The Tiger’s Eye: "Excellent unique food made with passion and great care + Fantastic service"
"After being recommended to attend the restaurant, I was impressed at the outset with the customer service from my phone communications with Timothy (chef) and Nick (manager). As a vegetarian with the exception of chicken, I wasn't impressed with the dinner menu, but after being lured there for dinner I was amazed with the food I ate. It was the first posh restaurant I have experienced in my life where the small quantities of food actually filled me up, making the price great value for money. I also loved how non-exciting menu descriptions resulted in explosions of flavour in my mouth making it a very unique eating experience. I had a starter, main and dessert. The carefulness in thought of what to have in each dish was very evident from the moment each dish I received came with a detailed explanation of what was in it. Myself and my guests were equally surprised with how great everything tasted, particularly when we were reluctant to try non traditional desserts. Each dish we ordered came in a different designed plate, contributing to the clear message that all aspects of the dining experience have been carefully thought. Similarly, the drinks also exceeded expectations. I loved the smoothies and my guests, who requested cocktails to be conjured up based on their preferred tastes, loved what they received. Each drink we ordered came in a different vessel, adding to the excitement of experiencing the unknown. I'm told the dinner menu will change each week, making this a place to visit regularly if it is within one's budget. I also went for brunch a few days later and enjoyed their pancakes. If you love North American pancakes, then it is a dish worth checking out. If I had to give any criticism, it would be to provide a greater selection of vegetarian and chicken dishes for the dinner menu. But, overall, I'm really really glad I went here despite my initial reluctance, and I know my guests had an amazing time too."Supanniga Eating Room: "Consistantly good"
"We've hit Supanniga again last night. Every time (twice a year) we come to Bangkok we make sure to have dinner there and have always been rewarded for sticking to good old habits. Last night was no exception. We tried to innovate choosing dishes we'd never tried before and were pleased with every single taste. Service was as always attentive. Supanigga remains a good destination for whoever is looking for good thai food with a twist in a cozy yet animated environment"Arumdalu: "Isolated natural beauty"
I visited with my wife for a weekend getaway from Jakarta, and found this to be a wonderful tonic for hectic traffic and work stress. It is isolated, and the drive from the airport is about an hour and 15 minutes, which is something to consider. However, we were very happy to be met by the resort's driver, and William, who took us on a short visit to the town for local coffee and noodles, which were great! The resort itself is still relatively new, and the staff's knowledge of English was limited, but their attentiveness, service, and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcome. The facilities are wonderful, with private (one bed) Villas with lovely open floor plan, private plunge pool surrounded by views of forest and natural sounds. The beach is white sand and you can literally be the only people on it, which is amazing for Indonesia, but there are lots of little jellyfish in the ocean, so be careful. The food was wonderful, and the chef quickly took in our pescetarian dietary preference and began to create delicious offerings for us with fresh seafood and veggies (some grown on the premises). It is pricey, but is a wonderful luxury getaway spot.SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Lake view"
Relaxing atmosphere in front of the lake and very service.... Enjoyed a great dinner alfresco with high quality foodSandat Glamping Tents: "Top of the Top!!!"
An exclusive location, relax, high quality service, privacy and italian cuisine. If you look for all this, accompanied by a good chat with owner, you have to live your experience at this resort in Ubud.Rachamankha: "Calm, cool haven. Love"
We loved Chiang Mai and loved our stay at the Rachamankha! The wonderful service began when we were picked up at the airport with ease and check in was a breeze. We were in room 10 which was nice and roomy. We were a little surprised that there wasn't more light in the room-- a bit of a medieval vibe-- but we slept well and after 3 days in Bangkok that's what we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and the grounds were nice and quiet. The pool was wonderful after exploring Chiang Mai and surroundings. It was our 10 year anniversary and the hotel treated us to champagne. Nice touch. We drank it lounging by the pool. The hotel is in walking distance to great temples and fun bars and restaurants. If you want to explore further, the hotel will arrange a Tuk Tuk or taxi to wherever you want to go. Be sure not to miss the night market and all the fun surrounding. I booked this hotel based on the Trip Advisor reviews and I was not disappointed. I pass my review on to the next traveler to Chiang Mai. Stay at the Rachamankha!Villa Song Saigon: "Perfect Hideaway"
Villa Song Saigon is the perfect quiet hideaway from the busy city! you can relax in a beautiful garden, with a wonderful view to the saigon river or just hang around the poolsite.. you have a privat speedboat shuttle from the hotel to downtown, which is the perfect way to go to ho chi minh city! toptoptop!Slow Villas and Spa: "Great place to stay"
Staff were really nice, villas are quiet, beautiful and clean. Not far from the sea. Really relaxing, perfect for families and couples and friends. Breakfast were delicious! I was really pleased during the 3 days i stayed. I hope i will have the chance to come back.Muang La Lodge: "A piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere"
"After a rough first week of travelling and very cold weather, we were thrilled to spend a couple of nights here. Gorgeous room, with HEATERS and hot water bottles, tastefully decorated, lovely bathrooms, with home grown bathsalts. The setting is delightful, on the river, and the infinity pool on its own island was a good place to unwind with a book when the sun comes out. All the little hidey holes have access to drinks and snacks and service is never far away. The spa itself, with the two huge hot spring-fed pools are elevated so you have a view of the surrounding countryside and are a panacea for weary limbs, and the massage sets you up for the next part of the journey! The five course dinner is light and carefully crafted, full of flavour, and the cocktails inventive and yummy. Little braziers kept us warm while we ate, and a large boma-type fireplace was comforting for an aperitif. We had a long walk on our free day round the local Khamu village, and enjoyed seeing village life at a slow pace, the pace it is lived. Excursions can be arranged to nearby hill tribes, but we didn't know about that. Even though the local staff dont speak much English it is good to see the management trying to give back other local community by providing jobs and an enhanced local spa for the village. I can't rate this place highly enough "Cuca: "Outstanding restaurant"
I took a friend to Cuca on our first night in Bali and we were absolutely wowed by the entire experience, so much so that we returned the following night to try the rest of the menu and double up on a couple of favourites from the previous evening. The ambience and service is top notch but the food is amazing! Hard to describe the mix of flavours, freshness and presentation. Each dish was a photo opportunity and a taste explosion. I can highly recommend a visit.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
