Cuca: "Is worth the drive…excellent Tapas"

Review by: Chris_depondt | Source: Trip Advisor
"The food and cocktails are excellent ! Totally worth the drive. First we start with the cocktail. They are tasty and pretty to the eyes. The tapas are creative and tasty. We love the Bravas, Black squid ""risotto"". Black squid ""risotto"" is made of finely cut squid instead of rice. It is yummy and it gives a different texture as compared to normal risotto. Bravas - Tempeh with sundried tomato gives a nice taste to the usually blend tempeh. Their garden setting is nice and should the weather permit, it will be nice to dine there. Good service as well !"

Satri House: "Wonderful stay"

This is one of the most beautiful hotel that we've stayed. Wonderful decoration with traditional style and wooden furniture. Room is spacious and clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive with perfect English.

MesaStila: "A peaceful sanctuary"

Review by: Liansheng W | Source: Trip Advisor
"MesaStila Resort and Spa is very serene and quiet; it is lovely for a getaway to do some writing, reading and relaxing. Our room (Aroum Villa) also had an outdoor day bed area which had the view of Mt Andong which was terrific. The room came with a bath tub which was nice to soak in and just while the time away. The room also had all the necessary amenities to make it a comfortable stay. The staff also made our bed and refilled the water twice a day. We also had complimentary fruits, and desserts in the evening. I would definitely recommend this to friends who are intending to have a short getaway, and I must say the staff at the resort made the stay very comfortable; they were attentive to our needs, and made us feel at home. We had a cycling trip to Candi Umbul and Grabag market, and our guide Nur made the experience very worthwhile. We also had a Sunrise tour at Borobodur and it was breathtaking. The tour guide, Latiff, provided many insights into the culture and philosophy of the Buddhists, and shared information about Indonesia as well. My friend and I didn't manage to try the Hammond spa (which was award-winning) and we would love to do so when we next visit MesaStila. One minor quip I had was how the menu was the same for the 4 days we were there; if there could be more variety, it would have made the resort experience perfect. My friend and I particularly liked the Indonesia dishes (at dinner) and the breakfast menu - A recommended dish would be the Nasi Goreng (fried rice). You can choose either red or white rice for the said dish, and we had the red rice option; I must say, it was a pleasant surprise! I particularly liked the muesli at breakfast - the breakfast was hearty and kept us filled for the day. I can go on about how lovely our experience at MesaStila was, but I'm afraid my words would not do justice to it; you would just have to experience it. They have thought out activities to keep their guests occupied (as the resort is situated rather far away from the city area) and have gone the extra mile to make the experience unforgettable for their guests. Lastly, I would recommend having tea at the Club House; it is calming and relaxing and the pastries went well with their wide selection of teas (and coffee). I truly had a reinvigorating time at the resort; I invite you to experience the same."

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A unique experiece"

Review by: jennypwinter | Source: Trip Advisor
The Blue Mansion was a wonderful, unexpected experience, a beautifully restored house with a calm and quiet environment. Large comfortable room, good choice of breakfasts and delicious food and good service in the Indigo restaurant. It is well worthwhile doing one of the tours to learn about the fascinating history given by a very entertaining Chinese lady. We found all the staff without exception to be very friendly and helpful, but in particular Shirley (I think that was her name) who gave us lots of advice of where to go and what to do which we did - the street art in Georgetown, markets, restaurants, Penang Hill and Battu Ferringai, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a very different few days, we haven’t stopped talking about theBlue Mansion.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Warm and welcoming"

Very friendly staff who provided excellent service! We would recommend this place to everyone! We received a free tour as part of the guest package. We then got a privet tour by the manager. The restaurant is excellent if you want a nice meal.

Manda De Laos: "Great experience, great celebration and great food"

Review by: Chingsabung | Source: Trip Advisor
"Went there yesterday evening for my wife secret birthday so emailed the restaurant few weeks ago as we knew we would be in Luang Prabang that specific day. The restaurant manager replied really promptly confirming dates hours etc. The restaurant looks stunning and give you a first great impression. Our good surprise was to find out that the restaurant manager gave us the special table in the middle of the pond so you get your privacy. I didn't know even myself so was really impressed and happy. Makes it quite romantic and perfect for the occasion. Food also was great, we had lao pork meatballs to start to share, for main we had the ribs and duck, was delicious. For desert we were full so shared a lovely coconut creme brulee. Then came another surprise after our desert with staff bringing another desert with candle and singing happy birthday. Such a nice and sweet attention mainly when I did not ask for anything but manager had the note from my reservation it was special occasion. We truly enjoyed our dinner and can only recommend it. Not a criticism as it did not affect our happiness but small constructive information, the cocktail menu has lots of vodka based drinks (all expect one based on whisky). Unfortunately that's the only alcohol my wife does not drink so would be nice to have other cocktail options. The other thing more informative for people who have never been, the food is quite refine and we would usually not go when travelling in South East Asia. It was mainly because it was special occasion for us so if you are like us you might not enjoy it but again all was amazing. It is definitely more expensive than average Lao prices but not overpriced for the service and food we had. Just thought I would mention this as I saw some bad reviews on this place which I think is more due to choosing not suitable place than the restaurant itself not being great. Hope that make sense. Basically just enjoy this amazing restaurant."

Anopura: "Absolute gem, far from the madding crowd!"

Review by: lfriviere | Source: Trip Advisor
"Fabulously stylish place in the countryside outside of Jaipur. The staff were wonderful and felt like we were in our own private home. Dinner was delicious and was served candlelit in the pool house overlooking the beautiful pool and gardens. But shush don't tell anyone or it may be fully booked next time we want to go!"

MesaStila: "My only regret is that I was only there one night"

Review by: Takethatfan99 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"This resort is truly stunning. The villa was huge - built in the traditional style - so it's actually very simple but has a real wow factor. Massive bed with ornately carved canopy. Separate seating area, outside verandah. Lovely staff, great restaurants. It's a big resort so plenty of walking required but it's such a pleasure to walk around you don't care. There are plenty of activities on offer from yoga to coffee plantation tours to croquet or outdoor chess. Pool area is delightful with a spa and gym that we did not have time to use. If you get the chance to stay here, don't pass it up. Definitely one of the best resorts I have ever had the fortune to stay in."

Bali Jiwa Villa: "Irresistible view over an oasis of nature…"

Review by: Tree-studio | Source: tripadvisor.com
"For those who know what it means, there are some places in this world which cannot be described with words or pictures. Bali Jiwa Villa is one of them. When we first arrive the driver had to go through some retreat villages shortly after Ubud to finally rush into a luxurious jungle over an horizon of rice fields. At the end of a small path cutting directly through the piece of jungle, Bali Jiwa Villa entrance appeared like an oasis in the desert. The door opened and a charming Balinese woman welcome us with a heartful smile. She escort us to the Villa which was perfectly arranged and neat, she left and came back with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. (...) Going around is quite easy. We personally recommend to rent a motorbike (just ask the staff) as driving is quite relax in this area. (...)Several local dining options are available around this area as well. Renting a car with a private driver is another option. To pampered yourself, Balinese Massage and Yoga Class are two delightful options, and for those feeling a little more sportive, cycling and rafting are two other possibilities. This place is a MUST in a lifetime, and a WOW!"
