Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful hotel on the water"
We absolutely loved our time at the Princess Beautiful and large room with a fire lit each night. Stunning view over the lake. Excellent spa treatments. Restaurant was rather disappointing as lacking atmosphere after 8pm. Definitely a 60+ resort Stay here or the AureumSupanniga Eating Room: "Great Thai food, not great street food but delicious nonetheless"
We stop by for dinner every year here and are never disappointed. It’s a nice looking restaurant lively and well designed. Staff is courteous friendly and takes care of the customers. Food is delicious, clean (no msg), served quickly. Prices are ok, plates are small so order a lot. We ordered a crab prik thai dish ( most expensive item on the menu (600 baht)) and it was fantastic. "We booked the luxury tent as part of our honeymoon. From pick up to drop off everything was 5 star! We had the most fantastic time and staff went the extra mile to make our stay extra special. The room itself was magnificent and we adored being able to shower under the stars. Everything about the room has been carefully thought out and lovingly handmade. The bed was extremely comfortable and we felt safe and secure in the tent. It felt like a tent from 'Harry Potter' as from the outside you would not expect them to be able to fit in so much luxury. The food! Every day we were greeted with a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. We even had private dining under the stars and a cookery lesson. I think my favourite had to be string hoppers and the coconut pancakes. Let's not forget the Safari. We managed to see a total of 5 leopards! (a mating couple, a very large male eating a monkey and a mother and cub on our last day!). Praneeth was our guide and he was very knowledgeable. A big thank you to everyone for making it so special, we will remember it so fondly and really hope to come back very soon! Samanea Beach Resort: "Kep, I adore you"
"Not in the main bit of town but only a short tuk tuk ride into the crab market. It was so nice and peaceful though. Staff are amazing and incredibly helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean. Just a small issue with doors closing properly to the outside bathroom which could've been an issue if not for the big spray provided by the hotel. If you're after a beautiful and relaxing location this is the place to stay."Inle Princess Resort: "Relaxing resort with great food"
"We stayed here for 2 nights in February and could have stayed a bit longer to explore the area more. This a lovely resort and the lake villa we had was really comfortable, clean with lovely bathroom and great outside shower. The food was great with lots of local dishes on the menu, using fresh produce. Service was excellent and the position of the restaurant just perfect. We organised a half day tour of the lake through the resort and this was certainly a highlight of our visit. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Locavore: "We were very satisfied"
Restaurant looks fabousous, employes care about you from your entering the restaurant till you leave...food was just perfectly tasty. We orderred 7 courses dishes but got maybe 14? courses. Portions were very small but after all courses we were full. I recomend it, you wont regret it.Tugu Lombok: "Art, history, and romance” sums it up perfectly"
"This resort exceeds the mantra that its owner established: ""The art, history, and romance of Indonesia."" My husband and I kicked off our Indonesia honeymoon here. We are sad that we started with the best, and did not stay longer. As city dwellers, we desperately needed relaxation away from crowds of high stressed people, and this was the perfect tranquil paradise. To sum it up: -#1 is the natural beauty and private luxury of the property. It's not a huge, tourist-packed resort. It feels like home. -Our private villa was bigger than our apartment, with its own plunge pool 10 feet away from the beach. The indoor/outdoor bathroom was interesting and felt like living with nature (don't be scared of ants). Definitely use the mosquito coils outside. -The service is top notch. The staff knew us by name and our daily itinerary; they swiftly responded to every need (transportation requests, lost item on the beach, last minute massage appointments, you name it). They even surprised us the last evening of our stay with a romantic artistic display in our villa. :) -The authenticity of the vast art collection, history, culture, and staff is very cool. You can learn so much about Indonesia history and culture from reading the dining menus or talking to the staff, most of whom are locals. -The food is amazing. The rich multi-asian cultural influences combined with local organic ingredients equates to delicious surprises at every meal. They also serve intercontinental cuisine perfectly. Don't miss the daily tea hour with adorable complimentary desserts! -The private beach is mostly empty and ocean water is super warm. Swim out to the hotel's floating raft to snorkel on the astoundingly clear reef. -Massages at the spa are awesome. You could get used to this! There were very few things to look out for: -Mosquitoes in dark places/at dinner (the hotel provides complimentary mosquito lotion) -Wifi is spotty in some areas (best in dining pavilions) -Don't try to swim/snorkel during low tide (you can walk at knee-deep water for a mile out!) Amazing stay. We can't say enough about our stay and hope that we can return soon!"Rachamankha: "Impressed"
Stayed here for our honeymoon and wow was it a great choice! The pool is stunning and the grounds are something super special. You feel like royalty here. The staff wants nothing more than to help and please you and do such a great job of making your stay lovely! They gave us fee champagne upon arrival and the manager was so lovely. Airport pickup with them went swimmingly and the breakfast was five star every morning! Couldn't be more full never ending amount of food offered! Room service was a delight as well. Only thing I would say is stay away from the burger and the dinner at the restaurant both were below average. Other than that everything was five star perfection! Will never forget this place!!The River Resort: "Quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve stayed"
"This resort is spectacular. I simply cannot fault it. The welcome was very warm and friendly. We were upgraded to a River front room which was glorious! The room is amazing - modern, light, spotlessly clean, indoor outdoor shower, most comfortable bed I've been in! The restaurant food is beautiful. Big serves and quality produce. Their homemade yogurt at breakfast is beautiful. I didn't want to leave. You must stay here! We also got picked up from Pakse, a free massage each, and dropped over to the other side of the river to catch a bus to 4000 islands."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
