The Island Lodge: "Delightful Oasis"
"We stayed just one night at the end of a Mekong Delta tour. Michel organised our pick up, which was a lovely trip in a long boat. We were greeted warmly on arrival and that feeling continued on during our stay. Staff were very friendly, polite and engaging. The rooms were lovely and well appointed, although a small fridge would have been a welcome addition. The food was good, a nice combination of French and Vietnamese and breakfast was delicious. Fresh bread/pastries and fruit and as much of whatever else as we wanted. We went for a walk into the village and got lost on the way back. The locals were very helpful with directions and eventually we called the lodge and they came and fetched us, we were only 300m away!!"Misool: "EXISTE PARAISO NA TERRA"
Paraíso perdido no planeta terra.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Paradise!"
A bit of a trek to get there, but well worth it. We would certainly like to go back. Luxurious tents, everything was beautifuly clean. People so welcoming, very friendly and good fun. Food was excellent and served in a lovely restaurant. Woke up every morning to see the river, the forest behind and know we were in for a great day. Trips daily if you want to go. Really recomment the waterfall and kayaking around the mangroves.Villa Song Saigon: "Fantastic place by the river in district2 stay three times"
This the best hotel in saigon in my view really comfortable rooms fantastic staff great pool gym great terrace on the river song great air con restraints food is great Vietnamese European food fantastic German restraints manger the breakfast is second to none and it is very nice old villa with amazing gardens I will come back money times in the futerThe Apsara Rive Droite: "A real gem!"
The Apsara rive droite is a lovely small friendly and luxurios hotel. We loved it and had a river view room with a nice terrass overlooking the river. The staff was nice and especially the assistant manager who was so helpsome and kind. We borrowed bikes during the day and took the hotels river boat in the evening. We relaxed around the pool and most of the time it was peaceful and quiet. I was surprised to ser that there were small kids since I had seen on the internet that kids under 12 were not allowed! Of course it 's hard for young kids to talk quitely and not to yell and laugh loudly so I think it would be better in such a quiet place not to let kids stay there. When you travel without your kids you don't want to be awakened by other kids and you want to have breakfast and other meals in quiet surroundings. It could be old information but there still is information on certain sites that kids are not allowed. It's a super nice place and I really recommended it!Arumdalu: "Great honeymoon and vacation!"
This was our first -and surely not the last- visit to Arumdalu. Private beach was awesome with white sand and great view. Room was very comfortable for couples, no tv means we had the place for ourselves. Strongly recommended for couples who want to refresh themselves. And maybe a good place for a deep thinking too..Villa Song Saigon: "More luxurious after renovation"
It's been awhile since I stayed at Villa Song Saigon. I was surprised to see that the place has become even better after the recent renovation. The restaurant looks better and the new menu is even more gastronomic than the previous menu. It is really worth checking it out again. The staff continue to be accommodating and nice as always.Talabgaon Castle: "Family owned Castle in the Indian countryside"
A group of four friends on the way from Jaipur to Ranthambore stopped at this magical place. It was like stepping back into time, when life was slower, and more elegant. The hotel is the generations old great-house of a noble family from Jaipur, who also happen to be some of the best polo players in India! The grounds include a polo field, gorgeous pool, and lots of little paths that criss-cross the gardens. The family treats you like a guest and like a member of the family — while we were there we were treated to a beautiful supper on the grass in the late afternoon sun — magical! All the rooms have been renovated and have amazing marble floors and fabulous baths, each with its own unique series of nooks and windows with amazing views of the countryside. The little village that is just outside the gates of the castle is charming too. What a delightful contrast to all the business that is India. A great place to relax and experience life at an Indian family 'home.'Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing views, excellent food, friendly staff"
"The views from the property were exceptional and breathtaking. Served a delicious breakfast full of locally produced and cooked ingredients. Beautiful village walk with Hari followed by a superb lunch. Excellent service and generous hospitality. Bvery interesting to hear about the lodges involvement and support of the local community schools. Thank you Marcus and your team. Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"The Village House: "Quiet and secluded"
"The a Village House is well positioned on the Santubong for accessing local attractions. It is also only 100 metres from a windswept beach which is lovely for early morning walks. The bird watching is great. The accommodation is really very nice. The design of the place, with all rooms facing inward, overlooking the pool, creates an intimate and friendly environment where you can simply forget every single worry in the world. (...) I went twice whilst living Malaysia and it provided much needed respite from the stresses of living in KL. A magical place."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
