Hotel Tugu Bali: "Unforgettable experience"
"My partner & I stayed with Tugu for a weekend and had the most unforgettable time. We were greeted by the PR of the hotel who gave us a detailed and wonderful tour of the place. Annisa showed us Tugu's very own museums and temples located at the front of the hotel, which is also opened to the public. The spa at Tugu is a must, we stayed in Bali for 1 month and had numbers of massage and the treatments at the Spa here is by far the most impressive. Perfect sunset watching point at Ji by The Terrance at the hotel which also serves amazing sushi and cocktails. Breakfast & Dinner in the hotel were perfect, a great mix of western and Indonesian food with impeccable services. Our room was perfect for a couple and has a breathtaking view of the lotus pond in the hotel overlooking Echo beach. We had an incredible time and would definitely come back. 10/10 Thank you again for such an incredible stay."Slow Villas and Spa: "Amazing"
We spent an amazing honeymoon designed by Gilita (the travel agency of the owner of Slow private pool villas) and it was perfect! We spent 6 nights at Slow and we didn t want to leave. Breakfast is delicious, the new spa for the massages and Pilates courses is top! The villas are perfectly clean, very calm and beautiful. Thanks a lot at the staff for the lovely stay at Slow...Misool Eco Resort: "A True Island Paradise"
"There are plenty of Lengthy reviews here already so will keep this succinct. Just spent 10 Sublime days & 9 Exquisite Nights at Misool Eco Resort this September. Would have happily spent 10 more. This is a truly special place. I have not been to another resort anywhere that matches the genuine care, warmth and concern that all of the staff show for their guests. Mark and Sue, with their vast Island Resort experience, along with their humble unassuming nature bring a level of Empathetic service and understanding that is unmatched anywhere! I could list all of the other frontline staff by name and thank them individually, but I was equally impressed with all of them, as they were all totally genuine and helpful and an absolute delight to share the island with. This is not some pretentious 5 star resort in the Maldives, or Bora Bora that has spared no expense on all of the modern luxuries at the expense of its surroundings and the Native Peoples. It is a perfect, flawless uncut diamond built in perfect harmony and balance with it's mostly untouched surroundings, in a well considered, thoughtful and sustainable way. The resort manages to simultaneously give back to the local people whilst truly supporting and restoring its pristine surroundings to all of their original glory. If you are a diver, the abundance of Soft Corals and Marine Life on all of the surrounding reefs is overwhelming. If you are not a diver, a leisurely afternoon swim or snorkel on the house reef is just as impressive. You won't find another experience quite like staying Misool Eco Resort anywhere! If you are considering it, Do it! As soon as you have, you will want to go back for more."The Hue House: "Possibly best meal in Vietnam"
Came here on our last night in Vietnam. Hidden gem: the restaurant was a bit hard to find. Didn't quite realise it was a rooftop restaurant, the building it is in looks like an office building and there was no signage at the bottom of the building and cafes next door did not know the place either. Anyways, we found it and were incredibly impressed. All dishes were really good, had a mix of noodle and rice dishes and appetisers, lots of flavour, beautiful tastes. If I'd have to call out one dish: rice pancakes w shrimp were fantastic. Possibly the best meal we have had in our fortnight in Vietnam.Villa Song Saigon: "A luxurious and peaceful escape from the bustle of the city"
"Our first two nights in Vietnam were spent at Villa Song. This was the most idyllic way to kickstart our holiday. The location beside the river is specatular. We had the suite on the top floor with the little parlour. Our two girls slept in the parlour which worked perfectly - leaving us in the four poster bed. This is a very romantic, charming hotel - the furnishings and fittings are beautiful. But the key for us was that it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The first day we were collected by tour company Les Rives to take us by boat to the Chi Chi Tunnels – this was perfect because they could simply collect us and drop us back at the hotel’s private pier. The restaurant is fabulous – a beautiful al fresco location for dinner and breakfast. "Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Surpassed all safari expectations"
My Mom and I stayed in a tent and went for 4 drives (two early morning and two afternoon). Everything was incredible! The camp is set-up just outside the back entrance of Yala National park, which meant that there were less people (and jeeps). The camp itself is beautiful and we saw fantastic wildlife on the drive to the camp gates. Our field guide (Saj) was fantastic. He has a natural science degree and trained at the safaris in Africa. He knows everything about the animals including the birds. My Mom is a #birder, and with Saj's guiding, we saw 100 #birds We had 5 #leopard sightings, many of which were at very close range. One leopard walked right beside our jeep and paused to make eye contact. We saw numerous #elephants as well including #tuskers The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I am #celiac and need to eat #GlutenFree and #DairyFree This was absolutely no problem. I did a lot of research in choosing this safari and have no regrets. It really was spectacular! Request Saj as your field guide.Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "TALABGAON CASTLE AMAZING"
WOW. What an amazing place. Whilst we did not stay overnight, we spent a day. Our guide, Annpurna , was the most wonderful host, friendly, informative, inventive, colourful - simply the best. We were fortunate to spend time with her in her home in Jaipur and her family home, Talabgaon Castle. We made a new friend! Annpurna made sure we made the most of our day when we had the opportunity to visit her family home and village and meet and spend time with her beautiful family. The staff at Talabgaon Castle will ensure your visit or stay is perfect. The hospitality and friendliness is a treat in itself. We were invited for a complete tour of the resort rooms, hotels and facilities and they are world class. Arriving on the very colourful Camel Cart as we pass through the local village, the people are so friendly and the children just love it when visitors arrive at the Castle. Red Carpet entrance with welcome drinks and flowers. After a tour of the Castle and the grounds we enjoyed a very welcome lunch at the resort ,- the food was amazing and the service was simply the best, and then we were whisked off to be dressed and travel to town. We are now in local colourful attire and are taken to another nearby village - this experience is amazing. As we walked and talked with the local women and children. Enjoying the most amazing colourful markets and the most amazing display of fresh food that you will ever see. A few hours goes very fast and every minute is fabulous. Everyone is so friendly, they are loving the Western Visitors whom they do no see very often. If the world could be this friendly , fresh and colourful we would all be happy every day. A day or a few days spent at the Resort and the local village is time you will never forget. Simply Majestic. Thank you for sharing your day and your family with us. Such wonderful Memories (Oct 2017) Sally and MaggieMume: "Knocked it out of the park!"
"we ordered 2 appetizers- Oysters and tartlets, 3 small dishes- prawns, waygu tartare and beef tongue and 2 big dishes- amadai fish and beef cheek. 2 deserts - Cucumber sorbet and passion fruit cake. 1 bottle of water and 2 glasses of wine. Oysters and tartlets were both very good. Prawns, tartare and beef tongue were excellent. Amadai fish and beef cheek were nothing short of amazing. Deserts were also very creative and tasted great. I mean when was the last time that you thought of cucumber as a desert ? This is a restaurant that is truly deserving of a 5 star rating."Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "Wonderful stay!"
It's as though we walked on the the set of "Out of Africa" with all the period pieces. Great location, staff, room was neat, clean and spacious. It's off the beaten track but then again most of the great places are.Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place"
"Just left after a couple of nights in a Lake View villa. What an amazing place, difficult to know where to start... Firstly, the location is incredible. Arriving by long tail boat is a unique experience and the whole resort is gorgeous. Secondly, the rooms are large and luxurious - lovely facilities including the outdoor shower. Thirdly, the staff are very friendly and the food is excellent. Finally, so much to do... we had two great half day trips on the lake and cycled to the vineyard on the last afternoon. Would definitely recommend a trip to Inle Lake"
