Amata Lanna: "Relaxing and Extremely Friendly Staff"
"A very nice spot for any kind of trip to Chiang Mai. Very clean and the best staff you could find to always make sure you are happy. We always felt welcome and felt like we were family. The rooms are decorated very nicely and has a nice Thai style and the courtyard is a small oasis like setting that is very pleasant. Overall very impressed with the Amata Lana."Tugu Lombok: "a memorable stay"
"+ luxurious but not pretentious hotel, reasonably priced for such a wonderful establishment and good service + very helpful staff ready to go the extra mile for clients. we enjoyed every little attentions they gave us + 2 giant pools facing the sea and private white sand beach, plus free entertainment facilities make day time really enjoyable and peaceful + breakfast card is delicious and plus point is at any time of the day + we dined by the sea one night and the setting was very romantic. food is a bit pricier than outside but very reasonable given it s a 5 star establishment + easy access to the gili islands by boat + the tranquility of the place makes a perfect paradise for honeymooners and families or group of friends - remote from main touristic zone making the access a bit more complicated, but taxis are readily available and cheap. hotel car was about 3 times local taxi costs but offers more comfort - night time can get quite dark and a bit scary for fainted hearts - rain shower in the bathroom was a bit messy and water evacuation slow - ants. a lot of them in the bathroom. given it s an outdoor space, it can only be normal"Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Location and Stunning Boutique Hotel!"
"On arrival, there are two lovely old vintage cars parked in the drive of this authentic hotel, which is located far enough away from the tourist part of town, but near enough to everything you need! We had a bungalow suite which is really large and not only has a nice comfortable bed with good pillows and linens, but there is a large bath with petals if one wants, plus a large walk in shower, and also a sauna on the other side! There is a separate toilet off the lounge area, and a garden area outside, so that you have everything you need! The swimming pool is really nice and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There is a fabulous restaurant called Marum, which is a training restaurant just at the bottom of the road, where we had a great meal, and there are also some good laundries nearby within walking distance. The service at the hotel is really good, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. My only negative comment is that we would have preferred a larger breakfast menu, as you have to order and is not a buffet, so limited options. Also, we were given a free 15 min massage each, which is very nice gesture, but when my husband, who didn’t want his, asked to give it to me so I could have 30 mins, they couldn’t do this as wasn’t policy! Notwithstanding that, I had a lovely relaxing massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, as you really get the feel for the area, better than staying in one of the large chain hotels which were all very near the airport, on one long stretch of road. We also ate at Maris restaurant, and were lucky to get a reservation at Cuisine Wat Damnak, the best restaurant there! But you must book from the UK for that one. All in all, a great choice of hotel, we could get a Tuk tuk easily into town, and a visit to the night market and the old quarter is well worthwhile, in fact get the tuk tuk to give you a tour around town for $5, is great fun!"Reverie Siam Pai: "Excellent resort with a view"
"We booked ourselves a mountain view room and was very pleased with it (i.e. decor / amenities and the spaciousness of the room). Our balcony was facing the pool overlooking the mountain and White Buddha view from afar. Good a la carte breakfast with wide selection of wines and beverages. The resort also provide free shuttle (buggy) transfer to and from the bus station which is good enough for us to walk around the walking street area. Credits to their punctuality on the pick-up. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. With all the info givens, we booked a half day tour thru the hotel. We enjoyed the ambience of the resort throughout the trip. A truly hidden gem resort for those who needs a relaxing trip away from the busy city life."David’s Kitchen: "Incredible from beginning to end"
All of the superlatives for David's kitchen are well deserved-it is clear that all the people here care and pay attention. Yes David does make an effort to speak to all diners and even more impressive he actually remembers what was said. We received an email the next day detailing our conversation and giving the name of a restaurant in Singapore he had suggested we would love. The food is among the best we have had-Chinag Mai is indeed lucky to have such a high calibre restaurant. We had the seared Tuna(which was presented as beautifully as it tasted) and Foie gras. I had the surf and turf as it was my birthday celebration and my husband had the beef cheeks that were exceptional. The attention to all the details from reservation to greeting to seating and through the dinner, we felt cared for and appreciated. This truly is an exceptional team who deliver on the promise of a fine dining experience- and that it is- A SUPERIOR EXPERIENCE.Well done!Cuca: "Great food!"
This interesting concept restaurant had Japanese inspired tapas. The food and service were excellent! We really enjoyed the broccoli Caesar, the ceviche, the meatballs and the meat and potatoes. Good for kids as well!Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Lombok at its best"
"Rooms can be beautiful, beaches pristine clear, food excellent (and all of this was), but what makes an hotel stands out from the rest is its staff! I do not know when and if I shall return to Tugu Lombok but it has made a mark in my travel experiences! Everything eas just so perfect and the last night surprise when we returned to the room way so thoughtful. We just felt genuinely welcomed as guest and not just customers! We leave this hotel with a feeling I have very rarely felt in all my travels! Thank you Tugu hotel Lombok"Villa Song: "Singing praises for Villa Song"
Room upgraded and flowers for my wedding anniversary, personal service put a smile on my dial. Absolutely nothing to fault with our stay. Meal in the evening was great as was the breakfast. The complimentary speed boat to the city was fantastic too.Reverie Siam Pai: "Glad we stayed here!"
It was a great place to come back to from busy Pai. Just 5 mins from Main St by free shuttle service. Fabulous room with mountain views, private terrace. Loved the garden setting and pool areas. Excellent varied breakfast is made to order. We had pre-dinner drinks each evening but didn't have dinner there as it was Spanish-Italian food. Was hoping for upscale Thai. They also have a cute shop onsite but it was usually closed with no signage. Lovely staff. Wasn't crazy about a Pai but this hotel made our stay worthwhile.David’s Kitchen: "Best dining experience in Chiang Mai"
This restaurant is a must if you are in Chiang Mai. The food, service and overall experience were exceptional. David greeted us upon arrival to the restaurant and continued to check in on us throughout the meal. He and his staff made us feel like royalty. The food was second to none. Highlights included the pumpkin soup and wagyu beef cheek. We walked away with full stomachs and fuller smiles. We can't wait to come back next time.
