Tugu Bali: "Best experience, a must in Bali"
"Paradise! From the staff, the hotel, the service and amenities, rooms.... I felt at home. I can't stress how much it's worth every penny, and that you will cherish and be thankful that you treated yourself to this little piece of paradise."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Beautiful"
"Hotel was surrounded by beautiful and impressive nature. The food was very good (in a such remote place I was not expecting this level). The manager and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They offer a boat tour to a very beautiful waterfall longer up the river. And if you want, you can take the kayak back. Worked very well with transfers from/to other hotels."Satri House: "Fantastic boutique hotel"
Great service, well maintained, and smoothly run boutique hotel located just 500m from Luang Prabang downtown. Very friendly and discreet service, rooms in good shape and a fine breakfast restaurant as well as good pool and spa services. We'll be back.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Lovely"
"This is our second visit to Golden Buddha, the first was 4 years. I would say that many things have improved since then, First and foremost, the new manager, Massi, is truly wonderful - what a change! The restaurant have been rebuilt and now looks more smart, a new shop has been added and a pizza bar near the beach has been built. The staff is extremely friendly and smiley - many thanks to Nin, who works at the restaurant - she is a gem. The massages, we had one every day for 11 days are great too. We loved the food, but I think guests would welcome a slightly wider selection of dishes. The villas are truly well kept and very comfortable - I would recommend staying in a beachfront one and away from the restaurant. You also may want to check how close your particular cottage is to the neighbouring one. the island, with its long, deserted beaches is unique. the fact that there are truly just 3 resorts, of which Golden Buddha is the smartest, remains a big plus to us. There are a couple of things we were not too keen on. I should say that we decided to return to Golden Buddha to relax, enjoy the peace and quietness and pick up yoga again. Since our last visit the resort seems to have become popular with families with young children. Whilst some kids were well behaved, others where not and it made dinner and breakfast at the clubhouse less enjoyable that it might have been. The biggest disappointment were the yoga classes. Alex, the so called teaches ranted at each lesson about, what he called, new age yoga. Basically everything but the pure original yoga. He therefore stated that he was tracking Indian gymnastic instead. What was most annoying was his lack of interest and the fact that he did not want to correct people, hence, in my view, did not teach at all. Lastly, prices for food and massages were a tini bit high I thought and I would recommend that the resort buys lounge chairs for all its guests. In any case, I would still highly recommend Golden Buddha,. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Elegant hotel on the Saigon River"
"We started our vacation in Vietnam in this elegant hotel. It looks and feels like British colonial times. We ate our breakfasts on the banks of the Saigon river and had delicious food there. Our room was on the third floor and there are no elevators. We never carried our suitcases - the service was wonderful. We were looking for a place to eat and the staff told us where locally they went to eat and we had a delicious lunch there. We took their water taxi into the city and it was a treat to ride on the river in that way. The pool there is lovely and staff are around to take care of your every need. We couldn't have had a better start to a fabulous two weeks in Vietnam. "Tugu Bali: "Excellent property with excellent team"
"Tugu Bali is exotic experience. this is not modern multi story sky scrapper with typical stereotype ambiance. Its just different. It offers that serenity. you get chance to experience local culture and local recipes and most importantly, if you are looking out for total relaxation, this is the place for you. Most impressive part is the hotel staff. the whole team is courteous and make you feel special. They take extra care to meet your every expectation. They are too good. Food quality as well is very good, though the variety is bit limited."The Cabochon Hotel: "Bangkok’s Finest Boutique Hotel"
Every time I visit Bangkok, Cabochon is my accommodation choice. In fact, I've stayed there five times. And each time, the experience was better than the last. I love the old world charm, chic colonial decor, delicious breakfast, and warm and sincere service. Its restaurant Thai Lao Yeh serves good Isan inspired cuisine. The shaved ice desserts are to diet for. The location is convenient, just 10 mins walk to Bangkok's newest mall EMQuartier. The very hip Sing Sing Theatre is a stone's throw away. Cabochon is a must stay if you love original non-cookie cutter hotels. I'll definitely be back!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Fabulous Eco-chic"
"Magical stay at 4Rivers floating lodge at Tatai river. The eco resort is beautiful and lovely settings. The private tends are well appointed, with air conditioning and toilet. Although, during the night the electricity went down a couple times. Take the waterfall tour with picnic and go and enjoy a pure natural environment. The resort is located in the middle of a private natural reserve , 6h from Phnom Penh and 5h to sihanoukvillle. The place is truly magical and if you want a real peaceful experience to relax from daily stress, this is the place to go. Restaurant menu limited but very good. The wifi exists but it's limited. There's also DVD and books available to guests. You could swim and jump from your tend directly to the river. Water is mixed (fresh and salt) and it's secure (no crocs) although it's impressive to swim without seeing the bottom. There's only 6 tends on each side, with magnificent jungle view which gives you a sense of peace and tranquility. Our 2 days stay was memorable and magical. We are a family with teens and they loved this resort. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Ideal place to rest"
"I have thought long and hard about this place and in truth would have given a 4.5 rating, it deserves more than a 4 but not quite a 5 for me. It has been mentioned e resort is remote, this is a bonus and a hinderance depending on the length of your stay. Here more than a week and you may feel a bit trapped, a few days and an idyllic escape. There is a restaurant near the main entrance, face 7/11, turn left and walk about 120m and it is next to a Korean restaurant. Never got there ourselves but a chef on holiday went and highly recommended it. We took a taxi into Chongmon for an evening away. It must be said the food, accommodation, service and staff are very good and worth staying to eat, but it is more expensive. Just outside the hotel are a couple of taxi/travel shops. We used one for taxiing to Fishermans Village one evening and a mornings trip round the Island and found them good value. Another hotel resident had issues with them on car hire, so go carefully. We had a sea view room with pool, well worth the extra for us when you want some privacy. You also have the hotel pool and beach nearby if you want to be sociable. Beach is OK and shared with the Outrigger Hotel next door. Some rocks to snorkel round and can be a bit rough, but that's nature and varies. On Sunday afternoons a live band, quiet good, and Wednesdays an evening where guests get a few nibbles and drinks. Pay the owner is often around and a pleasant host. Faith is resident hotel liaison and good for sorting anything you need from local tips, hotel issues or advice where to visit Not far from ferry to Ko Tao and Koh Penang and also close to airport but flights do not disturb hotel. Well worth a visit and hope to return. Room Tip: All with pool were good"SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A sanctuary of Yangon"
If you seek a retreat from the hustles of busy Yangon, Seeds is definitely the place you have to go to. Not only the unique ambience and very friendly & professional staff convinces every visitor, it's the heart that Luzia and Felix invest into every single detail. The chef's creations are beyond wonderful in taste and decoration, Felix's truffle ravioli another heart melting surprise. Don't miss it and enjoy your meal :-)Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
