Sea Dance Resort: "Where everybody knows your name"
"...and they're always glad you came..." That theme song from the TV show "Cheers" should be this friendly resort's theme song. It seems that the staff always welcomed us by our names like a friend or family member. Great resort with clean, spacious, modern rooms. They really paid attention to details such as providing mosquito swatter, sprays, umbrellas, and unique decors too such as a pond with fishes and frog in the bathroom, fish net baskets as lights in the restaurant Loved the happy hours, buffets, entertainment provided, plunge pool privacy and expansive menu at the restaurant. All great ideas for my club facilities back home. Would definitely come back. Only drawback is the lack of scheduled on site activities and equipment fitness center. They do offer cooking classes but would be nice to have more, such as yoga or Thai cultural classes. The beach was rocky but water is clean and refreshing. Thank you so much to the staff and owner for a memorable stay.Talabgaon Castle: "Great heritage resort"
We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our heritage room was tastefully decorated in a tradional style and made good use of the original arched architecture, quite charming. The monogrammed bedlinen and fluffy white towels were beautiful, and not found elsewhere in our four weeks in India. The gardens and pool area were beautifully maintained, and a great place to relax and dine. Service was sometimes slow, but it is good to see that locals are being trained to provide it. The food when it came was excellent. In all, a wonderful place to chill out, and great value.Mathis Retreat: "Perfect, Peaceful Stay in Ubud"
The Kenanga hotel was so beautiful and peaceful. I went there with a friend of mine over the holidays, and the staff was very accommodating. The lovely woman who owns the hotel was very sweet as well, and gave us great recommendations for good restaurants in the area. The hotel is located a little bit outside of Ubud, but close enough that it is only a short, inexpensive taxi from the main town center. There is also a free shuttle from the hotel to and from the center of town during the day. The infinity pool at the hotel overlooks the rice paddies, and the rooms were beautiful and very clean. The wifi is a little spotty in the rooms, but works great in the lobby, restaurant, and by the pool. I would definitely visit this hotel again!Samanea Beach Resort & Spa: "Excellent stay, highly recommended, amazing staff!"
Highly recommended resort, rooms very comfy and spacious, outdoor shower, nice pool. The staff is amazing, always ready to help and bring drinks/fruit. Restaurant excellent, very tasty food! Very peaceful and quiet.Flower Island: "Our favourite place in the Philippines"
"This is the perfect place for people like us - wanting to get slightly off the beaten path but with creature comforts such as good water pressure, comfy bed, good food...and most importantly, a beautiful beach with some of the best snorkelling right off the beach we have seen. (...) The snorkelling was incredible - such a beautiful, healthy reef with tons of fish. We were honestly snorkelling 3-4 times a day and it was always different. I am torn as I sort of don't want to tell too many people about this gem of a place but also want to share the experience as this is what we were looking for in the Philippines. Without a doubt the highlight of our trip in terms of places we stayed and we will absolutely go back. Thanks to all the lovely staff as well who made our stay so enjoyable."Tugu Bali: "Great place to stay"
"Tugu is comfortable, staff pay a lot of attention to your every need, very baby friendly. Breakfasts were great. Pool was a great respite from the heat (especially as the beach is more of a surfer's paradise). The rooms are very well designed with attention to detail. Every corner has a little, fascinating curio to be discovered. The sound of the beach in the distance is very calming. however, there are a few bars/clubs on the street behind which might have some loud music thumping into the night - you may or may not be perturbed by this. Great bars and restaurants near by and a few metres away from the beach. We'll definitely consider the Tugu for our next stay. Room Tip: all rooms have their own charm"Tugu Lombok: "Very Polite Staff and Excellence Service"
Hotel Tugu Lombok is located near Bangsal port (port from Lombok island to Gili islands). Firstly, I came to hotel just for asking their room rates since I already knew their famous unique hotel in Malang. Surprisingly, their staffs are very polite and informative giving explanation about their room types and also the rate. They also let me and my family to walk around hotel and saw several rooms. Finally we took a rest in their restaurant while enjoying some fresh juices and pizza. Although we didn't stay for this moment, but I will recommend this hotel for their excellence service, friendliness and polite staffs.Amata Lanna: "Hidden jem"
"This is the second time we have stayed here and hopefully not the last. The owner and staff are amazing and very helpful. We stayed in the same room as before which overlooks the lovely little pool. Room is a good size with a large bathroom with both shower and large bath. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was always a delight with both Asian and western choices. I understand that the owners are having a second hotel built,if the same standards are kept up it can only be a great success."Pindaya Farm House: "Just Wonderful!"
"We completely endorse all previous comments. Having driven thro a patchwork of colourful fields in rolling hills, we were warmly welcomed. You can hear the silence here. Very comfortable beds, excellent bedding (warm too luckily, it hit freezing at night!) and high class shower and bathroom fittings. Midday saw us sitting on our balcony in the sunshine drinking in the view. The owners can arrange all sorts of trips and treks, but don't miss the weaver in the village up the road. Our only small criticism, which didn't bother us too much, or detract from our enjoyment, is that the sound insulation between us and our neighbour was not very good. It certainly helped us get to know, and make friends with them quickly! We hope it improved trans Atlantic relations"Villa Song Saigon: "Is Villa Song as good as before"
We visited Villa Song in May 2015. Our review was a bit gushing but accurate. We finally made it back for our second visit hoping it would be as good.......it is better. If you were to write a handbook as to how to run a 5 Star boutique hotel, start with Villa Song. Nothing is left to chance. The staff are professional, friendly, efficient and so happy. The rooms are stylish and very comfortable. The pool and public areas are excellent. The restaurant puts out superb, beautifully presented food created by Chef Kevin and his brigade - you won't get bored with his brilliant and evolving menu. A guest asked for a drink from the bar that the bar staff were not familiar with. My wife told them the ingredience but before they gave it to the guest, they mixed two and brought them to our room to see which was better before mixing it for their guest.....service? I could go on and on about the hotel. In my first review I said that they treat you like an honored guest. This time we felt like friends. Who knows - next time we may be treated like family and have to make our bed and wash our own dishes...we will still be back as soon as we can. 'Our Second Home'
