For our first time in Bali, we chose to stay at La Villa Mathis. We loved this haven. This hotel is a beautiful concept, atypical bedrooms in small independent corners with 4 pools in total! You feel free to move in the middle of this very restful greenery, to swim where you want. Everything is well thought out, very nice decor throughout the hotel, plus personal pampering and smiling throughout the day! What happiness! We will not hesitate to return and reside also in Ubud. We go to lunch at Mathis Retreat during our day in Ubud and it is also a delight. What serenity !!Arumdalu: "Lovely and peaceful"
We had the resort to ourselves for 4 days.If you want some fresh air and peace and quiet this is the place to come! Beautiful beach and lovely staff! Just watch out for the sandflies. Two days would probably be ideal.Tugu Lombok: "A Week In Paradise"
Four adults and a 2 yr old, we had a wonderful relaxing week at this hotel. The style is rustic/antique, beachfront. The rooms are scattered around the grounds and only a short walk to the dining, spa etc. The staff were very attentive and made a big fuss of our grandson. We had a variety of dining experiences,all of which were amazing - Royal Dining Experience, and on the beach not to be missed. They also were able to arrange a babysitter for us and boat trips to neighbouring islands, with snorkling on the way.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating holiday"
Very enjoyable weekend on kayaks, in waterfalls, jumping into the river. The staff was very helpful, and we enjoyed the meals. After the busyness of Phnom Penh, 4 Rivers was a perfect escape. "We stayed only for 2 nights.i liked the colonial minimal decoration of the spacious room with it' s adorable outside shower.The stuff were all ready to serve you ,helpful and smily. I loved the Hawaiian pool,and the pier which drives you to the ocean. The cleanliness would be better.The towels wasn't very clean but overall the feeling was good. The breakfast is poor.You have only two choices of the menu,like an omelet and fruits. The resort is a little far of the town ,but with a tuk tuk is easy to go. Perfect stay from beginning to end. Staff were incredibly friendly and always looking to assist. Great location, just off sukhumvit road and 5 mins from the Skytrain, yet feels wonderfully tranquil and cut off from the hustle and bustle. Have already recommended to friends visiting in the near future, and will most certainly be returning ourselves.Villa Mathis: "Contents"

"We had a very happy 4 days stay at this very lush and well kept 22 acres resort / staying ins huge garden. The service was superb and all the staffs including the villagers where we walked were very friendly. We enjoyed the very interesting background of this coffee plantation. We had a huge villa facing Mount Andong which we also climbed to have a good view of the farms below. It is a 11/2 hrs steep climb but not difficult.
