The Island Lodge: "Perfect"
"We loved the Island Lodge. The resort is beautiful and serene, particularly after experiencing the bustle of HCMC. Our room was spacious with a generous balcony overlooking the pool and the river beyond. Great pool with plenty of loungers, shaded and unshaded. Attentive and efficient staff. The owner made a point to personally welcome us and was on hand to say good-bye. We highly recommend the spa- the herbal massage was possibly the best we'd ever had. We enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and thought the prices were reasonable. The only negative aspect of our stay is that it wasn't long enough. Can't rate this place highly enough, it was just a perfect evening and that's saying a lot, given how picky I am about service & presentation. Service was attentive and earnest but not overbearing. Food was delicious and well-presented. Wine list was quite sufficient to meet our tastes and the dishes we'd ordered. Finally the view was lovely towards the river, the fairy lights were pretty and the building itself is quite something. We wanted a nice, hassle-free romantic dinner and Le Calao delivered a truly lovely evening.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Understated splendour"
Marvellous! If you are coming to George Town, you’ve got to stay here if only for 1 night. Take the tour to understand the building. With curry followed by bread and butter pudding and creme anglaise for breakfast, heavenly.Supanniga Eating Room: "Beautiful food and setting"

"A four hour drive from Phnom Penh then a 25 minute boat journey brings you to a beautiful floating hotel on the Tatai River. Our first glimpse made us all go ""ahhhhh!"" The 5 star tents on pontoons are anchored on pristine waters alongside palm fringed jungle and it was everything we hoped it would be. Evenings on our private deck were stunning, diving into clean cool water from our own spot and even a visit from a few fireflies one night as we sat outside was a magical experience! The staff are fantastic as are the tour guides. We had a sunset cruise, jungle trekking (with an ex-poacher who now uses his skills guiding tourists) and a visit to the small village on the island across the river with one of the staff who lives there, to see village life up close. We had a wonderful stay at Tugu, Bali whose mission is to bring back to life the art, soul and romance of Indonesia and it certainly does. It was by far my favourite hotel on the island. There are so many wonderful historical artefacts on the property, we really enjoyed wondering the hotel to look at them and learn about some of Bali's history. The hotel’s theatrically large entrance lobby creates an impression of grandeur. While there are plenty of unique areas to enjoy a romantic breakfast/lunch/dinner. What I loved about Tugu was the friendly staff and the attention to detail. Staying true to the romance element, when our room was turned down, beautiful poems were left by the bed with an array of fresh local flowers. The bath in our suite was incredible and the flower petals added to the ambiance. We absolutely loved this hotel! Luxury without being commercialized. It was a splurge for us but worth every penny! We stayed in a Dedari Suite and it was amazing- huge, comfortable, beautifully decorated, full of charm, and the bathroom- what a dream! Outdoor shower/bath with fish swimming in koi pond. The private plunge pool was great! The location of the hotel can't be beat- one of the few actually on the beach in Canggu. We were able to walk out our door and surf at 2 great breaks (Old Man's and Batu Balong). The staff and service were top notch- anything you wanted and more! Special thank you to Putu, who went above and beyond to ensure our happiness. Next time I am in Bali I will definitely stay here again!Tugu Lombok: "Outstanding and unique!"
We recently enjoyed a three day stay in a Bhagavat Gita suite (107) filled with antiques, artwork and the biggest most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! The service was impeccable and the food wonderful. Make sure you have a beach dinner one night - just magic. The outdoor shower is also amazing! "You will feel like you have entered a different world altogether when you arrive at Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge. Firstly, you are treated to the most amazing views, which you never tire of even after spending days in Nepal. The Annapurna range in all its glory can be truly appreciate from the lodge, and you are not to miss the stunning picture opportunity of the mountain reflection on the infinity pool. The lodge itself is very comfortable and relaxing, you can do as much or as little as you like. The staff are incredibly attentive - each and every one of them. Marcus, the resort MD is so warm and friendly and so knowledgeable when it comes to Nepal, and most other things that it makes for a very wonderful stay all around.
