Satri House: "Amazing Stay"

Review by: Shar Mayn O | Source: Trip Advisor
"Recently stayed here with my girlfriends and we were blown away from the moment we walked in to Satri House until the moment we left. Although the property is located 15-20mins walk from town/night market, they do provide complimentary bicycles for guests to explore the quaint town. It is also safe to walk and wander the streets til late as well. Everyone we met never failed to greet us warmly and smile including Giovanni himself. The team members would always try their best to engage in a conversation whenever possible without intruding our privacy. Service here is top notch and it truly exceeded my expectations especially coming from the hotel industry itself. Thank you for the wonderful birthday surprise at the pool by the team. It definitely caught the birthday girl off guard :) Kudos to the team!"

Slow Villas and Spa: "Absolute wonderland"

Review by: gilimexicankitchen | Source: Trip Advisor
"We checked-in to the Slow Villas for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4 nights, were lucky our villa had availability as they seem to be fully booked most of the time. My fiancee and I fall short of words to describe our content. Our Slow Villa stay has provided us with an utmost quiet mind to relax and to work (we had a lot of work to do which needed top focus). Our villa had a huge garden perhaps 250m2 and all the comfort and amenities we needed. We took a break off the villa only to get massages and facials at the beautiful Slow Spa, moments of total bliss! The staff were all extremely polite, kind and thoughtful at all times and it was great to be greeted even at 2 am in the morning to get a water refill, knowing there's 24 hours staff and attention which is rare (probably unique) in Gili Air. The detailed guide book which has been put together, available at the villa came also very handy for information, food options and activities on the island. Finally, our super comfy bed and goose feather pillows (never seen in any other luxurious hotel in Indonesia) made it very hard to get out of the bed but the delicious breakfast options delivered to our villa were very convincing to take a step away from the bed:)) We can not recommend this place enough. Many thanks!"

Slow Villas and Spa: "So well thought"

Review by: Mads P | Source: Trip Advsor
"This place is extraordinary. We stayed for 4 nights. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and an almost 5 yr and an almost 2 yr old. We stayed in the 1 room villa with a baby cod. The almost 5 yr old slept in the big bed with us. Not ideal but it was ok. Slow did offer a separate additional bed for the 5 yr old but it would have taken up quite some space, leaving almost none left. We would go back anytime and even stay as we did of that is the only option. Indoor outdoor melts together when sliding up the 3 big glass doors facing the pool. The garden is big and leaves you with the impression that it could have been smaller without reducing your feeling of it being spacious. The bath room is outdoors. Nicely build and designed as the rest."

Cuca: "WOW"

Review by: Oh_Sweet_Life | Source: Trip Advisor
"Place Located in Jimbaran. A very secluded area as most of the driver is not familiar of the small road. Ambiance Perfect! They have 3 types of seating area: Dining Room, Bar and Garden. If you want to see the art creation of your food, i suggest you seat at the Bar area as that's where you can see what Chef does! Like 'live show'. Garden seating has a good ambiance but we didn't seat outside because of mosquito (that's just me). Dining room has a semi private arrangement as each table has curtains in between other tables which is a great idea! It has a very homey-cozy feeling! Service They have more than enough staff to assist you. They serve with smile and very warmth. You can feel that they are proud of their work and that they enjoy it! Food Here comes the bomb! We ordered the Chef's Tasting Menu and it's soooo worth it! The creativity and intricate workmanship is WOW! From presentation to food taste is just the best! My fave was the number 3, Fish! (It's in the photo - looks like a flower). The food that excites me the most was the dessert called Bali Breakfast (in photo- looks like egg)! It's something you MUST order! The coconut and mango flavor with the crusty (granola i think) is perfectly combined into an amazing dessert! This place has thought of everything from the start to the end of your dining experience. They'll give you something to start of to enhance your palette and a drink at the end for digestion...just WOW! It's one side of Bali you've never experienced before and it's really worth every $$$ and time. Definitely highly recommended to visit and try when in Bali. Not recommended for family with kids. I'll be back to try the other dish on my next Bali Trip!"

Maison Polanka: "Ideal base in Siem Reap"

Review by: ozkong | Source: Trip Advisor
"To us, Maison Polanka is the ideal type of place to stay. With only a maximum of 10 guests in luxuriant grounds of 6000 sq m, it provides a tranquil oasis to rest after the jostle of Angor Wat. This creates an intimate atmosphere where one gets the chance to interact with both staff & other guests. The Sala next to the pool is a very pleasant place to have a quiet dinner. Both dinners we had there and also the breakfasts were excellent. We went out to the nearby Marun Restaurant (where marginalized kids are trained to work in hospitality) because we wanted to support the cause."

tugu malang: "We loved this gem of a hotel"

Review by: MunichEricJ | Source: tripadvisor.com
"The hotel is stunning in its beauty. Really one of the most attractive- on- the- inside hotels I have ever been in, with light, rock, water, plantings and museum- quality antiques and artistic pieces which bring the history and culture of Java to life. There are non- Java items too, among them a 3,200 year- old Shang Dynasty sculpture. After a very friendly check- in (there is nothing like an Indonesian smile), we were shown to room 222, a large room with a four- post bed adorned with beautiful wood carvings. There was an in- room safe, mini- fridge with Bintang beers and a large work desk with convenient desk- height power outlets. The room was rich with teak wood and the wood floors were nice underfoot. If you don’t like going barefoot they provide nice batik slippers. Plenty of closet / hanger space and room for luggage too, much appreciated. The room was very quiet, except when the day- long procession of banner- waving motor scooters celebrating the local Arema football heroes went constantly past the hotel! It was great fun watching the procession from the coffee house and sipping on Bintangs. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower room. The toilet had a built- in bidet feature, not exactly like the Toto Washlet you might be familiar with-- this was rather a simple affair with a curved water tube and a manual faucet handle on the side. It worked just fine. There is also a small hands- washing sink there. The shower / tub was huge, round, and of hammered metal. You could fit more than two adults in the tub (if you wished.) The sink was also hammered metal and had a ringing sound as the water dribbled in, very nice. The bedding was very comfortable and we slept soundly. The breakfast menu featured American, Indonesian, Chinese, Malang Street Food, Healthy and “Romantic” options. I enjoyed the fried egg covered with melted cheese on top of ham / croissant. The oatmeal included fresh fruit and crispy coconut on top, delicious. The coffee comes from their own Java coffee plantation. Service was great. The restaurant was excellent. It was beautiful, with indoor / outdoor seating and separated from the pool by plants. The menu was extensive: 170 regular food items – not counting drinks - plus a special menu with another 12 or so items. Indonesian, Dutch, Italian, Malang Street Food, Chinese, sandwiches, salads, Aussie and local steaks, from Wagyu to basic. Our food was excellent. The restaurant is open 24 hours, so when we needed to have breakfast at 05:30 on our departure day, there was no issue at all. All the early Mt. Bromo hikers can fill up before the climb. The location is very good, a short 450m from the train station (you can take the Malioboro Express from Jogja in comfort), 320m from the Bird Market / Flower Market and 1.4km from the very impressive and beautiful boulevard of Dutch Colonial houses (and many nice ones leading up to it. Malang is at 450m altitude and situated between mountains gets nice breezes channeled through which are cooler and less humid than central Java. We took a hotel- sponsored bike tour. It was on a Sunday, and they close many of the most attractive boulevards to auto traffic, so we had a very pleasant ride through parts of Malang we would never have made it to on our own. The beautiful Dutch Colonial homes were something to see, nestled amongst palm trees and lush plantings. Our tour guide, Sigit, made sure that we were safe at all times (no small thing in Indo city traffic!) and knew the area very well. The bikes were in good condition and they had loaner helmets. The hotel has my highest recommendation."

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Amazig"

Review by: bex67 | Source: Trip Advisor
Absolute heaven on earth. Beautiful location and the staff are all wonderful. You completely relax here. It is definitely one of the most unique places I have ever stayed. The tents are really comfortable with everything you could want. The trip to the Tatai Waterfall was a particular highlight. We also did the 7.00 am trek - although we didn't see any wildlife, it was still very enjoyable and the boat ride back to the Lodge was really beautiful.

Sea Dance Resort: "Unforgetable Holiday"

Review by: Natcha D | Source: Trip Advisor
"I have to say that Sea Dance is one of the best hotel resorts I have been to! I enjoyed every moment I was there with their warm hospitality from Poy, Faith, Helen and the rest of the team! For those who love to have your privacy in terms of the beach itself, I would recommend the Sea Dance Resort! Trust me, you would never forget about it. Moreover, I was impressed by the Thai staff, Khun Pa, from the Sea Bass restaurant as l left my reading glasses behind and went to search for them but couldn't find them. She then followed up my request promptly and brought them back for me at the villa. Another lady was Khun Toy, the head chef, who always attended my spacial meal's requests and made sure that I would satisfy with those meals throughout my stay. How lucky The Sea Dance to have the thoughtful & caring staff like them. Last but not least, my favourite part was the live music which was performed by Gustavo and his friend, Niko! What a memorable experience ever! Keep up your wonderful work, Poy and your team! I'll be back again soon. Thank you very much for your uniqueness and professional service!"

Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "Lovely relaxing cruise on the river"

Review by: A TripAdvisor Member | Source: Trip Advisor
I have done the Shangri La cruise, a cruise on one of the big party boats and this Supanigga cruise, I have to say this was the nicest with by far the most authentic Thai food. The staff who served us were charming and discreet and one did not feel ripped off as people have mentioned on other cruises. There was a free flow of bottled water and the drinks were not overly expensive. I would not recommend this cruise for young kids but for a romantic evening for a couple or an adult family or friends group it isn’t ideal. A nice touch was the crew singing happy birthday to my brother and a lady at the next table with a candle stuck into the mango sticky rice dessert. I thought this was far better than serving a cake for a birthday meal as usually one is too full to eat the cake anyway. Overall a big thumbs up to this cruise
