Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "Only one word: OUTSTANDING! A 5-star experience in Myanmar"
"After our trekking trip from Kalaw to Inle, we desperately needed some comfort, nice food and a good night sleep....and we couldn't have asked for more during our stay at Inle Heritage! This was - by far - the best hotel we have stayed in during our 2-week trip in Myanmar. The rooms are spacious and furnished with great taste and top standards, the view on the lake is stunning. There are only 6 rooms in the complex and the staff is extremely lovely and super-attentive. Importantly...the food is absolutely STUNNING: we had 2 dinners and breakfasts during our stay and everything we ordered was outstanding - I don't think you can find a restaurant with such high quality anywhere else in the country. Vegetables are taken directly from several lovely gardens cultivated by the staff and you can really feel the freshness of every ingredient. There are several other ""luxury"" accommodations on the lake, but none of them offers such a high level of hospitality and food - combined. We would choose Inle Heritage again and again!!! Yes, while in the room, you can hear the noise of boats passing by, but this didn't disturb us at all and the noise significantly decreases after 8-9pm in the evening. The hotel also offers complementary ear plugs so we could sleep like babies during both our nights. Last but not least, Inle Heritage is a non-profit organisation that looks after the cultural and natural heritage of the Inle Region, aiming at developing tourism while maintaining the original Burmese culture and way of life, and respecting nature. Given how quickly the lake is developing (with both pros and cons...) we were very happy to stay in a place that is run in a sustainable way and under these grate values. Don't miss it!!! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple"Supanniga Luxury Bangkok River Cruises: "A beautiful birthday celebration"
I celebrated my birthday with my husband onboard the suppaniga cruise :) the food is exceptional, the staff were attentive to your needs, and the whole experience gives you blissful serenity. Indeed, a perfect way to celebrate my birthday and end our 5-day thailand vacation.Villa Song Saigon: "The Best Place To Stay!!!"
We stayed at Villa Song in an Art Suite for 7 nights in October. It could not have been a better ending to a 22 night vacation. As mentioned numerous times, the location is peaceful, yet with the complimentary boat shuttle, district 1 is a mere 12-15 minute ride away (also a free sightseeing trip). It is newly renovated and has only 23 very tastefully decorated rooms/suites. if you want the chaos and pollution of HCMC at your front door, I wouldn't suggest here. If its elegance, beauty, and genuine heartfelt service, this is the place. Breakfast is anytime and the choices are many. You will not go away hungry. As for dinner choices, the menu is quite large. We seldom eat at our hotel, generally due to quality and overcharging, but ate dinner here 6 nights. We tried every section of the menu. (Asian, western, seafood, salad, noodles, soup...etc.) It was all amazing, and for an extremely very reasonable price. Please do not overlook dining here. We had the opportunity to meet the chef, he is somewhat new to this hotel but has a good deal of experience. He is a young Vietnamese gentleman who is very proud and devoted to his food. All and all, this place is a real gem. The staff are amazing and take great pride in everything that they do. Serene location, Saigon River view, cheap and easy access to district 1, awesome food, and a staff that any hotel would envy...can't beat it!The Cabochon Hotel: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
"Amazing! The decor and building have so much character. The staff was extremely attentive. This was a relaxing retreat in the middle of bustling Bangkok. Breakfast was incredible and something we looked forward to each day. Convenient location near a BTS stop. Would highly recommend. "Manukan Island Resort: "Really worth the price and best ever for manukau island!"
We booked a hillside villa and the view is amazing! It’s nearer to the resorts private beach and far from the public beach which has a lot of tourists during daytime. The hillside villa is a cozy and clean and tidy bungalow. The only thing I wouldn’t like much in the island I think is the sunset point, which we walked for approx. 1/2 hour but just couldn’t see the sunset as the sun was covered by the cloud! And I have forgotten to bring the torch light so we have to walk in the dark in the forest trail! Other than that everything is so perfect and terrific! I give it a five star!Manda De Laos: "Excellent"
"You should make reservations to get a table right next to the Lilly pond. The romantic feelings you get is fantastic and matches the excellent food and service. We had 2 main course buffalo dinners. The one that impressed us is the buffalo steak, more than the stir fried version. Meat was tender and tasty and a good reason to come back to Manda de Laos. Service is impeccable and prices seem reasonable."Maduzi Hotel: "Boutique elegance off Sukhumvit"
The hotel is small, at just 40 rooms and is situated on a triangular corner site beside Soi 16, hence the unusual layout of some rooms. It is packed with interesting objets d'art. When I arrived, I was upgraded to a corner suite, which was just delightful. The bed was an enormous California king, I had a big desk and chair, armchair, breakfast table and 2 chairs, plus a huge ensuite with shower and jacuzzi bath. The toilet was separate and there was even a luggage room on its own. All decorated with understated stylish panache. Also in the room was an espresso maker, CD player and a free minibar of soft drinks and some snacks. Breakfast was served in the downstairs restaurant. While individual dishes were interesting, with a European influence, I must say I was disappointed by the portion size. I would have preferred a buffet, but maybe that is not an economic option in a hotel that size. It is 5 minutes easy walk to Asok station on the BTS. Staff service was friendly and individualistic. Would definitely like to revisit.JL Studio: "Artistic cuisine"
Each dish wobble plate, decoration, flavors, both with artistic, aesthetic and both the color, flavor and taste of the food, service personnel and then by commentary and explain the story, so every food, moving and full of praise. JL plus uphold let everything that can make people eat meals together have different levels of taste and delicious food will make people more reluctant to swallow stomach, but slowly and enjoy the taste of which different feelings, well worth to experience and enjoy the incomparable honorNoel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Such a great addition to our honeymoon"
What an amazing experience, and so great to see that everywhere we turned, the camp was working to conserve the environment. Whether it be the tents surrounded by trees or the supply of clean drinking water into glass bottles, it is visible to see that Noel, Cecile and the team are really working alongside our environment, not against it. We were able to see all animals, except the sloth bear (which we didn't mind missing out on, due to their elusive nature), and only participated in 3 of the 4 game drives (due to wanting quiet time during our honeymoon). The staff are amazingly helpful and courteous and knowledgeable, and will even run to your rescue at midnight if you hear something in the bushes as there's mobile phones provided for anything of the like. The traditional food is nothing short of AMAZING! My husband is the fussiest eater and was a tad worried beforehand to say the least, but enjoyed almost everything put in front of him and not once went hungry (quite the opposite!). The honeymoon tent was a little out of our budget, so we chose to stay in the 'normal' couple tent, however were definitely not disappointed. I'm definitely going to have trouble getting my husband to come 'normal' camping again! It's very comfortable, spacious and 'glamorous' for bush standards! And perhaps the coolest part was meeting so many incredible people from around the world who were there too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As you can see - highly recommend for anyone visiting Sri Lanka :)The Cabochon Hotel: "Great central Bangkok hotel"
Small and secluded, this boutique hotel was a lucky find. Situated in a lovely area of Bangkok, the hotel has beautifully decorated rooms and a fantastic rooftop pool (see photos) Staff go out of their way to assist. Reasonably priced.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
