Tugu Malang: "I didn’t stay here but had 1 lunch, 1 dinner, and the hotel tour with Ibu Poppy"

Review by: bankergirl1016 | Source: Trip Advisor
"If there's one regret I had in my Malang trip is NOT booking this hotel. It is Super amazing. You see, I've travelled in Indonesia extensively for work and play and one of my woes is the lack of seamless service beyond Bali. Well, Hotel Tugu Malang meets superb global standards and more. The minute I stepped in (flabbergasted from the icky Rumah Makn Inggil) I was warmly welcomed by Ibu Poppy. Even if I wasn't staying she warmly invited me in to the lunch area. I took photos around the beautiful hotel and she volunteered to give me a tour of the hotel and tea after! Everyone speaks impeccable English. Food arrives fast. Yes this is a big deal in Indonesia!!!! If you have been here Long enough you'll understand my delight. Thank you so much for everyone's warm hospitality, the reasonably priced yummy meals, the free tour and tea. Malang is not easy to get to from where I live, but if I go back to Malang - it's Tugu Malang or nothing!"

Locavore: "Gastronomic aerobatics and spot international level"

Review by: philip_ru | Source: Trip Advisor
We saw that the schedule of booking tables in Manhattan traditions is full for a couple of weeks ahead. So we tried with a pounce, straight from a tropical rainfall to get to lunch. Day to day it did not work, but we found out about their sister cafe around the corner in the next street and signed up for tomorrow. For lunch too ceremoniously and formally (dishes, not the atmosphere - that's quite a casual one, we met Americans, saddened by Trump at a nearby table), but for a memorable evening, that's it. It offers two sets - large and small. For 5 and 7 meals. And there are options for veggie. The surprise was that to five dishes there are five apetizers and about the same number of digestives. Extremely authored and fantasy, small and incredibly tasty. Yes, another point is that it is necessary to arrive at the appointed time, as all tables are served by simultaneous courses. And the whole ceremony thus stretches for 2-2.5 hours) At this time, you seem to disappear from the noisy colorful streets of Ubud in the mirror world of real flowers and shades of pistachio. Smiles and conditioner. Wow

Cuca: "One of the few favourite restaurant in Bali for me"

Review by: Faroze S | Source: Trip Advisor
Was wondering where to eat in Bali, i know there are so many sorts of restaurants everywhere and some a just a letdown....so wife recommended why don't we try Cuca, since some of her friends said good things about it. Since we are staying in Uluwatu, so it was not that far for us to get over there. We arrived slightly over 2pm and the restaurant was empty, i asked my wife are you sure this place is good? We were greeted and showed to our table...each table is separated by a curtain for privacy, so we decided to choose the table closest to the full view of the kitchen. Everyone was busy, apparently there is a close event that night. So we were the only guest. Our waitress was this pleasant looking girl that was very attentive and took time to explain the menu. We decided to try the tasting menu, i think was about 7 sharing courses. I won't go through the menu, you have to come and try it out for yourself...my only verdict is "One of the few favourite restaurant in Bali for us"

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Best Meal – Must Eat Here"

Review by: sg199006 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Spectacular experience! Food, setting, service - all were perfect. The chef really draws on Cambodian flavors and seasonal fruit and vegetables, and combines them in an impeccably thought-out menu. The fish and seafood dishes were particularly delicious - although we loved everything we ate. You could easily pay three or four times the price for this standard of menu in the US. I cannot recommend Cuisine Wat Damnak highly enough. They were very accommodating of my pescatarian diet. And it was such a charming and relaxed dining experience. Ps. Opt for the fan seating rather than the A/C as the fan seating is in the more charming upstairs of the restaurant. Make reservations at least a few weeks in advance. I would also recommend the tamarind collins if you would like a cocktail with dinner."

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "The boutique resort in Samui"

Review by: thaiminhson | Source: Trip Advisor
"The small and best resort in Samui. First of all, they offered me free upgrade to pool villa beach front which was the best view. Second, staff was very helpfully and warmly, one of them support me to called with a agent tour who miss pick up me. Finally, I am feel like stayed at home when they treat me as well as possible Love this resort, peaceful place, nice beach and services was good Stayed January 2017, traveled solo"

Cuca: "Tasty gastronomical food with okay price"

Review by: Ciantury O | Source: Trip Advisor
The place is super nice. This restaurant has enormous outdoor space that kids can play after or before they eat. The staff is also kid friendly and very polite. food wise, it tasted great. We tried the mushroom, fried chicken, soft shell crab and the fried chicken. All of them are tasty. The portion of the appetizer is small but for the chicken and soft shell crab, the size is a normal size portion, not tapas portion.

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Amazing!"

Review by: Riss2013 | Source: Trip Advisor
I've travelled a lot and this is one of THE best places I've ever stayed. It's truly beautiful and the staff are so friendly and helpful, and particularly Brian. We stayed in the bamboo hut, it's stunning and romantic. The grounds are peaceful and tranquil and are a little piece of paradise. They have gorgeous dogs that make you feel at home. A couple of downsides was we found the food a little repetitive so opted to eat out in the evening and you are a 30 min drive to Moalboal. However it's totally worth the effort, we were diving every day so we went in each day and the driver was reliable and on time and it was cost effective. I love this place and will be back. Highly recommend

Sea Dance Resort: "A gem of a hotel"

Review by: ben d | Source: Trip Advisor
Beautiful quiet resort not far from the liveliness of Chaweng. A very personal service from the best staff ever, who used our first names. Great breakfast & fabulous food, especially the set menu on Weds.

Kinabalu Park: "Charming"

Review by: khuzaimi2015 | Source: Trip Advisor
It was still cool but not as cool compared to a few years ago. The view near the foot of the Mount Kinabalu was nothing short of spectacular. There is a little gift shop that double as a little convenient store. Locals have to pay RM3 as an entrance fee.

Talabgaon Castle: "Treated like royalty in a royal palace"

Review by: Tony S | Source: Trip Advisor
"The first thing to say about reviewing Talabgaon Castle is that in order to differentiate these 5 stars from any earlier 5 star reviews, I should probably go back to the others and knock them down to 4 stars ... its just that good. The setting, the staff, the food, the amenities, the service ... all were top notch. We (as a couple) spent two nights here in January 2016. The staff were awaiting our arrival, and cool drinks and towels provided after the couple of hours drive from Agra (it is closer to Jaipur but we were going the other direction). Our bags were taken swiftly to our opulent room on the ground floor, and soon we were eating our first meal. This being the 6th day of our first trip to India, staying generally in upper market accommodation, we have become accustomed to good Indian food - but this took it to the next level. Flavours literally bursting. (...) For our final morning, the hotel staff set our breakfast table out in the courtyard of the gardens. In a nutshell - if you're able to stop over here ... even if its a little out of the way ... then do so. You will I am sure be as surprised, impressed and amazed as we were."
