KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "A great place to stay at Koh Samui"
"I and my partner spent five days at Khwan Beach Resort and our experience was nothing but fantastic. This is a small resort run by competent, kind and diligent people (Gaelle, Nittaya, Sai and Margot) who will make everything to fulfil yur wishes. Located literally at a two minute walk away from Mae Nam beach, it is a wonderful place to enjoy a relaxed holidays, surrounded by nature, nice villas each with its own private swimming pool, and (walking distance) close to restaurants, convenient stores, fresh fruit markets, etc. I will definitely return to this place. Mind you however that the resort has just initiated construction works for a restaurant which may cause some inconvenience during the day. Therefore, if you are planning to stay there, contact one of the managers (Gael or Margot) for more details "The Cabochon Hotel: "Excellent"
Love this hotel. I had My Valentine at this hotel. Great service , friendly staff. Big swimming pool, Very intimitet place. Travel back to 1920 en enjoy. When You walk away from the hotel youre back in the crazy city Bamgkok .David’s Kitchen: "If there were more places like this in the world"
"I wish I could explain the ambience of this restaurant without you experiencing it first hand. I know I can't do it justice with words alone, but for the purpose of the review I'll try: ""crisp table cloths, meet the friendly, wonderful and chatty waiting staff to create a pristine yet comfortable place to enjoy a great meal."" I started with the scallops and I wasn't disappointed. Perfectly cooked and presented, with a wonderful Sauvignon to compliment. For main course I had the steak which was again perfectly cooked and served with some great sides. At this point I was lucky enough to have a chat with the owner, a wonderful man with a great story about how him and his wife created this special place. He explained the dessert menu and I was drawn to the soufflé, given it was accompanied by Prom's home made ice cream it seemed the logical choice. And it was beautiful. If you're looking for fine dining a with a wonderful heart, give this place a try when you're in Chang Mai"Tugu Bali: "Amazing hotel in the center of Canggu"
My husband and I were charmed by Tugu property. The lobby is magnificent and the lotus pond stunning. Our room was decorated with lots of flowers. We had a good glass of wine on our first night with a Nasi Campur. We highly recommend this hotel! We will come back!Supanniga Eating Room: "Tasty"
The food that we ordered all good and tasty. The green curry is delicious and the pork meat also tender and excellent. The place is small and tend to be crowded but i think that common as many people also read good review of this place. The place is close to our stay in Somerset and easy to find.Samanea Beach Resort: "Great place"
The pier is the star attraction, best place in Kep to experience sunset and because of the small amount of rooms available the resort is never crowded, there are always available beds around the pool. All in all affording a feeling of exclusivity rarely experienced at larger resorts.Tugu Bali: "So good I don’t want anyone else to know about it!"
"Had my 10th Anniversary there and it was utterly magical. The staff looked after us so well, they made every effort to make sure that we had the best experience and it worked! Food was delicious, rooms were stunning and the view was incredible. They couldn't control the weather unfortunately so our rooftop sunset meal was just a rooftop meal but the setting was so glorious it didn't matter. I will never forget my time there and look forward to many more <3"Yandabo Home: "wonderful facility"
Located along the river we were lucky only d.etre overnight. Serenities a bubble in the middle of nowhere. The bungalow is new, spacious beautifully decorated with a large bathroom. The staff is on hand to make this place unique. The restaurant is very good with traditional cuisine. Breakfast is served at the table and croissants come from afar to satisfy customers. Do not miss .Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Charming"
I was there before with friends and then the 2nd time with my hubby as i cant stop talking about it. The 2nd visit was a surprised for me for our annivesary. We have been upraded to old kitchen with private jacuzzi, it was fantastic. And we have an old kitchen stove preserved by unesco in our room, what else can we ask for more. The mansion, believe not need introduction or promotion, the building speaks for itself. The best conservation and well preserved building in Penang and Malaysia...so far...Manukan Island Resort: "Charming villas with great staff"
"We stayed for one night in a beachside villa. Staff encountered were all very friendly and professional. Upon check in we were shown to our room, given a welcome tea and a friendly introduction to the room and facilities on the island. The room itself was so charming - spacious, well laid out, clean and very comfortable all round with beach towels and thongs provided and a cute little balcony overlooking the beach, it suited the environment perfectly and you really couldn't ask for anything more. We were warned that they switch generators several times a day and as such we may experience power disruptions but this was very minimal. The outside breakfast buffet was okay, we did notice insects crawling over some of the breads. Dinner, although the menu was somewhat limited, was really lovely with tables and fairy lights set up next to the beach complete with three musicians performing songs for every table - very romantic. Most of the many tourists on day trip leave the island by 4pm and after this you can really appreciate and enjoy the environment you are in as during the day it is not as pleasant, crowded and noisy. The walk to Sunset Point was a highlight though the pagoda there doesn't offer the best view - continue down the small path to the rocks, very serene. We had an earlyish flight to catch on the day of our departure and the staff were happy to ensure an early boat back to KK was made available to us. We were offered a friendly farewell and as we boarded our boat and were about to depart, a staff member ran out to return a power cable we had accidentally left behind in our room which was much appreciated. If you are planning on visiting Manukan Island we would recommend staying at this resort - very enjoyable and well managed and you are able to experience the island without the daily crowds."Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
