Manukan Island Resort: "Wunderbar"
"Die Übernachtungen in der Hill Villa 12 waren wunderbar. Sehr gepflegte luxuriöse Appartments. Großzügige Raumgestaltung, wunderbare Aussicht, Top Personal!!!! Terrasse, Patio und Balkon mit Meerblick über Palmen und den sehr gepflegten Privatstrand. Das Personal erfüllt das Begehr des Kunden noch bevor der Kunde das Begehr begehrt:-) Jederzeit gerne wieder! Ein Traum!!"Amata Lanna: "Best place to stay in Chiang Mai"
We loved this hotel!!! We booked it because it looked "Thai" in it's decoration etc. It did not disappoint! It is on a quieter street, but still so close to the night market and good restaurants. The pool is smaller, but located inside the hotel's peaceful courtyard. The staff were so kind and attentive. Honestly, this is such a great hotel. I would book immediately if you can. It is smaller, so I'm guessing as word gets out how wonderful it is, that it will sell out fast. Take my advice and stay here when you are in Chiang Mai!!Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Terrific food and lovely service"
"Cuisine Wat Damnak came highly recommended by friends and it truly didn't disappoint! We were fortunate to be warmly greeted by the proprietor chef, Joannès Rivière; a super nice man - and fantastic chef! We had the 6 course tasting menu (there were 2 options) we were able to mix choices from one menu with the other. All dishes, including the amuse bouche, were a great combination of flavours and textures, unquestionably Cambodian in origin but with some subtle execution. Wine list was good and Joannès made a great recommendation of a William Fevre Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy - highly unusual but a great match to the food. All dishes were top-notch but the Mekong langoustine grilled in cassava leaves were stand out as was the desert; Mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly with vanilla and white chocolate cream! Unbelievably great value at US$31 for the 6 course tasting menu, and total bill including the wine and water came to less than $110 , not including optional tip/service. I think a visit to Siem Reap without dining here would be as incomprehensible as coming and not visiting Angkor Wat!"Satri House: "Amazing"
Perfect boutique hotel, where style matches fantastic services: it’s like living in a beautiful house, furnished and decorated with amazing taste. Restaurant is worth both breakfasts and dinners: this is a must-stay hereAmata Lanna: "Amati Lana Chang Mai"
Very relaxing nothing is too much friendly staff home from home kinda place excellent like an oasis in the bustling town which has a real regular night and day marketsRoom are very comfortable and spacious with double bath and copious amounts of Teak wood which the place a touch of classMie Cafe: "Fantastic Khmer fusion!"
Don't be fooled by the name, it isn't really a café but a nice restaurant that serves really good Khmer fusion cuisine. Having been to a similar restaurant the night before for dinner, I was extremely surprised that the food here was much better. The fish risotto was excellent and I have to say, the ONLY risotto I've had that was of similar standard was in Gruyeres, Switzerland. I also enjoyed the Khmer curry and the frozen lime pie. Service was also very good. Will definitely be back if I return to Siem Reap!Tugu Malang: "An incredible night in a lively museum"
"The TUGU Malang is a unique place on earth, being both a magnificent museum and an ultra-comfortable hotel with a pool. You will be flabbergasted by the magnificence of the place: antiques, artefacts, wooden doors, Bali temples...all inside the hotel. Take to your time to wander and step back in time. The food is delicious and the breakfast amazingly rich of flavours. The location is very central, the service is of high-standard. The only weaknesses of the place would be some rooms facing a wall (but the hotel kindly moved us to a pool view), and the busy and noisy traffic circle outside (ask for a room not facing the traffic circle)."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Unique, peaceful and beautiful"
"Sanak is an oasis of peace, off the beaten track, between rice fields, with cooler temperatures than the rest of Bali but actually perfect and hot just a bit less humid and not boiling hot. The view over rice fields is amazing, we stayed in a bungalow - very comfortable and stylish. Good food, organic, catering for people with any special diet. No plastic or coca-cola, I loved it, lots of fresh herbal teas, great for people who are environmentally conscious, like nature and want to stay away from the crowds. Amazing massage, the best we had in Bali, especially the milder version of the Balinese massage was great. I recommend also a walk to the waterfalls, although the local guide was fussing over me as if I was to fall down from each bigger stone :) It was worth a little walk and there were no one else there. It was still raining at the time we were there (end of raining season) but mornings were sunny and good for activities. It looks beautiful in any weather here. Sanak supports preserving the local area and gives work to people in the village, I just love what they stand for. This is the best combination I have seen of eco-tourism and luxury. We will come back."Reverie Siam Pai: "Best hotel in Pai"
This place is clearly a cut above the other options in Pai. You have all the creature comforts of a boutique resort hotel with an excellent restaurant, all within a short walk or golf cart ride to the Pai night market and other draws. Enjoy this wonderful backpacker town while also coming home to a comfortable bed and peace and quiet!Tugu Bali: "Amazing Experience. I love the TUGU!"
"I had a wonderful time during my short stay last week at Tugu Bali. When I return to, I'll certainly be staying again, and this time longer. Tugu Bali a beautiful and authentic hotel with a wonderful staff. I was traveling alone on this trip and I was truly sad my wife didn't get to experience this special hotel with me. From amazing breakfast to even better sunsets, if you're headed to Canggu Bali you want to go here. The experience was truly exceptional and one I will take with me forever... or at least until I return to Tugu."
