Sea Dance Resort: "Good for families. Good service."

Review by: moshiko77 | Source: Trip Advisor
Had a great time. Not at the busy area. So very relexing. Frendly staff. A taxi to chaweng is 300 bhat anb takes 15 minuts. Buy all the transport from the rentals at the exit to the left. Very honest family. Wi fi doesnt work when cloudy.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Perfect for relaxing break"

Review by: JAS n SUE W | Source: tripadvisor.com
Stayed two nights at the floating lodge 25-27th August. The staff are very helpful and the tents are luxurious. There is nothing better than to wake up in the morning to the sunshine and the river just outside. Great after the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh.

Tugu Bali: "4 day get away"

Review by: Lonely_Thinker | Source: Trip Advisor
Very surprising when approached from the road- one would not expect the interior or reception that you are greeted with - the antiques / pictures / statues dotted around are quite fascinating - the staff are more than willing to enlighten you on the history and ethos of the owner.

Villa Song Saigon: "Loved it"

Review by: joudranwebb | Source: Trip Advisor
"Wow! We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Song and we enjoyed every minute of it. Villa Song is a boutique hotel with nice garden, lovely pool and a small gym. The hotel has great location on Saigon River away from the bustle of the city center. The boat service to town makes things much easier. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant is right on the riverand the food was excellent, breakfast was included and could be had any time during the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Some people’s idea of heaven"

Review by: mznw3 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We got ill on our way to this hotel so we weren't in good shape when we arrived, and we spent our two nights here recovering. It was a great place to do this - the room was beautiful and enormously comfortable and it was all very peaceful and quiet. The staff were very kind and attentive and we are very grateful to them. This is the kind of place that many (British) people would think was heaven - on the sea, very quiet, a little bubble of perfect bliss - a kind of honeymoon place. If this is what you like, the place should have six stars. But we aren't so fond of that kind of place - we prefer staying in places with domestic as well as foreign tourists and which are a little bit more lively. In summary, the property promises peace and quiet and that's what it delivers in spades - it's our problem and not the hotel's that it's not entirely our thing. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Terrific food and lovely service"

Review by: Stuart F | Source: Trip Advisor
"Cuisine Wat Damnak came highly recommended by friends and it truly didn't disappoint! We were fortunate to be warmly greeted by the proprietor chef, Joannès Rivière; a super nice man - and fantastic chef! We had the 6 course tasting menu (there were 2 options) we were able to mix choices from one menu with the other. All dishes, including the amuse bouche, were a great combination of flavours and textures, unquestionably Cambodian in origin but with some subtle execution. Wine list was good and Joannès made a great recommendation of a William Fevre Sauvignon Blanc from Burgundy - highly unusual but a great match to the food. All dishes were top-notch but the Mekong langoustine grilled in cassava leaves were stand out as was the desert; Mango cashew nut crumble, green mango jelly with vanilla and white chocolate cream! Unbelievably great value at US$31 for the 6 course tasting menu, and total bill including the wine and water came to less than $110 , not including optional tip/service. I think a visit to Siem Reap without dining here would be as incomprehensible as coming and not visiting Angkor Wat!"

Maduzi Hotel: "Excellent service and huge rooms"

Mekong Villas: "Lazing by the Mekong"

Review by: Soph1605 | Source: Trip Advisor
I only stayed 1 night this time around but I really wanted to go back as I was in the area again. Once you enter the gate, you are in a secluded area, although the main road is just behind. The peacefulness that emanates from the grounds forces you to switch off. Not much to do at the property but that's the whole point: listen to nature around you, watch the life on the Mekong and just relax!!

Tugu Lombok: "Tugu to be true…..not in this case"

Review by: Foodi8 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Well esteemed reader I have to say this is an exceptional and unique hotel. This isn't a 5 star in the traditional sense of the more developed regions of the world. The rooms are pretty basic (but massive), the drains can smell and the wifi is unreliable (which his a blessing on holiday!!!). The building is eclectic - bits are approaching 150 years old - and this hotchpotch approach is the real charm of the hotel. It doesn't try to make a statement - it doesn't have to - it just works and create a lovely relaxing environment. The location is amazing. Set on the pretty unspoilt Sire beach with views to the Gili Islands and the volcanos of Lombok beyond it really is an idyllic setting. The staff are lovely and cant do enough to please. The food is good - the Indonesian dishes being especially excellent. For dinner food can be served on tables set up on the beach - this is a must, but needs booking daily. Breakfasts not the high point - but adequate. The gym facilities are essentially non existent - a few broken weights machines, a tiny number of free weights, a few cardio machines - including a non-functioning treadmill - soon to be replaced apparently! The lap pool is great - big thumbs up from the piscatorial Mrs Foodi8 for this. The lack of gym forces you to enjoy a run on the beach - which is magical. A 5 mile run is easy to do along the largely deserted beach. You need to wear trainers though as there are lots of sharp bits of old coral and shells lurking in the sand. I have the feeling in 10 years time Lombok will be much more like Bali - more tourist oriented and developed. So go soon if you are going."

Manda De Laos: "Beautiiful ambience; very good food"

Review by: AndoverDan | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant is outdoors surrounding a pond. The frogs supply background music. The ambience is very pleasant. It is upscale for Luang Prabang and the food is more refined (and tourist friendly) than most places. We enjoyed it very much. It is pricey for Luang Prabang, but not by U.S. standards. Friendly service
