Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Amazing Lombok"
This is our second trip to Tugu Lombok which is very unusual for us as we rarely return to a holiday destination we've previously been so that speaks highly for Tugu. We are avid international travellers and travel on average 4-6 times a year and Tugu holds a special place in our hearts. It's a stunning setting so full of character and charm (unlike many souless 5 star hotels). Its a photographer's dream. The accomodation, food and service is second to none. Though unfortunately I can't remember all the names of the attentive and gracious staff I do want to thank one of the managers Hanny for her wonderful hospitality and impeccable customer service. I can't recommend this hotel enough.Muang La Lodge: "Most charming Xmas Eve ever"
We stayed in this absolutely beautiful small resort for two nights. We were fortunate that we had a short journey, having flown to the nearest town and been picked up by the resort's car and our guide. We thought the location absolutely stunning and the staff even more fabulous. Our trek into the hills on Christmas Eve could not have been better (even down to the picnic lunch we carried with us from the resort) and the Christmas Eve entertainment which ended with us lighting Chinese lanterns was just magic. Thanks to everyone at the resort who made our stay so very special.Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "very delicious"
good location near Silom and BTS by walk 10 minutes delicious food stye modren when I come back to thailand will dinner with my husband in this restaurant very good !Mie Cafe: "most creative young Khmer chef!"
Always pleased to get back to a place I liked... and see quality is consistent, service is even better and the chef still humble and creative. Congrats to Chef Pola and his team!Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Fantastic – book ahead"
"Booked on what I read here and was not disappointed at all. Great options and flavours. Two of us - we had one of the tasting menus each so we could try many dishes. Lots of great things, each dish was well thought out and presented. Well worth a go. Wine list good and priced well. Highly recommended."The Apsara Rive Droite: "Understated comfort in Luang Prabang"
"Upon arrival at The Apsara, we were met by a very welcoming and gracious staff. And in fact, throughout our stay, they attended to all of our needs and were always very nice and friendly. The hotel itself is located just off the main street in Luang Prabang, on the banks of the Khan River. The location is perfect; just of few shorts blocks from the main downtown area and night market, but on a very quiet one-way street. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and very clean, with a colonial feel to them. However one word of warning: make sure you book a top-floor room. Our hardwood floors squeaked when we walked on them and I felt sorry for the guests in the room below ours. We only ate breakfast at the hotel (and it was always delicious), so I cannot comment on the dinners or other meals the hotel offered. Overall, we loved our stay at The Apsara and I would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Luang Prabang. Room Tip: Hardwood floors, make sure you book a top floor room"Supanniga Eating Room: "Tasty Thai Treat"
"Went to Supanniga as within walking distance of our hotel. Nice ambience and super friendly staff. Really nice that they asked us how spicy we wanted the food and they got it spot on for us - we like spice but not Thai hot! We shared pu jah crab - minced pork and crab meat and pla som Tod - fishcakes. Both were lovely, really liked the fact that the fishcakes had texture to them, not spongy. Both dishes were really flavoursome. For main courses, we shared two crab dishes, pricey compared with the rest of the menu - plenty of cheaper options available. Both dishes were lovely, great to share - one with a spicy coconut style curry sauce and the second dish with yellow peppers. We shared some noodles too. No room for dessert - plenty of food. If I had to grumble then the main courses arrived a bit too quick for us but no big deal. We both agreed it was one of the best Thai meals we'd had - not cheap but high quality food served by a really nice bunch of staff. Would return again."Satri House: "Ms Sorana Reichman"
"We were in an organized tour from Asia travel . They recommend us the hotel . The hotel was what we expected and more with big rooms clean not noisy big nice pool. Good breakfast and very good service . It was Giovanni that receive us and gave us explanation and I like very much also to speak with him Italian (one of the beautiful language on my opinion ) You can take tuck tuck to city center or go by foot 10 minutes We highly recommend this hotel for the service the rooms and overall"The Cabochon Hotel: "Quiet and close to everything"
We stayed recently for three nights and had a wonderful stay. This property is just off Sukhumvit Rd but very quiet and peaceful. Beautifully decorated property with eclectic pieces throughout. Our room was small but very elegant, filled with scent of lemongrass when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful linens. Breakfast is served in the library and bar areas at comfy casual sofas. We couldn't go past the pork skewers, sticky rice and spicy sauce. Great coffee and mandarin juice were also really delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They strike just the right balance between providing great service when needed and leaving you to it the rest of the time. We ate at the restaurant with friends on our last night. The food was amazing and we got to try a few new things. All together, a great stayThe Island Lodge: "So glad that we stayed at the hotel, although it was for only one night"
The quality of the service in Vietnam is first class. This is the fifth hotel we have stayed in during our visit and they have all been excellent. The Island Lodge is a bit special. It is the vision of the owner and his wife. You get the feeling that you are staying as a house guest. The only pity for us was that our stay was only for one night. Do have a massage or other treatment. I am sure there is lots to see around the hotel but we just soaked up the atmosphere along with having some great food and a few beers.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
