Amata Lanna: "4 Day Stay at the Beautiful and Quaint Amata Lanna"
This particular hotel is very quaint and absolutely beautiful, with first class touches at every turn. The detail in the decor of 100 year old teak wood everywhere and large carved doors completes the experience. The highly accommodating (and primarily English speaking) staff is wonderful and genuinely care about your experience. They go above and beyond every day-from the delicious homemade Thai breakfast, to the turn-down service, and the general likability of each individual. The area where the hotel is located is in a relatively more quiet part of town yet walking distance to major areas. Truly a one of a kind experience. Cannot recommend enough!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion Logo Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Fabulous!"
We stayed here for 5 nights and the stay was great. The staff were wonderful and the rooms very comfortable. The history is fascinating and the renovation work excellent. We didn’t eat here other than breakfast - we ate at the Red Garden Food Paradise and Night Market which is right next door - so many choices and so inexpensive! The Island Lodge: "Peak into the Mekong Delta While Sitting in Luxury"
This is a special place, sitting in the middle of the river at the end of an island. It is right in the middle of endless groves of Longan and other fruit trees. The breeze from the river keeps you naturally cool as you enjoy some of the freshly baked goods and/or fresh Vietnamese food. Everything about this place was excellent: rooms, facilities, service, food. Just a couple hours from Saigon, this is a great getaway from the city. Plan to go back often.Locavore: "Incredible food experience!"
We went to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary, and it was an incredibly good experience. Everything was perfect, starting with the really nice staff, the place itself and obviously the food. Talking about the latter, we saw people complaining about it, this place is intended to be a really slow food experience, with 7 or 5 main dishes and roughly 10 complementary other small snacks, all together it takes over 3 hours, not for everyone. But the composition of the dishes is simply awesome, recommended for the lover of the good food!Manukan Island Resort: "Paradise"
We booked for one night as a last minute treat during our stay in Borneo. We were overwhelmed by what we got. We originally booked the cheapest double room, but when we arrived and was shown to our room, even though we were before the check in time, we were flabbergasted that we were given a beach villa over looking the private beach and sea. The room was luxurious, the staff were attentive and our over night stay was romantic. The only problem we encountered was the restaurant staff, who forget to bring us our drinks and the food wasn't that great. Over all a fabulous place for that romantic get away. The Apsara Rive Droite: "Highly recommend"
Our family of 4 stayed here for 5 nights in total, 2 and 3 nights on either side of a tour. We loved this hotel. Mr Hann was exceedingly helpful and all the staff were really friendly. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel during our tour. We had very efficient airport transfers. We felt like we were staying in our own private house, it was very peaceful. The pool is a great size. We liked the location on the other side of the river. The little boat is always at the ready to transfer across, which adds to the charm of the hotel. Our room was a great size, with a large balcony overlooking the river. It has all amenities including bath robes and mosquito repellant. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order. We used the hotel bikes a couple of times which was a great way to see the town. I got up early to see the monks seeking alms and was the only tourist watching (from a respectful distance!) as they passed by the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing place to stay"
We spent 4 nights and enjoyed every moments . Our stay included the new year eve night and we were delighted to enjoy the staff entertainments with all staff children. Lovely place and memories. When cold in the room we enjoyed a fire . Food was greatNeeleshwar Hermitage: "Friendly, beautiful and excellent"
"We went in the month of June to this resort. It was monsoon time. whatever people say we love travelling in the monsoon. The beauty of the countryside is seen during this season. The manager of the place we stayed was very friendly on the phone while we checked on availability and proved more so on meeting. Room was lovely a large bedroom with an semi-open bathroom. Eco-friendly place. Food was sea food which was excellent with choice of chicken and mutton. The menu for each day was fixed and had enough variety to satisfy everyone. Swimming pool overlooks the sea and quite beautiful. Our kids enjoyed the pool even when it rained. We could walk out into the private beach though the sea was stormy given the monsoon. The staff was friendly and courteous. The resort is non-smoking but i did catch a fellow guest smoking. Books to read. No liquor other than beer and wine so if you drink carry your booze. All in all a great visit."Locavore: "good ambience. innovatively tasty"
had the vegetarian option. was bowled over by the like of hibiscus flower and forest ferns. Hadnt expected them to be tasty! Also enjoyed the complimentary pre-main-event "appetizers" which filled me!Hotel Tugu Lombok: "Incredible Family Holiday Weekend!"
Hotel Tugu Lombok is a truly special and amazing place. There is something beautiful to see in every direction - from the larger than life statues and antiques that create drama and intrigue to the tiny details like the bathroom toiletries that are in clay pots or the boardgames in the dining area that are all made of wood and natural materials. Not an eye sore to be found. The attention to detail in both service and decor makes for a very luxurious experience. The food is fantastic and the presentation is beautiful. We loved both the Indonesian fare and the western options and the healthy breakfast smoothy bowls were delish. The beach is stunning and steps away from the rooms and from the restaurants. You can paddle board and snorkel right right off the beach or take a trip out a little further and see sea turtles. I can't recommend this place highly enough. You won't be disappointed.
