Tugu Malang: "AMAZING place"

Can't say enough.. this place is heaven on earth... The staff, the food, the rooms, the beds, the mysterious interiour. The restaurant is even open for 24/7. I would recomend everyone to go here. Fantastic

Slow Villas and Spa: "Awesome boutique villa"

We had a great time, 4 nights, centrally located, rented bicycles. The villas are very "boutique" and attention given to small details, what we like about staying boutique. Lovely breakfast, nice tranquil atmosphere, coconut trees, private garden and pool. Good security, friendly atmosphere. Most certainly recommend to friends.

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Enchanting stay"

"The Blue Mansion is a beautiful historic building with so much charm, the room had so many thoughtful touches from under bed lighting and bathroom lighting to a basket to take to the pool. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is the best in Penang and the quality of wine excellent. Breakfast was good and the tour of the property is worth doing. Located in the heritage area of Penang it is on the door step to little India and China town. A must do when visiting Penang!"

David’s Kitchen: "If this were in Europe it would have a waiting list of 3 months"

"Of course, as the number 1 rated restaurant on Trip Advisor we knew it was going to be good. But we were not prepared for one of the best dining experiences of our whole lives and for the fact that this was going to be much more than just about food. We were greeted by the owner, David, himself, who was entertaining, humble, informative and passionate without being pushy. He made us feel so much at ease and I felt a sense of being at home and being well looked after. This was after a greeter had walked with us to the door shielding us with an umbrella. As we had not booked they had to improvise fast and every table gets a name shield! It is such a nice touch. When you walk into the restaurant area you can feel that the staff love their job. They are all so happy, cannot do enough for you, do not hover, are courteous, smiley and discreet. They exude an aura of people who are well treated. It was more of an extended family atmosphere than anything else. The food was, what I can I say, truly amazing with the best pumpkin soup I have ever tasted in my life and succulent duck with, again, the best mashed potato I have ever eaten, ever. Furthermore, between starter and main course you get served a scoop of sorbet to cleanse your pallet and prior to the soup, a square of watermelon with cottage cheese. Such a delight. We had several chats with David who was floating around, checking that all the diners were happy (amazing that this man is so passionate and committed to his life’s work) and he let us go into the kitchen and meet the chef who was a very unassuming, clearly very talented guy who was also a partner. It was amazing. When we got the bill we laughed as this, in Europe, would have cost 200 Euros at least and we paid 75 Euros (total including all costs and tip) for 3 courses. For fine dining, this is amazing. There is a 10% service charge on top which goes to the staff (we checked) and 7% VAT added but still, we found it amazing value for money for the whole experience you get. As said, if this were in Europe there would be a waiting list of months to come here. When we got home there was an email waiting for us thanking us for our visit. David had remembered everything we talked about and referred to it in his email. We are still raving about our best dining experience in Thailand to date. Service – unbeatable, atmosphere and setting – amazing, food – exquisite, company – out of this world. You MUST come here when you are in Chiang Mai."

VILLA SONG SAIGON: "Lovely hotel"

"Two nights after a long flight- excellent spa- fantastic views across the river - nice breakfasts and helpful staff. Shuttle water taxi works well and it's nice to return to relative calm at Villa Song. We would choose to stay here again and will recommend it to our friends. "

Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Amazingly beautiful place"

Stayed in Rakkojae and found it a very serene and beautiful place.. breakfast was perfect (the traditional breakfast is esp good)... room was clean and spacious though there were a lack of hooks to hang our clothes.. the only problem is walls are paper thin (typical of a traditional lodging) so we could hear almost every single sound that's transpired in this place.. apart from that, service and room were impeccable. :)

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Fine dining at very good value for money"

So pleased I reserved this restaurant 90 days before we got there! It is so much in demand and I am not surprised. We chose the 6-course dinner accompanied by their recommended wine and with each course you look forward to the next one. Art on a plate and simply delicious. Just $31 for the 6-courses! Unheard of!!! Chef came round each table for our comments which we really did appreciate especially when the restaurant is so busy. The hostess was also very helpful and pleasant.

Glenburn Tea Estate: "Wonderful place"

"There’s only one downside - a very rough road to get to it. However, it’s only the final 30 minutes of the trip and trust me, it’s worth it! Large, clean and very comfortable bedrooms, amazing views of the hills of Darjeeling, the tea estates and the snow-capped Himalayas, quality breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and, in between relaxing, some great things to do. A walk down to the river or up to a viewpoint led to cold towels and drinks, followed by amazing picnics. There are cars to take you everywhere if you don’t want to walk. Highlight for us was spending time with the lovely Nilima, a local guide, who was knowledgeable, happy to talk about her life and the local community, and great company as well. Highly recommended."
