Rachamankha: "A total and superb experience"
Every little detail was thought of in this stylish hotel. Breakfast is served in one of the most amazing places. Rooms are specious and wonderfully designed. Location is perfect. It's worth investing a little bit more and staying here. If we could we would move in. We will come back.Villa Song Saigon: "Wonderful and Relaxing Boutique Hotel. Luxury of a bygone era"
"French Colonial Property (in District 2) overlooking the Saigon River .... immaculate ... superb !!! Everything about VILLA SONG was superb, including it's location ... so close to the city BUT far enough away, allowing you to fit into the groove of trendy District 2's ever-changing residential area) Friendly staff and very very helpful. Courtesy river transport to and from the city. Grounds magnificent. Pool sparkling. Rooms in keeping with French Colonial theme ... so relaxing ... rain or shine. Breakfast delicious and fine dining at restaurant ... superb. Anything they could do to help you enjoy your stay ... they did. Would go back in a heartbeat !!!!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "“This is a must see -a fantastic, wonderfull and different experience”"
"After 30 minuts sailing on Tatai river we arrived at the 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. There are 12 luxus tents floating on the river. Each tent has a terrace and a bathing ladder and there is a restaurant serving wonderful food. It is placed in the middle of the jungle so here is peace and quiet except the sound of birds and fish jumping in the river. The staff is excellent and talks English. The Lodge has several excurtions. We went by boat 40 minutes to a waterfall and climbed the rocks, had lunch, enjoyed the sun and jumped in the waterfall to have a heavy back massage. After comming back we enjoyed a cocktail and had the most wonderful sunset from our terrace. We also went by boat to see fireflies lightening in the dark trees along the bank. We only stayed 2 nights but we could have stayed much longer if not for our schedule. It is a wonderful adventure experience if you want to go to a peaceful and different place. With love Vivi Lizzi, Denmark Room Tip: All the tents are the same and placed with 6 at each side of the restaurant"MesaStila: "Historical Luxury"
"As we came into the front gate, the old time luxury greet us. Such as beautifully cared garden, antique train station, and grand colonial dutch building. If you are in to quietness and peaceful, this is you. The villas mostly are antique javanese houses. And we get the merapi view in the morning, very nice. Clean an comfortable. The rooms generally is large, even for the four of us. A bit pricy though. But it's worth it. Great service."Arumdalu: "Great honeymoon and vacation!"
This was our first -and surely not the last- visit to Arumdalu. Private beach was awesome with white sand and great view. Room was very comfortable for couples, no tv means we had the place for ourselves. Strongly recommended for couples who want to refresh themselves. And maybe a good place for a deep thinking too..Mume: "Just amazing"
"I personally cannot understand the low rating. My experience here was fantastic! I am from the industry and the food & cocktails were on a really high level. Also the casual dress code and relaxed environment just make it better. For Taipei it might not be cheap, but compared to places like Hong Kong or Singapore it is! And you definitely get great quality and its worth it! Recommending this place to everyone!"Pindaya Farm House: "Great Shan State retreat"
"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2.5 day, 3 night stay at the farmhouse. After working/living in Yangon for six weeks, Pindaya Farmhouse is a little paradise, a beautiful building, with wonderful spaces indoors and out to enjoy the rural scenery, along a quiet drive and road out from which we birded quite happily in the afternoon (enchanted by the Sooty-Headed Bulbuls...). The décor is stunning, including bright paintings by Myanmar artists that grace the common room's walls. We also appreciated the farmhouse's efforts at sustainability, with solar panels, solar heated water for showers, rainwater harvesting and storage, and ample vegetable gardens and newly planted fruit trees. I can't wait til the mango trees begin to supply fruit! The rooms are extremely comfortable, each with private sitting spaces outside affording vistas of the rural countryside. Lighting is excellent, and the wifi system was quite reliable (also surprising to find!). The kitchen offers a nice array of dishes for lunch and dinner, although Win Naing also recommended an excellent restaurant, the Golden Moon, on the outskirts of town. We spent one half-day touring the caves, the nearby paper/umbrella artisans, and a weaver. On our second full day, we hired a guide to take us on a 5-mile hike up into the hills, where we visited a village in the bamboo grove and watched potato ""crackers"" being smoked/dried and enjoyed green tea and good conversation with the lady of the house. Along the way, we were passed by a couple and two Myanmar guides who were hiking from Pindaya to Kalaw, a three-day trek. I also collect textiles, and was sent to a little gift shop that had a beautiful selection of women's ""longyi"" cloths. Afternoons were for relaxing and reading, while evenings we especially enjoyed our final dinner shared with fellow travelers. In mid-February the air is still cool and delightfully dry in Pindaya, a welcome respite from Yangon, although it was always a bit smoky from the farmers who are burning crop residues in preparation for the upcoming growing season. That gave a special glow to the sunrises and sunsets, which were both stunning. Thahara made it very easy for me to arrange all aspects of the trip, managing my extensive email inquiries, helping me to settle on dates, and even arranging flights for us between Yangon and Heho near Taunggyi. I paid online via a secure epayment website, it could not have been easier. I plan to recommend Thahara's Pindaya Farmhouse to all my Yangon colleagues!"Yandabo Home: "Wonderful remote place by the river"
"If you are looking for authentic beauty and an experience of typical country style village life, Yandabo Home is the place to be. Beautiful brand new lodges , with well trained people, especially the 2 lovely ladies from guest relations, who joined us during the visit of the pottery village next door and to Pan Nyo village across the river for a look around this village famous for its buffaloes. This place gave me , together with Hpa An lodge in the south of the country, the best good feeling of Myanmar. No internet , no Tv, waw... Stayed November 2016, traveled as a couple"Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song"
"Delightful spot on the Saigon River. You get away from the noise and crowds of the city. Breakfast on the terrace is perfect. Rooms are good value. Dinner was good but expensive for what you get. The chef needs to be more innovative if they ant to charge these prices. The location alone does not warrant them, though it is a great spot. Staff charming. Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful stay in Pingyao"
