Sandat Glamping Tents: "Loved it!"
My boyfriend and I decided to treat ourselves and try glamping. We absolutely loved it! We stayed in a rice hut (Barong) and it was amazing. Staff were really friendly and always happy to help. Although the location is a little far out, the shuttle service acted like a personal driver for us! The road leading to Sandat was a little bumpy, but not a big issue at all. Breakfast was great as well. The whole experience was lovely and the quiet of the surrounding rice fields really made out stay more relaxing. The only drawback would be the wifi which was a little temperamental.Maisons Wat Kor: "Beautiful hidden gem – perfect for a relaxing getaway"
Sadly we only stayed for one night, it is the perfect place to relax especially since it is a little out of town. The Cambodian style villas are cozy with a good range of amenities (just wish they provided some shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms), the pool and pond areas are lovely with all the tropical plants and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the morning sitting on the deck overlooking the lotus flower pond and the afternoon swimming in the pool (surprisingly the water was cool despite the heat). The food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The server went out of his way to cut us fresh coconuts from the tree. Definitely a place to return to for another weekend getaway.mudanwan villa: "Tranquil and GREAT hot spring facilities!"
"I have stayed in Mudanwan for 2 night with my family. We got a big room on the ground floor with our own hot spring pool and swimming pool in the back yard (privacy guaranteed), a large bathroom with another indoor hot spring pool, two king size beds, and it was just fabulous!!! We went for a full board package and the food was just gorgeous and fresh! There's a 24 hr juice/snack bar too. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the services were just great. We really had a fantastic time there. Although the location is really in the middle of nowhere, they do offer a nice shuttle service. "KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "Perfect pool villa away from the rush"
"Khwan...What a place. Thanks to tripadvisor, i found this gem. Since there werent many reviews, i was a bit skeptical at first, but the moment i arrived, all my fears went away, as the place was amazing and the honeymoon trip ended on a perfect note. it is a duplex pool villa. There is a small living room, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. Upstairs is the bedroom and another bathroom with a balcony. Super clean, very chic decor with works of art adorning the walls. Due to a storm, the nearby beach(2 minute walk) was a mess. We hired a bike, and went to the fishermans village (recommended). The breakfast options are limited, and you need to inform in advance. It is served to you in the villa. The pool is perfect in size to relax. There are two deck chairs to laze about as well. Gail at the front desk was great. Very polite and will help you out with info for everything from shopping to bike hiring and tours etc. If you want to chill and relax and a pool is your thing, look no further. Khwan is the place to go. "Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Amazing food, peerless produce, great service"
"The food was amazing - I work in a Michelin star kitchen and it baffles me how CWD has yet to get at least one Michelin star. We chose Tasting Menu 2: Amuse Bouche Duck Confit with Crispy Rice Steamed Mekong Langoustine Tonle Sap Croaker Fish Angkor Stout Pulled Pork Green & Ripe Mango Tart Fresh Seasonal Fruit Platter We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the eating the last bites of the each dish made me so sad, knowing that the experience would soon be over. For 31usd per pax, excluding drinks - I thought we got more than a fair deal for the amount and the quality of the food. Chef Joannès Rivière was also kind enough to oblige us when we requested to take a photo with him at the end of the meal, which truly was the cherry on the cake. Merci Chef! & thank you Carole, for helping out with the birthday surprise! If we ever make the visit to Siem Reap again, it'd definitely be just for Cuisine Wat Damnak. "4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relax on the river, marvel at the mangroves, unwind in the waterfall"
"We drove five hours from the vibrancy of Phnom Penh to the peace of Tatai and the 4 Rivers - polar opposites. With no wifi, we abandoned the outside world for three days and sank into the luxury and tranquility of this mini resort. With just 12 lodges, and a whole river to yourselves, there is no option but to relax and unwind. We kayaked, swam, had a go at stand up paddle and took a couple of good tours; one to kayak through the mangroves, and the other (my favourite) to visit the Tatai Waterfall. The food throughout was excellent. Service very attentive. You emerge refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your journey. Great to know that the project is working so hard as a force for good in the local area too."Mie Cafe: "Excellents plats"
"Service de qualité, plats délicieux surtout le risotto au fish! Une merveille. Le chef est venu nous voir à la fin du repas."Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A pleasant returned stay"
I stayed in this hotel before and this time I am returning with bigger group of friends. The staff handled our reservations with full attention and all details have been taken care. We were extremely surprised as one of the rooms was upgraded for our better comfort.Villa Song Saigon: "Beautiful colonial hotel"
A fabulous hotel with lovely staff. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and the room we had was great with a fantastic balcony overlooking the huge pool. The room itself was a good size with a lovely bathroom. The setting on the river is beautiful and the food in the restaurant was some of the best we had in Vietnam, especially the breakfast with amazing French toast! It's a great restaurant to sit and watch the river traffic go by and you can almost imagine you are in the middle of the countryside. The hotel is a little way from the city centre but they lay on regular free bus transfers and feels like a haven and welcome break from busy Saigon.THE ISLAND LODGE: "Excellent Hotel perfect for relaxation"
"This gem is located within Mekong delta and offers piece and quiet, beautiful ambiente and very helpful and friendly staff. There are a few rooms which ensure no mass tourism. Slow food and tranquility, perfect hospitality and harmony are the keywords. We stayed there for 3 days and enjoyed a pre-paradise experience. Especially the spa with different types of massages is a soul-supporting experience. The rooms are clean with the option to use an airconditioning. The bathroom and shower is clean and showing lots of litte details which sum up to a very special hotel. At every step one finds another detail which makes this hotel a personal little home. We felt at home instantly and will return as soon as possible. For our little lady of the age of 9 it was a paradise. The pool is clean (which we did not spot everywhere in even more expensive hotels in South East Asia). The Coconut Smoothie became her favourite drink. :-) We enjoyed boat cruises and a visit at the next town's pagoda with impressive statues. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - even by Asian standards. The transfer from HCMC to the hotel gave us a good possibilty for a first insight to people and country. We recommend this gem for everyone who seeks piece and quiet in a very special atmosphere within a safe and clean environment. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Island Lodge. "
