David’s Kitchen: "Excellent Birthday Dinner in Chiang Mai"
"My girlfriend, Allie, and I went to David's kitchen to celebrate her birthday. We wanted to go somewhere very nice and make the night special and David's Kitchen was an obvious choice from all of the 5 star reviews on Trip Advisor. When we pulled up to the restaurant we were immediately greeted and escorted in. Every employee we passed on the way in wished Allie a happy birthday. When we sat down, there was a happy birthday card and a named place card for us. The service was absolutely amazing. I did not feel like the waiters were hovering in anyway but as soon as I needed something, someone was there to help. David himself made rounds around the restaurant and had private conversations with each of the guests. We thoroughly enjoyed speaking with him and hearing his stories and he even gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities in other countries that we were going to visit on our trip. We got the highly recommended pumpkin soup and it was out of this world! Really do try it if you go to David's! We both got the braised beefs cheeks and it was melt in your mouth tender. I think I would get something different if I went again but it was still a very good dish. Finally, for dessert we got a delicious chocolate lava cake and the employees came out to sing Allie Happy Birthday. It was a great night and was made very special by David and his staff. Absolutely worth the price. (Book reservations early because they go fast!)"Sea Dance Resort: "Unforgetable Holiday"
"I have to say that Sea Dance is one of the best hotel resorts I have been to! I enjoyed every moment I was there with their warm hospitality from Poy, Faith, Helen and the rest of the team! For those who love to have your privacy in terms of the beach itself, I would recommend the Sea Dance Resort! Trust me, you would never forget about it. Moreover, I was impressed by the Thai staff, Khun Pa, from the Sea Bass restaurant as l left my reading glasses behind and went to search for them but couldn't find them. She then followed up my request promptly and brought them back for me at the villa. Another lady was Khun Toy, the head chef, who always attended my spacial meal's requests and made sure that I would satisfy with those meals throughout my stay. How lucky The Sea Dance to have the thoughtful & caring staff like them. Last but not least, my favourite part was the live music which was performed by Gustavo and his friend, Niko! What a memorable experience ever! Keep up your wonderful work, Poy and your team! I'll be back again soon. Thank you very much for your uniqueness and professional service!"Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Champagne and snow"
"This place is an absolute must. Chef Ton is a magician, he gave me 3 types of watermelon as an amuse bouche. I tasted sea bass with lime snow( Devine) There were oyster sabayons, pickled gourd, river prawns and everything was cooked with a light modern touch and confidence. The service was smooth, and slick.Every dish and wine was fully explained. The decor is minimal, the location is down a small alley next door to namsooth bottling plant. The booking was done via Mr Tao who squeezed us in. Many thanks to the entire team . I will return"Inle Princess Resort: "Beautiful hotel on the water"
We absolutely loved our time at the Princess Beautiful and large room with a fire lit each night. Stunning view over the lake. Excellent spa treatments. Restaurant was rather disappointing as lacking atmosphere after 8pm. Definitely a 60+ resort Stay here or the AureumThe Cabochon Hotel: "Excellent + cozy"
Well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. Probably the best hotel we stayed in during our month in Asia. A wonderful little hideaway amidst the madness of Bangkok's 10 million noise-makers. Don't sleep on the restaurant, either. It's quiet but truly exceptional.Tandjung Sari: "A Lovely Place to Stay"
"The Tandjung Sari at first glance may appear to have been eclipsed by other flashier new hotels along the Sanur Beach. However it is all the things this hotel doesn't tell you on its web page which make it so special. The fantastic collection of Indonesian antiques that adorn this pretty hotel, the attentive staff, the amazing food from the kitchen and the sheer peace and calm would be hard to find anywhere else. The bar is manned by a pair of enthusiastic, fun loving mixologists who are constantly devising new drinks for the guests full of natural fruits (none of your nasty sugar based cordials). The breakfast choices were the finest we had ever had staying anywhere and so generous that you don't want to eat midday. Add to this the gentle patronage of the arts by the hotel's benevolent and kindly managers, which allows local children to practice their traditional dances within one of the bales and to perform for guests and you have a perfect, well priced vacation. This is a vision of old Bali. We will definitely be back. "Reverie Siam: "Fabulous honeymoon stay"
My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel has been opened less than a year and feels immaculate. There are so many positives about this place. The design of the hotel and gardens, the very conscientious staff that make you feel special, the high quality finish of the rooms and the superb breakfasts. The hotel is not crowded and so the swimming pool area is very private we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. A nice touch was a free glass of wine or bubbly during some of our evening meals. There was live music on 3 nights of the five we stayed which we enjoyed. We had a fantastic chef board one evening in the restaurant which was delicious. The only thing that would make this hotel even better would perhaps be spa or massage treatments. There aren't fantastic spas in the area and as the hotel has such pretty gardens that would have been lovely. A wonderful hotel, stay here you won't regret it!Summertime Villa: "Simply magical"
We found Summertime to be absolutely magical. The serenity and beauty is outstanding. We could hear the birdsong all day. The house is perfect in every way with the greatest attention to every little detail. Prakash, Dinesh and Vaibhav were great, the food was fabulous. We would definitely want to come back again and again. Thank you Sucheta & Hans for also showing us around your lovely home `Aranya’. P.S. We loved meeting Jango, Gina and Bubbly too!Pindaya Farm House: "Insight of rural Burma"
Simple, authentic, amazing home cooked food, cute little rooms, great views over the valley and right in the middle of nature. Aye, the host cooks all organic from the garden and around. The farm is a place for nature lovers curious to discover rural Burma. A fantastic experience to live! a true "secret Retreat" away from busy citylifeSea Dance Resort: "Outstanding service, gorgeous resort."
"We have just spent 7 nights at the magical Seadance Resort and it was superb. We originally booked for 3 nights and fell in love with the place, so we decided to stay for longer. Even after a week, we didn't want to leave. A huge thank you to Poy, the lovely owner, Faith, Helen, Guy and all of the wonderful staff at Seadance for making our last week in Thailand so special. The staff are incredible, so helpful, so friendly and they are what truly makes this Resort stand out from anywhere else we have ever stayed. The accomodation is fantastic, we were lucky enough to stay in Villa 5. The views were beautiful and it was so private and peaceful. Seasalt Restaurant at Seadance is incredible, the food is first class, with a huge choice of Thai and western cuisines. The cocktail list is very extensive and they sure know how to make them. They also have a very impressive array of high quality gin, and thanks to Poy, we are now converts. The breakfast was really yummy, a perfect amount to choose from and they make the best cappuccinos we had in Thailand. The resort is only a 10 minute drive away from busy Chaweng beach, if you feel the need for nightlife and crowds. The big Buddha pier is only a short drive away and a 30 minute boat ride to Ko Phangan. We highly recommend Seadance and we can't wait to return. Thank you again to the beautiful staff, you guys are awesome!!"Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
