Misool Eco Resort: "Wow, What an amazing Place"
"this is the one place the journey to get there is worth the experience, the resort is spacious and well laid out the rooms are well laid out and the outdoor bathroom/shower while strange for the 1st time soon became normal. the food and the dining area was great, there is beer and wine available but no spirits or bar service, so if you have a favorite tipple then you will need to bring that with you, but food and accommodation aside you are here to dive and you wont be be disappointing, the house reef Jetty dive is probably the best house reef dives in the world, this is only location I am aware of were you can see Reef Mantas and Oceanic Mantas interacting at the same cleaning station, the variety of see life is incredible, Pygmy seahorse, turtles, sharks, Nudi's, corrals, if you can think of it there probably is one there somewhere, we even had whales passing the bay during evening drink times. if you are into photography, you are going to have a few challenges, makro, wide angle, video, the dives are so diverse you need every option available, the other challenge is the sea life is so rich the fish keep getting in the way of your shots... overall this resort is not easy to get to it is at the upper end of the cost market, but is it worth it, yes and Yes my last comment is a bit selfish since I have now had the honor of visiting this region is that we (the traveler) continue to seek out remote untouched places to visit, they then become popular destroying the reason we went there in the first place, the management of the resort and the sanctuary zone is extremely well done, i truly hope it does not bend to more commercial pressures."Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"
I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this place was so impressive that I felt I should. The hospitality here was better than any other 5* hotel I have visited. The people are friendly in a really genuine way, and the hotel just has a charm about it that is incomparable to anywhere else I have stayed. It's not something that can be bought, it just has a story to tell and it's authentic and you kind of feel like you are part of the story of the place while you are there. The hotel arranged a scooter for us and when we got a flat tyre they sent someone to pick up the bike and someone else to make sure we were ok and then a driver to take us where we wanted to go free of charge.. an impressive rescue mission! In comparison to gilli, it was just above and beyond miles better. Quieter, cleaner, nicer and so relaxing. It's not right for party goers, but for a place to unwind and relax.. it was perfect. I would love to go back one day.. can't recommend it enough. Thank you Tugu team for taking such good care of us!!The Village House: "Fantastic place to unwind"
"A beautiful little hotel about 40 minutes out of Kuching centre. The room was great, the 4 post bed was comfy( and squeaky!) The air con was a great relief. The bathroom was clean and the linen was fluffy. The staff were very attentive and friendly. On site they have a kitchen you can order reasonably priced food and there is a bar that is also well priced. I really enjoyed the food but I didn't trying any western dishes other than a sandwich. When we left for our red-eye flight the staff gave us sandwiches for the trip. There are some deck chairs around the pool that are shaded and the pool is clean, warm and adds to the overall relaxing vibe. There's beautiful gardens too. The ponds and fountains also added to the relaxing nature. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to unwind and relax. They also run trips from the hotel to all the major touristy bits and they can book taxis and airport transfers."KHWAN BEACH RESORT: "A secreat retreat"
"Our couple experienced once again a too short but unforgettable week-end stay in Khwan Beach, right by the beach of Maenam Though they added 4 new villas to the 3 ones thay had only for our first visit, it was very much unbelievable to find such high quality of personal service repeated in a larger boutique hotel and such in-villa service, delightful and with exceptional decoration ( no wonder they call themselves the first Gallery resort in Thailand ) We had again all our wishes coming true as they advertised on their web site. Privacy still at its optimum in spite the 4 new villas, with a sensation of being at home with a rare view over a river, beach, ocean and the island of Koh Phangan !!! And no one to look at us in our private garden and amazing swimming pool. The whole staff is super, special thanks to Gaelle and Nittaya We will be back again soon within few months, we highly recommend this secret retreat!!! "4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relaxing and 100% natural environment"
Resort is located at the river, you can feel the movement of the stream. As it is surrounded by forest, you can enjoy sound of birds/insects/other animals. Service is excellent, staff is nice and helpful. Luz,the resort manager, introduces all facilities in the resort in very clear way. You can ask her any questions about the resort and she will kindly answer you all. There are no air-cons in the whole resort ,Fans are provided in the lodges and there is breeze,so you will feel very comfortable without any hot feelings. Food provided is mainly western style, taste is ok. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice , guitar songs(recorded) are played in the restaurant area. You can enjoy swimming, fishing and canoeing in the resort. There are several tours provided in the resort e.g. Tatai waterfall, sunset tour etc. I have chosen trekking in Cardamom mountains areas. It will cost you around 8hrs but you can explore in a rain forest. If you are lucky, you can meet some wildlife during the tour. WiFi is not provided by the resort during my stay,so I have bought a 4G data card by myself in airport , it is from metphone(ISP), signal is downgraded to 2G in the resort area , but it is already enough for whatspp, skype and email. Luz said WiFi will be provided by resort very soon.Satri House: "Lovely place to stay"
Great location, 10 minute walk or 3 min tuk tuk to town and night market. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent pool side, dining and room service. Lovely room, four post bed, timber finish, spacious ensuite. Definitely a return visit. Thank you to all the staff. You helped make our trip to LP even more enjoyable.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Nourishing for body and soul"
We stayed for 10 nights which included 2 nights on the local backwaters on the hotel owned boat - The Lotus. The whole stay was amazingly relaxing and the time on the boat was the most peaceful and comfortable 2 days I have ever spent. There are only 18 very comfortable cabins Either facing the garden or the stunning, endless sandy beach. The staff are all amazing and well trained and so helpful from morning bed tea till the end of a delicious supper. Mainly Indian food ( fine by us) eaten in one of 2 restaurants-one on beach and the other in a cool vaulted traditional structure in the garden. Also serving as a bar and library. Excellent ayerverdic treatments, free daily yoga and various excursions including bird watching from a canoe. Open air bathrooms lovely but watch out for frogs. Excellent tailor on site and have a cookery lesson with Deepak the chef. Everything fairly expensive but done extremely well. Good for individual travellers.Manukan Island Resort: "Fantastic way to start the holiday!"
"Arrived at Manakan and the staff were fantastic greeted us straight from the boat, check in staff Welter was BRILLIANT and couldn't do enough for us helped us with transfers to our next destination and was just really helpful, warm and friendly. The room was great in hindsight it would have def paid more for one of the rooms within the trees as the view from there rooms just looked amazing! Great walks through the jungle but mosquito spray is ESSENTIAL!!!!! Dinner was lovely could do with more veggie options though but that seems to be a theme throughout Borneo. Lovely beach and just like everyone says once the tourists go you feel like the islands yours. Food was really good and a great price! Especially when compared to other hotels. Diving was nice although the corals are looking a bit sad and a lot have died but no fault of the resorts. Sunset point whilst it has a bin really needs someone to take the trash as over flowing bins kind of ruined it a little also once the tourists have gone a bit more effort into taking trash of the bin could be in place. A great start to the holiday and honestly a beautiful place which I'd def recommend"Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Excellent. quiet stay"
This is a wonderful place with superb accommodation, a deserted beach and fabulous infinity pool. The food is outstanding and the staff excellent and and couldn't do more for you. The attention to detail sets it above the rest. Highly recommended.CABOCHON: "Excellent"
