The Island Lodge: "1 Night Not Enough"
"Paradise away from the city. Only stayed one night as part of a package. If relaxation with some tranquillity, good food and 5 star customer service - would recommend. It is a bit of a drive either from HCMC Airport of from where the Bassac Boat tours operate from. But well worth it. Would like to return for longer next time. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Manda De Laos: "Amazing setting with the Pond and great dinners"
friendly welcome, great settings of tables with lots of privacy. The menu is has lots of choices to return few times on our stay. The service has charm and they explain well all the dishes. very reasonable prices, will be coming back sure.Maison Polanka: "A welcoming oasis with boutique charm"
Great for families and couples who are looking for tranquility and excellent service after long days at the temples. The rooms are clean, charming and tastefully appointed (we were 2 couples, we had the Khmer House for our parents and stayed in the Orange Room just across the way), and the pool and grounds are tidy and inviting. We enjoyed a couple of breakfasts and a dinner there -- the food was delicious and the setting so peaceful. I might only suggest that the early morning to-go breakfast be amended to forgo the heavy full sets of flatware and replace the bread slices for an omelet option or something. The generous coffee and hot chocolate thermoses were genius, though. My highest starts for this stay was for the service -- we were made to feel like we were the only guests there, though we weren't. Francis was a particular gem: so helpful over email before we arrived and exceedingly courteous and thoughtful about arrangements throughout our stay (important since my father-in-law has a prosthetic leg and doesn't fit well in small cars, and none of us are accustomed to humidity). I would return to Maison Polanka in an instant and already have recommended it to friends. I have no doubt it is one of the most special hotels in Siem Reap -- we enjoyed it even more than our consequent stays at luxury properties like the iconic Metropole Legend in Hanoi, Vietnam. It's just a lovely place with lovely people.REVERIE SIAM: "Simply the best"
My wife and I drove to pai which was fun and stayed at the reverie for one night and enjoyed it so much we kept extending until we had no choice and had to come home and stayed 4 nights in total. Best hotel I've ever stayed in and can't really find a single negative. Great value and if you waTugu Bali: "A memorable one of kind type of hotel"
From the moment you enter this peaceful beautiful hotel you know that you are somewhere very special. Artworks and sculptures abound and even a Chinese temple has been tastefully installed into one of the restaurants. This place feels more like a very large private residence and I imagine it would be a great secluded retreat for anyone trying to escape the spotlight. My brother and his wife chose to have their wedding here and WOW what an event that was! A private bar was set up out the back on the lawn with the beach and ocean nearby as the backdrop. Furniture was set up for the guests and a thick trail of marigold petals and frangipani flowers littered the lawns and marking the walkway for the bride - it was a colourful and touching tribute evoking tears in me even before the ceremony had commenced. Earlier in the day florists were hard at work making bouquets, floral arrangements and weaving flax decorations to be hung from the pergolas. On nightfall candles were even lit marking the walkways to services for the guests. Every detail had been thought of and the waiting staff were helpful, friendly and eager to serve. The Indonesian wedding feast was bountiful and delicious! We had an upstairs room and other family members had the downstairs. Although they had their own private gatehouse entrance, fish pond and private plunge pool I found our spacious room with ocean views overlooking stunning gardens and waterlily ponds - just as secluded and peaceful, to be just as lovely. I can't recommend this place highly enough, for not just the food, massages and friendly staff but for its absolute ambience. Upon leaving we were waved goodbye, given gifts, fresh fruit platers and drinking water for our journey. I couldn't help but feel sad to leave this place that had provided us with not only amazing food and comfort but the most restful holiday I think I've ever had. We loved the main pool though my only suggestion would be to consider putting proper height steps in and a handrail for easy exit from the pool for the disabled/elderly.Mume: "definitely creative and top 10 Taipei"
"It is hard to understand how the restaurant could be rated anything less than 5 stars. The food is definitely creatively presented, ingredients atypical and the flavours wonderful. This all leads to great tasting food in a classy yet casual environment. My favorite was the beef short ribs and the Mume salade terrific. The night before I ate at Le Blanc, which is the sister restaurant for steak frites and lobster. Mume is about double or triple the price of Le Blanc and the food is not necessarily that much better, however Mume is for a more special occasion. Definitely recommend and you are paying full price."Reverie Siam Pai: "Best couple getaway in Pai"
This could be one of the best kept secret place in Pai. We stayed in a mountain view suite which is very spacious. The hotel is so lovely and the food at the main restaurant is so good that we were really reluctant to go anywhere. A perfect stay!Jing’s Residence: "an excellent experience"
I highly recommend Jing's residence. Situated in the heart of the old town, it has kept the atmosphere of times past.Service is very good and the chinese breakfasts are for a european, an experience to be tried for your delightREVERIE SIAM: "A wonderful escape"
"We stayed 2 nights in the family villa and absolutely loved it. The thought and style put into the room was obvious from the cool little pieces or art to the location of plenty of power points and towel racks. Staff was fantastic and the included breakfast far exceeded our expectations. Also the little things, like a cell phone for our use while in town and the free shuttle service from the property to town were greatly appreciated and showed us a new level of customer service. We stayed during low season so the rate was very reasonable, if you can afford it, the value for money here is as good as I've ever had! "
