Villa Song: "Fantastic hotel"
"Stayed at Villa Song for 4 nights. This was our first trip to Vietnam and we chose this hotel based on the reviews and we were not disappointed fantastic hotel, wonderful service and added benefit of speedboat to get to and from city centre. The room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clear. The breakfast was really good and lovely view if the river. I can not recommend this hotel enough has everything you need the only downside is it is far from the city centre and attractions. We had dinner at The Deck on our ladt night and the food was amazing. Great hotel, wonderful staff"tugu bali: "We wanted a WOW !!!!!! place to send our first Christmas! We found it! Hidden Secret"
"My boyfriend and i wanted a WOW place to spend Christmas. I went on internet and typed : "" best places to spend Christmas"" and i found an article from Condè Nast saying : Bali, and the best hotel to go : Tugu Hotel ! So i booked. The hotel is amazing since the owner is the biggest art collector of Indonesia, you can really feel a good ""vibe"" BUT the service is even more amazing. We rented the Dendari Suite(we had our private pool and private court yard with a fish pound, with a private swing bed !!!. They brought us to our room at midnight after a 30h flight ..., candles were lit, encent was burning on the way to our door AND our HUGE bath was filled with warm water, flowers and lemongrass essential oil..... WOWWW, the rest was just like that, there is only 21 rooms so the concept is that you can have your breakfast, lunch diner where ever you like, at the beach, at in the Chinese Temple, in your room, near the pound whereever ! The food at the hotel is great, i would really advice you take the romantic package !! It comes with a 2h30 pampering at the spa that finished with them washing your hair, outside, on an antique chair, WOW ! Kadet at the spa is amazing, Khrischna our waiter was so nice loving and caring like the rest of the staff. Kelly, the hotel manager was there for us if you need her and made sure our stay was perfect! The only thing, and i told it to Kelly is that there internet site does not show how great this place is!!! I want to go back !!!!!!!! "Glenburn Tea Estate: "An oasis in beautiful landscape"
"We stayed 4 nights here and felt this was just about right. 2 nights is just not enough for the journey in and out which is yes long and yes bumpy.. but it is an adventure.. and to be honest after reading about the road I was slightly worried. In our opinion it is not as bad as its made out to be. If you want to get away from it all and off the beaten track you have to put in some effort. Will, Faye and the team were great with exceptional levels of service given at every moment. If you like the ski chalet concept you will love Glenburn. This is a ski chalet in the foothills of the Himalayas. There is a wide variety of activity and plenty of time just to relax if you want to. One tip take good walking shoes to really enjoy the treks available. Rooms are big, unique and lovely. You could put on pounds if you ate all the food. There was plenty of it and at all times of the day. Bed tea in the mornings was a real treat. WiFi was weak but leave it behind and put it away is our best advice. We did and were so refreshed by doing so. All in all a really lovely place to stay."THE SAMAR: "The Samar Villa & Spa Resort"
I highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel in Siem Reap. The staff were welcoming, efficient and professional. We received good advice with regard to visiting the historic sites from the General Manager Bertrand and arrangements were put in place to make it very easy for us to make the most of our time there yet we were still able to fully enjoy our stay. Situated near to Angkor Wat and the center of town yet peaceful and quiet within the bounds of the hotel. A clean and pleasant swimming pool. We were served a very generous breakfast. All the meals we ate at the Hotel were well presented and very tasty with dishes on the menu to suit all palates.Villa Song: "Amazing City experience"
"we had a fantastic stay at the Villa. the staff and Manager were extremely helpful and friendly. we are not city lover so this location was ideal and the speedboat transfer meant we had limited experience of traffic jams. The hotel organized all our tours and there were superb. Would highly recommend this hotel the food was excellent and been only 23 room it did feel you were getting one on one personal service. thank you all for making this the great experience it was."Muang La Lodge: "Northern Laos a very special spa resort"
"Situated on a river with hot springs and nestled in beside a small village this Hotel taught us more about high quality cuisine and life in Laos than any other. It was unseasonably cold but with coal fires in buckets (!) at each table and a large fire pit close by we were never cold. Hotwater bottles in the beds, hot thermal tubs on stilts in amongst the trees, a pool on an island, I think you must be getting the picture that this is a pretty special place. From the hotel we visited hill villages and this is a great place to hike from. Picnics, 4x4 vehicles and guides, transfers etc all organised by this hotel. It is a remote part of Laos and therefore very unspoilt. This is a gem of a hotel in such a far away place "David’s Kitchen: "Amazing food"
Went there last year with my parents. Amazing food and restaurant. David had a nice chat with parents. You need to make a reservation!Muang La Lodge: "A magical property in a hidden oasis"
"Muang La Lodge was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Everything was splendid - the onsite hot spring baths, magnificent views, swimming pool on a private island in the river, well-appointed, luxurous rooms and wonderful variety of food. The staff were impeccable - the two young French managers, Raphael and Matilde, were outstanding in their work as our hosts, and the local staff who supported them couldn't have been more friendly and delight to be around. Every morning I awoke to the sound of the river going by and loved watching the scenes of natures beauty right outside my door. The little pet monkey, Cookie, who was rescued by the owner as a baby, was a great source of fun and delight for me also. We did some incredible tours of the local area through the Lodge guides. An absolute MUST if you are there. It made for one of the most special travel experiences of my lifetime. Travelling to the high country tribal villages was a as educational as it was magnificent. If you are after a holiday with a difference, this is truly the place to visit. I would recommend this journey to everyone."Manukan Island Resort: "Absolute paradise."
I have never before, and will probably never again, stay in such a beautiful resort. The rooms were worth 10 stars, as was the location. Yes, there are many tourists during the day, but they did not bother us in the slightest. The serenity of the island after the tourists leave is amazing - very romantic and beautiful. The breakfast, a la carte menu and various buffets were extraordinary. A very, very, very special mention to all of the lovely staff who were so genuinely kind, and made the stay what it was. If you find yourself at the bar, look for Frederick who makes the worlds best Espresso Martini!!!David’s Kitchen: "Amazing experience"
The food and the ambience were both excellent. We met the owner David who recommended a couple dishes for us to try. My husband had the duck, which he claims was the best he had ever had. I had the squid ink pasta, delicious! Overall experience was great! David made us feel right at home and was sweet enough to give us restaurant recommendations for the countries we are visiting after Thailand. Must try if you’re in Chiang Mai!Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
