The Island Lodge: "Lovely rest at the end of our trip to Vietnam"
This was a great place to finish up our trip. Boutique hotel, lovely facilities, not busy, excellent restaurant. The staff were particularly good, so helpful and charming, We thoroughly enjoyed our last few days in this wonderful country,Neeleshwar Hermitage: "First-class"
Our wonderful experience here was probably some function of us being the only guests for 3 days, since we arrived in the low season when the skies were pouring. However my sense is that the service here is generally very good. The cottage (sea-view) was a little smaller than I expected but extremely comfy and clean. The open-to-sky bath was a delight. This small resort has a fantastic private beach, a nice pool fronting the beach, great food (especially if you like the local Malabar specialties), attentive staff, an experienced spa and ayurveda team, and basically everything else you need for a memorable luxurious vacation. Highly recommend. WE visited the Bekal Fort and the Valiyaparamba backwaters (houseboat cruise) - both stunning.Samanea Beach Resort: "top class"
wonderful piece of paradise in the delightful kep. yes, it's further out of town and a bit of a schlep to get in to the crab market, but it's worth it for the tranquility of the location and the beauty of the private beach and jetty. you can watch crab fishing and wildlife from your sun lounger and the grounds are superbly kept. junior suite was well worth the splurge for our honeymoon- the outdoor bathroom was magical. professional and unobtrusive service to top it off, and a great value happy hour. we will be back!Samanea Beach Resort: "Girls Trip in Cambodia"
Beautiful, secluded resort. The hospitality and atmosphere is beyond expectations. We arrived in early afternoon to welcoming arms and were escorted to our villa. We enjoyed the delicious lunch and partook in 2 for 1 drinks at happy hour. When the bar tender discovered I preferred Bacardi Rum to what they offered, he went to a market and purchased it for my next drink! Unbelievable people! The servers gladly held our second round of drinks for after we returned from dinner. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and kind. The outdoor bath and shower were a perfect ending to serene and peaceful day.Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Perfect end to an unforgettable Kerala tour"
Perfect sea view villa, blissful pool, deserted beach, breakfast on the beach, fabulous fresh fish dinners. Every effort was made by the staff to make our stay perfect. Great Ayurvedic massages by polite considerate staff. Loved the incense lit in the room at sundown. Even had a shirt made! We will definitely return.Locavore: "Absolute excellence"
Locavore was recommended to us by friends. It is a wonderful food experience to have in Ubud. Expect many more courses than you think and everything you put in you mouth is superb. Presentation, particular the crockery is unique. Loved everything. It is a set menu - 5 or 7 courses for lunch. We chose 5 but you get many more. We were there for my husbands 60th birthday and they presented him with a cake in a coconut with candle at the end. Very special.Dewakan: "Innovative yet true to its Malaysian heritage"
Dewakan can easily beat some of the Michelin starred restaurants hands down. Chef Darren's creativity with local ingredients, whilst staying true to his Asian roots and elevation in the composition of both in every single dish is remarkable to say the least. Don't skimp or worry bout your diet or whatever - just go for the 10 course dinner. You won't regret it!Talabgaon Castle: "A pearl tucked in the beautiful Rajasthani countryside"
"Located one and a half hour from Jaipur on the way to Ranthambore or Bundi, Talabgaon Castel is the perfect blend of Rajasthani heritage and culture ! The road to reach is crossing the countryside and villages. I love the thrill of diving deep in the rural India and suddenly reaching this splendid property. It brings you back in the royal times ! The castel has been remarquably renovated and improved by this family of polo players who are passionate about their legacy. I came with some friends and we were welcomed and by two of the brothers who take great care of us all along our stay. The staff is professional and provided an excellent service. They serve authentic Rajasthani food made with the vegetables from the organic garden. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and beautiful. Chose one with the view on the swimming pool ! I particularly loved the gardens where you can stroll until the organic gardens, the farm the polo field and meet on your way some peacocks and even an emeu ! Perfect place to explore the rural life of India and to relax. They offer a large range of activities in an around the hotel (horse riding, walks, jeep safaris, camel cart ride...). We all wished we had stayed longer ! Thank you to the Talabgaon family for lovely time! Stayed January 2017, traveled with friends"David’s Kitchen: "Wonderful spot for a honeymoon dinner"
We at at David's during our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. The wine selection was great and the food was incredible. We highly suggest the Braised Beef Cheek as well as the Pumpkin Soup if they have it. Staff was extremely attentive, almost too much as points but thats better than the opposite. Would definitely come back to David's again next time we are in town.Jing’s Residence: "Wonderful, feel like at home"
"We stay 3 nights in the hotel, in a courtyard room (the romantic one) and everything was wonderfull. Rooms are so beautiful, well-equiped, clean and very quiet ! All the staff speak english and can easily help you. The breakfast is so big, with chinese meal and also european meal (try their pancakes !!!). The restaurant is amazing like all the plates. The chief is very good and you can practice with him during a cooking class ! We really appreaciate our stay and will be happy to come back again in Jing's Residence !"
