Sanak Retreat Bali: "A gem in the middle of the rice fields"

We got to the Sanak Retreat after leaving the busy streets of Seminyak, arriving by foot through the rice fields in the late afternoon, because of a broken down truck on the ‘main’ road... What a feeling and what a view!... we absolutely loved the place - the restaurant is good (but not cheap), staff is helpful and welcoming, swimming pool is great. And do go for a walk in the fields around the place at sunset or sunrise. The most memorable place we stayed in during our 3 weeks’ trip in Bali and would strongly recommend.

Villa Mathis: "Truly Memorable!"

We stayed a total of 4 nights and proved to be the most romantic and relaxing getaway. The GM Chris and his staff was very warm and attentive to our every needs. We especially enjoyed our romantic dinner under the stars, complete with a Balinese massage and a flower bath. The resort is beautifully laid out and decorated, like a magical oasis. The location from Semanyak was perfect so that you could visit the bustling shopping area and restaurants in less than 30 minutes from the quiet surroundings of the resort. I would highly recommend Villa Mathis to any couple (and even families) for an ideal getaway to beautiful Bali.

Arumdalu: "Calming Escape from Urban Life"

"If you ever find yourself in a sea-tuation in need for a peaceful green retreat and a doze of Vitamin Sea, then the answer you're looking for is Arumdalu Private Resort in Belitung. My first-ever trip to Belitung and Arumdalu surpassed all my expectations of a private resort in a small developing island- less known than Bali. We stayed a total of three days and two nights. Absolutely ah-ma-zing! Throughout our stay, the staff members are all very friendly, extremely polite, and offer helpful services 24/7. On my very first night, we were having trouble with the wifi connection from our multiple devices. It was past midnight when I called the front desk for assistance. The receptionist assisted us for a long time over the phone and maintained his professionalism all throughout. We were very thankful for his patience and kindness. The whole facility is really gorgeous, with beautiful architectural details and greenery. Everything seems to be thoughtfully designed and managed for the sole purpose of comfort and privacy. This place offers absolute privacy (underlined and bolded.) On top of its general secluded location and the private beach, each villa is designed with complete privacy in mind: gated entrance, dense greenery as partitions between villas, and a personal swimming pool. There is also a sense of exclusivity through minimal interaction with the staff on daily basis. For instance, there is no specific timeframe for room cleaning service and the staff wouldn't knock on your door to clean up your space. Everything is only a phone call away. How convenient! Another highlight is ‘Sahang Beachfront’ restaurant. The restaurant evokes a strong cozy ambiance. The wooden glassed space with home-styled table decorations creates an extremely familiar intimacy. The veggies and fruits used as ingredients are organically grown and freshly picked from in their own garden. Bottom-line: the food here is worth the calories to satisfy your palate. Personal side note, as an architect that values design and craftsmanship as well as an avid believer of living a sustainable lifestyle, I feel an overwhelming sense of satisfaction staying in a resort that proactively shows and promotes its core values of their thoughtful quality design and eco-friendliness. Oh! Did I mention that I saw 6 dolphins by the shore while waiting for sunrise? Such a therapeutic comfort. The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent stay"

This is a place not to miss in Bangkok, in the city and at the same time in a very quiet area. Home both discreet and friendly availability of the owners to advise addresses, tours, hearty breakfast. We stayed for 3 very comfortable nights in rooms with XXL size, tastefully decorated. Wonderful!

Villa Song Saigon: "Absolutely splendid & luxurious"

We selected this hotel for our final night in Vietnam and to celebrate our anniversary. It seemed a long way from the airport initially, but really it is quite close to the city centre and the hotel provides regular transport for guests. We splurged on an art suite and it was so beautiful that we wished we could have stayed longer, much longer. The staff were so kind and in our room we found a lovely little surprise to help us mark our special occasion. How thoughtful. The location of the hotel overlooking the river is beautiful and we were so impressed with the decor, the staff, the restaurant and the facilities. Our room was superb in every detail and we were given the opportunity to take a boat ride from the hotel's dock to the city - great fun. A fantastic stay.

Mie Cafe: "Lovely little restaurant with absolutely delicious food."

"My daughter recommended this restaurant having visited it last year. We were not disappointed. We ate from the a la carte menu but were tempted by the gourmet set menus. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were magical. I highly recommend this little gem, set in a beautiful garden setting."

misool: "Paradise!!!"

After 8 flight connections and a 4 hour boat ride from the US, this place was just paradise! The passion that these 2 individuals have for this area of the world is evident in their respect and protection of the ecobalance of nature...from the use of only fallen logs for the buildings and furniture to the use of natural bacteria and plant life to filter the water services. The food was wonderful with a local influence and nice variety. The staff were from the surrounding and some far away villages and so very friendly. (...) Our dive guides on our boat, Marafel and Ferry, were so great to hang out with. So fun and friendly, and knowledgeable of the reefs and fishes! They even rescued our camera after we got excited with the mantas on our safety stop. Even though we don't know their names, all the behind the scenes staff were wonderful in making this vacation so relaxing and exciting at the same time! Even if you're not a diver, the house reef is wonderful for snorkeling and the view from the water cottages is breathtaking! We would go back in a heartbeat and I urge you to go and see this piece of paradise for yourself!! Terri F., St Jacob, IL

Villa Song Saigon: "Endless smile"

From the beginning we felt hard welcome. You can feel that the staff is wel threated. Very clean rooms with nice decoration with nice extras in the bathroom. Breakfast is exellent! The shuttleservice is easy and is a nice service. The swimmingpool area clean and relax. The staff at the restaurant is really helpfull and proffesional of course due the power of the food/beverage manager( european). Big thanks!

Slow Villas and Spa: "Hidden little secret"

"Slow is located on the eastern part of Gili Air - it s a small island, but this area is still quiet, with many coconuts and few construction. Each villa is a little private sanctuary, with a large garden, a nice pool, a terrace. charming decoration, quality linen... and the possibility if you like to have a chef to come and cook a BBQ just for you. Very friendly team, happy to share their favorite spots around the island. it's not right on the beach... but this is why also it's so quiet... and beach is 2mn walk! recommended: take a bike and go around the island by bike!"
