tugu bali: "High quality hotel with strong historical identity"
"We enjoyed very much Tugu Hotel for the beginning of our honeymoon with my wife, through a three nights stay. The particularity of Tugu Hotel is that it is also a kind of museum with valuable and well designed pieces of furniture, decorations and paintings. Rooms are like small houses with an internal private courtyard and a swimming pool. The garden is also well designed with nice statues coming from ages. The staff is nice: everyone in the hotel knew our names since the beginning for instance. "Mie Cafe: "Best Dinner in Siem Reap"
On our final night in Siem Reap we came here and it turned out to be our favorite restaurant. What a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting. We had the prix fix menu which was delicious from start to finish. Highly recommend this lovely gem.Villa Song Saigon: "Part of my 60th birthday trip to Thailand and Vietnam"
"I have never been to Vietnam before and after spending a week in Thailand we flew to Saigon ( Ho Chi Minh) I had booked the Villa Song hotel whilst in the UK. I like staying near a river or the sea and the hotel looked ideal for us. There were 7 of us incl my wife, her cousin, our 3 children and my eldest sons girlfriend. The hotel was perfect! We arrived and as a surprise some friends of ours who live in Hong Kong had flown in and were at the bar as we arrived. The setting was so good we decided to stay at the hotel for dinner and it was excellent. Great French wines at great prices The chef who also came out to see us was really nice. He was born in Luxembourg and was very helpful. The whole place was excellent - a real original Colonial house that had been renovated into a fabulous boutique hotel. The food, the breakfasts, the cocktails were all superb Great spacious rooms with satellite TV and all the staff could not have been nicer. Above all the prices were sensible and affordable I could not recommend this hotel highly enough - right on the river and just 20 minutes into the centre on a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel You must go!!"Mathis Retreat: "Relaxing in Ubud’s rice fields"
Excellent hotel where Karin's staff will welcome you after a long or short journey to Ubud. Beautifull and well equiped rooms with great bath & nice shower. Very comfy bed. Outside asthonishing view, beautiful swimming pool, delicious resto, what elso do you need ?Tugu Lombok: "Pure delight"
"We stayed 5 nights to end our honeymoon. The staff goes the extra mile. The grounds are spectacular. Our room felt like a luxury adventure in itself, outdoor shower, giant bed, Balinese art everywhere. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially couples who want a low key and relaxing getaway. The staff set up several tours and all were incredible. Tiu Kelep waterfall is a must."Chakrabongse Villas: "Relaxing days in bangkok"
We stayed four days in the amazing riverside villa. Starting with a very friendly and warm welcome by the manager Ms.Atom, our stay was as good as we had expected. An oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city of Bangkok. You will feel like prince and princess in former times, to whom a perfect breakfast and dinner will be served in a beautiful location. The whole staff did their very best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you very much Atom and all the others, it was a great start for our journey and we will definitly come back!!Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "paradise found"
we as a family of 4 (kids 9 & &) spent 3 nights at Golden Buddha over Thai New Year. We were all completely blown away by the natural beauty of the island and its wildlife. It was a trek to get there but was a price well worth paying. We stayed in Tongsai which was a charming house at the beach front. It is old fashioned luxury minus air con or electricity at night! The service was excellent as you would expect from the Thai people as well as Massi from Italy. We did a jeep safari which I would definitely recommend. We had a very knowledgeable and personable American guide called Brennan. The whole experience was just magical and one we shall never forget.David’s Kitchen: "The Highlight of our Chiang Mai Visit, Excelled Expectations"
We recently visited Thailand and Singapore for 18 days and this wonderful dinner definitely makes it into our top 3 best restaurant experiences. Firstly the venue is a delight and the elegant and contemporary decor was refined and impressed us greatly. Although the three course meal was exceptional as you would expect, it was the wonderful ambience and vibe of the place that so impressed us, as well as the attention to detail. There was a welcome card on our table (which we were permitted to keep) and from the first moment of greeting the wait staff were impressive and so welcoming, showing an interest in us and our travels. The pianist in the background was first class and really added an element of romance. Perhaps the highlight was meeting David Gordon himself. He was incredibly friendly and down to earth, and gave us the time of day which really resonated with us. He even consented to us taking a photograph together. At the conclusion of the meal I was presented with a beautiful red rose and we were sent out by David and his wife. A DK car was on hand to take us back to the hotel, which was also a welcome and special touch. If you're wondering about the food, the pumpkin soup was perhaps the best I've ever had Simply executed and divine flavour. We both enjoyed the signature beef cheeks, and we had to make room for dessert. I can say if you're after an experience where you feel special and valued, and want to be comfortable and pampered DK is the place to go. We have been to many hatted restaurants in Australia, and we think we are qualified to give David and his team 5 stars. If we're ever back again, this will be our first stop.Villa Song Saigon: "Just Wonderful"
"We loved staying here. It is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a bustling city. They service was impeccable! They allowed us to check in early and check out VERY late which was so convenient for us. They have a wonderful scheduled boat that takes you to the center of Saigon in 15 minutes which was just so fun. The idea that you can have your free breakfast any time of the day is perfect! They scheduled a tour for us and we were picked up right on the hotel's dock. The pool was nice and quiet. The restaurant is right on the river and has very good food "Inle Princess Resort: "Nice place to relax"
" It was a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. We left Yangon (it was boiling hot at 39 C), travelled on the very efficient KBZ Air, a rugged car journey through townships and finally a 30 minutes speedboat ride to get here. We felt relaxed the minute we got off the little speed boat. The place was surprisingly ""cool"" in early April because of the altitude and the heat in the afternoon was quite acceptable. There is nothing to do here but to relax. Leave your work behind, bring a good book and sun tan lotion (and mosquito spray) and enjoy. Unfortunately the wifi works so you are still connected to the outside world."
