Cuca: "Dinner"
We had dinner at Cuca our first night in Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran and the restaurant was literally next to the resort so it was really convenient to get to. We both had the chefs tasting menu and a few cocktails. The presentation was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The value for the tasting menu is incredible. The rice tempura soft shell crab and the meat and potatoes were our favorite dishes. We would highly recommended!Tugu Lombok: "Number One in My List of Favourite Hotels"
"Tugu Lombok is the dreamed hotel for all who imagine a paradise with silent tropical white sanded beaches, wooden villa, just a few steps from the light blue sea. The resort is designed as a boutique one, a precious collection of asian art is arranged around the restaurants, the villas and the gardens. Walking around you are touched by an amazing culture, art and sence of luxury design. Each villa has a priveate pool and a beach, tropical shower under the stars. The honeymoon villa is the ONE! Tugu Lombok is a great place to propose to your Love! Or to excape for a romantic vacation... Room Tip: Villas at the beach side are amazing!"Maison Polanka: "“Rooms with character ”"
While in Siem Reap on business I wanted something with more character than the usual hotels, that could also be my home for my business trips. I found Maison Polanka thanks to an article in the Financial Times. As others have said, the rooms are beautiful and the staffs extremely helpful managing to arrange temple tour to fit my business schedule. The nature there is just so peaceful and gives me energy to start my day as well as rejuvenates me in the evening.Once you enter the wooden gate,it is another world. Just bliss!Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A royal and magical experience at the blue mansion"
"Cheong Fatt Tze mansion was on top of my to do list when I was doing my Georgetown itinerary. And I thought why not stay there. I agree it's a bit pricey. But if you want to get the real feel of the jewel of Kedah i.e. our beloved Georgetown, you should stay for one night and you will definitely not regret it. I stayed in a room called Chang Yu. It was my fairy tale come true day. I won't say that the room and amenities are very fancy and royal but the feeling one get is amazing. You get a free tour of the mansion as a plus."Jings Residence: "Boutique hotel with real Chinese character"
This is a great boutique hotel in the heart of historic Pingyao. The staff are very enthusiastic and keen to please, though the standard of English is not the same as in the bigger tourist centres in China. The rooms are around a courtyard and have been well designed: they retain a lot of original features but have modern plumbing, wifi access and other conveniences. Very nice dinner served with some style. Thoroughly recommended.Kinabalu Park: "Highly recommended"
Not only for a mountain climber but also for nature lovers. Many tracks to walk with plants, birds etc. Good restaurant there too.Really enjoy the scenary and all the birds around.Nice weather so can walk a whole day.Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Take the tour!"
"Beautiful building - thoughtfully and aesthetically restored. There are three tours a day, 11, 2 and 3:30. Make it your priority and if you are there on a Friday, it's your lucky day. You will see why. The tour gives you a good perspective of the history and the lifestyle of the elite of Penang."tugu malang: "Best hidden gem in Indonesia"
"We're currently living in Jakarta, and sometimes you need a little getaway from the Big Durian. Malang is it - and this is the hotel to stay in. I loved everything about this place. The hotel staff are really friendly - arranging early check in and late check out with no problems and playing with my baby. The rooms are gorgeous, really comfortable beds, huge beautiful bathroom with really nice products, and wood floors (great for a crawling baby). The grounds are like a museum with so many places to walk and explore. The hotel is located in a very walkable location and the hotel staff are helpful with recommendations. The restaurant has the best Indonesian food I've had in Indonesia. They'll modify for vegetarians - try the Nasi Campur. The breakfast that's included is also incredible - you can order off the menu and take from the buffet - all included! The coffee is amazing - we took home 2 bags of beans, very reasonably priced. The afternoon tea that's included offers a wonderful selection of Indonesian snacks to try and great tea and coffee. They include a welcome massage of 15 minutes, and we bought a full massage, which was really high quality and totally worth it - and reasonably priced. "Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "SUPERB"
"It is hard to know where to start with a review of this wonderful establishment. The Nepali food on offer was the best we had in Nepal. The staff and management are wonderful. Caring, kind and hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble. We had room 11 and were extremely happy there. Our comfort was paramount to every member of staff. We had the unfortunate experience of my husband becoming quite ill after our 8 day trek and whilst he was in hospital in Pokhara the compassion and concern of the management and staff towards both my husband’s recovery and my well-being was amazing. As well as organising medical care swiftly, they also drove me up and down the mountain daily at my request with never anything but a happy attitude. The management ensured I never felt alone whilst staying there and in fact I felt that I met some truly wonderful people. I can honestly say the experience at the Tiger Mountain Lodge was just like being with family- so comfortable. Thank you all so much - you are wonderful. Adrian and Katie Hollister"Mrauk U Princess Resort: "Beautiful Mrauk Oo Princess Resort"
"The Princess Resort is a lovely place to simply unwind after sight seeing around Mrauk Oo. There is a pool, spa, walking areas and wonderful resturaunt. The property is quiet with lovely tropical flowers and the staff very attentive. It is accessible by boat, which when the tide is against you is a long ride. But, the scenery on the way is wonderful. It is about 45 miles from the main town of Sitwe, so somewhat remote. Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent"
