The Inle Princess was just lovely; and the staff was eager to please in every way. The thatched roof bungalows were very well done and the grounds were meticulous, peaceful and enchanting. I'd recommend a bike ride to the nearby vineyard. Also, bring warm clothes for the very cold nights and mornings.The Cabochon Hotel: "Hidden Treasure in the heart of Sukhumvit"
Cabochon is hidden inside Soi 45. Once you reach there, it has a real peaceful and charming feel. The decor is exquisite with very fine attention to detail. They have a lovely bar and also a very tasty Northern style Thai restaurant. It is a definite place to visit for food, drinks or a relaxing night. I will definitely be back here! "Deux nuits dans ce petit établissement de charme. La vue est extraordinaire, l'hôtel est au milieu des rizières, l'atmosphère de paix et de sérénité est unique! Les chambres sont des bungalows répartis un peu partout. Jolie déco, très propre. Wifi quasi inexistant. Les cocktails de fruits sont à tomber et le spa de grande qualité. N'hésitez pas à vous faire masser. Les petits déjeuner sont à la carte et très bons également. Le mie goreng le matin est super bon. En revanche je pense qu'ils pourraient rajouter automatiquement du pain et viennoiseries pour tous les petits déjeuner, même pour le petit dej balinais. Les portions ne sont pas hyper copieuses. 4 Rivers Floating lodge was an excellent place to relax. Calm, peaceful and blissful. A large variety of activities, from kayaking, jungle trekking etc. The staff and manager were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely visit again.Tugu Lombok: "Amazing"
Although some might feel the place is too dark and is haunted, my husband and I however loved the quaint interior at the Tugu Lombok. Every piece of furniture or wall carving has been carefully chosen to decorate this hotel. The service was beyond excellent and they had an array of bespoke activities to choose from. Fabulous rooms. Fabulous staff. Great food. Fun town. We stayed 4 nights and couldn't believe our luck. Sumptuous breakfasts fantastic shuttle to town anytime. Nice swimming pool. "This is a lovely hotel in the historic city of Pingyao. The owner has spared no expense to create a comfortable hotel but you definitely know that you are in China. It is located in the center of the small town so it is convenient for sightseeing and walking. The staff was personally trained by the owner and they are always attentive. It is a very special place. "Had a great week at Tugu over Christmas with family. The hotel is decorated with Balinese furniture and art, including in the rooms. Food was very good; nice choice at both the restaurant and for in-room dining. Rooms were first-class; we had a villa with private pool and it felt incredibly private. Service from the hotel staff was also excellent with great attention to make our stay very relaxing; all our needs were met including those from our impatient 5 yr old. Would definitely stay there again if we head down to Bali."
