Slow Villas and Spa: "Déconnexion"

Review by: Thisma | Source: Trip Advisor

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "take me back to the 4rivers where the everything is green and the staff is pretty…awesome"

Review by: Alex V | Source: Trip Advisor
"Never would I ever have expected to find a 5* service in such a remote place. It is so remote that after you step on the boat in Tatai village, you won`t set foot on land for days. And that is mostly because the resort is 100% floating. Which makes it even more awesome. The staff there is simply amazing. The kind of service you would get in a top quality hotel in Europe. They will attend carefully to your every need. Even though you won`t need much being there. You are surrounded by a clean river and the river is surrounded by untouched jungle. Maybe one of the last virgin forests in Cambodia and the whole world. You can take a kayak and discover for yourself, or take the guided tours to the waterfall or to the mangrove forest. You can read books, swim in your own huge river kind of pool and enjoy the delicious food carefully prepared by the Filipino chef. Oh, and one more thing. Maybe the most important one. If you are into protecting the environment and having an eco holiday, this is the place for you. The management there is going over their head to keep almost everything clean. And by that I mean not polluting. The garbage bags are biodegradable, most of the buildings are made from recycled materials or using a clean technology, they strive to use mostly solar power, and even the toiletries that they provide are specially made not to disrupt the balance of the surrounding ecosystems. To sum it up, it`s a gem, one of a kind. It`s a floating heaven."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Best of both worlds!"

Review by: Alexia D | Source: Trip Advisor
This hotel gives a beautiful break from the fast-pace of most areas in India. This place is simply heavenly. The food is very healthy and prepared perfectly. Try the beetroot with coconut soup and the paratha soup. This hotel also offers the opportunity to sail on The Lotus for a few nights and watch the reflection of the sun and moon dance on the water.

MesaStila: "Simply Paradise"

Review by: Stephanie F | Source: Trip Advisor
Surrounded by nature you reside in beautiful and authentic houses that just invite you to dream. The service is great, everybody is very friendly, the food is incredible and we felt truly spoiled. Start your day with a tasty breakfast and a healthy juice from the medicine lady (we just loved her), then visit the coffee plantation with a very charming guide and enjoy some hot bananas and end the day by chosing a tasty meal at the restaurant. Make sure you leave room for dessert. Furthermore, the guide from the hotel that accompanied us to Semarang guaranteed for a perfect day outside the hotel. We had a wonderful time and could really relax. It is also worthwile to book a spa session. The Hamam is incredible and the place is so lovely decorated. All I can say is that this place is truly Paradise.

Mie Cafe: "A Gem"

Review by: SylviaFab | Source: Trip Advisor
"There was a power cut during our first visit, they lighted up a lot of candles in order to carry on the service, we actually found it rather romantic ! My husband had the gourmet set and I had the scallops and beef curry, all very delicious. They gave us a discount as their appreciation that we stayed even there was a power cut, nice gesture. We went back for another dinner, we requested a table upstairs , very nice setting to look over the garden, unfortunately the next door restaurant was very busy with a lot of people and live singing etc. and hence we couldn't enjoy our dinner as much. Delicious food, attentive staff, great value. Would recommend this restaurant."

Talabgaon Castle Heritage Resort: "An absolute delight"

Review by: manuricha | Source: Trip Advisor
"We accidentally stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to spend the night due to unwanted delays during our road trip and it was an absolute delight. The castle itself is breathtakingly beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is highly courteous. We were welcomed like family despite the odd hour. Our caterer Sandeep deserves a special mention here who made our stay even more memorable. The food was delicious and the hospitality that went with it was amazing. Pool is very well maintained. Room was very good and comfortable. Above all every effort was made to meet all our requirements. We booked a camel ride at a very short notice causing them a lot of inconvenience. But the camel was not feeling well. Being animal lovers, we felt extremely happy about the humane treatment that was given to that animal. The manager apologized profusely, despite it not being his fault, and did not charge a single rupee for the cancelled ride. Kudos to you Mr. Singh for running the amazing show. There is no downside. Even the slightly bad road leading to the castle is totally worth the experience. Only regret is we could not stay longer due to further commitments and therefore we are planning to visit soon with family."

Cuca: "Oasis in Jimbaran"

Review by: JulietteJJ | Source: Trip Advisor
Dinner at Cuca after reading review in a Dining Magazine. 3 adults and 3 children aged 14, 8 & 4 (Bit nervous!!!) Unfounded! Greeted and welcomed like family! Shown to our table and children immediately given colouring books, pencils and "kids" table setting including crockery and cutlery! Choose the degustation menu (I am Pescatarian) and was fully catered for without an issue. Each meal was out of this world! The taste, quality of produce was simply amazing! The mushrooms and scallops my favourite, the corn being my sisters favourite! All in all a beautiful meal and experience from start to finish. All staff attentive and made the night extra special! Would go back for lunch and dinner in a heartbeat! Would be amazing in the day sitting outside in the gardens! We will be back!

Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Harmony, quality and privacy"

Review by: Magda H | Source: Trip Advisor
"Our family visited Sea Dance at the end of December 2016. Since the very first moment, we felt very welcome and got a ""home feeling"" in combination with top quality and excellent comfort. The resort is not too big, which gives you feeling of privacy, but as everyone feels so much at ease there, there are plenty of opportunities to chat to other guests and staff members. Accommodation and facilities were perfect. There were always free chairs at the pool and plenty of clean towels. The food was amazing - everything beautifully presented, fresh and healthy and its prices really affordable. We spent a fantastic New Year's evening at Sea Dance - Atom and her band played live music, people danced, sang, ate and drank - it could really not be any better. Towards the end of our stay, we had a medical emergency and Mr Poy, the owner of the resort, took care of it personally, and helped us with everything we needed. We can definitely recommend Sea Dance to anyone, who looks for combination of privacy, quality, relax and entertainment, great food and fun! Stayed December 2016, traveled with family"

Nimmu House: "best place to acclimatise and enjoy the natural beauty of Ladakh"

Review by: ashpi | Source: Trip Advisor
"http://blog.happy-tripping.com/2015/09/06/property-review-nimmu-house-ladakh/ Nimmu house is a beautiful place, replete with apricot and apple trees is just perfect to acclimatise to the high altitude either by traversing the journey to Ladakh on road ( from Srinagar or Manali) or to stay put for couple of days at a quite place, while soaking in the stark beauty of the wonder that is Ladakh. THE SETTING The location is perfect. Conveniently located 30 minutes from Leh (30 min from the airport) , the village of Nimmu is also close to the ,confluence (Sangam) of the Indus and Zanskar rivers and the monasteries of Lamayuru, Likir and Alchi (30 minutes – 1 hour drive). Nimmu is a charming little village where time has stood still, most people are farmers and happy with their simple lives. IMG_0133 Nimmu House is a noble house belonging to the cousin of Ladakh’s King from the early 90s, beautifully restored by a Frenchman Alex . During the property tour , our manager told us about the history and the supposed curse on the house due to which the occupants never bore any children, until the curse was dispelled by buddhist monks. Quite interesting! On offer are 5 spacious tents and 2 rooms in the house , with an open terrace for meals .We stayed in the tent, which had a stunning view of the landscape , comfy bed and modern bathroom . For city dwellers like us the best part is that the property is spread over orchards with hundreds of Apple and apricot trees and the rivulet running through . Lying on the large hammocks ,smelling the sweet scent of apricot and hearing the faint constant gurgling sounds of the stream makes you put all the sightseeing plans on hold. But really who needs to step out when you can experience the nature , warm Ladakhi hospitality in absolute peace and comfort of Nimmu house . IMG_3901_1 THE SERVICE There is no formal reception desk , but the staff is always available to make your stay comfortable. This place is serviced by one chef, one french manager and two local women. We received a very warm welcome by the French manager followed by 2 days of comfort and lot of personal attention. There is so much warmth in people that you forget about demanding any hospitality. We wanted to sample momos at one of the local restaurants on our evening walk and we were not carrying any money. To our pleasant surprise, a plate of steaming momos were served to us during dinner in Nimmu House, courtesy the local restaurant. Even as we were leaving , staff come out to see us off . It was almost like staying with family . THE FOOD Chef Mahesh cooked simple , delicious meals which were served on the open terraces as the weather was lovely. Breakfast had eggs, fruits and bread, as per preference. We loved the fresh apricot jams and juices. Lunch and dinner were 3 course set meals with starter (soup /salad), main course and desert. Sample this :- – Green Salad, Lasagna, Lemon Pie – Tomato Soup, Hakka Noodles, Philadelphia Cheese Cake – Gobi Soup, Paneer Masala/ Mutton Masala, Mud Cake All meals are simple and wholesome, using fresh produce from adjoining farms and stables. The food is largely tailored to suit the western palate as most guests are westerners. But they will keep your food preferences in mind and ensure that you leave the dining table with your tummy satisfied ! Lunch at Nimmu House Lunch at Nimmu House THE FACILITIES and Activities ON OFFER Nimmu House offers the following activities to make most of your stay there . Indoor: A library and game room , Guided tour of the house , stables or cooking classes . Outdoor: village tour , short guided hike , rafting on the Zanskar, guided tour of the monasteries of Basgo, Likir and Alchi. For us it was all soaking up the apple-scented air, lying on a hammock during daytime and hiking upto local gompas in the evening. View from the Gompa View from the Nimmu village Gompa WHAT STOLE THE SHOW? Amazing setting of orchards and Ladakh’s landscape with spacious tents. Best place to acclimatise , relax and learn about Ladakhi culture. It is a far cry from dusty lanes of Leh City and will give you exactly what you came for. IMG_3899 Now that you are convinced, lets bring you up to speed with the practicalities. Know more about Nimmu house Getting there The property is in Nimmu Village and 30 min drive from Leh Airport/ Leh City. Hole in your wallet Expect to pay around Rs 10,000 per night for the tent. Internet / Television There is no TV in the room and Wi-Fi signal is available on the terrace and house. What else – this is a family guesthouse , do not expect 24/7 room service or an elaborate ala carte menu. – Be prepared to relax and enjoy the simple life"
