Mathis Retreat: "Fabulous"
Just a little out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud this hotel was fantastic. Tucked back off the street the entry isn't that inviting. But once inside, you see the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the rice fields and the thatched roof open air restaurant. We stayed in a bungalow with a private little yard (#7) Just behind the beautiful pool, an across from the restaurant. The room was very large, high ceilings, roomy bathroom. We loved it!! It has a shuttle into town and back. It was always great to get back to this beautiful place for a good meal, peace and quiet. It felt like we were coming home. Book this place. No worries.Villa Mathis: "Luxe calme et volupté"

Très grand confort beaucoup de charme et très au calme . Vous pouvez rejoindre la plage de petitenget à pied par les rizières en 10mns. Un must. Je vous le recommande vivement . Vous vivrez une étape au paradis Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Maisons Wat Kor: "The most charming hotel"
We stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon recently and it was a highlight! What a beautiful hidden gem, we just loved it. The staff here are so incredibly friendly, we were sad to say goodbye to them. The whole place was very relaxing and we enjoyed spending some time by the peaceful swimming pool area, as well as enjoying a massage in the serene pavilion that overlooks the pond. The food choices were a little bit limited, but we understand that this is only a small hotel and they take great pride in creating local dishes from home-grown produce etc. We visited Battambang town several times during our stay by tuk tuk, which only cost a few dollars and could be easily arranged from the property. We can see what Angelina Jolie stayed here - we can't wait until we can come and stay again!Reverie Siam: "Don’t even think of NOT staying here"
"Over the last twenty eight years of visiting Thailand, and the last sixteen months of living here, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, from the basic to the luxurious. This however is up there with the very best on absolutely every level. It is incredible value for money. The style is like a Tuscan/ Provencal country house- all winding paths and beautiful planting, leading down to the river. Two pools nestle in the property- one a more conventional lap pool and the other designed to resemble a higgledy -piggledy river- which some rooms have direct access to. The rooms are of an incredible luxury for the price: the most comfortable beds ever, luxurious free standing baths and powerful rain showers, all topped off with local organic products. The rooms are spacious and offer outside areas [ours a mountain view offered great views from the upstairs balcony. The staff were incredible and all took a real pride in the place, were helpful and friendly and the grounds staff made sure it was absolutely spotless. Breakfast on the terrace of the restaurant were very good, with a menu of a la carte options, as opposed to a wasteful buffet, and the food we had for lunch and dinner was of an equally high standard. There was a very reasonable and varied drinks list and a daily cocktail hour, which all added up to our stay being a highly affordable [whilst feeling hugely decadent] treat. If we ever come this way again there will be absolutely no doubt in my mind where to stay. Bloomin' fabulous!"Reverie Siam: "Absolutely charming"
It is difficult to overpraise this hotel. The location, looking up at the mountains behind, is great. My room was spacious, very quiet and showed attention to detail in every respect. It looked out on what seemed to be my own private garden winding into the distance. The free shuttle is not at a fixed schedule, but comes to pick you up when you call. Great service attitude of the staff. The only criticism I could find is that the wifi is a bit weak. Stay here!Rachamankha: "A super oasis of calm in Chiang Mai"
"A proper oasis in the old town of Chiang Mai. It is really beautiful and immaculately maintained - not a leaf or petal out of place. We had a standard room which was fine - spacious and with a lovely large bed. The shower was walk-in and big enough for my husband to use without complaints. The shower has hot, cold, on or off - it was fantastic and extremely strong! There was plenty of free drinking water and for the staff, nothing was too much trouble, at all. The pool area is lovely and while we were there, they replaced the sun beds which were much better! We ate in the restaurant the first night as we got a bit lost when we wandered out of the hotel. It was great - I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. There is a nice selection of both thai and western dishes on the menu and we went for the Thai ones which were very good. Breakfast was amazing. The white table clothed tables were set up in the courtyard and used the beautiful 'antique' crockery. As ever, the service was impeccable. As well as a small buffet there was the choice of a variety of hot dishes, all included in the price. The only downside was the internet - I know that a lot has been said about this and as one reviewer stated, if you want to get away from it all then great, some of us don't have that luxury and I need to check in (home and work) at least once a day. The internet is deeply frustrating and I almost knocked off a star. If the management are reading this PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE INTERNET! Overall a super hotel that we would not hesitate to return to."Inle Princess Resort: "Fairy Tale"
"One of the most beautiful places we have been ever. It s worth the price. Absolutely lovely bungalows, huge room, amazing bathroom with a nice external shower (option we chose), spotless clean, fruits every day and they prepare your room each night before sleeping time. Luxury and discretion. The food is the best we had in restaurants in Myanmar and we were lucky to chose the cooking lesson at local family since we could get some recipes and have a authentically nice experience with locals. We had some massages: excellent ! The place is so beautiful that sometimes you doubt if you should go out do something else We did not want to leave and keep great memorie"Labyrinth: "Fantastic Dining Experience"
Fantastic experience and very unique concept to local Singaporean food. I rang the restaurant 2 days earlier to check on the menu and mentioned we were celebrating my partner's birthday and the restaurant served us a cake with a candle at the end of the meal! That was really unexpected and a very pleasant evening. Thank you JosephHotel Tugu Bali: "Vintage hotel with a charm"
What you get when you stay at a hotel owned by one of Indonesia’s biggest if not the biggest antique collector...is a decadent hotel decorated beautifully with vintage furnitures and antiques obviously all around. Lovely pool to enjoy in and the room was amazingly furnish showcasing Peranakan Heritage and culture. Evident in the snacks and tea provided as well. Like the lemongrass scented soaps.Tugu Malang: "Awesome hospitality!"
Stayed there with a few friends. The hotel itself is so beautifully decorated with priceless antiques, and the hospitality was exemplary! We were to go to Pananjakan to watch the sunrise over mt. Bromo, and since we were to leave the hotel at 1 am, we would have had to miss breakfast that day. The hotel packed (beautiful presentation too!) a sumptuous breakfast for each of us. Highly impressed! Will surely return!
