Reverie Siam: "Pure indulgence"
"My wife and I absolutely lover our stay here. I would go as far to stay it is the nicest hotel/resort we have ever stayed in. We chose the villa with your own private hot tub looking out over the gardens - highly recommended! The pool areas are gorgeous and peaceful. The food is all top class... Highlights for me were the coconut waffles for lunch and the meat tapas board for a late lunch. Also live music every night was a nice touch when enjoying dinner and wine. We hired a motorbike but the hotel have a free shuttle to take you in and out of Pai. Thanks to all the staff for welcoming us, we had a great time :) "Heritage Suites Hotel: "Fantastic hotel with wonder staff!"
"We cannot praise this beautiful hotel enough. We were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and the hotel gave us a lovely bottle of prosecco and flowers. They also upgraded us to a lovely bungalow, which was amazing. The staff were so attentive always opening doors for us, bringing out an umbrella when we get out the taxi in the rain; it made us feel very spoilt. It was a little way from the main area for eating in the evenings, around Pub Street, but a tuk tuk was very cheap at only $3. If you want to stay in a boutique hotel with the very personal touch then this is a definite."Tugu Malang: "An incredible night in a lively museum"
"The TUGU Malang is a unique place on earth, being both a magnificent museum and an ultra-comfortable hotel with a pool. You will be flabbergasted by the magnificence of the place: antiques, artefacts, wooden doors, Bali temples...all inside the hotel. Take to your time to wander and step back in time. The food is delicious and the breakfast amazingly rich of flavours. The location is very central, the service is of high-standard. The only weaknesses of the place would be some rooms facing a wall (but the hotel kindly moved us to a pool view), and the busy and noisy traffic circle outside (ask for a room not facing the traffic circle)."Rachamankha: "Perfect stay"
I stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is idyllic, calm and peaceful. The architecture and grounds are stunning and perfect for relaxation. I loved the lounge area which was ideal to relax in after a day's sightseeing in Chiang Mai. I was delighted by breakfast - well made, great choice and beautifully dressed tables which made for a lovely start to the day. Rooms are spacious and decorated with antique furniture. The bathroom could do with some updating. I also ate in the restaurant one evening - there were not many guests so quiet but the northern Thai food was delicious. The service at the hotel was great. My stay in Rachamanka really made for a great trip to Chiang Mai - loved it !Sea Dance Resort: "Quiet Oasis with 5 star service"
A Gem of the island nestled in the Choeng Mon area of Koh Samui with stylish accommodation and excellent friendly customer service. The bungalows are set within well designed, maintained and manicured tropical gardens with a beautiful pool and their signature restaurant 'Sea Salt' serving mouth watering thai dishes beside a secluded almost private beach with some great snorkelling amongst the corals just offshore.Maison Polanka: "Excellent Boutique Hotel in Siem Reap"
Maison Polanka is an excellent choice for a small boutique hotel in Siem Reap. The very spacious grounds provide an oasis from the bustling town outside the walled compound. We stayed for 3 nights. I chose the wonderful Khmer House, which is beautifully decorated and provides a very unique experience, which is well worth the extra expense. It has a large bedroom and living area, a large balcony with chairs, a spacious bathroom and closet, and a tiled sitting area below the house. Our son had one of the rooms in the main house, and was upgraded on arrival. We had breakfasts here and one lunch and one dinner. The food is excellent. The pool is very nice. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and helped with restaurant recommendations. I would highly recommend Maison Polanka to anyone staying in Siem Reap.Locavore: "One of the best meals we have ever had"
Exquisite 7 course (+ more!) meal, where our nosy eyes got to spy on all the kitchens goings-on. A must visit for anyone looking for a completely unique and flawless dining experience. I won’t divulge too much, just go.misool: "Beyond beautiful"
"As a long time diver in the Caribbean and the Great Barrier Reef, I was amazed at the diversity and abundance of the: soft and hard corals, the fish, sharks, nudibranchs, clams, starfish, mantas etc at Misool. The colors are amazing. I had to remind myself that the reefs were real and not computer generated. Everywhere you looked there was a different coral and an unfamiliar fish/animal. We stayed in a Water Cottage built above the water on stilts. Each night we slept to the sound of water rippling against the pilings, in a very comfortable king size bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. There were few mosquitos near us though others reported some. Food is abundant, delicious, amazingly varied and served family style so you get to know everyone there. You walk along boardwalks surrounded by flowers to diving, presentations and the dining area. We felt pampered our entire time at Misool, by the diving staff, the kitchen and wait staff, house staff, the management and the astounding beauty of the place. Equally impressive is the work the owners of Misool do protecting the reefs, providing jobs / job training and education to the community. The beauty and health of the reefs at and around Misool is do in large part because of the work that Misool does in protecting the reef with it's ""no take"" zone, employing local men to patrol and monitor fishing, as well as the recycling programs that keep the waters clean and also teach the children about the value of their ocean. Misool is a very special place, most of the people who were diving with us were returning because they love it. We also hope to return. "MesaStila: "Always Want to Come Back"
"This is the second time we visit this property within February 2016. First time was on Feb 7th, and the second time was on Feb 28th. We were travelling to Jogja but I missed this place so much, we decided to drive to Magelang to have an afternoon coffee here. I can't even decide where to begin to share with you how marvelous this place is. The property itself is a magnificent mixture between old time Javanese architecture of Joglo Houses, which are very beautiful, and some wooden buildings from Dutch Colonial era. The Coffee and several other traditional drinks here are just the perfect company to enjoy the weather and magnificent view of mt. Merapi. You can also pamper your eyes with the lush greeneries view everywhere you look. Last but not least, the staff here are just lovely. First class hospitality. "Pindaya Farm House: "Very good"
Our 2-day stay at the Pindaya Farm House (formerly Thahara Pindaya) was really wonderful. The hosts, Aye Aye, Ko Yangon and their staff took very good care of us. Our room was very nice, the food home cooked and very tasty, and the sightseeing recommendations very helpful. We visited of course the famous Pindaya Caves, but after we had come back from the about 1.5 hrs easy trek (round trip) to the green tea plantations on the same mountain (we recommend the trek!). Shan paper making was another very nice stop. Our hosts took us to a weaver in a local village, away from the tourist area, simple but kind of a hidden gem. Thank you very much to our hosts and Aye Aye's sister for the wonderful stay we had at their guest house.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
