Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Can’t miss in Siem Reap"

Review by: Andrew W | Source: Trip Advisor
"Happened to stumble on this place after wandering around Siem Reap looking for dinner and was able to be seated without a reservation. That was a stroke of good fortune because this restaurant was exceptional. If you're in Siem Reap, do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. It's pricey for SR standards, but great value for the quality, especially if you're coming from an expensive city. And try the Margarita."

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "It won’t disappoint – Book (via email) well in advance!"

Review by: explrdvr37 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We'd heard of Cuisine Wat Damnak for years and with a recent trip to Angkor, we could not miss the opportunity to give it a go. It certainly didn't disappoint - even if you're not familiar with Khmer cuisine, this place is a treat and an education ... it certainly made us more curious. The menu is seasonal and changes frequently - you get a choice of 2 tasting menus of either 5 or 6 courses. The most expensive it gets is USD31/person without alcohol - pricy for the rest of Siem Reap but a steal to dine in one of Asia's top 50 restaurants. The wine and beverage menu is extensive and the chef-proprieter Joannès Rivière will be on hand to recommend you something that suits. He's also happy to explain dishes if you need - but really, just sit and savour the flavours."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Very enjoyable stay"

Review by: liveforholidays-44 | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed here as we were wanting to stay somewhere environmentally aware & we were very happy with the camp etc. The meals we're fantastic, the chef was really to be commended he did a fabulous job. The one observation I would make is that the safaris are focused on finding leopards as you would expect, so if you are interested in viewing other animals speak up. Overall a great experience.

Tugu Bali: "Can’t keep the secret"

Review by: colyngardner | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and daughters spent a few days at the Tugu in 2015 and could not wait to return again, this time with me. They were right to be so positive. The hotel lives up to all expectations with lovely traditional Balinese style rooms with many novel and attractive features. The exclusive hotel garden provides direct access to the beach and uninterrupted views of the sea and the stunning sunsets. A very short walk along the beach leads to some friendly and pleasant beach bars serving a range of food and drinks. A good tip would be to plan a visit soon as the Canggu area is developing quite quickly as more people discover this lovely section of the west coast. Finally, a word about the staff at Tugu. A very special group of people who work very hard to ensure that the guests have a perfect stay. All in all a very high recommendation for those who do not want to stay in large and impersonal hotels in the more well known Bali tourist areas. "

Samanea Beach Resort: "Stunning location – pontoon into the sea a great plus"

Review by: GenevaBeaver | Source: Trip Advisor
"We were only there for one night, but it's a spectacular location - 12 nicely designed bungalows in a green park where you can't see or hear your neighbors. There were two Khmer families shooting their wedding albums - which gives you some idea of how nice it was - and with a 25 mètre pool you don't need to do into the sea - but there is a 59 mètre or so pier which takes you over the initial mud and far enough out that the sea is easy to swim in Food was excellent - although slightly bizarrely they had no fish or crabs. Extremely Eco friendly, and very nice staff Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"

The Island Lodge: "Best"

Review by: Felix D | Source: Trip Advisor
Best hotel we stayed in in our 14 day travel. Delicious food and a nice staff would've been improved if there had been more people but that's a natural effect of not being in season. The breakfast was good for Europeans it's like a European island...great managers

Manukan Island Resort: "Really worth the price and best ever for manukau island!"

Review by: Yeo L | Source: Trip Advisor
We booked a hillside villa and the view is amazing! It’s nearer to the resorts private beach and far from the public beach which has a lot of tourists during daytime. The hillside villa is a cozy and clean and tidy bungalow. The only thing I wouldn’t like much in the island I think is the sunset point, which we walked for approx. 1/2 hour but just couldn’t see the sunset as the sun was covered by the cloud! And I have forgotten to bring the torch light so we have to walk in the dark in the forest trail! Other than that everything is so perfect and terrific! I give it a five star!

Rachamankha: "Amazing Stay"

Review by: Sophie G | Source: Trip Advisor
"My mom and I stayed at the Rachamankha hotel this fall following a study abroad program I took part in for my graduate studies. What a beautiful place!! The restaurant on the resort is beautiful, provides a huge breakfast, and the dinners there are delicious as well. If it's in season, definitely order mango sticky rice for dessert- you will not be disappointed. We stayed for 4 days to begin and were very pleased. We then left for Phuket for a week and returned to Chiang Mai and the Rachamankha. Our stay the second time was not as pleasant. We had trouble with our overhead light flashing when it was turned off and the air conditioner did not work well. The staff were as helpful as they could be regarding these issues, but because of the language barrier it was sometimes difficult to maneuver more than simple questions. Their recommendations for restaurants were amazing. Definitely make your way to David's kitchen at least once, and also The Whole Earth. You'll need to take a taxi, songthaew or tuk tuk there, but the staff is helpful in arranging them. It's on the opposite side of the old city as all of the markets, but travel is easy to get there. The grounds are beautiful there as well, and very well kept. The pool and library are both impressive. We would definitely stay there again!"

Rachamankha: "A stunningly stylish hotel"

Review by: paulsnap | Source: Trip Advisor
A beautiful architect designed hotel in the centre of Chiang Mai. It has an excellent restaurant and a beautiful swimming pool. We stayed in 2 different suites and I would highly recommend one the first floor suites as they are newer and have outdoor seating.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Excellent service"

Review by: andycoldham | Source: Trip Advisor
"After eating out all week at $10 for two joints along the Taphul Road we decided to splash out on our last night and booked a table at this restaurant. They specialise in tasting menus and offer 6 courses for $31 pp and 5 courses for $27. Wines start at $22 and rise to $100. Two different tasting menus are on offer each night so we opted for one of each so we could taste each others food. The service is immaculate and each course is described in detail before its presented. The portions are not huge but that is to be expected with a tasting menu such as this. The location is not walkable from the town centre so a tut tut is required but it is only $2 each way. As I said its an expensive place by Cambodian standards and not a restaurant you would come to on a daily basis, but its great for a treat. the service is fantastic, the food is out of this world and the premises are awesome.I recommend a visit here at least once , but do book a table as they get full very quickly."
