Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Wonderful stay at Cheong Fatt Tze / Blue Mansion"
"Over the recent Easter long weekend, we decided to take a break in Penang. We picked the Blue Mansion, indigo blue coloured heritage hotel with only 18 rooms after learning about its history and seen some pictures. From the outside, the heritage hotel is hidden behind a high wall so only the roof and part of the building were visible from outside. The hotel also conducts a tour of the hotel, sharing the history as well as the challenging task of restoring the hotel when it was bought over following the death of the last son of the original owner. Hotel guests gets to join the tour for free. We were very fortunate to join the tour on the day that Loh-Lim Lin Lee, current owner of the hotel, was leading the tour. She only does it on Friday at 11am and 2pm. She was a wonderful story teller, sharing about the unique architecture, origins of the materials used in the construction such as colourful history. Beautifully restored with rooms that are a mixed of modern and traditional. We even have a jacuzzi in our bathroom! Highly recommend for a different experience from conventional hotel stay. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"Amata Lanna: "Amazing"
It's like stepping into a hidden oasis. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is withing a few minute walk of the night market amd many restaurants. Every recommendation they provided was perfect. They will be on my list of places to visit again. Thank you for making our honeymoon stay such a memorable experience.Nimmu House: "Best beginning to our trip"
"We visited Leh in July 2017 and stayed at Nimmu house only for the 1st night of the trip. We regretted that decision immediately as we reached Nimmu and would have LOVED to stay longer but it was not possible. Nonetheless, our short stay was wonderful. We stayed at one of the tents in the garden - the rooms and restrooms were done up very tastefully, extremely spacious, beds were comfortable, there was hot water running all day, rooms (or tents rather) were clean and tidy. The food at this property was YUM! starting with the fresh Apricot juice to the lunch and dinner, we did not have a single reason to complain about the food. However the best were the desserts - we had a chocolate pie which was out of the world. we were a group of 11 people and i don't think anyone would disagree that it was one of the best desserts we had ever eaten! As it was our first day we keeping it low - loitering in the property, chilling in the garden, sleeping on the hammocks, attended the complimentary pranayam session by Indrani - which was lovely. (She did conduct a yoga session for a couple of my friends but i gave that a miss). The staff overall are extremely friendly. Special mention to Samarth and his wife (they run the place). Overall, id recommend this place. If you want to visit the Leh town on a daily basis during your trip it MAY get tiresome as its some 30 km (or 18.6 miles) one way however id definitely recommend spending a couple of days at this property irrespective. You will not be disappointed. P.S: Samarth if you're reading, am looking forward to coming back!"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Little bit of paradise"
This hotel is one of the most amazing places I've stayed at! Loved everything about it... rooms were spectacularly beautiful, river was scenic and peaceful, so much to do, loved waterfall tour and travelling on the rive by boat, also had a go at fishing for my dinner 😂Rachamankha: "Beautiful retreat!"
This hotel is a beautifully designed tranquil retreat situated within the old city walls of Chaing Mai. When I say beautifully designed, I mean exceptional to the extent that you can sit outside in the court yard and feel inspired by the tranquil beauty of the traditional dark wood roof, the columns and the traditional furniture designs. The only aspects which very mildly let the hotel down is the ceiling of the bathroom is white cork tiles similar to an office toilet from the 1990s. Also the shower head is about 10 years out of date, still works, it just hasn't got the the spread of any modern shower head. These are minuscule issues to point out but it's due to the rest of the hotel being so beautiful. If they did iron out these small aspects & revamp the rooms a little, then this hotel would be in line with others that cost 4 times the price. Tranquil, Beautiful & Relaxing. Escapism. A*****Sanak Retreat Bali: "Family vacation"
"What a wonderful stay / experience - We just love Sanak Retreat Bali. After travelling around asia for 2 months We arrived at this wonderful, beautiful and most quiet place at Bali. We had a lovely and warm greeting by the staff / No I Will not Call it staff but the Sanak Family. Due our stay they where all so kind, helpful and aware of every guest. The surroundings are breathtaking and even in rain season this is the perfect place to be for exploring and relaxing. We are looking forward to come back!"CABOCHON: "The Friendliest place in BKK"
"I do not have enough words for how much I liked this hotel. I was traveling alone with a 10 month old baby (something that can be a bit hard from time to time as you have noone to share the work with). At Cabochon we had a great shelter to return to from the busy streets. Even though I love the whole style of this hotel I still think that the team is what makes it really really special. They are genuine friendly and independent and cared so much for us. Everyone is child friendly. I was able to arrange babysitting with them to go to a spa one evening. On top of this they have a great restaurant attached to the hotel which I can highly recommend. Since everyone wanted to play with my son I was also able to enjoy a peaceful dinner on my own which was quite nice. Breakfast is a treat and you can choose from a selection of breakfast types. We enjoyed an asian breakfast and it was my favourite on this journey. Apart from this the hotel is just beautiful and has a calm and cool colonial flair in the middle of the hot and dirty city. We enjoyed our stay at Cabochon so much that I can not praise this hotel enough! "misool: "Beyond expectations"
"My husband and I got certified in scuba to come here, and it was worth everything. Facilities were wonderful considering mission of resort. If I had vacation time and money, I would bring my three kids there tomorrow. House reef was such a lovely snorkel opportunity. Food was delicious, as long as one can let go of Western thoughts. I personally found nudibranchs, scorpion fish, and a frog fish (fist bump!) and saw mandarin fish on dusk dive. For the bird addicts, we saw wild sulfur crested cockatoos on the resort island. I will budget to get here again asap with my kids. Dive master took great care of us... (Hugs to Kiikii, despite my great faith that he was Benny). Wait staff was always ready with an eager selamat pagi for early breakfast. Getting here is difficult, but As noted above, I would come back in a heartbeat. Shout out to Mark, Sue and Calvin. I cried when I left... "Muang La Lodge: "Best in Laos"
This place is truly exceptional. The attention to detail is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for the outstanding staff. Quality of food like everything else here is excellent and we loved the 5 course menus each evening. You have to go there!!Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "an amazing – breathtaking views with tranquility!"
