Tugu Lombok: "Full of character and charm"
"What a unique and characterful hotel! The architecture and decor is completely authentic and brimming with stunning antiques and artefacts. The whole experience was so wonderfully relaxing - from the warm welcome and complimentary massage to the fresh seafood dinner on the beach! The sea was so calm - perfect to try out paddle boarding and kayaking. There was nothing to fault... friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, amazingly comfortable bed, stunning outdoor bath and private pool, spacious grounds and a beautiful white sandy beach for long walks. I would not hesitate to recommend The Tugu Lombok to anyone who is tired of large and impersonal hotels."MesaStila: "A great retreat"
It was our second stay at Mesa Stila and we were totally happy and look forward to going there again. The beautiful wood carvings and traditional furniture in the villa, the great service combined with lovely dishes and extremely well trained staff made our stay very unique.Rachamankha: "Excellent boutique hotel with great service"
My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in November at this wonderful hotel and felt totally at home throughout. The ambiance of the hotel was perfect, very peaceful and serene. The whole layout of the building was beautiful with lovely antique Asian furniture, a nice outdoor swimming pool and a cosy library. The library was well stacked with books and also had the benefit of having 2 PC's where we were able to plan our trips and look up local restaurants, even printing out the information we needed on the spot. The bedroom was very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and free WiFi was available throughout the building. The hotel was perfectly located, a very close walk from the Old Town. It also had the added benefit (from our perspectives) of being a non-smoking establishment throughout. The service was first class from all the staff and the breakfasts were delicious. The hotel manager Paul Walker was especially helpful and proactive, giving us many useful tips both for our stay in Chiang Mai and also Bangkok. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Chiang Mai as it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your stay. We will definitely book there again the next time we visit.Maduzi Hotel: "Excellent service and huge rooms"
One of the best hotels i have stayed in in BKK. Worth every penny. Ideal for couples and family alike! Thank you Mai and the night male manager on duty for the excellent customer service. Amrit and ravinVilla Song Saigon: "Height of luxury"
"We treated ourselves to a stay here on the last night of our holiday. It isn't cheap but does offer an exceptional experience. Just taking the speed boat into town makes it worth it! They organized a great tour to the tunnels for us and we enjoyed sitting in the peaceful gardens by the river drinking cocktails. The room is a luxurious boutique standard. The pool is a great size and lovely temperature. The only thing that could be improved is that the attitude of some of the reception staff was a bit snooty, it could be more universally warm and welcoming. Everybody was polite though and it felt very special to stay here."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "One of the best hotels in Nepal"
I have visited Tiger Mountain several times and I now regard the staff there as 'friends'. The team led by Marcus, Jhalak and Dol Raj are very friendly and helpful. The food is some of the best available in Nepal. Local curry is excellent and the Western dishes are wholesome and tasty. The hotel focuses on ecotourism and so tries to use local organic produce as much as possible. The large garden is full of birds and butterflies and the naturlist team available for nature walks are very experienced. The swimming pool has possibly the best hotel swimming pool view in the World. I shall return!Reverie Siam: "Out of this world experience"
"We are so glad we booked that place. It was a family reunion and we couldn't have wished for more. It is not only the place itself which is just amazing but the staff as well whom are all so genuinely friendly and warm. Everything was perfect from the time we checked in until out and this memories will last for long. Spoil yourself and book the villas, they are just simply perfect. Thanks, keep up the great work and see you soon again !"Villa Song: "Singing praises for Villa Song"
Room upgraded and flowers for my wedding anniversary, personal service put a smile on my dial. Absolutely nothing to fault with our stay. Meal in the evening was great as was the breakfast. The complimentary speed boat to the city was fantastic too.Sukoon Houseboat: "Wonderful stay"
"We had 4 nights on this beautiful houseboat and it was everything we had hoped for. Its position is on a quieter part of the lake with amazing views. The staff are charming and attentive, the rooms are well appointed and comfortable with large bathrooms. The food is good, vegetarians are catered for. The large sun deck has comfortable chairs to enjoy the view, and we also had breakfast and lunch there. Free wifi in the public areas. Our stay was over far too soon, wish we could have stayed longer!"Manukan Island Resort: "Charming villas with great staff"
"We stayed for one night in a beachside villa. Staff encountered were all very friendly and professional. Upon check in we were shown to our room, given a welcome tea and a friendly introduction to the room and facilities on the island. The room itself was so charming - spacious, well laid out, clean and very comfortable all round with beach towels and thongs provided and a cute little balcony overlooking the beach, it suited the environment perfectly and you really couldn't ask for anything more. We were warned that they switch generators several times a day and as such we may experience power disruptions but this was very minimal. The outside breakfast buffet was okay, we did notice insects crawling over some of the breads. Dinner, although the menu was somewhat limited, was really lovely with tables and fairy lights set up next to the beach complete with three musicians performing songs for every table - very romantic. Most of the many tourists on day trip leave the island by 4pm and after this you can really appreciate and enjoy the environment you are in as during the day it is not as pleasant, crowded and noisy. The walk to Sunset Point was a highlight though the pagoda there doesn't offer the best view - continue down the small path to the rocks, very serene. We had an earlyish flight to catch on the day of our departure and the staff were happy to ensure an early boat back to KK was made available to us. We were offered a friendly farewell and as we boarded our boat and were about to depart, a staff member ran out to return a power cable we had accidentally left behind in our room which was much appreciated. If you are planning on visiting Manukan Island we would recommend staying at this resort - very enjoyable and well managed and you are able to experience the island without the daily crowds."
