Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Pure bliss"

Review by: allison w | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days at the end of our travels through Thailand and it was an absolute dream! All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. As we rode on the long tail boat to the resort I could start to feel my stress and worries melt away, which continued throughout our time there. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a huge variety. I don't think they offered the same thing twice in the week we were there. The breakfast buffet was heavenly and the best way to start each day. Although I have traveled somewhat extensively, I have never been so sad to leave a resort. I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from it all.

Maisons Wat Kor: "Beautiful hidden gem – perfect for a relaxing getaway"

Review by: Phootprints | Source: tripadvisor.com
Sadly we only stayed for one night, it is the perfect place to relax especially since it is a little out of town. The Cambodian style villas are cozy with a good range of amenities (just wish they provided some shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms), the pool and pond areas are lovely with all the tropical plants and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the morning sitting on the deck overlooking the lotus flower pond and the afternoon swimming in the pool (surprisingly the water was cool despite the heat). The food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. The server went out of his way to cut us fresh coconuts from the tree. Definitely a place to return to for another weekend getaway.

Sanak Retreat Bali: "The absolute highlight of our Bali trip"

Review by: mollerCopenhagen | Source: Trip Advisor
"Now this is not the ordinary 5 star luxury resort kind of thing, it is so much better. We had great expectations upfront reading all the positive reviews and honestly were still positively surprised. This place simply is beautiful. The view, the rice paddies, the pool, in fact the whole atmosphere is so relaxed and idyllic, that you can’t help getting in harmony with nature. We stayed for four nights in a two bedroom villa, and it was nice and spacious, with a beautiful view from both balconies. Interior is basic and you won’t find aircon and other modern facilities like television etc. But you won’t need it, as temperature is very pleasant at night and the layout of the villa makes it possible to get fresh air during the day. Only room for improvement is the relatively limited closet space not matching a two bedroom villa, but we just kept most of our luggage in the suitcase. Bathroom and toilet is very basic and especially the toilet a little dark, also hot water is on/off most times, but not a huge issue for us. The restaurant is really great with very good food and on top has an unobstructed view of the valley. Food is as mentioned really great and prices are very moderate despite the remote location. You are served free water everywhere, really a nice touch. Staying at the resort you will probably have most of your meals at the restaurant, and perhaps would like to see a slightly different menu for lunch to get some variation, but there are still lots of option on the menu to satisfy most guests. We used the spa almost every day, and it’s a really great spa experience they offer at Sanak. Definitely the best spa we experienced in Bali. The spa has a really beautiful reception area and treatment rooms, nice welcome and very professional service throughout the spa treatment. Maybe a mirror to use after the treatment could be the final touch towards perfection. The pool is beautiful and the view is fantastic, so you could easily spend hours here just enjoying the beautiful view. Not enough sunbeds though, so a little busy at times and people actually had to sit on the grass, but guess they don’t want to fill up the pool area with more sunbeds spoiling the otherwise exclusive settings. Maybe a few extra sunbeds as backup could be an idea. But who wants to stay at the pool all day anyway, when surrounded by such beautiful nature. They offer a lot of different tours of northern Bali, we visited Bedugul and Jatiluwih but our favorite was the village trek with a local and very informative guide, absolutely a highlight. If possible try not to miss the local kids practice dancing in front of the pool – really fantastic. We have praised the villas, the restaurant, the spa, the pool and the local guided tours, but probably the best thing about Sanak Retreat is their wonderful staff. They are all smiling, positive, helpful and definitely a huge part of the total Sanak experience. They are all living in the local village and there’s no doubt that they are very proud of working at and supporting Sanak retreat, this is probably what makes this place so unique. From the welcome to the departure we were treated like friends. We stayed many nice places around Bali but no doubt that Sanak was the absolute highlight of beautiful Bali."

The River Resort: "haut de gamme"

Review by: piroulette | Source: Trip Advisor

Reverie Siam: "Nice stop for relax"

Review by: j0hnbalaise | Source: Trip Advisor
Travelling north of Thailand we stopped at the Reverie Siam resort in Pai. All service from check-in to check-out was attentive and friendly. Very spacious room with a comfy bed. Breakfast was very good! A perfect stop for anyone looking for fresh mountain air and peaceful serenity within Pai.

Reverie Siam: "Great place to relax and amazing food"

Review by: yvakat | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for 3 nights in this charming resort, we came in from chiang mai by car, an interesting 2,5 h drive through a curvy landscape... We got a villa, as requested, with very good privacy (no11), everything in the villa is exactly as you see it on the internet.. The resort itself has a colonial style, very well done, we had all our dinners over here, their staff will do everything to accomodate you, food was outstanding (although more western style), but really delicious. We asked one night to be seated with view on the river, again no problem at all ! Breakfast is another great moment, nothing to fault on it. The resort itself has free transport to Pai, which itself is a small laidback town, nice nightmarket, you can very easily rent a (cheap) vespa style bike, driving around is easy, the main attraction points will not overwhelm you but because of the laidback nature it stays charming. Overall we loved our stay overhere, great place to stay, excellent staff, excellent food, we for sure would recommend this to anyone visiting Pai."

MesaStila: "Relaxing Stay"

Review by: Andrea B | Source: Trip Advisor
"MesaStila is a wonderful place to relax. You basically come here to stay and enjoy all the activities and facilities. We loved the pool, the coffee plantation, biking around, having afternoon tea (included), our morning jog and yoga classes. They provided other classes and activities which we did not have a chance to participate in (batik, Javanese dance, TRX, village tour, etc.) Honestly I enjoyed this stay, the rooms were great. We loved our room with the massive turquoise bathtub! The food is pretty good, the coffee is pretty good and the service is excellent. The staff was super polite. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Cabochon: "Excellent + cozy"

Review by: Jackie C | Source: tripadvisor.com
Well-appointed, comfortable and quiet. Probably the best hotel we stayed in during our month in Asia. A wonderful little hideaway amidst the madness of Bangkok's 10 million noise-makers. Don't sleep on the restaurant, either. It's quiet but truly exceptional.

The River Resort: "Paradis"

Review by: sylvain2308 | Source: Trip Advisor
