Tugu Bali: "Wow hidden Jem in Canggu"
A must check out for excellent service & food combined with traditional architecture “As good as it gets !” . We found this hotel in Canggu Bali 18mths ago and returned to re visit this fabulous hotel. Sumptuous decor of the traditional Balinese type. Idyllic garden pool area just by the beach . A haven of tranquility and delight in the hustle & bustle on Canggu. Nothing is too much trouble. Check out their Balinese Dance Evening Thursday’s .... will be back !The Cabochon Hotel: "Exceptional hotel"
Beautiful hotel - lovely furnishings and stylish rooms. The staff were extremely helpful, spoke good English and upgraded us for free! Food also great - free breakfast was good (lots of choice) and the lunch we had was also delicious.Heritage Suites Hotel: "Perfect Location and Stunning Boutique Hotel!"
"On arrival, there are two lovely old vintage cars parked in the drive of this authentic hotel, which is located far enough away from the tourist part of town, but near enough to everything you need! We had a bungalow suite which is really large and not only has a nice comfortable bed with good pillows and linens, but there is a large bath with petals if one wants, plus a large walk in shower, and also a sauna on the other side! There is a separate toilet off the lounge area, and a garden area outside, so that you have everything you need! The swimming pool is really nice and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There is a fabulous restaurant called Marum, which is a training restaurant just at the bottom of the road, where we had a great meal, and there are also some good laundries nearby within walking distance. The service at the hotel is really good, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. My only negative comment is that we would have preferred a larger breakfast menu, as you have to order and is not a buffet, so limited options. Also, we were given a free 15 min massage each, which is very nice gesture, but when my husband, who didn’t want his, asked to give it to me so I could have 30 mins, they couldn’t do this as wasn’t policy! Notwithstanding that, I had a lovely relaxing massage. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, as you really get the feel for the area, better than staying in one of the large chain hotels which were all very near the airport, on one long stretch of road. We also ate at Maris restaurant, and were lucky to get a reservation at Cuisine Wat Damnak, the best restaurant there! But you must book from the UK for that one. All in all, a great choice of hotel, we could get a Tuk tuk easily into town, and a visit to the night market and the old quarter is well worthwhile, in fact get the tuk tuk to give you a tour around town for $5, is great fun!"Manda De Laos: "Excellent local cuisine"
Manda de Laos is happily tucked away from the hullabaloo of the tourist quarter and offers wonderful Laotian cuisine, in a great setting with one of the nicest lily ponds in LP. Food, service and ambience first class - it was quiet early in the evening, but very busy later on - we revisited the next day to see the lilypond in daylight and capture a little more of the ambience. Highly recommended.Inle Princess Resort: "Splurge for the lake view suite"
"Beautiful hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. Service superb. I would splurge on the lake view suite. We spent a lot of time watching the sunsets and seeing the colors change on the water as the sun went down. This is definitely a balcony and view you will use. The restaurant was beautiful as was the bar. My only complaint was that they tried to pass off Tilapia one night as ""sea bass"". No big deal (as this type of slight of hand happens everywhere else), but I thought this clumsy and unnecessary."Tugu Bali: "Amazing!"
"This hotel was the main attraction for our 4 days stay in Canggu. What made this hotel fantastic? - the authentic look and feel throughout the hotel. Be sure to take the short hotel tour, it makes you appreciate your surroundings even more. - The very friendly, attentive and helpful staff who tend to your every need (even before you mention it). For example, on our first day we've encountered a leaking air-vent in the bathroom. When we mentioned this to the staff, the problem was already being fixed because housekeeping had already noticed the problem. - The spacious room (Dedari Suite) with very big and comfortable bed, Bathroom overlooking a carp pond and a plunge pool with comfortable day bed. - All day breakfast on any location you would like - Very tasty local food - Lovely complementary afternoon tea - The sun deck overlooking the ocean - We really enjoyed the architecture and Indonesian artefacts throughout the hotel - The antique shop with its many lovely authentic items - The quaint little museum and the lovely Chinese house temple functioning as a restaurant. All in all we've had a very lovely stay. We've been to Bali several times and we can honestly say that Tugu is one of the best, if not the best hotel we've stayed in. "Tugu Bali: "Great stay!"
Great stay in Canggu on our honeymoon. Canggu is action packed but Tugu is a peaceful old world getaway tucked right behind the action and feet from the beach. Very cool aesthetic and a history within the hotel as well as great food. So quiet and peaceful with amazing rooms and landscaping. Jenny the manager was great and made sure we were set up properly the entire stay! Definitely would stay again!Jing’s Residence: "Made a big mistake only staying one night"
This place was utterly amazing! My family and I stayed here for a quick stop on our way back from Xian to Beijing. We made a big mistake not staying here longer and we will definitely come back for a longer stay. The service staff anticipated every needs we had even escorting my wife to a store to buy some local dates they served. They even helped us bargain a price. After feeling ripped off by the local taxi getting there, they arranged for their hotel van to take us back to the train station. My favorite part was sitting in the courtyard at night and taking in the nice quiet atmosphere.Tugu Lombok: "Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Genuinely"
"Where do I start...Hotel Tugu Lombok is quite simply the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I have travelled a fair amount, both for business and holidays, and I have never stayed anywhere quite as special as Hotel Tugu. In the first night of our stay we actually got engaged here, however engagement aside, I adored this place. The staff are wonderful, every single person. Truly lovely, warm and kind people. I can't say enough good things about them! The setting is stunning with a private beach and clear ocean. The two swimming pools are gorgeous and the restaurants with their views are so quiet and peaceful. Quite simply this hotel is an idyllic oasis of calm where you can truly switch off and relax. The grounds are beautiful and so well cared for with hammocks, seating areas, day beds, etc. We stayed in villa 205 which was gorgeous - a giant four poster bed which was the most beautiful and biggest bed I've ever slept in. The outdoor bathroom was stunning and huge, with a massive tub and the coolest overhead rain shower you'll ever see! Breakfast is delicious and served until late, with gorgeous smoothie bowls - about 10 to choose from. Lots of egg dishes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, juices etc! Every afternoon between 4 and 6pm there is afternoon tea in the gardens which is a wonderful touch with homemade cakes, that change every day. We loved everything we ate for dinner, and there is a new page of specials every evening. You can dine on the beach in amongst lots of candles and it feels so private and special. There are paddle boards, snorkels and kayaks for your use - they've thought of everything! One evening we took bikes and rode to a different beach to watch the sunset. It felt like one of the most special moments ever and was quite simply breathtaking. The locals are lovely and showed us the way so there was never a chance we had could get lost. On our final night while we were at dinner and the staff created what can only be described as animal farm made of towels in our bedroom. It was ridiculously good!!!!! They'd also lined the whole path to our villa with flower petals and candles! To sum up we didn't leave the hotel apart from to cycle to sunset. We stayed 4 nights and I did not want to leave. If I could give this hotel 10 stars I would. It was the most luxurious, relaxed and incredible hotel. Cannot recommend enough."Sanak Retreat Bali: "Un havre de paix au milieu des rizières"
Cet hôtel est absolument magnifique , perdu au milieu des rizières . La vue est juste sublime. Les chambres sont belles et confortables. Le personnel est charmant et très attentif. Le restaurant ne dépare en rien l ensemble, les plats sont beaux , raffinés et excellents.
