Amata Lanna: "Great cozy stay"
Had a wonderful stay at Amata Lanna. We were greeted with excellent service with many smiles. We felt very comfortable and cozy here. Only 12 rooms ensure a boutique experience. It seemed very authentic. Rather than staying directly in Old City, we opted to stay here for a less touristy feel. Short walks (2 blocks) put you at the edge of the old town- where you can find restaurants, massage, laundry, pharmacy, 7-11, etc. Also within 2 blocks is the Anantara hotel which is very upscale (pricey), but has a great “Secret Service” bar and restaurant that we indulged in. Also, the night market is a must see and only 2 blocks as well.MesaStila: "Exceptional experience"
Best of Central/East Java with no doubt. You can chill and relax enjoying a magnificent scenery of the nearby volcanoes and the jungle by the incredible pool, have the perfect massage at a top Spa and have your tea with cake in the afternoon at one of those amazing beds they have at the terraces overlooking the lawn, jungle and sunset. But at the same time, you can enjoy a tour at the Mesastila coffee plantation, a mountain bike tour through the rice fields and make it to the magnificent Borobodour Temple with an elephant ride included. All super nicely organised by the hotel staff. Finally, very nicely set for the children to enjoy too, pool table, chess, croquet for an incredible family holiday. Restaurant is good with best of Indonesia and some good balance with European dishes. No surprise service is at best. Would come back any time. "We found this gem by pure chance and it lived up to all the reviews we found. It has gorgeous surrounds and so many activities. We had 4 families get away for the long weekend and there was something for everyone. Ask for a room with the mountain view, it will accommodate a family of 4-5 easily. We hired a bus which took us to a waterfall for the afternoon which I highly recommend. The staff are incredibly helpful and will sort out any of your requests. The spa is excellent and the walk through the coffee plantation and rice fields are so wonderful. We wish we could have stayed longer. "Tugu Lombok: "Magical in every aspects"
"We could have not chosen a better place to celebrate our special anniversary. We were spoilt from the moment we arrive until the very sad moment we left. All staff without exception went out of their wat to make us feel like royalty and gracious care. Everything about Tugu Lombok was magical. We just loved how they treat their guests like their own family. We stayed here for 4 days and loved it. Our room is so clean and the best part is that the food being served to us when we go back to the hotel after a long tiring day at the temple is tasty! Over all the place itself is magical. We only had two nights in Ubud at the end of our two week Bali holiday but I wish we had longer at Kenanga. What a beautiful peaceful hotel. Amazing rooms, helpful staff and such a nice private location. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
