SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Destined to be Myanmar’s first Michelin star restaurant ?"
"Surely this must be the restaurant to put Yangon and Myanmar’s restaurants on the Michelin map! We dined in the beautiful surroundings and were truly amazed and delighted with a superb meal presented by chef Felix Eppisser and his team. In a country with no professional culinary schools, to create such an amazing menu and meal was simply incredible! We ate from the Elements fixed menu and every course was a true Star rated experience - We have been fortunate to eat in a number of Michelin restaurants throughout the last 12 months in both the UK and Italy including Le Manoir and the 3 Star il Duomo in Alba ( rated in the top 10 restaurants in the world currently)... this meal was up there with the very best! All of the staff were delightful and May our waitress and Felix”s wife Lucia looked after all guests ( and ourselves) with impeccable service. It was inspiring to hear how they are training the future chefs and service staff to capture the true essence of high quality cuisine - all being mentored and trained on site in the restaurant. When Michelin do finally find Myanmar, ( they have not yet ventured here!) I’m sure that this will be a Star contender and worthy champion for this amazing country Thanks to all at Seeds for a memorable end to our holiday in Myanmar Don’t miss the opportunity if you are in Yangon !"Le Calao: "Fabulous location, food, wine and service."
"We discovered this new restaurant which has connections with L'Elephant when we wanted a glass of wine prior to the Storytelling. We were made to feel very welcome and had a glass of delicious New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. We returned the next night for dinner and had a excellent Lao meal in beautifully restored building overlook the Mekon. Portions are generous and only the best vegetables and ingredients are used. Another bottle of the SB was enjoyed. Good sevice with just the right amount of attention. Le Calao has only been open for a couple of months so it was only a quarter full but I am sure one will need to reserve once it is better known."Manda De Laos: "Luxury dinner but good quality"
This was the first restaurant we tried. Perfect for couples with romantic atmosphere. One of the most expensive restaurant in Laos I would say, but the food is worthy.MesaStila: "A hidden treasure"
MesaStila wellness spa is an ideal getaway from the daily routines. The environment is pleasant, the view is gorgeous (I got a direct view of mount Telamaya from my villa), both the management and the crew are fully client service oriented and there are ample of activities prepared for guests throughout the days to keep us occupied, and the daily yoga classes is the winner for me.Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Delicious and beautiful restaurant"
Food is amazing! It's a degustation menu with a lot of plates, each one more exquisitly prepared than the other. Particularly the roasted caramelized pork was unbeatable! The place is beatiful and service quite good. The wine options had good wines for reasonable prices. And the cost: 31 dollar per person! Unbelievable! DO NOT MISS IT !Tugu Bali: "The Epitome of Balinese Excellence"
From the start of our arrival, this resort submerged us into the traditional Balinese culture. We were greeted with fine wine (drinks of choice), a massage, and the beginning of an ancient set of dances that truly displayed the Balinese history that resonates within Tugu. You are able to reserve a reasonable priced dinner in front of the traditional dances or anywhere for that matter within the hotel. Same goes for breakfast, as well as the option to have breakfast at any time during the day(great for late risers and brunch goers). The staff really tries to make you feel like you are at your home away from home and did an amazing job of making us feel as comfortable as possible. Be sure to check out the little beach town of Canggu by yourself or with a guide with Tugu's complimentary bicycles. Bali truly is the Island of the Gods with thousands of temples and a couple within walking distance from Tugu. Our room came with our own swimming pool and a spacious bath tub to give an open and elegant room experience when wanting to stay in. Like I said before, all food can be ordered from anywhere on the grounds as well as complementary afternoon tea or coffee and snacks (4-6pm). There are several other activities to choose from, however, we selected the afternoon Djomoe class that specializes in hand on making of long-established herbal brews that range from everyday energy to cold cures (it worked)! The resort has a grassy beach area that meets the sand with comfy cabanas specific for Tugu guests, perfect for the marvelous Balinese sunsets. We'll be coming back, that's for sure. Recommended for an astonishing stay well worth the price.Slow Villas and Spa: "Everything is perfect here"
On a fairly rustic island, Slow Gili is a modern paradise. Julie the manager was incredibly helpful with talking us through the island and what to see. The rooms are modern, clean and plush. I just wish we had stayed here for longer. Their spa is also fantastic! Highly recommend!Slow Villas and Spa: "Relaxing, privacy, surrounded by nature and friendly staff"
"Great villa, with everything you possibly need! Cannot say anything bad about this location (except from the fact that their price for the boat to go to Bali is way too expensive - go to the harbour and negotiate the price over there!) I love the fact that they use environmentally friendly products! Definitely want to come back!!"Maduzi Hotel: "An heavenly boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok"

"I have reached 50 years old and I can honestly say that this was the best meal I’ve had in my life full of travel and restaurants all over the world. I walked in on my way back from the Monkey Forest, hot and tired, just intending to grab a quick bite and drink. I’m not sure why but I was offered the tasting menu - I said yes, unaware of the price but ready for an adventure. I ordered 5 courses between the regular and vegetarian choices. To my surprise, 7 beautifully presented amuse bouche courses came first - each exciting and delicious. Then a new chef came out with each course to explain it to me. Exceptional service! And the tastes made my mouth soooo happy. To my surprise there were 2 more amuse bouche dishes before dessert arrived. After almost 2 hours, I thought it would never end and I wanted it to never end!!! The last surprise was an entire flight of chocolates and jasmine tea. All of the food was meticulously prepared and incredibly delicious. Lunch cost about $90 CND, which is the priciest lunch I’ve ever had but WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOCAVORE Make a reservation!!!"
