Chakrabongse Villas: "Just one word: unforgetable"

Review by: Duarte2205 | Source: Trip Advisor
In your next trip to bangkok, don't look no further. It's a small paradise in the middle of this crazy tomorrow. An amazing view to the river with a friendly staff. Just a recommendation: if you would like to have a wonderful dinner by the river you need to book in advance.

Mathis Retreat: "Great stay"

Review by: Ste_xx_71 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent four nights at Ubud in Kenanga Hotel during our August visit to Bali & Lombok. This has been our preferred location of our full holiday. Ubud is brilliant and Kenanga absolutely perfect. Once you are in the hotel you are out of the Ubud chaos and you can really relax. Wonderful view and extreme kindness the two top factors. My son (5 years old) enjoyed so much beeing free and look at ducks or walk on the small tracks through the rice fields. Karine, the hotel manager, has been very helpful with a lot of suggestions on how to use at the best our available days. We also tried a cooking lesson organized in the hotel just for us and we really enjoyed it too. The hotel restaurant is very good also for the demanding Italian tastes. Go there !!!"

Supanniga Cruise: "Fantastic boutique dinner cruise experience"

Review by: GandCAdventures | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked the SC as a birthday celebration whilst family were visiting Bangkok (4 adults in total). We booked the Dinner Champagne Tattinger Cruise package which offers a fantastic selection of various dishes following a flute of Tattinger upon boarding. As five-year residents of Bangkok, we had always wanted to experience a Chao Phraya dinner cruise, but had no intention of joining the buffet-style, neon-light-laden barges with over 500 other ""diners"" queing and elbowing our way around a floating eye-sore. In contrast, the SC setup is a very small, boutique, and well-managed operation, with a limited number of diners in a quiet and intimate setting. The top deck offers great uninterrupted views of the passing river and buildings on the banks. The route takes in many of the river's highlights including The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, as well as some of the quieter stretches south of Taksin Bridge. The table service was very attentive, professional (but relaxed) and prompt - there is quite a substantial list of servings to get through in the two hour experience, but the portions are tasty and appropriate. Being fans of the Bangkok outlets of Supanigga, we are aware of the seafood-orientation of the menu, and there was a bit of spice involved in a few dishes, but it is all very nice and very well prepared given the limitations on kitchen (being on a small boat!). The departure from River City is very convenient and well-managed (with booking confirmation phone call earlier in the day). Being able to park in the River City complex is very helpful. We were very excited to see the launch of this endeavour by Supanigga and were very happy and satisfied (and full!) that we chose it for a special occasion. We all thoroughly recommend the experience, and hope to return to take it all in again in the near future."

Villa Song Saigon: "Truly the most beautiful hotel you will ever stay in"

Review by: SurfnPics | Source: Trip Advisor
"What a stunningly beautiful hotel in a truly gorgeous setting next to the Saigon River. We only had 2 nights in HCMC at the end of a two week trip to Vietnam and with the benefit of hindsight would definitely have stayed longer at Villa Song. The hotel is located in District 2, away from the city but close enough not to be a problem for pick ups/drop offs etc from tour operators. We chose the hotel specifically for it's location having done a similar thing in Bangkok where our hotel was located down the river with access to the city provided by shuttle boat. This worked perfectly for us then so we knew we would appreciate the same set up. The only flaw in our plan was allocating 2 nights instead of 4 or 5! We did a full day trip on the Mekong River with Mango Cruises (highly recommended) which didn't leave us much time to enjoy the hotel but what we did experience we loved and would definitely come back with more time to enjoy. Dinner at the restaurant watching the light change over the river with all the beautiful fairy lights decorating the garden was simply spectacular. Food & service was great. Rooms are big and beautifully appointed, good air con, good bathroom although the layout doesn't leave much bench space for toiletries and makeup however that would have been my only disappointment. Breakfast is a la carte with wonderful options on the menu and great coffee included. If we were coming back to Saigon I wouldn't book anywhere but here. Truly one of the highlights in hotel experiences. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Supanniga Eating Room: "Excellent Thai food"

Review by: Mentita | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Thai food here tastes like the home cook food. There is nothing fancy but very satisfying. The portion served is quite small so we did ordered many dishes for share. We love the pineapple and mussel curry as well as the grilled beef. There is also vegetarian menu for one of our friends so that is another plus. The place is quite busy at dinner time so it is better to book ahead."

Tugu Malang: "Excellent service!!!"

Review by: Jens L | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Tugu hotel is a hotel, but at the same time it's also a museum. We stayed here for 2 nights and we had an amazing experience. Because of the low season we could choose our room. The staff was incredible. No question was ever too much to answer and everything was arranged with a smile. Every staff member knew our name and the small talks during breakfast and dinner gave our stay a personal touch. When you stay at the hotel you get a free tour of the hotel/museum and a good explanation of all the artifacts. For us this was a nice bonus, because it helps you understanding some of the history of Java. There are spa facilities and we've booked the 4 hour couples retreat. It was very relaxing: massage, bath with fresh rose petals, scrubbing, manicure, pedicure, washing en drying our hair, tea,... and after all that (really took 4 hours) there was a 4 course dinner, again with some personal touches (all included in the price). What can I say about the food? One word: super! There are so many things to choose from for breakfast and dinner. Local food, street food, western food, chinese food,... Last but not least is the Tea Time Experience in the afternoon. Every day between 16pm and 17pm (or 18pm) you can enjoy a nice cup of tea with fresh made Indonesian snacks. If you stay at the hotel you should certainly try it once. Kept all things in mind this hotel is one of our top 3 of all the hotels we've been in the world! I certainly hope to visit this hotel in the future during one of our next journeys. Thanks to the staff for making this a very pleasant stay. Joni & Jens (J&J)"

Locavore: "Still surprised after reading all the reviews about Locavore"

Review by: Rianbkk | Source: Trip Advisor
"It doesn't happen to me very often, but in this case the atmosphere and expectations raised by the reviews of hundreds of Tripadvisor members did not reflect the genuine experience we had by dining at Locavore. This kind of intro-paragraph will mostly precede a rather negative and contrary viewpoint but in this case I must say the evening we spend here was truly mesmerising. The amuse-bouches were drenched in local flavours even though some fitted on my fingernails. Imagine with that the 'Ashes' cocktail (you will indeed put a burning stick into the concoction, thus releasing a fair bit of ashes in your drink) and culinaire paradise in coming into wide view. The mains - we went for the 7 courses menu - were a mixed bag with caffeinated fish as a weird but surprisingly good part of it. Overall it is the combination of the nouvelle-cuisine presentation on the dishes combined with the exotic, original and authentic taste of local ingredients (chili pepper flowers, anyone?) that made this a very special evening for the both of us. Do try the Balinese coffee at the end. With a total bill of around 2.700.000, including two glasses of excellent Sangiovese, we probably spent more than half the average salary of the people working there, but as this works out at 160 Euro it was money more than well spend."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Third visit to this oasis in the Kerala"

Review by: hazelheart | Source: Trip Advisor
This is an eco hotel that doesn't stint on luxury. Just a dozen or so authentic Keralan bungalows in a coconut grove by the sea. Staff outnumber the guests and deliver first class unobtrusive service. Comfortable roomy beds with high quality bed linen. Exquisite food in both restaurants. Yards from the sea where dolphins swim and locals fish. All staff are dedicated to making sure you are happy with everything. Won't pick out any one as they all deserve a mention. Very good spa also. We will be back again next year!!
