Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay"

"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Pindaya Farm House: "Relaxation!"

Withing easy reach of the Pindaya shrine, this modern farmhouse in a traditional style is a place of calm relaxation, surrounded by pretty countryside, and lovely views from the house. Really nice welcome, excellent food, great room. Loved watching the sunset, and the morning (we tried doing watercolours). Bicycle rides provided.

Satri House: "Colonial splendor a walking distance from the historical center"

Satri House is a charming colonial style hotel in Luang Prabang in a quiet area of the city. It is a walking distance from the historical center and if you wish some bicycles are as well free of charge at your disposal in the hotel. You can just ask for a lock at the reception. The hotel complex is highly elaborated with some charming rooms in the new part of the property in colonial like buildings that look just like they were conceived at the French colonial period. One older building was the official house of the Laos Crown Prince and you can stay there in three suites with antique furnitures. A pond with lotus flowers, many tress give to the place a very romantic touch. A restaurant with a talented Lao female Chef is at your disposal for delicious meals Lao or Western. Breakfast is served there at your convenience. The staff is particularly nice and friendly and will always do their best to assist you. Take time to have a talk with them as they love to practice foreign languages. The managing director is a young european guy who is very welcoming and will help you make your stay unique. Take time to wander around Luang Prabang and enjoy your time in the hotel itself (the place is great for romance ! Keep it in mind)

Yandabo Home: "Great! Wonderful! Brilliant!"

"This is a small hotel right on the river. It's nestled among trees which does mean the inevitable wildlife around you (although we didn't see mosquitos!). The room we had was huge and wonderfully well equipped. The terrace area was comfortable and peaceful. The staff were very helpful and friendly (not always visible but never very far away). For a two night stay to see the villages it is a great base."

Chakrabongse Villas: "Secluded Paradise in a Bustling City"

"Once you enter through the gates, a fairytale world emerges. Around every corner another surprise awaits, orchards by our front gate, or kittens sleeping under the bench, the beautiful sunroom. The commissioned pictures are very accurate. My daughter feel in love with mangosteen fruits, first time we tasted them! Ask Ms. Atom (excellent English) to open the book store for browsing. The cookbook from the Villas' restaurant is a MUST buy--not only for the royal family's cooking recipes but the stunning pictures, an absolutely wonderful souvenir!"

Muang La Lodge: "Séjour Inoubliable"

"Nous venons de séjourner pendant trois jours dans ce lodge et n'avons rien à redire. La manager Raphael gère cet hôtel avec excellence. Grande attention à chacun de ses clients. Notre chambre était spacieuse, propre et décor avec beaucoup de goût. Les repas excellents et les serveuses adorables. Nous vous le conseillons si vous passez dans cette région."

muang la: "What a wonderful oasis"

"Visited very briefly during an extended planned trip and had to be dragged away otherwise we would have quite happily stayed for a lot longer!! Staff couldn't have been more attentive or friendly and every little detail had been thought through thoroughly to make you feel special. Thoroughly recommended"

Flower Island: "A Great Place To Relax"

"I have been to Flower Island a few times and I am always ready to return. The people are very friendly and hospitable and the beaches are among the best I have been to. If you really want to get away from it all and pull up a recliner and read a book surrounded by endless views this is your place. Stayed October 2015, traveled as a couple"

"We stayed only 1 night with friends in suite tents. The place is really what you can see on the website. Just fantastic, no insects, clean place, good food, nice deep private pool not too cold. Will come back when in Bali again"

Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "outstanding"

we recently stopped here as part of our honeymoon , they set up a special candle lite dinners on both nights and the staff are so welcoming , and made us feel so special well done to you all for making this hotel so outstanding .
