Cuca: "Outstanding restaurant"
I took a friend to Cuca on our first night in Bali and we were absolutely wowed by the entire experience, so much so that we returned the following night to try the rest of the menu and double up on a couple of favourites from the previous evening. The ambience and service is top notch but the food is amazing! Hard to describe the mix of flavours, freshness and presentation. Each dish was a photo opportunity and a taste explosion. "The moment you step into the place, you know you are in for a treat and then the food starts coming and it taste like heaven. All the dishes were explained nicely by the waiters and the quantity for the six course was just right. Very nice small resort in a beautiful and preserved site, including a direct access to a magnificent beach. The bungalows are lovely and convenient, with their private pool and outer lounge. The staff and management are both discreet and efficient, always available. Exquisite cuisine too, we didn't expect such high-quality. "We spent a couple of nights here at the end of our trip and it really was excellent. The staff were first class and extremely helpful at all times. The free boat rides into central Saigon are really useful and allow you to explore the sites. Rooms are really well designed and very comfortable. Pool is lovely. Food was good but on the expensive side but all the restaurants in the area are quite dear as the hotel is in the expat area of town. My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel has been opened less than a year and feels immaculate. There are so many positives about this place. The design of the hotel and gardens, the very conscientious staff that make you feel special, the high quality finish of the rooms and the superb breakfasts. The hotel is not crowded and so the swimming pool area is very private we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. A nice touch was a free glass of wine or bubbly during some of our evening meals. There was live music on 3 nights of the five we stayed which we enjoyed. We had a fantastic chef board one evening in the restaurant which was delicious. The only thing that would make this hotel even better would perhaps be spa or massage treatments. There aren't fantastic spas in the area and as the hotel has such pretty gardens that would have been lovely. A wonderful hotel, stay here you won't regret it!GOLDEN BUDDHA BEACH RESORT: "Pure bliss"
"My husband and I stayed at this lovely resort for 5 days at the end of our travels through Thailand and it was an absolute dream! All of the staff were very helpful, welcoming, and instantly made me feel at home. As we rode on the long tail boat to the resort I could start to feel my stress and worries melt away, which continued throughout our time there. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a huge variety. I don't think they offered the same thing twice in the week we were there. The breakfast buffet was heavenly and the best way to start each day. Although I have traveled somewhat extensively, I have never been so sad to leave a resort. "The Apsara is my go to place for trips to Luang Prabang. It has a history (as opposed to the pop up colonial places built nearby in the past few years), excellent staff, and an appropriate level of comfort that's just right for LP. You're on the Nam Khaen, so you avoid a lot of the tourist noise, but you're only a block away. And their kitchen is good, too. Stayed September 2016"Heritage Suites: "Simply the Best"
Spent three nights at the Heritage Suites Hotel in August 2017. From the moment you arrive you will not be disapointed!! We stayed in a Bungalow Suite which even has it's own steam room. The food is fantastic and is one of the best Restaurant in Siem Reap. We also did the ATV private bike tour, which was a little bit expensive. The Spa is also excellent and well worth a visit. However, what makes this Hotel is the Staff a true credit to the Hotel.....
