Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful location, excellent service"
"Spent six nights at Tugu Lombok and can thoroughly recommend it. The beach location is fantastic and the staff at the hotel couldn't do enough for us. If you want a real get-away-from-it-all holiday it would be hard to beat, you can just enjoy the views, swim and laze. But if you want more activity you can go on excursions - the snorkelling trip to the Gilis is probably essential for most, but we did decide against the trekking! The rooms are amazing, we had our own 'bungalow' with a huge double bed, veranda for sitting outside and a small private courtyard if required. But best of all was the bathroom open to the outdoors! The restaurants offer great food and plenty of variety, and we must thank the staff for their friendliness, and helpful service, they made us feel very welcome. The last night send-off was most unexpected and touching. We've stayed in some lovely places but this is hard to beat. "Slow Villas and Spa: "A very private and very chic hideout that is difficult to beat"
"We stayed in Slow Vilas last week of July 2016. Tucked away in a more remote part of Gili Air, Slow was the perfect place that combines desert-island and experience with locals and the highest quality of comfort, local antique furnishing and charm. We felt Slow was right at the other end of the spectrum of an impersonal resort, where everything is designed to work with the local community, local taste and eco-friendliness. The hard-working expat' Julie running the place has a strong enough personality to transmit her energy and passion for her desert-island project / concept into her guests ; while making sure that everything is run to the highest standards to keep everyone happy. This is truely one not to be missed. Island-bliss..."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Relax on the river, marvel at the mangroves, unwind in the waterfall"
"We drove five hours from the vibrancy of Phnom Penh to the peace of Tatai and the 4 Rivers - polar opposites. With no wifi, we abandoned the outside world for three days and sank into the luxury and tranquility of this mini resort. With just 12 lodges, and a whole river to yourselves, there is no option but to relax and unwind. We kayaked, swam, had a go at stand up paddle and took a couple of good tours; one to kayak through the mangroves, and the other (my favourite) to visit the Tatai Waterfall. The food throughout was excellent. Service very attentive. You emerge refreshed and ready to take on the rest of your journey. Great to know that the project is working so hard as a force for good in the local area too."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Beautiful and Serene"
"This place surpassed our already high expectations ! Some of things that took our breath away - A vast secluded CLEAN beach, Clean sea water, Dolphins swimming. Even the interiors of the resort are beautiful. The rooms are rustic on the outside and modern and comfortable comparable to any 5-7 star property. The bathrooms are beautiful beyond imagination. The resort uses plastic minimally and lives up to its green promise. Infinity pool is gorgeous (...) The library deserves a special mention. Its not some randomly put together library but cleverly chosen selection of literature. It would have been great to have some Indian books for young readers as this resort attracts a lot of family crowd as per our experience. Staff deserves special mention as they were generous and friendly but same time non intrusive. We can't wait to go back as we already feel drawn towards the place once again."Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic stay"
"My wife and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Hotel Tugu Lombok. The environment was quiet and serene, the beach was clean and the water was clear. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They remembered our names and greeted us by our names. For the meals, they also prepared well wishes written on leaves which made the ambience nice. During the trip, as there were heavy rains, the original suite that we were staying in experienced some water leaking issue from the roof. However, the staff was quick to settle it and provided us a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite. We also had fun visiting the Gili islands. The private dragon boat and private guides gave us the flexibility on when and what we would like to do during the island hopping. The bendi ride (horse cart ride) was also a new experience for us. On the last night of our stay, the staff also prepared us a surprise with nice towel foldings of different animals, like monkey, elephants and bears. Coupled with the candles, the room gave a different ambience altogether. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tugu Lombok and we recommend it for those who wish to have a quiet and serene stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Samanea Beach Resort: "It’s gorgeous place!"
Manager who was very kindly friendly with their guests. The room look like older but seems to be based traditional structure of the local citizen. The outside bathroom is definitely a unique feature. The resort was very silence that you could heard some songs from insects in night time hi hi hi. The beach that where you maybe swim but watch sunrise or sunset then that is a great experience. The long wharves that made me better feeling as on the sea by my foot. The food was so good. There are not many rooms in this resort with their large site, almost of them for tree, swimming pool. With kindly noted, the resort must control better against mosquito. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.Misool Eco Resort: "Wonderful vacation"
"We visited for 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The diving was exceptional. My wife and I have about 80 dives from Fiji, Bali and the Caribbean, so we are experienced but not experts. The dive team was fantastic and the sites themselves were the best we have been to by far. All close by. The resort does much more than talk about ""eco"" . They are dedicated and it shows in almost all that goes on. Food was great, accommodations were comfortable and the staff is very helpful, I went and got a pot of coffee the first morning to bring back to our porch and the next day they brought it to us at 6:30 am. It is not a luxurious, stuffy, place but very comfortable and unique in the world. We had water cabin 5 and I think it would be my choice in the future because it is sheltered from the afternoon sun but my wife thought water cabin 8 would be preferable because it is a little more private ( it gets the sun in the afternoon though) We will go back sometime for sure."Maduzi Hotel: "An heavenly boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok"

A lovely heaven in Bangkok for the ones who like to be pampered.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A little piece of paradise above Pokhara"
Stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Nepal and it was the highlight of the trip. Having stayed here in 2011 I was looking forward to my return visit and was not disappointed. The staff, as ever, were fantastic. Marcus was extremely helpful, going out of his way to help a couple of our group who were ill (illness contracted at previous places NOT at Tiger Mountain!). The choice of activities on offer is excellent, the food wonderful, the lodges superb - I'm looking forward to a return visit. I can't recommend this place highly enough.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
