muang la: "Dream Boutique Hotel in Great Location"

"The trip to this resort from Luang Prabang is defintely worth doing. The rooms are fantastic with great views and a fantastic pool. The service is 5 star and charming and Rui the General Manager was really friendly and could not do enough to make our stay memorable. The food each night was fantasic and we loved the tasting menu approach -breakfasts were also great. Our best day was the visit to 3 hill tribes in the mountains, with a brilliant local guide. We brought balloons for the kids who were really pleased, had a picnic at a local school and even visited the local Shamens hut. In the last village there wasno photography as the villagers still believe it ""steals your soul""! When we came back to the hotel, we walked across the bridge and took a punt back across the river, visited the local monastry where we got a blessing from a local monk and had a beer at a small hut hanging over the river. Local village and market are also a short walk from the hotel. All in all this place was faultless and a trip here twinned with Luang Prabang is a superb holiday (althiygh Luang Prabang will feel touristy after here). Bassac Cruises: "Relaxing way to see the countryside and river"

"We booked a one night cruise and struck lucky as we were the only passengers on board. Even the 4 hour transfer on the first day was soon forgotten when we had lunch on board and cruised along the river and canals. In the afternoon we had a walk around the countryside and sampled some fruit. Everything was explained perfectly by An who gave us a lesson in everything Vietnamese, history, economy, education, social services, you name it, she explained it all to us. Back on board we had a drink followed by dinner. After a nightcap we retired to the small but comfortable a air conditioned cabin with ensuite. Early to rise, we had breakfast on board before transferring to a smaller boat for the final tours of local sugar factory, floating market and rice cake making. Again, expertly explained by An, we sadly said our goodbyes to face the 2 1/2 hour transfer back to Saigon. This was a great way to get to know a piece of the real Vietnam."

Satri House: "Stunning"

"On entering the beautiful building we were immediately welcomed by staff with drinks and information on the grounds and surroundings. We were shown round the picturesque hotel which also had 2 very lovely swimming pools. The rooms were stunning with lots of space. Breakfast at the hotel was great , although some may like a buffet they went with a more a la carte approach which never the less was delicious. The hotel is just 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the hotel even let you use bikes for free to get around quicker and take in more of the beautiful surroundings. I would recommend anyone to stay in this hotel as the staff, rooms, location , food and hotel grounds are 5 star! Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Locavore: "A must-experience in Ubud"

My husband and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Locavore during our honeymoon to Bali just two weeks ago. Not only is the food incredible and service superb, but the local ingredients provide such an amazing introduction to the place, time and history of this part of the world. We enjoyed dinner at Locavore on our first night in town and it colored the entire trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we stopped in at The Rooster (their bar across the street) and Locavore To Go (their grab-and-go spot just a few doors down) over the next few days. Do not miss this spot on your trip. Worth every single penny.

The Island Lodge: "Chill out space extraordinaire"

You know that feeling of leaving a perfect place and grieving for that experience? Well, that is how we feel right now. The Island Lodge provided us with much needed healing and relaxation from the stresses of our work, health issues and our lives in the 'rat race'. The world is becoming a harder place but The Island Lodge provides a respite from all of that. Thank goodness for such a place. We spent most of our time outside or on our balcony watching the river life - a busy artery of interest and diversity. The breakfast was personalised - no buffet. Beautiful basket full of breads, a variety of juices, eggs to suit and more. Dinner and a nice wine list enhanced the open wall dining area so we could still see the river! Pool was the perfect temperature for me. A comment about the staff - they were gracious, polite and seemed to be able to predict your needs. Thank you to all.

Reverie Siam Pai: "Wonderful 2 night stay"

We had an amazing stay here, highly recommended from the lovely mountain view room to the lovely breakfasts and dinners. The staff were so friendly and welcoming I would not hesitate to recommend this resort.

"We stayed here with our young family for one night. The guides were amazing, food was great and the Accomodation was very good - a nice family glamping tent. A great all inclusive way to see Yala. Highly recommended! Stayed February 2017, traveled with family"

Villa Song Saigon: "Absolutely splendid & luxurious"

We selected this hotel for our final night in Vietnam and to celebrate our anniversary. It seemed a long way from the airport initially, but really it is quite close to the city centre and the hotel provides regular transport for guests. We splurged on an art suite and it was so beautiful that we wished we could have stayed longer, much longer. The staff were so kind and in our room we found a lovely little surprise to help us mark our special occasion. How thoughtful. The location of the hotel overlooking the river is beautiful and we were so impressed with the decor, the staff, the restaurant and the facilities. Our room was superb in every detail and we were given the opportunity to take a boat ride from the hotel's dock to the city - great fun. A fantastic stay.

Sandat Glamping Tents: "Geweldige glamping ervaring!"

De accommodatie ligt iets uit het centrum van Ubud tussen de prachtige rijstvelden. Overdag tot 22:00 is er een gratis shuttle service naar het centrum. Perfect geregeld. De hutjes zijn super mooi en ruim. We zijn zelfs 1 nacht in een luxe tent verbleven met een prive zwembad die uitzicht heeft op de jungle! Heel gaaf! Ontbijt is top! Service is uitstekend! Heerlijk verblijf gehad! Echt aan te raden!! Neem ook een yoga lesje met uitzicht op de rijstvelden. Heerlijk!!
