MesaStila: "Java at its best"
"MesaStila is one of those places that blows you away. So many things about our trip far exceeded our expectations. The food was awesome. The rooms are beautiful. A highlight was the Easter Egg painting hunt that the staff ran for our two little boys. Yokyo (maybe not correct spelling) was sweet and made sure our little ones felt special. Thank you. We hope to be back. "Tugu Bali: "Astounding"
First off this hotel is magical in every way visually, ultimate Bali. What your dream version of Bali might be before you ever come here. Ever room is massive and filled with real art. But the grounds are the real gem here. If at all possible the Le Mayeur suite is one of the most astounding rooms I've ever seen in any suite on the entire planet. And for the price of a good hotel room in most places the suite is beyond worthy particular if your looking for something romantic. Good service as well! Highly highly highly recommended. The Village House: "Super!"
Me and my wife stayed there for 3 days, the first days of our honeymoon. It was one of the best accommodation of our Malaysian trip, it was super! Very relaxing and quiet! The staff was very helpful and the food is very good. The room is simple but very cool and romantic, the bath clean and... most of all you're in the jungle We recommend it! ;-)Rachamankha: "Absolutely perfect!"
"This is a beautiful, wonderful oasis. Every single detail has been thought through in this serene, beautiful place. It whispers luxury, but - as a welcome change - doesn't shout it. I want to package it all up, and take it home! We lived in China for many, many years, and being here felt like coming 'home', only better. The Rachamankha has the ambience of a very old Chinese courtyard home/hotel, but with the convenience of a new one. I thought it WAS old, but learned that it was built in only 2004! The ornamentation (spectacular screen doors, statuary in every courtyard) is all old, though. And stunningly beautiful. You will also see a smattering of gorgeous Thai antiques adorning the walls and public areas. Don't miss the library. Or the pool. Or the outdoor, covered 'lobby' lounge area. The only disappointing thing about this lovely spot is that you have to leave it to explore the many attractions of Chiang Mai. But they're all close, and you've got this oasis to return to at the end of your day. Oh, and (I almost forgot to mention, because it really goes without saying) the service is wonderful -- unobtrusive, attentive, and friendly. Sigh. We're checking out this morning..... Enjoy!"Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "There is more to see than leopards"
"An efficient and comfortable campsite in Yala Park. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and the food prepared is varied and in great quantity at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location of the meal moves around the camp, so there is always a new view. There seems to be almost as much wildlife in and around the camp as there is in the park, with water monitors below the walkways, all kinds of birdlife in the bushes and trees and elephants visiting to the edge of the camp. We visited blocks 1 and 5 and yes, we did see a couple of leopards in block 5, but for me the glory was the stunning birdlife and incredible scenery of block 1. An excellent 2-3 night break. Room Tip: Go for the luxury tent (tusker) if you can."Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Beautiful grounds and great staff"
The grounds are simply beautiful! Incredibly peaceful and lush surroundings with an incomparable staff. It's a pretty small resort, so the staff were incredibly attentive. We had fried frangipani flowers as an appetizer, and loved them so much that they made us more!MesaStila: "Excellent, Friendly Resort"
"It's a village so it's not in the middle of town but absolutely worth finding. From the time you check in, until you finally have to hand back the key, MesaStila pampers you up & down, in & out. The staff at the resort were the friendliest has we ever encountered. Everyone from the greeter at the gate, the check in staff, restaurant wait staff and spa/pool staff were so welcoming. Up and down the hills, the team will help you get around in their activities. Hiking, coffee plantation, yoga and various activities are available to tire you out. Go ahead and get tired. The room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable Room amenities include the robes and sundries you'd expect in a property of this calibre so it ends up being the staff that makes MesaStila such a great place to stay. It was a very relaxing trip and we will definitely be back! cheers!"TIGER MOUNTAIN POKHARA LODGE: "One of my favourite places on Earth"
"We arrived to grey weather and the welcome was as warm as ever! Every single one of the staff here are smiling and welcoming, they treat you like very special guests and the service is wonderful! The chalets each have 2 rooms, so very private...the ""wake ip call"" come with a person serving you tea or coffee as ordered the night before...today was early because the mountains"" are here""... So in order to enjoy the view you get up really early, it is worth it! The food here is scrumptious, be it Nepali or western...one tends to indulge... "Maison Polanka: "Indeed an Oasis"
Fantastic service, great food, amazing people. No words can describe what this place had given us. It made us feel like home. The garden is so lovely and the great cuisine made us impressed. We sure do recommend this place.Inle Princess Resort: "Wonderfully relaxing"
We felt at home as soon as we arrived at this lovely resort. We had a lake view chalet close to the boat dock but there was no noise disturbance as boats are not allowed to use power engines when approaching the resort. The room was spacious and had everything that we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah and taking in the lovely views. The resort handicraft centre is great if you want to try your hand at pottery, Shan paper making, weaving or a range of other handicrafts. The food is very good and the service excellent.
