Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Great dining experience"

A great dining experience with a good degustation menu - a unique Thai-influenced menu with great wine pairings. Sadly located in a hidden back lane in the city. I had trouble trying to locate the place and found my way walking there a little unsafe.

Muang La Resort: "Hidden Gem"

After a dreadful drive from Luang Prabang we arrive at the Muang La Resort. This is a delightful place situated next to the Nam Phak river with wonderful views from the rooms.They even have two goats and a wonderful hot spring fed hot tub. Food and drinks are excellent. Well worth a visit

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Great fine dining in Yangon"

Together with Le Planteur this is the best fine dining in Yangon. We went here for an early Saturday lunch. The business set lunch menu is priced at a good level. Affordable for frequent visits. I chose the Norwegian salmon entry and beef stew as main course. Wife selected the scallop soup and ravioli. All dishes were tasty and good. Also plenty of really nice bread and a taste of pumpkin soup were served. All in all a really good food in beautiful location, scenery and decor. Wish Seeds could tone down their rediculous organic focus which is not very suitable in a country depending on sustainable agriculture growth and where deforestation is an issue. Nevertheless, we hope to come back again soon for another great lunch or dinner experience.

NEELESHWAR HERMITAGE: "Idyllic Ayervedic break by the Arabian Sea"

This is a wonderful place to rejuvenate: attractive, comfortably furnished cottages, welcoming & helpful staff, excellent food prepared by highly skilled chef, superb treatments organised to address specific needs all set in a beautiful location. Excellent library. Great trips & events e.g Theyam, birdwatching, ashrams & temples.

If you are looking for a restaurant with amazing food and great atmosphere, it is THE place! The food looks astonishingly good and tastes wonderfully ! You can count on the great team in the kitchen, they will not let you down!

The Village House: "Gorgeous hotel!"

"Such a beautiful hotel! So incredibly relaxing to spend time here. We loved the hammocks and reclining chairs with the view of the pool. The gardens are lovely, and the decor is really interesting. Nice rooms too! The whole place is romantic, relaxing, dreamy. The eight course ""Taste of Borneo"" was a memorable last night in this beautiful oasis. We booked a sunset wetlands tour. Gorgeous sunset skies, everything still and peaceful. We saw dolphins and proboscis monkeys, and after dark, spooky crocodiles, and an abundance of fireflies. Also arranged by the hotel, we went to the nearby cultural village. We'd cynically expected a Disneyfication but it was wonderful and very interesting. Stayed March 2017, traveled with friends"

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing Safari – we loved it"

"A big thank you to Sajith and the team at Leopard Safaris, we stayed here as Part of our honeymoon trip around Sri Lanka and we were not disappointed, we were even presented with a chocolate cake to share with the camp. The food for every meal was traditional Sri Lankan food and it was great to try lots of new dishes. We stayed in the Tusker tent which was brilliant there was so much space in the room, air con, safe, and the open air shower was brilliant. It's so well built if your not a fan of camping this is room for you as it's basically a five star bungalow. Getting up at 4:45am for the early morning safaris was a bit hard, but getting all of the great sightings of the animals especially the baby elephants and leopards. Sajith is and extremely knowledgable bird and wildlife guide and a brilliant photographer too, so if you have any questions he will be happy to help. I managed to get some brilliant photos and I was using a pretty basic Nikon camera I have uploaded on here so if your keen on photography you will love it. Everyone we stayed with in the camp were also lovely especially Terry and Jo which made the whole experience brilliant. If you are thinking of going on a safari in this area stay here as these guys really know how to look after you, track and view all the amazing wildlife that live in Sri Lanka! Cuca: "Dinner"

We had dinner at Cuca our first night in Bali. We stayed at the Kayumanis Jimbaran and the restaurant was literally next to the resort so it was really convenient to get to. We both had the chefs tasting menu and a few cocktails. The presentation was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. The value for the tasting menu is incredible. The rice tempura soft shell crab and the meat and potatoes were our favorite dishes. We would highly recommended!

David’s Kitchen: "Fantastic dining at David’s"

"I had the pleasure of visiting David's Kitchen on a solo trip this past week. The food was lovely, the service was very attentive and as many reviewers noted David himself is a real pleasure - much appreciated his warm and engaging welcome particularly as I had no one but my bag as a dinner companion! I cannot rave enough about the spicy fish salad with green apple. Spicy with the right amount of acidity, I seriously considered ordering another serving to go. Would love to return soon to try out more the items on the menu. "

Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "A brilliant fusion of modern french with Thai flavours"

"Food at Le Du was quite exquisite. A simple menu with about 12 dishes in total spread across 4 courses. Each course has 3 dishes and you select each one for each of the 4 courses. The wine menu is extensive with reds from Portugal an interesting selection. Fusing modern French culinary dining with a Thai twist by adding subtle flavors of Thailand really made the dishes unique and stand out. I generally find Thai food too overbearing sometimes being too sweet, too salty, or both on most occasions. Even the top ranked restaurants like Nahm the food is horrendously salty to be almost unpalatable. Gaggan can sometimes be equally overkill on the salt. But at Le Du for once I was always looking forward to the next dish to taste how the chef gently infused Thai flavors into the his creations and almost on all occasions he delivered. I thought the desserts failed to carry the brilliance all the way through to the end with the cheesecake dish tasting and looking like it was from BreadTalk with a scoop of ice cream added. Unfortunate considering the previous 3 dishes were outstanding. Will definitely give the restaurant another try when they change their menu. "
