The Cabochon Hotel: "A little Oasis in Bangkok"
"A wonderful stay in a good location with a 10 minute walk to 2 sky train stations. Welcoming and charming in a time warp back to the French 1920's style with great detail and awesome real local food and well priced. Little nooks to have breaky, read and chill were great as was the relaxing pool area. This is an 8 room hotel that can cater to about 16 rooms, truly unique, our room / lounge was superb. We felt like we were staying at friends and with a warm goodbye wave from the GM and staff on the steps confirmed this. Totally helpful staff and English spoken by all made life easy."Locavore: "Impressive servings"
Going to Locavore is like being at one of your favorite high-end restaurants. They offer food served in ways that you don't consider yourself. They played with ingredients and served it in their lovely place in Ubud. I was surprised by the match between the cocktails and food + the surprise snacks that were served. We recommend going all-in if you visit this place.Tugu Lombok: "A truly original gem"
"The resort is set on a beautiful and quiet peninsula of Lombok, with a great private beach. Everywhere you look there are antiques, artefacts and ancient buildings which have been restored to former glory - like something we've never seen before! The villas are very spacious and having a personal carp pond is a really unique addition. We have the fondest memories of Tugu from the incredible setting, to the warm service and not mention the impressive towel art skills :) "Sea Dance Resort: "Excellent from start to end"
Excellent Service! Great location; quite and private; at the same time close to all the hustle and bustle of Samui. Excellent food. Excellent Rooms! Very nice people... Overall highly I highly recommend Sea Dance!Reverie Siam Pai: "Stunning"
This is an absolute gem, if you want to have a relaxing stay at a stunning hotel resort then do yourself a favour and book a room here. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food is out of this world, there's normally live, relaxing music being played while you sit having your meal or enjoying a cocktail in the most comfortable seats going. I cannot rate this place highly enough, we will enjoy a return visit, hopefully this year. Go on treat yourself.Chakrabongse Villas: "Wonderful stay!"
We loved this place! It was gorgeous and calm, and the managers are extremely friendly and professional. We enjoyed falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the river right outside our door, and loved the excellent location right next to the grand palace and wat Arun. I'd love to come back at some point in the future. Highly recommend!Tugu Lombok: "Fantastic stay"
"My wife and I had a wonderful honeymoon at Hotel Tugu Lombok. The environment was quiet and serene, the beach was clean and the water was clear. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. They remembered our names and greeted us by our names. For the meals, they also prepared well wishes written on leaves which made the ambience nice. During the trip, as there were heavy rains, the original suite that we were staying in experienced some water leaking issue from the roof. However, the staff was quick to settle it and provided us a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite. We also had fun visiting the Gili islands. The private dragon boat and private guides gave us the flexibility on when and what we would like to do during the island hopping. The bendi ride (horse cart ride) was also a new experience for us. On the last night of our stay, the staff also prepared us a surprise with nice towel foldings of different animals, like monkey, elephants and bears. Coupled with the candles, the room gave a different ambience altogether. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tugu Lombok and we recommend it for those who wish to have a quiet and serene stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Sandat Glamping Tents: "WOW!! THE BEST HOTEL I’VE EVER STAYED IN!"
"Well what can I say, it was such an amazing experience I cried I was that overwhelmed. What beautiful, kind and caring people who actually meant it. Tengo the manager was by far my favourite who was so kind he made me cry at breakfast, I gave him the biggest hug when we left :) We was sadly only here for 3 days :( and had so much booked we didn't spend as much time at the hotel as we would of liked. I say hotel because it's far too lovely to be called glamping :) I had a yoga lesson first thing in the morning which was breath taking over looking the rice fields and a great teacher who corrected you when you were out of place. I also had a massage in my room which was the best massage I've ever had. We ate here twice and both times the food was superb along with their cocktails and wine and such a stunning setting, the owner really does have amazing taste, shabby chic but with immense attention to detail. The waitress's were also lovely and so sweet, would do anything for you. People moan about the location, but it clearly states it's not in the centre and offers a free shuttle bus which is basically a private taxi to 2 drop off points so really no need to moan there. We had a lovely driver one day who took us to the waterfall, holy temple and coffee plantation which I'd highly recommend. We got the shuttle to the monkey forest one day, if you're not scared do try and buy some bananas to feed them, it's a great experience when they jump on your shoulders, amazing creatures. The hotel offered to book the mount batur trip for us which is a MUST but i'd advise booking in the town, it's a quarter of the price and you get to do this with a group which is much more fun, keep in mind you have to be quite fit and there are no loos once you start climbing, but one of the best experiences of my life, incredible and breath taking views. Breakfast was beautifully laid out and they will cook you any eggs you like, omelette, pancakes, scrambled etc, some great healthy options too including bee polen for your cereal. Now if you are scared of creatures this place is not for you and they state that on their site, I loved it and really enjoyed the frogs hopping around and beautiful geckos, but they will be in your bathroom and may even visit at dinner, but hey this is why this is called glamping, you're in with nature and I think it's fantastic but like I said if if you're scared it's not for you. The rooms are out of this world with stunning furniture and outside bathroom and your pool which is shared or your own depending what you book is right outside your room which is great. I honestly can't express to you enough what an unbelievable experience this really was and was a sad moment to leave such a unique and beautiful place, I will defiantly return as Ubud completely stole a piece of my heart!"Maison Polanka: "It’s even more beautiful the 2nd time around"
I consider this my home in Siem Reap. Everything about this place is pure magic. From the whole ambiance and the garden, the rooms, the pool, and most of all the restaurant, everything is simply exquisite! The owner Nathalie is a sweetheart, her and her staff are one of the warmest people you will ever meet there in Siem Reap. They arrange trips for you and make sure you are taken cared of even if you are outside the premises. I love love love love Maison Polanka, I'm so grateful to have been there.Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing safari experience"
"Where can I start?! This place is amazing!!!! The safari itself: saw every animal we were told we would, very knowledgable guides who have such a passion for the animals and are just as excited and keen to see the wildlife as the tourists are. (Praneet and Di Lanka- we love you!) amazing close encounters, comfortable jeep rides with no nausea or any feeling of discomfort at all, we were asked which location of the park we would like to visit, our wishes were always taken into account and the guys just want to please you.... And they are so genuine. A cool box with beers and soft drinks accompany you on safari. The camp: amazing well equipped tents, that are absolutely everything you need, hot shower on request, proper toilet and flush, nice clean and fresh towels, bath mat and all the little luxuries- even shampoo and shower gel are provided. Pathways lit and easy to get about, amazing bar area with bean bags, a fabulous place to chill and have a glass of wine! The food: AMAZING!!! We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of food, we have eaten in 5* restaurants, and we can genuinely, genuinely say that the camp have provided the best food we have ever tasted. A big thank you to the chef. The guys explain what everything is, how to eat it etc. The staff can cater for any dietary requirements as long as they know beforehand. We never went hungry or thirsty!! The staff: the staff are out of this world. They are so smiley, genuinely happy and want to make your experience the best it can be. Thank you to Praneet, Di Lanka and Silva for making our stay with you incredible. The facilities here are incredible, if I had children I would not have any doubts about taking them: any age, their needs would be fully met. This trip was worth every penny..... Would We go back, YES!!!!"
