"We stayed here for 3 nights during a bit of a tour of Thailand. The hotel was absolute perfection. Arriving following the 3 hour bus trip from Chiang Mai, we were greeted with a lovely cold juice and shown to our room, which was beautiful. Overlooking the natural looking swimming pool and mountains beyond, the room had a tranquil feel to it with high end furnishings and a roll top bath. Food was fantastic and served in the small restaurant overlooking the gardens. A special mention has to go to the staff; service was second to none, while still relaxed. Being on the outskirts of Pai meant that it was nice and quiet, but the hotel ran a shuttle when you needed it, so it was easy to get in and out. I stayed in the Garden suite which has a private pool and open air bathroom, along with a private garden and Koi pond...it was one of the most luxurious and lovely hotel stays of my life! Every detail was carefully crafted for my arrival. It was my birthday the day I arrived, and the staff had prepared a special cake and flower arrangement for me in my room. Not to mention that every night there was a simple yet beautiful Balinese offering of frangipani flowers with woven palm leaves and a poem on my bed. The private pool with swing was so enjoyable after a nice day at the beach, and the bathroom with private spa tub was almost like being in a private spa. The breakfast was delicious, the hotel surroundings itself beautiful and serene. Next door you have the beach and several restaurants and boutiques and massage places, and it is still removed from the craziness of Kuta and Seminyak. "6 notti al Tugu.....all'arrivo un problema sulla sistemazione camera......pronta a ripartire.....ma la gentilezza di Hanny manager della struttura , mi ha dissuaso....quando s'incontrano persone come lei , si viene disarmati...il suo sorriso , le sue capacità , il suo occhio vigile sono determinanti. Dopo 3 gg infatti mi ha cambiato camera con una super suite ! Il resort è veramente un museo , con una incredibile raccolta di oggetti antichi , ogni particolare merita di soffermarsi a guardare. La struttura è in una posizione incantevole , una spiaggia ben attrezzata , acqua stupenda , molte attività...io ho preso la loro barca , bellissima per fare un giro alle Gili...merita ! This is a peaceful and tranquil spot, views of the river and surrounding mountains are stunning. Sunrise over the water was mesmerising. Chamapasak is a sweet little town and Wat Phou, an enchanting temple complex, is a short moped ride away. Loved every course! Even though I'm not an adventurous eater, I was starting to feel full by the 3rd course cos I ate everything. The wait staff were attentive and prompt but not intrusive. After dessert, the chef brought a fruit plate personally and explained each fruit which was very nice.
