Our stay was intensely amazing, the team at Slow is extremely professional and friendly and helpful. We felt at home from the minute we stepped in. I will be back to Gili Air just to stay at Slow. Thank you to all the team!

The Village House: "Fabulous retreat-you must stay here"

Review by: Emily T | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed at The Village house in mid August this year (2015), and we loved every minute of our stay. The rooms are luxurious, wonderfully comfortable and thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. The hotel itself is stunning, everything has been done for you to effortlessly enjoy the stunning surroundings and allow you to fully relax. We took lots of trips from The Village House, all of which were excellent and extremely hassle free. We ate in the restaurant every day and never had a bad meal, again a really thoughtfully put together menu and everything was fabulous. The greatest accolade goes tot eh staff, they are amazing, made us feel very welcome and at home, fantastic experience."

Tugu Bali: "Idyllic"

Review by: Jane W | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is a serene and gracious hotel, filled with beautiful examples of Indonesian art and culture. So, while we went there for peace and relaxation, we enjoyed an introduction to the history and habits of Indonesia. The entire staff was always accommodating and always smiling -- from the manager Jenny to the welcoming personnel to the dining staff to the massage therapists. They all made us feel special and comfortable and at home. The dining experiences were more than I had expected. Japanese, Chinese, traditional Indonesian dishes were so delicious and beautifully presented. The spa treatments were luxurious and superb! And it seemed the gardens enveloped me in their calm and beauty. This is one of those very special hotels in the world that I will always remember."

Tugu Malang: "We loved this gem of a hotel"

Review by: MunichEricJ | Source: Trip Advisor
"The hotel is stunning in its beauty. Really one of the most attractive- on- the- inside hotels I have ever been in, with light, rock, water, plantings and museum- quality antiques and artistic pieces which bring the history and culture of Java to life. There are non- Java items too, among them a 3,200 year- old Shang Dynasty sculpture. After a very friendly check- in (there is nothing like an Indonesian smile), we were shown to room 222, a large room with a four- post bed adorned with beautiful wood carvings. There was an in- room safe, mini- fridge with Bintang beers and a large work desk with convenient desk- height power outlets. The room was rich with teak wood and the wood floors were nice underfoot. If you don’t like going barefoot they provide nice batik slippers. Plenty of closet / hanger space and room for luggage too, much appreciated. The room was very quiet, except when the day- long procession of banner- waving motor scooters celebrating the local Arema football heroes went constantly past the hotel! It was great fun watching the procession from the coffee house and sipping on Bintangs.. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower room. The toilet had a built- in bidet feature, not exactly like the Toto Washlet you might be familiar with-- this was rather a simple affair with a curved water tube and a manual faucet handle on the side. It worked just fine. There is also a small hands- washing sink there. The shower / tub was huge, round, and of hammered metal. You could fit more than two adults in the tub (if you wished.) The sink was also hammered metal and had a ringing sound as the water dribbled in, very nice. The bedding was very comfortable and we slept soundly. The breakfast menu featured American, Indonesian, Chinese, Malang Street Food, Healthy and “Romantic” options. I enjoyed the fried egg covered with melted cheese on top of ham / croissant. The oatmeal included fresh fruit and crispy coconut on top, delicious. The coffee comes from their own Java coffee plantation. Service was great. The restaurant was excellent. It was beautiful, with indoor / outdoor seating and separated from the pool by plants. The menu was extensive: 170 regular food items – not counting drinks - plus a special menu with another 12 or so items. Indonesian, Dutch, Italian, Malang Street Food, Chinese, sandwiches, salads, Aussie and local steaks, from Wagyu to basic. Our food was excellent. The restaurant is open 24 hours, so when we needed to have breakfast at 05:30 on our departure day, there was no issue at all. All the early Mt. Bromo hikers can fill up before the climb. The location is very good, a short 450m from the train station (you can take the Malioboro Express from Jogja in comfort), 320m from the Bird Market / Flower Market and 1.4km from the very impressive and beautiful boulevard of Dutch Colonial houses (and many nice ones leading up to it. Malang is at 450m altitude and situated between mountains gets nice breezes channeled through which are cooler and less humid than central Java. We took a hotel- sponsored bike tour. It was on a Sunday, and they close many of the most attractive boulevards to auto traffic, so we had a very pleasant ride through parts of Malang we would never have made it to on our own. The beautiful Dutch Colonial homes were something to see, nestled amongst palm trees and lush plantings. Our tour guide, Sigit, made sure that we were safe at all times (no small thing in Indo city traffic!) and knew the area very well. The bikes were in good condition and they had loaner helmets. The hotel has my highest recommendation."

Tugu Bali: "Amazing"

Review by: Mickey A | Source: tripadvisor.com
"What a superb property. Only 21 rooms, built on wooden structures and with great ethnic feel. The service is amazing and so is the food. There is direct access to the beach and the beach side garden is great to lounge in with tonnes of space. At night dinner can be served in this garden. Try it. The place is full of antique statues and is a photographers delight. The property is flush with greenery and water bodies. Loved it."

CABOCHON: "Great service"

"Cute hotel, a different vibe to anything else in bkk. Can't fault the service, such lovely people working there! Amazing French toast for breakfast too. Clean and comfortable! Rooftop pool was always quiet and excellent, might just need a bit more shade. "

The Island Lodge: "The Reason to Visit the Mekong Delta"

Review by: J-N_Travelers | Source: Trip Advisor
This is a beautiful property with amazing staff and service! The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the spa was great, and the property pristine. The owner, Michel, reached out to us directly after we made our reservation and offered transfers from Ho Chi Minh City and back at a reasonable price, which made logistics easy. Michel and his wife, Francoise, also greeted us upon arrival, adding a nice personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend taking advantage of some of the activities offered by the Island Lodge - we did the Seven Bridges Bicycle Tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam. But stay away from My Tho proper, the city really has nothing to offer; just enjoy the lodge, the island, and the river instead. If you are traveling to the Mekong delta, I cannot imagine a better place to stay than the Island Lodge - simply amazing.

Maison Polanka: "Beautiful Haven in September"

Review by: DarrenandChris | Source: Trip Advisor
"Over the years I have stayed at many 5 star hotels and resorts and unexpectedly this was by for my most enjoyable experience. Upon arrival the airport I was warmly welcomed by management staff and driver and after a short drive to the resort was overwhelmed by the lovely grounds and secure compound that the Maison Polanka is set in. My stay was booked for 5 nights with the 'Yellow Room Package' (highly recommended) and included 4 Dinners, Massages, Temple tours with one of Angkor's finest guides and my own personal Tuk-Tuk driver. This represented excellent value! The Yellow Room was perfect for me and much larger than it appeared in the photos I had seen. The room itself had a fantastic Khmer rustic charm with the modern conveniences that us Western travellers expect. The huge bathroom was separated from the main room by a small staircase. Excellent design! My biggest surprise of my stay here was the absolutely awesome dining. The traditional Khmer cook was amazing!!! Unbelievably fresh and authentic Khmer cuisine kept me dining here every night... Maison Polanka is a very special place and I would like to thank ALL the staff, guides and drivers for a brilliant Angkor experience. I will definitely return to this awesome haven!"

MesaStila: "Historical Luxury"

Review by: Ray G | Source: Trip Advisor
"As we came into the front gate, the old time luxury greet us. Such as beautifully cared garden, antique train station, and grand colonial dutch building. If you are in to quietness and peaceful, this is you. The villas mostly are antique javanese houses. And we get the merapi view in the morning, very nice. Clean an comfortable. The rooms generally is large, even for the four of us. A bit pricy though. But it's worth it. Great service."
