Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Fantastic"
Cozy and historic experience. I can recommend this accommodation to my family and friends with confidence. Penang itself is also cozy and relaxing city. A staff is well trained and kind enough. Especially, atmosphere of night is unique and unforgettable,The Village House: "LOVE IT!"
Very romantic and relaxing place. I love the ambience of that place. Staff was very friendly. The place is very isolated and hard to find in the first place. But overall everything was fine and i would love to visit again in the future :)Mume: "Just amazing"
"I personally cannot understand the low rating. My experience here was fantastic! I am from the industry and the food & cocktails were on a really high level. Also the casual dress code and relaxed environment just make it better. For Taipei it might not be cheap, but compared to places like Hong Kong or Singapore it is! And you definitely get great quality and its worth it! Recommending this place to everyone!"muang la: "Unexpectedly delightful"
The management is superb, each meal delicious, serene location in the countryside and wonderful staff. Also, the massages are special and the hot springs a surprise. We heartily recommend Muang La Resort to all.Inle Princess Resort: "Gem of the lake"
"We just returned from a four night stay at the Inle Princess Resort. What a treat! This resort, which sits on the northeast corner of Inle Lake, is locally designed, owned and run. And it shows, from the local crafts that are made on site to the quiet efficiency and welcome of the staff. We arrived via Heho airport by road (about 60-90 minutes and ~$50 US). The road entrance is modest, giving no clue of what lies behind the low key security gate. The grounds are spectacularly but sympathetically landscaped, with stands of bamboo framing lotus filled lagoons. The rooms are absolutely unique in design. You might want to avoid the Mountain rooms only because they are a bit smaller with less spectacular views. Any of the other rooms will exceed your expectations. The dining is lakeside, serving a mix of excellent local and Thai style fare and goreng. The views from the restaurant patio are tranquil, with boats approaching the jetty required to row (almost always Inle leg oar style) with engines off. The pool is otherworldly. We spent a good deal of our time exploring the lake. One of the lessons we learned was that the locally sourced goods in the crafts shop at the Inle Princess are not only superior quality but are priced very fairly. I am lucky to travel widely. The spa is the finest with the kindest and most skillful (Shan) therapists I have encountered. The setting alone will draw you out of your highly strung world. A couple of words of caution to high maintenance travelers. The hot water can run out quickly, so shower efficiently (many rooms have private outdoor showers). And service (e.g. by the pool) can be slower than you will find at Four Seasons. They just don't rush. The food and drinks are wonderful. So relax and enjoy. There is simply nowhere remotely like the Inle Princess. If you are looking for a slice of Myanmarese heaven on earth, this is it. If you are looking for chain resort style service, stay somewhere else."Amata Lanna: "A hidden gem"
"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Amata Lanna whilst touring through Thailand. This is a lovely, small, boutique hotel consisitng of 12 rooms. The style and build is traditional Thai design combined with modern amenities. Our room was only10 metres from the courtyard swimming pool! The hotel is located in a quiet position away from the hustle and bustle but perfect for exploring Chiang Mai with restaurants, the water boats and the Night Market only a short walk away. However, the outstanding attribute is the personal and excellent service, care and attention provided by the staff, especially Yumi the Manager. They made us feel as if we were staying with family from the start to the end."The Island Lodge: "Perfect Place for relaxing holidays"
"We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and everything was perfect. The rooms are beautiful with a nice view on the Mekong river. The breakfast is just delicious. The pool is perfect if you want to relax with the view on the Mekong river. The staff is really friendly and the owners will make everything for you to just feel like being at home. We did some excursions with the hotel and it was also very nice. They have bicycles with child seat, which is perfect. We will definitely come back. Sylvia"Maison Polanka: "Eden"
"Do not miss ! The place is intimate, not only in the romantic meaning but actually great for families and friends - only a few rooms, so the atmosphere is always cosy and welcoming. Fantastic garden with a beautiful pool, the rooms are arty with a unique touch quite far away from typical 5 stars hotels. But the pearl of the place is just the people and the staff, the best service we had ever, after many years traveling all across Asia. Always of good advice and great attentiveness - smiling and cheerful!! We've fallen under the charm of the place and dream to come back !"Rachamankha: "Masterpiece"
"We stayed 5 days for our anniversary and we enjoyed our time staying in this hotel. 1. Convenient location, only 20 mins drive from airport and 10 mins drive to night bazzar. 2. Artful structure, the hotel itself is the masterpiece and it is covered with collectibles of the owner, orchids are everywhere, you must visit their library 3. Peaceful atmosphere, quite & clean room, it is a great place for relax and stress relief. Friendly staffs (and their GM Paul Walker) are so helpful. Free wifi available for me to stay connected to the world. 4. Great chefs, delicious breakfast (no words), dinner is even better (must try their Myanmar curry and mango sticky rice wrap)"Manda De Laos: "excellent dinner"
Wonderful dinner with a beautiful backdrop of the pond. Food was fantastic. The chili coconut soup was a real treat. We also ordered the buffalo and duck mains which were really good as well. Service was helpful and very attentive. Definitely recommended, will be back.
