Tugu Lombok: "Paradise!"
Where do I start?! Our greeting on arrival was kind and sincere. We had a tour of the complex by the manager, who pointed out everything you needed to know. While unpacking, we received fresh coconut water which we could see being chopped down just outside our bungalow. The rooms were lovely, with a grand outdoor bathtub and a large open shower. The grounds were stunning, and everyone who worked there were incredibly friendly. The hotel has two beautiful pools, it's right on the beach and they do private day tours to the Gili islands which I would highly recommend. The breakfasts are to die for, and a good hour every morning was spent enjoying and trying everything on the menu (over the 4 days of course) which was no mean feat as the menu was huge and catered for everyone. There is also a gym which you can create a decent work out in. We enjoyed an amazing couples massage by the beach, followed by champagne and dinner under the stars. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I would really love to return one day. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff for making our stay!SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "I am here as I write this"
I’ll keep it short and sweet. Just come here and don’t think twice. You will fall in love with this place. Wonderful ambience and superb food. The owner said they’ve been open only for 10 months. There is no surprise why they’re number 1 in Yangon in such a short period of time. It’s wonderful.Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Perfect last 2 nights in Seoul at this hidden gem"
"I stumbled upon RakKoJae as I was searching for unique experiences in Seoul. Sure enough, staying at RakKoJae was one of the highlights of my first trip to South Korea. I thought spending my last 2 nights here before I fly home would wrap up my travel great, and it did. Now where do I begin? The hanok guesthouse - Simply beautiful, tasteful, and serene. First night I stayed in Master bedroom, second night in Far bedroom. I love both rooms. But beyond the rooms, RakKoJae really gives you a wholesome experience. You aren’t staying in rooms. You are staying in a beautiful hanok house The experience - The natural jade flooring is awesome. It gives you the cool relaxing feel, especially in spring/summer season. The hinoki wooden bathtub is also great. The Korean breakfast is one you have to try in the morning (it’s really good). You could also try on hanbok during breakfast time. Fun to wear it, take photos, with hanok environment as Instagram-worthy-background. Don’t forget to try out the yellow mud sauna. I stayed for about 30 mins, sweating but feeling anxious at the same time. It was really soothing that I almost fell asleep! The staff - Mr. Kim, the General Manager, was really attentive and helpful since the beginning of reservation, during my stay, until bidding me farewell as I leave RakKoJae for the airport. Thank you for your kindness and your hospitality On my last night, it was drizzling in Seoul. Relaxing on RakKoJae’s patio, reading a book, and enjoying the house’s evening view? Couldn’t ask for a better experience. I shall return one day and try Patio Room next time :)"The Island Lodge: "Lovely Place to stay"
"We stayed 2 nights at the Island Lodge during our tour of Cambodia and Vietnam, and my wife and I loved it. Away from the hustle and Bustle of HCMC , The Island Lodge is a peaceful oasis and I cant recommend them highly enough. We stayed in a Garden View room , the attention to detail all over the resort is exceptional, and the staff with a special mention to Aime'e are a delight nothing is too much trouble. So if you fancy a relaxing break while visiting some of the hectic cities of Vietnam , do yourselves a favour and check out the Island Lodge you wont be disappointed."Maison Polanka: "An oasis in the city"
We felt well taken care of by the staff - every time we arrived we were greeted with cold towels and a willingness to help with any details to make our trip more enjoyable. The property is utterly an oasis in the city - tons of greenery and the pool the perfect way to cool off on a hot afternoon. Since there are not many rooms, we felt like we had the place practically to ourselves and the peaceful atmosphere was most welcome.MesaStila: "Colonial Elegance and Very Relaxing"
"The resort is 30-40 buildings assembled on a beautiful plateau. The original plantation house has been restored and elegant yet unique. The staff was polite, friendly, professional and extremely helpful through our entire visit. The breakfast is very good and includes different options of Indonesian and western food. I especially enjoyed the homemade yogurt The spacious villas look like something out of a film set with a huge king size teak four poster bed, antique furniture and lamps, wooden shutters, a day couch overlooking the balcony, and a lovely bathroom including a huge tub and luxurious towels. The villa was well-kept and very clean. The hotel has a daily complimentary coffee plantation walking tour which was excellent. We really enjoyed learning about the 4 different types of coffee plants and the history of MesaStila. The hotel spa is great. We had complimentary neck and shoulder massages. My wife enjoyed the varied spa packages."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Wonderfully relaxing"
"For years my wife and I's favorite place to stay was a boutique hotel in Thailand that we discovered while working there: a (for us) perfect combination of luxury, service and simplicity. Since that closed we've vainly been searching for a replacement. I suspect nothing will ever completely replace Laem Set in my heart, but Neeleshwar Hermitage is the closest we've come. After a week travelling in Rajasthan we were ready for a recharge. Neeleshwar allowed us to completely rejuvenate in a tranquil, beautiful environment with a wonderful ayurvedic spa and yoga and meditation options. The accommodation and food are of a high quality and the staff very solicitous (barring an unfortunate and atypical experience with an incompetent and impolite tailor at the resort shop). A shame that due to the Kerala liquor laws there are no spirits sold, so no pre-dinner cocktails, we'd maybe look to bring our own fixings next time. Local wine and beer is available on request, billed as ""cold supplies"" or some-such. Overall, much to recommend, and hopefully we'll be back soon. Stayed February 2017, traveled as a couple"Cuca: "Best meal in Bali"
Cuca really stood out for me, personally the best dining experience I've had in Bali. Creative, modern twist to some classic dishes and unusual (in a good way) food combinations - for example ceviche with watermelon ice!! It's also very well priced and service was examplary. The dish that stood out for me was the smoked butterfish (presented as a rose as per attached photo). Stop reading, go try itNEELESHWAR HERMITAGE: "Heavenly Retreat!"
"Elegant, tasteful and spiritual haven. A wonderful end to an amazingly busy and eventful tour.We left feeling rejuvenated and fully refreshed having enjoyed the wonderfully comfortable and harmonious ambience. The attention to detail and care taken at every level contributes to the magic of this place. With only twelve cottages, we were given personal service and attention of the highest order. The breakfasts served at the beach cafe are beautifully presented and delicious. In the evening we enjoyed supper under the stars at the beach cafe too…eating freshly caught fish and sea food."Locavore: "amazing restaurant"
"e went for a lunch 7 courses menu. food was delicious. every plate presented was a big wow and then hmmmmm! service is courteous and efficient. sometimes hard to understand the ingredients and feel waiters are just reciting the names without putting too much passion into it. but they get things done. the cocktail pairing is left a bit to be desired.. some are a bit too strong compared to the food. suggest to order wine/cocktails a la carte worth every cent and every minute of your time. if you happen to be in ubud and some budget to spare, go to locavore."
