Reverie Siam: "Chilled out elegance and locally sourced food"

Review by: Janiew77 | Source: Trip Advisor
I loved our stay here - the pool, the rooms (upgraded not once, but twice!), the wonderful staff and service - this is a romantic and nostalgic resort nestling in the mountains in the town of Pai. Pai itself has changed a lot and become more touristy over the years, but staying here gives you a feeling of being cocooned in time and luxury. The rooms are beautiful with an old colonial feel, and the saltwater infinity pool looks out to the mountains. Often we were the only people in it. The staff were unfailingly helpful, nothing was to much trouble. The food is amazing!!!! The chef really knows his stuff, and sources local produce. We were supposed to stay two nights at the start of a two week stay in the area, but once we found this place my partner wouldn't let us leave :-) I'd definitely go back to this dreamy place whenever I could..... (travelled May 2015 but option to date didn't go back that far)

Jing’s Residence: "Fantastic Hotel! Fantastic Service!"

Review by: JauntyFox | Source: Trip Advisor
"We decided to visit Pingyao based on Lonely Planet recommendations (Pingyao is famous as a walled city and well-known for its local goods). So glad we did! This hotel was the best during our China/HK holiday. It is an oasis in an otherwise dusty and remote location. The room and facilities is top notch although don't expect to watch TV as there is none except in the guest lounge. You won't miss it though as the hotel offers spa treatments; noodle making and paper cutting classes. We were able to relax in the guest lounge with complimentary afternoon tea. All tea and delicacies (we had eight bean treasure one day and a type of porridge the next) are locally produced and were delicious. The restaurant is great for both breakfast and dinner with a wide selection available. Loved the scrambled eggs Chinese style on a bed of steamed rice for breakfast. Personal service and attention from all the staff is second to none but especially from the resident manager, Imam, who is outstanding. He was always available to assist or ensure our needs were being met and popped up magically as we would pass through the lobby area. On our final morning of our stay he took us on a personal tour of a ruined courtyard giving us a tremendous insight into how the locals lived many years ago as well as escorting us to a local shoe manufacturer. We would definitely stay here again and the hotel and friendliness make this place worth the detour to Pingyao itself! "

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Best floating paradise"

Review by: Liase78 | Source: Trip Advisor
We have just left 4 rivers today and were very sad to leave. We had the most amazing time and everything about the experience was excellent. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. The service is excellent. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and all facilities that you would expect on a floating camp are available. The meals offered are that of a 5 star experience, wonderful food, amazing presentation and served professionally. The day trips and guides were also fantastic. Make sure you go on the fire fly boat trip just 20mins and it's free plus you're back in time for dinner. You MUST visit this camp and experience it yourselves.

Muang La Lodge: "Worth the journey"

Review by: PaulaW2001 | Source: Trip Advisor
There is no way round it, this beautiful hotel is remote, it took us 5 hours to get there and the same to leave. However, the location is beautiful. The hotel is so well run, every detail is perfect. We loved the food as well.

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A quiet place to relax and recharge"

Review by: laneyrandell | Source: Trip Advisor
Neeleshwar Hermitage is a place to take time out and relax. It is situated on the Arabian Sea, miles of empty beach and palm trees. The Rooms are comfortable and private. There are two restaurants, one in the main building and more formal, the second is set on the sand, under the palm trees facing the sea. Delicious food. I had a cookery lesson and was shown how to make dishes within five minutes which suited the individual's taste. The town was quite close by and we reached this by tuk tuk. There was also a gorgeous spa where I indulged in aromatherapy and reflexology and a discussion with a doctor on diet and general health. We also had a cruise on the Lotus, and old rice boat, which had been converted into a beautiful houseboat. The houseboat was a five minute drive from the Heritage. Strongly recommended. A wonderful visit.

MesaStila: "A trip to Paradise"

Review by: bmeadows2016 | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Have just returned from a holiday to Indonesia that started with a fabulous 7 nights at Mesa Stila. Walking onto the verandah of our beautiful house every morning, with a cup of coffee made from the beans grown on the estate and seeing the spectacular view of volcanoes and hearing the sounds of the jungle was truly magical. The staff here are so friendly and attentive to your every need. The food is delicious and uses produce grown on the estate, as well as homemade yoghurt, ice cream, sorbets, bread etc. Do try the coconut porridge for breakfast and the pina colada salad is a revelation! Do also go to the spa and indulge in a massage. Every treatment starts with a spell in the steam room and finishes with a refreshing pot of ginger tea and small treats. The masseurs are excellent, Citra has the tiniest hands but a powerful, healing touch. We were very grateful to Erny for organising our treatments so thoughtfully. There's a great programme of events too but walking around the grounds and lying by the infinity pool gazing into the jungle left me truly refreshed and ready to face the world again. I hope I'll be returning soon! "

Manukan Island Resort: "Fantastic way to start the holiday!"

Review by: Beth8737 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Arrived at Manakan and the staff were fantastic greeted us straight from the boat, check in staff Welter was BRILLIANT and couldn't do enough for us helped us with transfers to our next destination and was just really helpful, warm and friendly. The room was great in hindsight it would have def paid more for one of the rooms within the trees as the view from there rooms just looked amazing! Great walks through the jungle but mosquito spray is ESSENTIAL!!!!! Dinner was lovely could do with more veggie options though but that seems to be a theme throughout Borneo. Lovely beach and just like everyone says once the tourists go you feel like the islands yours. Food was really good and a great price! Especially when compared to other hotels. Diving was nice although the corals are looking a bit sad and a lot have died but no fault of the resorts. Sunset point whilst it has a bin really needs someone to take the trash as over flowing bins kind of ruined it a little also once the tourists have gone a bit more effort into taking trash of the bin could be in place. A great start to the holiday and honestly a beautiful place which I'd def recommend"

Chakrabongse Villas: "Quiet oasis, great location"

Review by: rtwnomads | Source: tripadvisor.com
The Oriental Villa was perfect for our family of 4 (kids 10 and 8). Great location to explore the highlights of Bangkok. Dinner on the river was outstanding, and Ms. Atom reserved us a table at Sala Rattanakosin (within walking distance, also on the river) when their chef was off and it was equally memorable.

Tugu Lombok: "Urlaub"

Review by: Susanne S | Source: Trip Advisor
"Das Tugu Hotel ist ein Traum und ganz besonders für einen romantischen Urlaub zu empfehlen .In diesem Hotel stimmt alles!! Jeder Wunsch wird einem von den Augen abgelesen! Man fühlt sich wie in einer geborgen Familie, da es ein kleines ganz besonders liebevoll gepflegtes Hotel ist. Das Frühstück sensationell! Allerdings sehr einsam und abgelegen. Für Ruhesuchende Personen das perfekte Hotel. Stayed January 2017, traveled solo"

Rachamankha: "YES! YES! YES! Totally awesome property"

Review by: shendrix | Source: Trip Advisor
I wanted to stay at Tamarind but I could not get the same room for 4 nights, and I am so glad I chose this instead. This hotel is wonderful. A glorious architectural wonder in a quiet Chiang Mai old quarter spot. The rooms-and ours was a standard- are wonderful. I wished I could have seen the upgraded rooms, but if a standard was this great, who needs an upgrade? The only small negative I had overall is that the shower tiles are a bit dated...could use a re-do...other than than that, all was amazing. Awesome staff, beautiful, sumptous breakfast, gorgeous rooms and amenities, lovely pool area. Easy walk to anything and everything. Wonderfully helpful staff with activities and transportation. 5 star all the way.
