Tugu Bali: "Beautiful, Peaceful in Canggu"

Review by: Stephen M | Source: Trip Advisor
Loved Tugu Hotel. Amazing staff, wonderful location. The hotel sits right next to the beach in Canggu. It neighbors Canggu's most popular hang out, The Lawn. The area is full if amazing restaurants, bars and hangouts. The hotel offers a tea, coffee, and cake every day from 4:30 - 6:30pm. I totally recommend this place to anyone looking to surf as well. The hotel sits on a big surfing beach! A+++ on location for this place.

Inle Princess Resort: "Perfect balance between East and West"

Review by: ANGELAHOL | Source: Trip Advisor
"We loved our two nights at the Inle Princess and wish we'd had longer. Approaching the hotel in a canoe with a local oarsman foot-rowing was the start to a wonderfully relaxing and romantic stay. It is always tricky getting the balance between traditional style and atmosphere on one hand and modern needs on the other. I think they get it just right. The hotel is a series of traditional Burmese wooden houses with verandas, tiny gardens and an additional outdoor shower cabin. We had a lakeside view with wonderful sunsets. It is all beautifully landscaped with paths (lit by small lights at night) winding through trees. There's a pool and a spa where you can get a treatment and enjoy another stunning view. To our surprise there were no insects, apparently they come with the better weather. None even around lights in the garden. August turned out to be not a bad month to go - very few tourists, no bugs and (apart from an occasional downpour) good weather. All the staff were smiley and helpful and the whole place had a peaceful atmosphere. Our room and bathroom were large. The wash area was tucked away separately so the bathroom was basically a large room with a tub in the middle. The lighting was quite dim,so anyone putting on make-up would have a challenge not looking like a painted clown. Contrarily the curtains were quite thin so light streamed in once the sun was up. Large bed was very comfortable. We only ate Asian food and it was pretty good. Stick to cocktails, forget wine. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake will leave an enduring picture in my mind. I could have done without canned music which clashed with the atmosphere but I think it was only breakfast and in the bar. A day on the lake visiting floating islands and local craft-making was a delight. We had a tropical downpour and ponchos and umbrellas were immediately produced. We were on a tight schedule mixing work and holiday so couldn't have the 3 or 4 days we would have liked. For charm and a distinctive atmosphere this hotel deserves a good rating."

Locavore: "A memorable dinner in Bali"

Review by: Tat_Tatchai | Source: Trip Advisor
Hands down one of the best restaurants in Asia, if not the world. We had the tasting menu paired with cocktails. Every item is delicious and has story to it. Listening to chef explaining the ingredients and how each menu is cooked is part of the fun. It’s like a culinary to the Indonesian cuisine with modern interpretations. If there’s a Michelin guide here in Indonesia, Locavore deserves at least 2 stars!!

Villa Song Saigon: "Superb hotel"

Review by: happynomad60 | Source: Trip Advisor
"This hotel is outstanding. The service is spot on without being obtrusive, the food delicious, the rooms light and airy and the pool so luxurious. A speedboat takes clients to and from the hotel to the city so it's a convenient relief to be able to come out of the bustle of the city at night. Room Tip: We were on the third floor overlooking the river. The room was cool light and airy and very spacious"

The Village House: "Wonderful boutique accommodation"

Review by: GayleHerrera | Source: Trip Advisor
"Had a wonderful stay at the Village House. It has all the right ambience for a stay in Sarawak. Ideal for visitors who want to trek Mt Santubong, as they provide a shuttle going to and back from the start of the trail. The breakfast included in your room payment is fantastic and their lunch and dinner menu are just right if you want to try Malay and local cuisine. Room Tip: Rooms near the pool are ideal if you like the sound of flowing water"

Chakrabongse Villas: "Sublime oasis"

Review by: RobinandKaren | Source: tripadvisor.com
While expensive by any town's standard this calm in the storm of sensations that is Bankok is worth it. Ms Atom and the staff are so welcoming we felt like family (in a good way), maybe even royalty. The food, both breakfast and a diner, are first rate. And you can eat while you watch the constant parade of boats on the river, most entertaining. The flower market just down the street is fascinating, especially at night. Must see sights abound in the neighborhood and the water bus-boat stops are just around the corner to take you up or down river.  Skip the in room drinks and grab your refreshments from any of several shops (even 7 Eleven) along the street. Lounge by the pool or sit on one of the the riverside decks. The sunset can be fabulous.

Satri House: "An Oasis of Calm"

Review by: RickH45 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I must say that when we first arrived very tired after 24 hours of travelling my wife and l wondered where we were. It was dark and the hotel is just off the main road and we could not see the hotel. However on entering the hotel we were delighted with our choice. The staff were extremely helpful and the room was one of the nicest and comfortable rooms we have stayed in The whole hotel and rooms had wonderful objet d'art which added to the ambience. The restaurant was a separate building with outside verandas . We had 2 evening meals and breakfasts during our stay. The food was very well prepared and delicious although the restaurant lacked atmosphere ,most probably because we were out of season. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the centre of town but there were plenty of tuk tuks There are two swimming pools which when we visited in April were very necessary due to the high temperature 40 plus. We didn't want to leave.A delightful hotel"

Tugu Bali: "The Best Bali Experience"

Review by: ANT301 | Source: Trip Advisor
I've been coming to Bali for 30 years and this is by far the best Hotel I've stayed in. We originally booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for close to 3 weeks? Staff are exceptional, the location is amazing and the rooms are full of character. The X- Large bed is very comfortable and the attention to detail throughout the entire hotel is a reflection of the Management and staffs commitment in providing a memorable experience. Cannot recommend this Hotel more highly.

Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay!"

Review by: Mariken v | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! Show less Room Tip: Room 11, a triple room, at the end of the resort with uninterrupted views. Room 10, double room, abo... Stayed: April 2017, traveled with family"

Manda De Laos: "Superb setting and attentive staff"

Review by: plh4kids | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I ate there last night and were thoroughly impressed by the attentive staff and the quality of the food. Presentation was beyond anything you see in Canada and American. Prices are a little high by Laos standards but a bargain compared to equal caliber restaurants in the West. If you are in this quaint town.....it’s a must visit.
