Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Relaxing get-away"
Rice and Zen is set in the most gorgeous location, amidst the paddies and lush landscape. Michael is a very attentive, yet discreet host and we had a lovely time exploring the local area and restaurants on the bikes/scooter provided. The pool is gorgeous and perfect for lazing away an afternoon or morning; the villa accommodation is well appointed and slept our family of 4 (kids aged 4 and 6) very comfortably. Many thanks!Rachamankha: "A peaceful haven"
My husband and my self visited Chiangmai in 1997 and stayed at the Rachamankha. The feeling of being transported to another world is really true. This hotel is in the midst of the city but the exquisite lay out of the interior and exterior is pretty hard to beat. We spend our winters in Chiangmai since then and visit Rachamankha every week to simply enjoy the tranquility of this wonderful hotel. The staff is very attentive and very well trained. They almost guess and jump to your needs before you can voice them. The kitchen is a very good a mix of Thai and European cuisine. Good wines. We really consider ourselves fortunate to have discovered this gem. I was impressed by the owners astute insight into the the Thai culture which he has presented in his unique style. We are fans of RachamankaRachamankha: "Words Cannot Describe How Beautiful this Hotel Is"
"My girlfriend and I stayed at the Rachamankha in November 2015 for several nights. We absolutely loved our Chiang Mai experience and my girlfriend admits that Chiang Mai is her favorite travel destination so far (and we have been to many). In addition to the scootering around the city, the expeditions into the countryside and the Thai cooking class, the Rachamankha had a huge role in this wonderful first impression. The hotel does an amazing job of balancing natural and classic beauty with modern luxury. I felt calm at this hotel like I haven't at other hotels. The staff, the rooms, the property, the pool - everything seemed perfect. For the experience that you get this hotel is well worth the money. One funny note. There is a library in the middle of the hotel that is beautiful and has glass cases with all sorts of books, including a ton about history and architecture, as well as free brandy. The only problem is that these books are not generally accessible to the guests and I believe they are the personal books of the owner. We tried to ask if we could see a couple books and after being passed off to a couple of people they allowed us to take a look at a limited number of books in only two cases but it felt very much like we weren't supposed to be doing that and were being offensive. It just struck us as natural that if you put a beautiful library in a hotel that guests can access, the guests may want to read the books. This did nothing to tarnish our amazing stay at this beautiful hotel, we just thought it was kinda funny."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "A secluded river paradise, wow"
It may take a while to get there but it was worth every minute. What a fabulous location, the staff were just sensational and that is the most luxurious tent ever!!!! Pristine river to swim in, as quiet as I have ever experienced, relaxing, gorgeous, socially aware resort that was just the best. And they have French Champagne yeh!!!!!!The Cabochon Hotel: "Beautiful hotel"
This is a beautiful, well-maintained, and unique property that really felt like an oasis in the midst of busy Bangkok (but still with easy access to the rest of the city). We stayed in a balcony suite, and it was one of our favorite hotel experiences - we're still talking about the thoughtful design touches throughout the property and how magical the experience felt. Thoroughly modern, but completely evocative of a bygone era - a very cool hotel.Rachamankha: "It can’t get better than this"
"This an exceptionally good hotel on so many levels. Among many outstanding attributes it has: A great position in the old city, close to the action but tucked away in a quiet spot. A beautiful, interesting building with many nooks and crannies. Wonderful staff. The front desk manager Wanida was superb leading up to and during our stay. Large, extremely comfortable and well-equipped rooms. A large, inviting pool. A good restaurant. Beautiful gardens. This hotel displays the standards to which all quality hotels should aspire."The Cabochon Hotel: "Charming Boutique Hotel"
"Amazing! The decor and building have so much character. The staff was extremely attentive. This was a relaxing retreat in the middle of bustling Bangkok. Breakfast was incredible and something we looked forward to each day. Convenient location near a BTS stop. Would highly recommend. "Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming"
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."Rachamankha: "Awesome, fabulous and stunning"
Beautiful hotel in great location, inside the old city 2 blocks from the main road. Zen like experience with great food, staff and rooms. I am an experienced traveller who have gone to some hotels and left within 2 hours. This was perfect. The Island Lodge: "Great little boutique hotel"
This was a great choice to stay before and after a river cruise on the mekong delta. The place was cozy with all you need: quality restaurant, spa and the most friendly and service-oriented staff. The place is tucked away pretty good so you want to have the driver pick you off at the airport.Travel Asia with Secret Retreats
