Inle Princess Resort: "Go on, splurge,on the lake villa!"

Review by: DreamingSydney | Source: Trip Advisor
"Immediately, the door opened and I was speechless, the huge windows made me feel like I was floating on the lake itself...simply stunning. The complimentary mini bar was a pleasant added touch as I sat back on my private balcony to watch the sunset. The room was immaculate and spacious. The bathroom complete with outdoor shower was clean and well equipped. The resort is in a secluded corner of the lake and you really did feel like you were far away from the hustle and bustle of the jetty town. The boats themselves must switch off their engines before approaching the resort which makes for a charming introduction to the brilliant foot steering of the local boatmen. Breakfast was made to order and the food generally was of a high standard. I loved seeing the two Burmese cats making themselves at home in this little piece of paradise. Inle Lake was really one of the highlights of my trip, in fact, I could have spent a few extra days here just enjoying the lake life. Trekking on the furthest reaches of the lake would be on my to do list when I return."

Supanniga Eating Room: "Refined thai food great flavor"

Review by: sudirmanman | Source: Trip Advisor
Heard a lot of good things about this place and was NOT disappointed when I finally ate there. As there was 2 of us We were limited in how many dishes to try. We had the Issan pork sausage, pa neng beef red curry and the crispy fish with mango relish. All 3 dishes scored top marks. Sausage was fragrant and had a good texture. Curry was full bodied with the right level of heat. Crispy fish salad was generous serving and the mango dressing was light. Food was enough for 3. Was stuffed but very satisfied. Best thai food I had on this trip.

Pindaya Farm House: "Relaxation"

Review by: Robert T | Source: Trip Advisor
Withing easy reach of the Pindaya shrine, this modern farmhouse in a traditional style is a place of calm relaxation, surrounded by pretty countryside, and lovely views from the house. Really nice welcome, excellent food, great room. Loved watching the sunset, and the morning (we tried doing watercolours). Bicycle rides provided.

David’s Kitchen: "Best Meal Ever!!"

Review by: lisababe23 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Well where do I begin with David’s Kitchen..... We were collected promptly by one of their restaurant cars and delivered to a magical setting that is the restaurant. We were quickly greeted by Tae who firstly apologised that David was not at the restaurant this evening but taking a break with his family. I’m certainly not going to deny the fabulous owners taking a holiday. Tae did a fabulous job in their absence. The meal was of exceptional quality, we have eaten all over the world and they have the balance just right, good quality food but without the usual ‘cheffy’ twist, if I want a sticky toffee pudding I don’t want it deconstructed with 17 ingredients I’ve never heard of!! A lot of restaurants forget they are serving paying customers and seem to concentrate on indulging the chef and owners, this restaurant does neither it recognises the guests are there for good food in lovely settings served by genuine people. I can’t praise this little restaurant in a quiet corner of Chiang Mai enough. If you ever fancy expanding to the UK I will be the first one to book!!"

Satri House: "Oasis in Luang Prabang"

Review by: val1053 | Source: Trip Advisor
"The Satri House was a welcome relief from airplanes, heat, crowds and all the travails of international travel. Greeted by friendly and efficient staff, stunning and immaculate grounds, the sweet smell of lemongrass and air conditioned room, I felt ready to relax before heading out for 5 days of discovery in Luang Prabang area. If you have time, enjoy a massage in the spa and be sure to look around at all the grounds...a treat for body, mind and spirit. The staff does all they can to make your stay very pleasant! Breakfast was good but a little more variation would have been nice since we were there for several days. This hotel was selected for us by our travel company, so I have not looked into details of price, value, etc. I can only say we did not select the very top hotel package and we're not disappointed at Satri House! Room Tip: I would suggest an upper level room, as the wooden floors seem to be noisey."

Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Heavenly"

Review by: John S | Source: Trip Advisor
"This gem of a place in northern Kerala was like heaven on earth. Very elegant and huge rooms with an even more gorgeous bathroom. The beach (Arabian sea) was just perfect and very clean. The food served was really delicious and fresh. We did not take any of the guided tours offered, but I presume that is good as well. Overall, we had a perfect and peaceful holiday at Neeleshwar! "

Glenburn Tea Estate: "A Truly Magical Stay"

Review by: Chaz C | Source: Trip Advisor
"I will never forget my time spent at Glenburn - it was truly magical and will always have a warm place in my heart. From the lovely driver Ranjan who picked me up from the airport with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade and a picnic to the lovely, attentive managers Holly and Jemima who welcomed me with a green Glenburn sash on arrival I knew it was going to be a great stay! The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with incredible to detail - gorgeous unique suites, amazing flowers and views of the mountains. It felt so tranquil; as if you were on top of the world! What really made my stay special however was the staff. Chandra's home baked banana bread is truly the best I've ever tasted!! The themed evening meals were always delicious and I loved being able to sample new cuisines. I was even lucky enough to experience a three course meal complete with a delicious homemade apple crumble down at the camp lodge next to the river with a roaring campsite fire and oil lamps - that was a truly memorable experience and the staff were so attentive in making it the best night for us (thank you Ashim and Myla!!). I've also left understanding so much more about tea and now profess myself to be quite the connoisseur!! So thank you to Parveez and Nibir for all your expertise and especially for the tour visiting the tea pickers - that was a great day and I think the tea basket looked great on me if I say so myself ;) You can tell how hard the management work to endeavour you have a great stay and it was lovely to spend some time drinking masala chai with Holly and Jemima on the veranda - thank you for all your help in ensuring I had a memorable stay! I'd recommend Glenburn to anyone - get stuck in, walk down into the village, day trip to Darjeeling, sample a green tea oil massage and have bed tea every morning - you won't regret it!! This place is a little chunk of heaven. Stayed March 2017, traveled solo"

Satri House: "A gem"

Review by: Tony D | Source: Trip Advisor
This is my second stay at Satri House, the most beautiful hotel in and around Luang Prabang. With lovely gardens and passages that open onto lily ponds and out of the way pavilions, the colonial French buildings, rooms and hallways are filled with Buddhist statues and Chinese porcelain. My room had a deliciously comfortable king bed all the hot water you need and was kept spotless and fragrant by the wonderful hotel staff who serve excellent breakfasts (my favorite: rice noodle soup with pork), delicious luncheon salads by the pool and surprisingly good French dinners served with drinkable wine at the right temperature! This is the place to stay if you're going to the fantastic Luang Prabang Film Festival in early December or want to avoid the tourist crowds in the Old Town, just 15 minutes away on foot or 5 if you borrow a bike from the hotel. This is where I'll be staying with my friends during the LPFF in 2017. Satri House is a wonderful hotel, one of my favorites in Southeast Asia.
