Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect place to unwind"
I visited the Sukoon houseboat during the current difficulties. We had been hesitant to go but decided to go for it and I am really glad we did as we had an amazing time. We were collected from the airport and taken straight to the houseboat: the streets were deserted and there was a soldier presence but once you get to Dal Lake, which is quite a way from the old city, everything was brilliant. The boat is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The food is fantastic. We went out on a shikara ride on the lake, visited gardens and went walking in the hills near the lake: our guide was excellent. There were a few things we couldn't do because of the difficulties but this didn't impact on the overall enjoyment of the trip. The lake is just as beautiful as I had imagined. We really enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend it.The Hue House: "Top Restaurants"
"Für mich ist es das beste Restaurant in HCM. Top Essen TOP Location TOP Preise Gerne wieder. Es ist leider etwas schwer zu finden"Amata Lanna: "Gorgeous boutique hotel"
"We were moved here as they needed to check the electric shower in our other hotel. It is a gorgeous boutique hotel very beautifully decorated in old Lanna style Thai decor with ornate wooden features . The staff are very welcoming and you are warmly greeted and offered a welcome drink in the small reception area. The rooms are all set around a pool and there are lots of little seating areas and a cute little path over a pond to the toilet. The room itself was decorated with plush Thai fabrics, wooden artefacts and had a beautiful, huge bathtub, where you could enjoy a candlelit bath. I loved bed that the bath and shower products were in pot bottles with stoppers instead of plastic and there was a cute little elephant soap dish with an elephant soap inside. The location is close to the hustle and bustle and near the nightmarkets but the hotel offers a tranquil respite from all the noise. It was lovely to sit outside at night as the lights from the pool and the garden made it very peaceful. We had to leave for an early flight to the airport and the staff arranged a taxi and for mango sticky rice and coffee delivered to our room before we left. I would definitely stay here again."Inle Princess Resort: "Amazing hotel."
"Stayed at Inle princess for 2 nights on a family holiday to Burma. We had 3 rooms in total and unfortunately we didn't get the front river rooms but even the standard rooms are quite unique and special in their design and construction. It was cold in the month of February especially in the evenings and night but the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bathroom got much colder but it was manageable. We travelled by boat throughout our two days in inle- which was also an amazing experience. Service at the hotel was excellent. We usually ate our lunches in the market, but had all the dinners in the hotel itself as it's not possible to travel out at night. Every avocado dish was outstanding. We also got a 60 mins couple massage at the hotel which was ok. Disappointed that they didn't have the option to take a steam included with the message as this was priced separately and the amenities/ facilities didn't seem worth the extra cost. Overall a great stay, beautiful hotel, highly recommend!"Manda De Laos: "A gem"
We went here as it was close to our hotel and it was pouring with rain. We were not disappointed, the setting was lovely, set around a pond and beautifully lit. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Well worth a visit.Supanniga Cruise: "Fantastic boutique dinner cruise experience"
"We booked the SC as a birthday celebration whilst family were visiting Bangkok (4 adults in total). We booked the Dinner Champagne Tattinger Cruise package which offers a fantastic selection of various dishes following a flute of Tattinger upon boarding. As five-year residents of Bangkok, we had always wanted to experience a Chao Phraya dinner cruise, but had no intention of joining the buffet-style, neon-light-laden barges with over 500 other ""diners"" queing and elbowing our way around a floating eye-sore. In contrast, the SC setup is a very small, boutique, and well-managed operation, with a limited number of diners in a quiet and intimate setting. The top deck offers great uninterrupted views of the passing river and buildings on the banks. The route takes in many of the river's highlights including The Grand Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun, as well as some of the quieter stretches south of Taksin Bridge. The table service was very attentive, professional (but relaxed) and prompt - there is quite a substantial list of servings to get through in the two hour experience, but the portions are tasty and appropriate. Being fans of the Bangkok outlets of Supanigga, we are aware of the seafood-orientation of the menu, and there was a bit of spice involved in a few dishes, but it is all very nice and very well prepared given the limitations on kitchen (being on a small boat!). The departure from River City is very convenient and well-managed (with booking confirmation phone call earlier in the day). Being able to park in the River City complex is very helpful. We were very excited to see the launch of this endeavour by Supanigga and were very happy and satisfied (and full!) that we chose it for a special occasion. We all thoroughly recommend the experience, and hope to return to take it all in again in the near future."Reverie Siam: "Fantastic hotel"
Everything is great about this hotel. Nice mountain view, excellent restaurant, great customer service. One of the best resorts I have stayed. Choice place to relax and chill out. Keep up the good work, Reverie Siam. Will definitely come back again.Yandabo Home: "Great! Wonderful! Brilliant!"
"This is a small hotel right on the river. It's nestled among trees which does mean the inevitable wildlife around you (although we didn't see mosquitos!). The room we had was huge and wonderfully well equipped. The terrace area was comfortable and peaceful. The staff were very helpful and friendly (not always visible but never very far away). For a two night stay to see the villages it is a great base."Supanniga Eating Room: "Nice desserts and ambience"
Nice and flavorful food. Service was good. Nice crowd. Not too rowdy. Ideal for family or dates. Pricing is considered higher when compared to Bangkok standard.Chakrabongse Villas: "A real oasis – beautiful and worth every cent :)"
"Chakrabongse Villas is a really luxurious boutique hotel. We were guests here for 3 nights in April, and we wanted for nothing. We were offered a welcome cocktail when we arrived late in the evening, and our villa was traditional Thai style, and it was well appointed, clean and cool. We had a lovely private balcony overlooking the garden, with fresh flowers, pool towels, daybeds and shade aplenty. Having large villas, lovely gardens and only a handful of villas, we hardly ever saw another guest! We enjoyed the pool and the activity on the river, which we were on the banks of. Grounds are very private, with locked gates. Staff are unobtrusive but efficient, and the clamour, heat and bustle of Bangkok stops at the gates, and you enter a true oasis of calm and luxury. The riverside restaurant is also lovely and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast there each morning, with exquisite service, lovely food, and tourism advice as required. We took their longtail boat tour through the canals one afternoon, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was reasonably priced, too. One night we ate at the restaurant for dinner, and really, we were treated like royalty. A treat for the soul, and lovely, simple set menu, deliciously prepared. It was my husband's birthday one day, and they gave him a lovely gift. Add all of this together, and you have an exemplary service provider. Expensive but as i say, well worth it. Congratulations Chakrabongse crew, keep up the good work! Stayed April 2017, traveled as a couple"
