Yandabo Home: "Zwischenstopp mandalay-bagan"
The Island Lodge: "Shangri-La on the Mekong"
"This hotel enjoys an idyllic location on the banks of the Mekong & everything about it is right. Our room provided a great view of the river & waking up to the dawn chorus of roosters crowing & the gentle murmur of river traffic was a delight. We were then able to move to the balcony & watch the sun rise. Our spotlessly clean room was spacious & comfortable with copious quantities of bamboo in keeping with the location. The bed was large & comfortable with an attached shower room & separate toilet. The food at both dinner & breakfast was superb & my wife commented that her quiche & salad was one of the best she had ever eaten. I still remember the exquisite chocolate fondant. Breakfast was cooked to order so we could have as much as we wanted & nothing was wasted. Service throughout our visit was exemplary. Outside, the hotel has a good-sized swimming pool & sauna with ample sun loungers, complete with parasols, towels & sun hats, for all the guests so there is no need to arrive early & reserve one. We recommend this hotel unreservedly for all ages."Reverie Siam: "Truly memorable stay"
Amazing place, very quiet and peaceful. The garden and hotel grounds are gorgeous. Room is huge and clean. Food is really delicious, great option for breakfast and dinner. Staff is super warm welcome and will sincerely do everything to make your stay truly memorable. They know very well how to provide the best service. Especially thanks to Khun Dee from restaurant. We'll definitely be back.Sandat Glamping Tents: "Special place to stay"
"This place really lives up to the Glamorous-Camping expectation. The resort stands out beautifully in the sea of rice fields. Once inside, the decor is stunning. Room are very comfortable but still manages to make you feel like part of nature. Bed and pillows were a bit hard but turned out to be just as comfortable in the end. Breakfast was good but limited. Understandable that they do not provide a big buffet spread as the resort only has 8-9 villas. Service is exceptional. Staff really pamper you and go out of their way to make your stay better. Made (from front office) helped to research for places to watch kecak dance around ubud town when I mentioned that I was interested. Special mention also goes out to the drivers Buda Yaso and the older one with a moustache (sorry I didn't get your name). The resort owner Frederick was also attentive and friendly, yet gave us our personal space. Truly a recommended place to stay if you are looking for a special holiday."Jing’s Residence: "A truly unique experience."
The hotel is made of a beautiful set of buildings in the style of old courtyard architecture. The rooms are extremely comfortable and you do not hear a sound. The common areas, dining room, bar, library, are decorated with remarkable taste. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A unique experience!Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise and more"
This place is just incredible, after years of searching in Thailand, this is the hidden gem, paradise that I have been looking for. The island is incredible. The hotel is so well run, clean, amazing food and a fantastic yoga teacher. We just had the best time.Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "The Best"
"Just go! It's THE Best. I would suggest spending at least a week. We only got 4 days, and it wasn't enough. I can't wait to go back. The staff, food, and rooms were all wonderful. As far as Baans go, I'd recommend Baan Tamarind. It's location is awesome, and it's very private. Also if you like to snack get some from the mainland to bring. There isn't much snack wise, and it can get expensive to buy what snacks there are. "Bali Jiwa Villa: "Irresistible view over an oasis of nature…"
"For those who know what it means, there are some places in this world which cannot be described with words or pictures. Bali Jiwa Villa is one of them. When we first arrive the driver had to go through some retreat villages shortly after Ubud to finally rush into a luxurious jungle over an horizon of rice fields. At the end of a small path cutting directly through the piece of jungle, Bali Jiwa Villa entrance appeared like an oasis in the desert. The door opened and a charming Balinese woman welcome us with a heartful smile. She escort us to the Villa which was perfectly arranged and neat, she left and came back with a welcome drink and a refreshing towel. (...) Going around is quite easy. We personally recommend to rent a motorbike (just ask the staff) as driving is quite relax in this area. (...)Several local dining options are available around this area as well. Renting a car with a private driver is another option. To pampered yourself, Balinese Massage and Yoga Class are two delightful options, and for those feeling a little more sportive, cycling and rafting are two other possibilities. This place is a MUST in a lifetime, and a WOW!"Samanea Beach Resort: "Fabulous getaway!"
Superb villa accommodation for couple or families. The staff were superb as was the salt water swimming pool. Very lovely villas, comfortable beds, outside showers and inside bathrooms, cable TV, wireless, restaurant, man made beach and incredibly beautiful gardens. Be warned though that even though it is right on the sea, the sea comes up to a gown ups knees only! There is a very long jetty that takes you out further but again the tide is normally out - don't get me wrong it is still very pleasant. Mangrove is very clean, lots of wildlife especially birds. The staff could not do enough to help they were just great and overall I must say our experience was excellent. For a getaway from Phnom Penh or to just visit Kep it is the perfect place.Rachamankha: "Tranquility"
Thank you so much to Paul and his fabulous team for 5 wonderful days at the Rachamankha. Tranquil, serene, relaxing, and a great way to re-charge your life batteries ! Nothing was ever too much trouble and we felt very at home. Quality F&B too at the restaurant. Trying to work out when I can get back there soon.
