Mie Cafe: "Good menu well executed"
"Left our group for dinner here with my wife. Was not disappointed. Simple but very pleasant atmosphere. Very good service. A well thought out menu with interesting takes on Khmer cuisine. A great take on beef carpaccio, wonderful snake head fish ceviche, outstanding huge langoustinos in curry over sweet potato purée. The krill raviolis were were milder than expected, but well prepared. Great ice cream and sorbet. A coconut milk panna cotta with black rice and mango sorbet was wonderful. A little more expensive than other places, but worth it."Inle Princess Resort: "Best on the lake"
From the minute the engine on the boat turns off and the driver starts to paddle into the inlet towards the hotel you know this is good. Magical setting - good bar and restaurant, wonderful staff, great spa treatments, lots of activities can be arranged. Nothing is too much trouble.Mie Cafe: "Best Dinner in Siem Reap"
On our final night in Siem Reap we came here and it turned out to be our favorite restaurant. What a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting. We had the prix fix menu which was delicious from start to finish. Highly recommend this lovely gem.Jing’s Residence: "We still dream about it!!"
Jing's Residence is a chinese gem inside the walled city of Pingyao. The hotel is located into a historic courtyard that was carefully renewed to maintained its original characteristics. By the way, attention to every detail is something you will definitely find during your stay there. The decoration of the common areas, the bar, breakfast and the room, everything is made to make you feel you are in a special place. They serve west and chinese breakfast every morning, try both if you can. If you have the opportunity try the local dishes, the food is absolutely fantastic. We made noodles class and also recommend, they offer other special activities such as origamis classes for adult and children too. We stayed for 3 nights but had a train only in the evening so the offer us a late check out (actually more than late, we left the hotel only at 8pm!) with no extra cost. This made all the difference in our trip. Staff was always more than friendly and helpful. and they also speak good english. It is expensive but worth every penny. We can't praise this hotel enough. #❤️GLENBURN TEA ESTATE: "Magical Space"
"At the end of a long, bumpy ride from Bagdogra you arrive at a beautiful tea plantation set on a hill with day and night views in all directions. Will, Faye and the rest of the staff could not be more accommodating. From a wakeup tea or coffee in your room to three wonderful meals a day it is a special place. The staff will take you on a tour of the tea plantation and villages, hiking to the river, tours to Darjeeling - you name it. You are met at the airport and returned after your stay. We stayed three nights which was minimal to take it all in. Guides tell us that after the monsoon season the place is green and the mountains in full view. "Cuisine Wat Damnak: "New Year Eve treat"
We loved our meal on new years eve. Great value for 6 courses of quality food, particularly loved the Amuse Bouche. Staff were very nice and the chef visited each table. Made the evening special.Satri House: "Wonderful hotel, highly recommended!"
I staied for about 6 nights at Satri house and more or less everything was just perfect! The house is beautiful with wonderful little interior design details. The garden is amazing and the rooms are lovely. I had a terrasse and each day at 4 o'clock, I listened to the monch's praying and chanting- great! Breakfast was really tasty. The staff was so lovely and helpful. The hotel rates are not cheap but definitly worth the money! The Twelve Hotel: "Excellent"
Extraordinary hotel. Located in the heart of Bangkok this beautiful old building is a haven of peace with Athy and Sebastien particularly pleasant hosts, good advice and really professional Great rooms, 2 magnificent outdoor pools, and very affordable prices. An absolute must go. A ++++Dewakan: "WONDERFUL! FANTASTIC! Whatever you call~"
If you are looking for a restaurant with amazing food and great atmosphere, it is THE place! The food looks astonishingly good and tastes wonderfully ! You can count on the great team in the kitchen, they will not let you down!Le Du Wine Bar & Restaurant: "Worth seeking out"
Glad we found this! We stumbled onto Le Du on our way to another restaurant where we had reservations. It looked so interesting we made a reservation for the following night. Choose options for each of the four courses. Each is creative and well prepared. A modern take on more tradtional thai ingrediants with a french influence. Each dish is complex and the server carefully explains what is being served and how it was prepared. They offer wine flights, go for it. Each wine was perfect with the food that it accompanied. Hard to have made better wine selections. A generous pour of all four wines (four courses) unlike many wine flights. Easy walk from skytrain staion Chong Nosi. My ONLY critisism is that for the thrid course they only have one option that does not have a surcharge. It was fantastic, but would have liked at least one more no sur charge choice.
