Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "my kwerky home in Bangkok"

Review by: Sam S | Source: tripadvisor.com
Two families one with 5 people and the other with 4 people stayed in the 3 and 2 bed apartments for 3 nights.Definitely the best option for families and the 3 bed apartment had lots of sitting space in. The rooftop pool was long enough for serious lap swimming and very welcome after a hot and muggy day. Unfortunately the hot water system had broken down for the apartments and amazingly we were offered to move into another 3 bed apartment - found later that the owner used this for personal use as an overflow to his own apartment. We were entertaining some other friends the first evening , so had them cover over to us for drinks and we went downstairs to the restaurant for dinner and had our own private dining area.It seemed the restaurant is quite popular with many people from outside coming to eat here. The owner has collected all sorts of objects and paraphernalia which created the "kwerky"decor . The barman made some very good cocktails and his twist on G&T was awesome! It seemed that the whole place was run with only 4 to 5 staff who were jack of all from manning the front, to taking orders in the bar or the restaurant, offering room service and also acting as concierge - our Marigold in Bangkok!

Maison Polanka: "Our second home"

Review by: Brandon O | Source: Trip Advisor
We just loved how they treat their guests like their own family. We stayed here for 4 days and loved it. Our room is so clean and the best part is that the food being served to us when we go back to the hotel after a long tiring day at the temple is tasty! Over all the place itself is magical. We loved the pool an the garden with a lot of flowers blooming.

The Village House: "Fine Dining experience in a village life… Interesting"

Review by: LoveSunlight | Source: Trip Advisor
"My 2nd visit to this resort since my last year stayed. This time was a bit different experience compared my previous because it's happened to be the yearly Rainforest World Music Festival 2016. It's full house and my 1st experience to stay in a dormitory style. Very clean and just nice with 6 beds in a room. I would categorize this as luxury dormitory style. For those who are planning to come for this yearly event, I would suggest you to stay around Santubong area where it easy for you to access to RWMF2016. The Village has taken over everything for their guests, hassle free during my stays here. To my surprised, our breakfast, dinner and supper are included during this period of time in one price. The most impressed was the 4 courses fine dining dinner set. Awesome!... The only downside of my stays here are the foods quality has dropped especially during breakfast time. Our ordered has taken wrongly and we were rushing to check out. Overall the foods are bit too salty. I can understand because of this festive has keeping the staffs so busy and tired but really need to maintain it quality. I will still come back again but not during any festive period."

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Amazing food, exceptional service!"

Best restaurant in Yangon! The truffle ravioli is amazing. Great atmosphere. The staff delivers top notch, excellent service. You can tell they've really put a lot of love into this place. Highly recommend!

Rachamankha: "Beautiful hotel"

Review by: Jamie W | Source: Trip Advisor
Aesthetically pleasing hotel with beautiful furniture and good location. Clean and old Thai style rooms, with a deco touch. My only complaint would be the staff attitude was a bit off occasionally. Also the bar the first night said they could serve us but we couldn't drink there, so we sat by the pool with the mozzies. The second night we came back for a night cap a little earlier than the first night and the bar was again closed at 10. I saw a few couples on both occasions wandering around obviously looking to have a drink and chill before bed.

Cuisine Wat Damnak: "Elegant food and service"

Review by: getmeonaplane_10 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I enjoyed a dinner here as part of our honeymoon this week. I had the 6 course vegetarian menu, and my wife had one of the six course omnivorous options (including a frogs legs option!). All courses were simply superb. Beautiful balanced flavours were supported by technical flair. Service was perfect, warm yet unobtrusive. The decor was subtle and the atmosphere calm. Truly, this was one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed. Thank you!"

Locavore: "A must-experience in Ubud"

Review by: 20Nothings | Source: Trip Advisor
My husband and I had a truly memorable dining experience at Locavore during our honeymoon to Bali just two weeks ago. Not only is the food incredible and service superb, but the local ingredients provide such an amazing introduction to the place, time and history of this part of the world. We enjoyed dinner at Locavore on our first night in town and it colored the entire trip. In fact, we loved it so much that we stopped in at The Rooster (their bar across the street) and Locavore To Go (their grab-and-go spot just a few doors down) over the next few days. Do not miss this spot on your trip. Worth every single penny.

MesaStila Resort and Spa: "Best Honeymoon spot"

Review by: gena D | Source: Trip Advisor
"My husband and i have literally just left the resort and i want to go back. I have had an amazing time. 1. The place was beautiful 2. The facilities were amazing. 3. The staff were very attentive, friendly and made our stay memerabe. 4. Very luxurious We traveled for 24 hours and as the drove us through the front gates we saw the beautiful building (old stationhouse) they use as a lobby. All the buildings on the site were rescued from destruction and given new life. The detail even down to the hot towels on arrival made us feel so welcome. That little touch helped wipe our travels off our face. The spa treatments are very well priced. Our hamam with a body scrub was very needed, and part of the reason i want to go back. The food were great and the breakfast veey yummy. My favorite part was watching my husbands face drinking the tonic at breakfast. They offer various brews that help clease the body. As i worked at a head office for organic juicing i know that all are very healthy and great quality. There was a previous comment by someone about things taking longer. Yes they do because the staff take care to make sure things are right. If you stayed as long as we did(6 days/5night) then you would know they take just as much pride in the place as the owners must do. Plenty of activites to satisfy."

Mathis Retreat: "Nice stay, good pool and friendly staf"

Review by: Tschoumakers | Source: Trip Advisor
We stayed a total of 8 nights in Mathis retreat, locally known as Kenanga. We booked a room/bungalow that was a bit more luxury. It was a very nicely decorated and spacious room with a good bed. The breakfast was nice, especially the baker's selection (croissant, pain au chocolat and toast), but after 8 nights we would have liked to have a bit more choices, especially some healthy options. We had a lunch in the restaurant and it was really nice. The pool is very good, overlooking the rice fields. The last day our flight was in the evening and the manager offered us a late check out for free! Staff is very friendly. They offer a free shuttle to Ubud centre, but we preferred a scooter, which was a bit quicker.
