Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Idyllic retreat"
"Just outside Pokhara, on a hilltop and away from the blare of the horns, it was just the break I needed in this stylish lodge in its idyllic setting. With probably the very best views of the Annapurna mountains the view from my bungalow across the valley to the Fish Tail Mountain was enchanting. It was a lovely clear morning, so certainly a wonderful way to start the day. I'd visited Tiger Mountain Lodge a few years earlier, so I was delighted to return again for a weekend. Marcus Cotton, owner of the hotel is excellent company and I enjoyed very much chatting with him over coffee, sitting on the terrace overlooking the magnificent views. (...) On my second morning, I was very glad I'd made the effort to get up at the crack of dawn to spend some time to admire the early morning sun and mountain views, and to stroll around the gardens birdwatching for an hour or so with Hari, one of the Lodge's three very knowledgeable resident nature guides. The staff here are attentive in the nicest, friendlies but unobtrusive way. I felt very spoilt, totally relaxed and was very sorry when I had to leave."Nimmu House: "A lovely place to relax and acclimatise"
"We started our journey in lovely Ladakh from Nimmu House. It was a perfect start. We received a very warm welcome followed by 2 days of comfort and lot of personal attention. The apricot and apple trees were in bloom and we were allowed to pick as and when! It is a great eco friendly retreat from busy city life. Chef Mahesh cooked superb meals which were served in the courtyard in open air as weather was lovely. Sumo is a wonderful lady who is an extremely helpful and pleasant person. Overall a very satisfying stay. Would recommend definitely. Free Wifi is available but in certain areas only., We started our journey to explore Ladakh with Shanti travels. They were brilliant right from pick up from delhi airport till the drop off 10 days later. I would also like to mention guide Wanchuk and Rigzin-driver; they were superb throughout our time in Ladakh."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Amazing! Can’t wait to go back"
"We were there for 3 nights and it was glorious. Everything about this place is perfect: - staff: wonderful, very kind and helpful - rooms: the little huts are just perfect. They are private, wonderfully decorated and have everything one might need. Natural soaps are provided and filtered coffee - grounds: the location is magical. You see the beautiful Annapurna range. MUST DO: get the sunrise coffee and cookies. They will bring it to your room just in time for the sunrise view. Walk up to the pool - there is a beautiful reflection - food- we had all our meals there and everything was absolutely delicious. The Nepalese food is exquisite. Breakfast is lovely. Great coffee and biscuits. Do not hesitate to book this place. You won't regret it. The only danger is that you might not want to leave it. We went for a day to explore Pokhara and kept missing the glorious calm and soothing atmosphere of Tiger resort We will be back! Room Tip: Make sure you eat at the terrace. Get a hot water bottle at night ;)"Rak Ko Jae Seoul: "Traditional house in bustling Seoul"
"Stayed for a night in the separate house (which has 2 bathrooms) with 3 other friends. The house was well maintained and clean!Hosts were responsive and helpful. You could borrow the hanboks from the host to try on and take Instagram-worthy pictures with the traditional setting. As if you just hopped on the time machine! What we love most was the breakfast! It's ""SEOUL YUMMY!"" (So yummy, pun intended). Just by looking at the picture is enough to salivate!' It's so good that we felt all other meals we had during our trip were just so plain and average! Words can't express how good it was. You have to try it to know it! :) The location of the house is not so straightforward. It would be good if you have wifi-egg to navigate and locate using your phone! Otherwise I would advise you to get detailed directions from the host before the trip. "Satri House: "Beautiful quiet hotel"
Our plane arrival was two hours late and Satri House was there to pick us up on arrival. The service was kind, friendly, and gracious throughout our stay. Navi, the guest services manager was present to offer dining suggestions and answer any questions we might have. All of the staff were excellent. The hotel is arranged in beautiful gardens and pools around a Lao prince's residence. The furnishings and interiors are antiques and one of a kind art pieces. It is almost like staying in an art museum. The impressions are fantastic. The food in the dining room was excellent. We had dinner twice and breakfast every morning. It is good value for money. We used the hotel bicycles to go sight seeing which was fun. It was overall a wonderful experience. We stayed in room 622 which was large, artfully arranged, and quiet, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan which we loved. The Village House: "Fine Dining experience in a village life… Interesting"
"My 2nd visit to this resort since my last year stayed. This time was a bit different experience compared my previous because it's happened to be the yearly Rainforest World Music Festival 2016. It's full house and my 1st experience to stay in a dormitory style. Very clean and just nice with 6 beds in a room. I would categorize this as luxury dormitory style. For those who are planning to come for this yearly event, I would suggest you to stay around Santubong area where it easy for you to access to RWMF2016. The Village has taken over everything for their guests, hassle free during my stays here. To my surprised, our breakfast, dinner and supper are included during this period of time in one price. The most impressed was the 4 courses fine dining dinner set. Awesome!... The only downside of my stays here are the foods quality has dropped especially during breakfast time. Our ordered has taken wrongly and we were rushing to check out. Overall the foods are bit too salty. I can understand because of this festive has keeping the staffs so busy and tired but really need to maintain it quality. I will still come back again but not during any festive period."RACHAMANKHA: "Slice of heaven in Chiang Mai"
"This hotel was absolutely beautiful and a refuge to come home to after a day strolling the busy streets of Chiang Mai. There is always a wonderful aroma of incense around the property...I think it was Sandalwood, but nevertheless was just delicious. The rooms were spacious and the bed was so comfortable, again after a long day. The lounges that surround the property are also delightful and I just wish I had had more time to sit and read and enjoy a drink while enjoying the decor. It is an elegant property, yet not stuffy and very welcoming. "Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "Excellent experience"
Overall it's a very wonderful experience. The vintage look, traditional music playing in the room, Nyonya snacks, breakfast and the service deserve good reputation. I will definitely visit it again in my next tri to Penang.Tugu Lombok: "A slice of tropical paradise"
"In a 3-week adventure around Bali and Lombok, the Tugu Lombok was our absolute favourite place that we stayed, hands down. The resort is stunning, the grounds are impeccable, the rooms are extraordinarily beautiful. The beach is white sand and turquoise waters. Every meal we ate (in both restaurants) was absolutely delicious. The breakfast spread is fantastic (with a particularly amazing fruit plate) and the assortment of snorkelling equipment, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards is a great way to pass afternoons on the water. Things are laid out so that you never feel crowded. But by far the best thing about Tugu Lombok is the staff. Everyone, from Sharon, the GM, and Henry, her right hand man, to the spectacular restaurant staff, spa team, housekeeping staff, and security, were the epitome of hospitality. The staff are professional, knowledgeable, and polite, and everything they do is heartfelt and done with a smile. They anticipated our every need before we even expressed them and made us feel enormously welcome during our entire stay. We can't recommend this spot enough to anyone travelling to Lombok (and even if you're not, you might want to change your plans to include the Tugu). One small note on rooms - we had read through previous TripAdvisor reviews and decided to take the overwhelmingly consistent advice to splurge on a Bhagavat Gita suite and we were completely blown away by the beauty and design of these extraordinary villas. "Villa Song Saigon: "Villa Song, an oasis of calm in Saigon"
Beautiful hotel, luxurious rooms and facilities. All the staff are so friendly and take care to ensure your stay is perfect. To sit by the river for breakfast is magical; didn't want to leave. Everything they do, they do so, so well. Although a short stay, so memorable, wish I was still there Location rated as excellent, a bonus not to be right in the city centre. The hotel speed boat service to the city centre is fantastic. Taxis cheap and plentiful if it's not available.
