The Island Lodge: "1 Night Not Enough"
"Paradise away from the city. Only stayed one night as part of a package. If relaxation with some tranquillity, good food and 5 star customer service - would recommend. It is a bit of a drive either from HCMC Airport of from where the Bassac Boat tours operate from. But well worth it. Would like to return for longer next time. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Sukoon Houseboat: "Perfect place for honeymoon"
"#Excellent service #recommended for couples #premium range #classic interior with renovated hifi rooms and bio toilets #rooftop restaurant #traditional ala carte food menus included in the package #owned unlimited ferry shuttle service"4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Paradise in the Jungle"
In a remote location, I can accommodate in a very luxurious and comfortable place. Breakfast is a lot, can have eggs with bacon and ham with hash brown, and pancakes (the other day is muesli with fruits), and fried noodles (or other day is fried rice). The staffs are modest and helpful. The excursions are wonderful.Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "A space for nature"
"Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge manages to knit together the very best in comfort, service and food, whilst making space for nature. A difficult feat to achieve, but one that I and my mother very much appreciated. There is no forced planting of exotic, introduced flowers and tightly strimmed grass, which seems to have become the standard everywhere around the world in boutique hotels and lodges. Instead, the focus is on allowing the smaller but essential things in life to flourish, such as butterflies and solitary bees, without the average guest even knowing these wonderful insects are there. Marcus and his team recognise the importance and value of these pollinators (we would have no coffee or chocolate if it was not for insects pollinating the flowers of these plant species!) and have cleverly crafted and created an environment that allows space for all. This is an ideal place for birding, but even better if you are interested in Lepidoptera. The team's knowledge and enthusiasm is nothing short of incredible, and I am truly in awe that so much time and effort is invested in compiling inventories of what they have found there. It is clear that this is not just a passing interest, or an attempt at green-wash to enhance visitor numbers, but a genuine desire to accurately record the diversity of the lodge. Many congratulations to you all. You have achieved the trickiest of things by providing first class accommodation, food and service without compromising the location. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"Satri House: "Like stepping back in time"
"The whole time we were staying in this hotel we couldn't help but feel we had stepped back into a past colonial era. This place is an original residence of a wealthy family and it has been so well preserved and maintained. The rooms are enormous with separate bath and toilet areas. The furnishings are original antiques mixed with local fabrics and craft wares. Totally divine. The breakfast is served in the quaint restaurant overlooking the Lotus pond and there is a very beautiful spa on site. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is brilliant. We were totally impressed with our stay here and when we return to LP we will certainly make this our number one choice for accommodation. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"Sandat Glamping Tents: "Lovely place"
"I stayed here for 3 nights with my two girls aged 3 and 5 and husband in one of the tents. Even though we had young children I didn't feel that anyone minded as it is/feels like a quiet retreat. Sublime surroundings made my stay feel like a real treat. The owners were staying on site when we were there and did introduce themselves which was nice. The tents are bug proof if you keep it all closed up and having a glass door made it feel very room like. At night you go to sleep listening to frogs and crickets... very romantic. You need some strong Deet thou ! We had a meal or two here and a couple in town, the transfer is around 15 mins through beautiful rice fields and over a couple of ravines. We had a free massage as we booked directly with the website, I paid in advance for the tent via the website. Lovely people, very nice manager. Thank you Sandat for a memorable stay."Mie Cafe: "Fantastic fusion"
"My wife and I had dinner and we were there in the early evening so had no trouble getting a table. This restaurant serves Khmer fusion which took us by surprise in that the dishes were visually stunning and amazing to eat - flavoursome with texture things going on, just brilliant. Not to be missed."Les Maisons Wat Ko: "“Maison Wat Kor – Peaceful, beautiful, welcoming”"
This is a small, simple hotel, where the emphasis is on the setting, the lake, the garden, the service rather than in-room facilities. The rooms are quite simple, but perfectly comfortable, with all the facilities you reasonably need, and mostly look over a wonderful little lake with waterlilies and all kinds of flowers. There is a small restaurant serving simple but beautifully prepared food, and offering three set breakfasts - all very well judged. The most notable thing, however, is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - they really make you feel as if you were in your own home. We cannot recommend if highly enough - we really didn't want to leave!Tugu Lombok: "Sublime wedding"
Hotel Tugu in Lombok is absolute paradise. We had the most sublime wedding here in August 2016. The architecture and grounds are jaw droppingly beautiful and the staff are incredibly attentive. Hanny, Evi and their team did a fabulous job decorating the venue, beyond our expectations, and were on hand to attend to our every need. We got married on the beach with the ocean as our backdrop, followed by drinks and canapes in the garden and dinner on the beach. The decorations and flowers for the ceremony were simply stunning and the table centre pieces were perfect. Every detail was thought of and taken care of. The food was fantastic and we had one of the best cheese cakes I've ever tasted for our wedding cake. Our honeymoon suite was like a small apartment, with a huge bathroom and a super jumbo king size bed....that's a technical term!! The architecture, Indonesian artefacts and decor at this hotel provide endless photo opportunities, not to mention the stunning beach. If you're thinking of having your wedding here, just do it! Our guests were blown away as we were and still talk about how amazing it was.4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Floating Paradise in the Jungle – Outstanding Service and Amazing Location"
"There are so many wonderful things about this hotel; the location, the staff, the activities, the atmosphere…. (…)The rooms are beautiful – poshest tent I have ever stayed in, and it really is floating – you can feel a gentle movement at night time and when people walk past – which I really liked. The people that work at the hotel and as trip guides are all mostly all from the local island opposite and surrounding village area which gave the whole experience a real charm. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful - it really was a perfect paradise. The hotel manager arranged our transport back to Phomn Penh for us (we opted for a shared VIP bus on the way back - which was $15 each and took about 5 hours). One of the members of staff waited with us in Tatai village until the mini bus arrived and loaded our bags etc… - truly exceptional and helpful service. One of the main highlights has to be waking up and diving straight into the river from your personal deck and also kayaking around the islands! This is an incredible experience not to be missed! "
