Rachamankha: "Well design secret hotel"

Review by: beico | Source: Trip Advisor
Very good place to relaxing. Nice swimming pool, kindness staff, and well design environment. Full of ancient boutiques furniture in the hotel. A nice place to make you feel peaceful. Superior room is small/simple. Although the electronic device in the room is old, I will still recommend this hotel, because of it's really beautiful.

Samanea Beach Resort: "Great Resort"

Review by: markmP8770RH | Source: Trip Advisor
"Loved staying here and the rooms were amazing. The staff were very friendly and were always there to help when needed. I traveled with my 2 daughters aged 3 and 6 and the staff were very accomodating to their needs and made sure they were well looked after as well. The rooms were spotless and the outdoor shower / bath was amazing. Would recommend to stay here and we will be going back for sure."

THE SAMAR: "Very different and lovely"

Review by: Aquajones | Source: Trip Advisor
"We booked this hotel quite a while ago and having read some of the more recent reviews I had started to get a little worried. I meed not have worried! We stayed here for 3 nights with our children (14&12). We were the only guests in the hotel at the time. We had two rooms which were joined by a living room and two large bathrooms. Beautiful. The hotel arranged our airport transfer which I would recommend. The pool is lovely and although they had problems with the filter at the time we stayed they had this fixed. The area around the pool is beautiful. The breakfast choice is limited but don't let that put you off the food was wonderful. I recommend the noodle soup. We ate lunch by the pool one day and it was beautifully presented and very tasty. All the staff were friendly and helpful. They organised a tuk tuk driver for us to take us to the temples. Chet was great, he would explain things to us and point places out on the way. He also took us to the silk factory one morning (well worth a visit). The girls were given a complimentary facial which they thoroughly enjoyed. I booked a full body scrub which was delightful. When we arrived back at our room each night the hotel had left us local cakes - this was such a sweet thought. The hotel is a little way out of the town but we enjoyed the peace that this gave and also the journeys in and out of the town - a great way to see a little more of the area. I would happily recommend this little gem to anyone. Stayed April 2017, traveled with family"

Dewakan: "Pride of Malaysia: A culinary journey that reflects Malaysia’s heritage"

Review by: Crystal C | Source: Trip Advisor
"We went for the full works - a 10-course dinner at RM207 per person, and we were not disappointed in the least! Although there are 10 courses described in the menu, we were served a number of finger foods to munch on before the first appetizers were served. , such as fried fish fritters that taste like the traditional East Coast snack, keropok lekor and were shaped like long, elegant twigs that were thought were merely decorative items at first. The starters included a refreshing razor clam salad, the razor clams being a staple of many local seafood restaurants, but given a twist as was served with shaved ice flavoured with a medley of savoury local tastes and colours that made it look more like a dessert at first - only to be pleasantly surprised by the savory, exotic flavours blended together in an icy bite. The next few courses were equally outstanding, taking us through the kind of preparation techniques you would only find in the fanciest restaurants, from flavour-infused foam, to purees and emulsions, meat cooked confit-style, and even to salted egg yolks harded, pressed into thin slices, and broken into brittle pieces... and yet using the humblest of flavours, vegetables and ingredients that remind any Malaysian that grew up in this country of grandma's cooking. Another stand out dish was the Forbidden Porridge, which had almost-raw slivers of ox tongue served on soft, sticky black glutinous rice and accompanied by a mushroom and wild vegetable broth that they boil in a coffee syphon, with the whole vegetables, roots and all, thrown into the mix, for an incredibly heady flavour that becomes especially intense when you pour it over the ox tongue and black rice and mix all of it together. The desserts are equally impressive, from the meringues to the ganache to the ice cream made from delicious, Southeast Asian local flavours. Again, just as the razor-clam blended dessert inspiration (in the form of shaved ice sprinkled with coloured syrups) in a savory dish, the desserts push the boundaries by using savory flavours eg. pulut (glutinous rice) in a sweet ice cream. It's an experience that starts off confusing, then pleasantly surprising, and then ends in an incredibly satisfying way. Service was great, especially impressive as they are manned by a staff made mostly of students-in-training. If you love fine dining, exquisite cooking methods, and aromatic Southeast Asian flavours, Dewakan is THE restaurant to visit in Malaysia. In one sitting, this is possibly THE most varied and comprehensive tasting of the Malaysian food culture prepared with the finest culinary techniques by a team of professional chefs."

The place is absolutely gorgeous with great decoration, super comfortable rooms and bed, beautiful gardens and pool, very helpful staff. The spa is also great as is the breakfast and homemade jams! Well located too. It’s a treat!"

The Island Lodge: "The Reason to Visit the Mekong Delta"

Review by: J-N_Travelers | Source: tripadvisor.com
This is a beautiful property with amazing staff and service! The room was very clean, modern and spacious. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, the spa was great, and the property pristine. The owner, Michel, reached out to us directly after we made our reservation and offered transfers from Ho Chi Minh City and back at a reasonable price, which made logistics easy. Michel and his wife, Francoise, also greeted us upon arrival, adding a nice personal touch to our stay. We highly recommend taking advantage of some of the activities offered by the Island Lodge - we did the Seven Bridges Bicycle Tour and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Vietnam. But stay away from My Tho proper, the city really has nothing to offer; just enjoy the lodge, the island, and the river instead. If you are traveling to the Mekong delta, I cannot imagine a better place to stay than the Island Lodge - simply amazing.

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Perfect Stay"

Review by: Lramsd | Source: Trip Advisor
"We stayed for a week at Golden Buddha Resort at the beginning of December. Despite a lot of wet weather we had the most fantastic time. It is impeccably run which can’t be easy considering they choose to employ people from the island who don’t have previous hotel training plus the beauty of the resort is that nature is a big part of it. The houses are beautifully designed out of teak with open air sitting areas overlooking the sea and open bathrooms. Bugs are part of the experience! We stayed at Baan tao tanu. A lovely house for the 2 of us and it was the perfect honeymoon stay. It was close to the club house where we had opted for full board food which was divine. I lived in Thailand for 3 years and this was by far my best eating experience. Everyday the menu changed. All of the coconut in their cooking is from fresh coconuts on the island. They don’t cut any corners and so you get the authentic taste of Thai food. Having said that though their roast vegetable salad was out of this world. I could have eaten it every day. Their betelnut wraps were also one of my faves. Saturday night they laid on a fabulous buffet which started with cocktails on the beach. They made my husband a delicious heart shaped chocolate cake for his birthday. We went to yoga class several times. The teacher was excellent and able to teach various levels in the class. We spent the rest of our days walking the stunning deserted beaches, reading, playing board games, having excellent massages and relaxing. This resort is stylish, relaxed, professionally run with extremely friendly staff who seem like one big family ( and probably are) "

Villa Song Saigon: "Just perfect"

Review by: Maryline S | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Villa song is a little gem of a boutique hotel by the Saigon river away from busy HCMC, which can be reached by free shuttle in under 25 min. It has a pool which is a godsend after a hot day in town. The room was lovely spacious and well appointed from the Nespresso machine, kettle, free mini bar, apple tv remote if you wish to download some stuff... i could go on and on. (...) The personnel was very attentive eager to help always with a smile and well organized, which is a credit to the management team. This was the most perfect way to end our tour of Vietnam, we left on a high note though wishing we had stayed longer. I don't think you will find anything better that this hidden gem"

Hotel Tugu Lombok: "SUPERB HOSPITALITY AND ESTATE"

Review by: Julie L | Source: Trip Advisor
"As soon as I arrived I was welcomed with smiles and friendly greeting from the staffs. What a breath taking beautiful property it is. As far as you can see, your eyes are pampered with calm white sand beach, huge garden and unique, antique and magistic buildings . The menu in the restaurant are combined western and Asian cuisines and it came in generous portion. The room was big, faboulous and very detail facilitated. Open, green and spacious bathroom. The service and the hospitality of each staff there is the top. Super friendly, very helpful and professional. I forgot to bring my daily meds somehow, and they managed to get them in the farmacy which I could tell was not so nearby. So relief that they could get it exactly in same day! So, thank you Tugu Lombok family! For the best staying in Lombok!! Hope to see you all again. "
