Satri House: "Indeed a secret retreat"
"Beautiful hotel with a charming service. The room was very nicely decorated. Even if not in the city center, it is easy to go by bicycle and see all major attractions of the city. A little minus for the air conditioning unit located just above the bed."Sea Dance Resort: "Wonderful resort"
I have booked for three nights. The biggest problem this resort has is its location. Not the best one I would say. Being located in Choeng Mon, the taxi drivers will struggle finding it as it's not on the main road and the signage is unclear. The fun in Samui is in Chaweng and if you're not renting a bike you're being ripped off by taxi drivers to get there, unless you will share a baht bus/tuk tuk... The other minus for my stay was the weather. Unfortunately, almost forgot how the sun looks like during my stay.. too much rain and clouds.. and this stopped me from spending some time at the wonderful pool this resort has. The staff is incredibly nice and the food is good though expensive.. the decoration is amazing, the garden and nature is heaven... If I were to recommend it, I'd say it's for people who look for peace and quiet, couples and families. But you should definitely research the weather, it rains a lot in Samui!! From what I heard until October it's nice and you would definitely enjoy your stay at Sea Dance.. also I had an unexpected guests in the first night, a lizzard :)Rahai’i Pangun: "Easily the best escape from Jakarta"
"Out of the city - straight into the jungle ! I just finished my third trip with Wow Borneo. Its so great to have a guarenteed chance to see the Orangutans. The service was excellent and it was a breeze to communicate with Gaye and her crew. This is the kind of professional service I expect from Holiday destinations here in Indonesia."Blackitch Artisan Kitchen: "An incredible, unique experience. Must do for Foodies"
The calibre of food served here was exceptional. I couldn't find much information online at all after reading about it in the Guardian earlier this year before we went so we took a gamble, and I'm so glad we did. Chef Black served us 9 courses, all surprises and chosen by him, throughout the evening, coming out and explaining in detail each one and why he paired ingredients together. Distinctive fine dining food with an asian influence - lots of fish! We paid 1200 Baht for a bottle of wine (which was absolutely delicious) and 1600 Baht each for the food. If you're some who loves fine food and the complexities of pairing, go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed.Tugu Bali: "Excellent…as always"
I have been to Tugu Bali many times since 2004 and it maintains a high level of quality with wonderful and friendly staff, great service, gorgeous views, easy access to the beach and very comfortable rooms...will be back! The Island Lodge: "Beautiful hotel just on the Mekong river"
We spend 3 nights at the Lodge and really loved it! Very nicely decorated , in lush greenery, amazing and friendly service and great food. And so nice to discover on a bike tour with Michel the way local people leave. Everyone was super friendly! I would definitely go again to enjoy the lodge and explore further the island!4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Pure Serenity"
When you are done with the temples in Siem Reap or the noisy city life of Phnom Penh this is the perfect place to relax for 2-3 days. There is nothing bad to say about 4 Rivers Floating Lodge. Great staff, fantastic general manager, delicious food, beautiful rooms and pure peace in a plastic free environment. You will love it. It takes time to get there but it’s worth the trip.Samuay & Sons: "Number 1"
"Fabulous! Chef/ owner trained in San Fransico for 2 years, and has worked at an array of influential restaurants and hotels. Talented and gifted, his dishes are extraordinarily delicious, and put together with mindful thought and experience. Udon Thani is very fortunate to have such a master of food and will undoubtably be launched into celebrity status soon. Restaurant is tastefully decorated, I only wish the seats were padded, and menu had pictures. Staff very professional all wearing matching uniforms. It is only a matter of time, this restaurant will be rated number one (1) in Udon Thani!"Mathis Retreat: "Ótima opção em Ubud"
very nice hotel with beautiful views of the rice field. Comfortable room, the internet and takes in the room, good breakfast and very kind staff. It has a one-way shuttle and coming to the center of Ubud.Maduzi Hotel: "An heavenly boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok"
Hotel Maduzi is a charming heaven just in Bangkok center. The 40 rooms are all having their own charm from standard room to luxurious suites with antiques and a very special touch combing thai and japanese atmosphere.
