THE SAMAR: "Idyllic oasis perfect recovery for Angkor wat visitors"

Review by: swalk262 | Source: Trip Advisor
We visited Cambodia for the sole purpose of seeing the historic and amazing Angkor wat sites. Thankfully we chose a gem of a hotel in the Samar. This is the perfect hidden gem, it is an oasis of peace and tranquility, and a unique boutique hotel. The hotel is of a high standard, with friendly helpful staff who can arrange your trips and ensure your stay is excellent. The pool is quiet and essential to aid recovery from the heat and busyness of visiting popular historic sites. Food was excellent with prompt service when required to catch your transport for touring. Rooms were clean, comfortable, peaceful and unique making your stay special. This is definitely a luxury hotel where you are made to feel special with excellent service and standards. This is a perfect special place to stay and I would definitely recommend it and will definitely return.

Jing’s Residence: "Oasis in the hustle & bustle"

Review by: LuxuryCoupleScotland | Source: Trip Advisor
"We can strongly recommend Jing's Residence and the walled City of Pingyao. Pingyao is a full-on, in your face experience - the sights, aromas and sounds of an ancient city engaged in modern commerce - a special experience.. That special experience can be enhanced by staying in the centre of the walled City at Jing's. Jing's is in the thick of the action, but offers a tranquil, high quality refuge to recharge your batteries. Jing's is located in a 400 year old courtyard, tastefully renovated to offer international class accommodation with 1st class service, highly attentive staff and excellent dining. If you go to Pingyao, a stay at Jing's Residence is a must."

Inle Princess Resort: "Paradise in the middle of another paradise."

Review by: martains | Source: tripadvison.com
"The hotel lays on the lake, and you need to get there by boat. The trip is so relaxing you starting getting into the rythm. The last part of the trip, has to be done rowing, they do not allow the noise of the boat motors bother their customers. It is just incredible. They preserve the customer rest and we even got a note from the direction apologizing because a monastery nearby had night prayers due to some festivity. The room we got was facing the lake directly. We woke up in the morning with the amazing views, and even some ducks feeding right below us. We enjoyed the best sunsets and dawns from our room porch. We visited in December, one of the coldest months there (around 18-20 ºC) but we got the option to light our chimney (yes we had one) and warm up there. The restaurant was spacious and the food amazing. They service was super educated, we got a waiter very young that clearly was being trained and we could only praise the teacher and the pupil. We did not fully use the rest of installations, but we really enjoyed our stay. I would come back if I could."

David’s Kitchen: "Best Restaurant on Trip To Thailand"

Review by: Rochelle L | Source: Trip Advisor
"I recently visited Davids Kitchen on my honeymoon to Thailand. My husband and I came in with high expectations given the incredibly positive reviews. It was the most fantastic dining experience I can remember - I wish I could give it more than five stars. The host, Tea, was chatty and delightful as we waited for our table. He ensured that the table was customized for our arrival with personalized flower decor for our honeymoon celebration (and a bouquet for me upon departure). The staff was incredibly attentive throughout the evening. The chef came by before we left for feedback on the meal (which was superb so we could only lavish him with praise). Davids Kitchen was a highlight of our trip to Thailand and certainly a highlight of our time spent in Chiang Mai. I cannot recommend strongly enough for a truly special (and delicious) evening."

Villa Mathis: "Excellent time at Villa Mathis"

Review by: Moad B | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and i stayed at La Villa Mathis in Bali and this was one of the best experiences we ever had, not only due to the beauty of the place (it was paradise on earth) but the way the stuff did everything they could in their power to makes us feel home. The prime examples was the great help they provided me to plan for my wife's birthday and they even allowed us to stay longer after the check out time so that we do not stress for our late flight with access non-only to our room but also all the facilities they had on site until before our flight. The highlight of the place were the amenities (different luxuries pools and salons where you can hang out as well as Jacuzzi and massage rooms) but the service with a smile was above and beyond what we ever experienced in any other luxury hotels/villas. A big thanks to the lady at the front who helped us plan every single day of our stay and to the excellent management provided by Frank with the help of his staff. We will definitely come back soon.

Muang La Lodge: "Lovey setting and relaxing atmosphere"

Review by: lyndam | Source: Trip Advisor
"Lovely setting in the hills and next to the river; rooms are set in the gardens. Rooms are large, as are the bathrooms, and well-equipped and comfortable. Rooms are access via outside steps. Meals are served on the atmospheric outside terrace overlooking the river, it is a set menu but definitely fine dining. One little moan through, we were offered coffee after our meal and were then surprised to see it billed on our account at the end; it needs to be included (preferable) or made clear that it is extra. The swimming pool is accessed via a ""trip trap"" bridge which crosses the river to an island and the salt pools in the river can be accessed from the gardens. There are also spa pools in the gardens which use the natural salt water from the river. t was definitely a lovely experience staying here and we were very well looked after."

Tugu Bali: "Discovery of a Treasure"

Review by: Maisie C | Source: tripadvisor.com
This hotel was one of the most wonderful experiences we have had in many years of traveling the world, staying in some of the finest places. The hotel is unique, Staff is superb and food experience special. We had the Royal Tugudom dinner with our family and while relatively expensive was certainly worth it. The staff went beyond the norm and Pande and Frank were exceptionally helpful We were in the Puri le Mayeur suite. What a treat.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Just Sensational !"

Review by: Alan B | Source: Trip Advisor
"This restaurant would STAND OUT anywhere from its pure white Zen architecture with its giant wall of glass & bamboo roof overlooking the Inya Lake in Yangon its pure perfection. We arrived for dinner and decided to have cocktails outside by the lake filled with water lilies. Perfect Yuzu Sours & fresh blended juices so good you could of drunk them all night, we were so happy and oblivious to time it was just us and the lake.Although happy the restsurant was full but with its spaced tables its just you ! We were offered the choice of seating inside or on the upper terrace which we chose. They offer two set menus of four or five courses plus a la carte. We selected the Lotus menu which offered more seafood/fish options. Presentation was modern and beautifully simplistic with each mouthful an explosion of perfectly balanced flavours. We chose four courses appetizer soup main with a choice on all and desert, we could of added cheese. Its European with a touch of Asian ingredients but the sauces that dot the plate are super and bring out the Asian taste. They offer a very nice wine list and some super wines by the glass. This is One superbly run restaurant, everything has been thought out with impeccable friendly service. Dinner was so good we came back for a late Sunday lunch and was able then to really see how beautiful the setting was. To the Chef & the beautiful Lady owner Thank You xx "
