Amata Lanna: "Charming oasis in busy area"
"Already fell in love with this historical building and courtyard at the time I arrived. Very lovely architecture with extremely welcoming staff assisting upon checkin. This boutique hotel has 12 rooms and everyone in the hotel tries to make you feel like home. Rooms and hotel area are spacious, very comfortable and clean. Location is perfect as it is just block away from the Big C supermarket, The night Bazaar, Saturday market and also very convenient access to major spots of Chiang Mai. And yet you don’t feel like being in such a busy area once you walk into the hotel - a great escape from the busy town. If you’re looking for an unique stay in good location, this is a place you would love"Cabochon Hotel & Residence: "First Class Hotel in BKK"
We stayed at the Cabochon for a total of 7 nights and our stay was fantastic. The rooms were very spacious, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel, especially as it's well connected to the BTS line and you can get anywhere very quickly.Cuca: "Favourite restaurant"
We went to Cuca on our last night in Jimbaran, saving the best for last! Such a beautiful setting and the staff are lovely. The meal is tapas style, beautifully presented and delicious. Everyone should experience Cuca at least onceDavid’s Kitchen: "Amazing place, amazing people, amazing night"
"When we googled the ""Best fine dining in Chiang Mai"", David's Kitchen popped up which left us no choice but to try it. Online booking system made the booking so easy and convenient while the transportation services offered just made the life of a tourist couple easier. The architecture and the decoration were so exquisite and appropriate while the greens just somehow blent into modern buildings. Oyster for appetiser is a must with the fresh taste and unique sauce. For the main course, we ordered the beef cheek and a steak. With a bottle of Pinot noir, the food upgraded the fine restaurant towards perfection. Staffs were undoubtedly helpful and nice, providing all the fantastic recommendations. And we were so thrilled that Mr. David came to us and shared his story with us, putting a perfect ending note towards the night. For anyone who wants to have a wonderful quite night, this is the place you want to go!"Mie Cafe: "Great Authentic Cambodian Food"
We recently ate here and had some very well prepared authentic khmer cusine for an extremely reasonable price. The fish amok and chicken amok were wonderfully prepared as was the pork mixed with eggplant and not overly spicy beef curry. Nice atmosphere and good service.Satri House: "The ONLY place to stay in Luang Prabang"
Well best kept secrets are probably best kept as otherwise next time you go the place is full! BUT I cannot let my recent stay go un-reviewed, the team at Satri deserve praise. Thank-you to Gianni, Keo and the team for a perfect stay and a wonderfully managed event. We had 40people with us, most staying at Satri but all attending dinner on the last night of our stay and despite the potential hassles from indecisive weather Gianni put together a magical evening, with impeccable service from his team. The hotel is truly a beautiful house, a once royal residence it oozes class, elegance and a sense of history. Travel for me must provide a sense of place and Satri provides it in spades, from the delightful Madame Mem (a lovely local lady who shares her stories of Luang Prabang) to the décor, location and kind attention from the staff sharing their local secrets on what to see, do and where to dine...I felt like I was sharing a home rather than staying in a hotel. The epitome of boutique hotel experience, book now before it becomes unbookable!!!The Island Lodge: "Lovely boutique resort that focus on the little details"
We stayed four nights here and very much enjoyed the place. The hotel welcomed us with scented moist towels, fresh juice and a snack. We were ushered into a good sized room with thoughtful touches like a good coffee machine, various toiletries and snacks. The hosts, Michel and Francoise, are kind and attentive as are the staff. The food was tasty and well presented and the small spa was also good. We definitely recommend this hotel.Villa Song Saigon: "Magic amongst the Mayhem"
"Villa Song is on the river away from the manic mayhem of Saigon, we loved it. I would not liked to have stay in Saigon itself, its very noisy, dirty and smelly at Villa Song we had the best of both worlds. A boat takes guest back and forth to the city so its easy to get to any of the sights fairly easily. It suitated in an area that has a number of International Schools and there are some reasonalbe resturants and and shop. We chose to eat at the hotel as we were only there for three nights and it was a joy to sit by the river and watch life go by. The food was delicious and resonably priced for good quality fare. Our room had a small balcony and was very comfortable. Breakfast was delcious and plentiful. An excellent stay."Jing’s Residence: "Live like a weathly merchant in Ancient China! The Real Experience!"
"I was a wealthy merchant 500 years ago...my home was full of carved wood and art and lavish fabrics..I had a staff eager to please my every need..I sat in my warm lush living room looking at the last bits of the sun as it set over my ornate terra cotta roof... This is a review of Mr Jings Residence..where you get to pretend to live in another time and place... Pingyao is an ancient walled city cut off from car traffic that looks and operates as it has for a thousand years. If you want to experience historical China this is the place to visit! It's crowded with Chinese tourists in spring and summer but still a must see. In a day you can do a quick tour and see the many restored museums, temples and explore the nooks and and secret walkways that make up this city. (...)The courtyards and sitting spaces laced into the ancient buildings..all your own private sanctuary in warmer weather... The restaurant chef and Jing's Restaurant staff were excellent. Unlike a lot of problems with service in China, the folks at Jing's were helpful, friendly and eager to please. A diverse menu of Thai, Chinese and western food was great. Their spring rolls were light, crispy and perfect!!! My Thai peanut chicken was sooo good! I wondered how the chef could source food in the dead of winter..but amazingly he did!My husband had pork that was fresh and savory. The folks at Jing's were always there to help..they even packed us a picnic of banana chocolate bread for our train ride to Beijing. This place is ancient, quiet and yet modern and luxurious. A must do for any visit to China! Bluntly, I would put Pingyao on any travel plan just to stay at Jing's Residence...It was that good!"The Island Lodge: "Serenity"
"Recently went here a second time and it pure bliss. The resort is stunning, beautifully designed accompanied by good service and a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. We live in Saigon and we usually travel outside the country when we have any spare time but we make time to come to Island Lodge because it's that's great. We're actually going for our third visit in less than a week. Can't wait. "
