"My wife and I stayed at Thahara in Pindaya on our last night in Myanmar. What a delightful end to such an enjoyable trip. Thahara is situated on a private farmhouse, providing such a warm and cozy feeling to guests. The hosts were very gracious and warm. The views of the surrounding fields - especially during sunset and sunrise - are breathtaking. The host family prepares delicious meals and use produce and herbs from their garden, taking ""farm to table"" to a whole new level. The food was absolutely spectacular, as not only is it so fresh, but the hosts are amazing cooks. The rooms were all modern and in great condition. We boarded the Bassac 2 at Cai Be and sailed overnight to the floating market in Can Tho. Before boarding the boat we were taken to a place that produced coconut candy along with other products and we also visited a traditional village en route. There were twenty guests on the boat who were good company. The food was very good and our cabin comfortable. What a serene and peaceful place just minutes away from town. Have a massage or eat lovely local food overlooking a lotus pond. Loved it and didn't want to leave. Staff were very attentive and friendly as well as helpful. Wish we had stayed longer.Satri House: "Pure love"
"I loved our stay at Satri House. The property is beautiful, extremely well maintained, the staff is so helpful and friendly and funny, breakfast, all our requests were attended to. One of the best hotels I've been to by far, and I've stayed in much more expensive ones. 2 things bothered me: the noise from the music played across the hotel's main entrance at some open air bar/party venue, and the fact that the power points were too far from the furniture."Rachamankha: "Beautiful place to stay"
"On arrival to the Rachamankha it was hard to deny the breath taking architecture and clean calm appearance of the place. After staying at a friendly, family run guest house in Bangkok I did find this hotel to be a little bit sterile and cold at first. However, over the 4 days that I spent here I really warmed to the place. The location way great, being very central to the old town. Breakfast was excellent, with a really good range. Staff were all friendly and helpful and the facilities were very good, especially the pool. The room was also spacious and beautiful. A faultless stay. "Our couple experienced once again a too short but unforgettable week-end stay in Khwan Beach, right by the beach of Maenam Though they added 4 new villas to the 3 ones thay had only for our first visit, it was very much unbelievable to find such high quality of personal service repeated in a larger boutique hotel and such in-villa service, delightful and with exceptional decoration ( no wonder they call themselves the first Gallery resort in Thailand ) We had again all our wishes coming true as they advertised on their web site. Privacy still at its optimum in spite the 4 new villas, with a sensation of being at home with a rare view over a river, beach, ocean and the island of Koh Phangan !!! And no one to look at us in our private garden and amazing swimming pool. I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The building itself is beautiful and our room was spacious and felt very luxurious. There were little touches that we really loved such as the free water and beer in the mini bar which was refilled daily and a daily snack brought to your room in the afternoon. The hotel is out of the city centre, but there are regular boat shuttles to take you in to the centre of town. The pool area is a great sun trap or you can sit by the riverside. The breakfast and dinner area is outside looking out on the riverside and the breakfast is extremely tasty. The best thing about the hotel though was the team who ran the hotel. They were so helpful, giving us great restaurant and activity recommendations and helping us with any questions we have. I highly recommend staying here and you will leave feeling revived!
