"Stayed there 3 nights at the Shantung room on Oct 1st. Was my second time staying there and seems quite an improvement compared to the 1st probably it was from a different management back then. Happy with the service upon checking in. Shiro at the desk was friendly. Glad that we had a early check-in and no hassle of waiting for our room to be ready. All the staff are polite from housekeeping lady to the wait staff for our breakfast,the lady at the bar & the security guard at the main door. I am amazed with the selection of ala carte breakfast menu and buffet spread with the price for the the room. Wish we had time to dine and experience Indigo in the future. "We were looking for a secluded spot near Ubud, but not in the heart of the action and that was good for families. We have two small children (infant and 2 year old). The Matthis retreat was perfect for us. It was a quick taxi ride to downtown Ubud OR a long walk. The rooms were excellent for 3 adults and two young children. Pool was nice a cool and deep! My daughter loved to walk out along the rice paddy's and look at the ducks! Room Tip: Our room did not have a view, but there was a section that did."Hotel Tugu Bali: "Vintage hotel with a charm"
What you get when you stay at a hotel owned by one of Indonesia’s biggest if not the biggest antique collector...is a decadent hotel decorated beautifully with vintage furnitures and antiques obviously all around. Lovely pool to enjoy in and the room was amazingly furnish showcasing Peranakan Heritage and culture. Evident in the snacks and tea provided as well. I came here for lunch by myself and was amazed by the pleasant environment. I sat at the garden and the staff nicely put 2 fans facing me. The food was great - I had beef tartare which was marinated with local herbs and topped with plenty of parmesan cheese. I also had the fish amok which is a classic Khmer dish. The meal was ended with a homemade vanilla ice-cream. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!Rachamankha: "Our 4th Stay At Rachamankha"
We keep returning because it is that good. Fine antiques throughout, inside and out. A gracious and attentive staff. They are extremely stealth and quiet. The theme is serenity and quiet. Soft jazz and classical music quietly plays in the background. A bouquet of two dozen fresh roses were in our room. Complimentry breakfast is served on fine bone china. "After staying at a different Tugu Hotel in Lombok I decided to stay here while wanting to visit Mount Bromo. The staff and service here as well as food was excellent! Also the Spa if you are a couple go for the couple's option of 4 hour massage treatment as it's well worth it to try out. If you are wanting to visit Mount Bromo the hotel can arrange a private Jeep to take you there and back which is great and the guide and the driver were very helpful and super polite. Certainly make this a consideration if you are visiting Malang. Just to let you know that its around 2.5hrs drive from Surabaya to the hotel which they can arrange for you too."Neeleshwar Hermitage: "A quiet place to relax and recharge"
Neeleshwar Hermitage is a place to take time out and relax. It is situated on the Arabian Sea, miles of empty beach and palm trees. The Rooms are comfortable and private. There are two restaurants, one in the main building and more formal, the second is set on the sand, under the palm trees facing the sea. Delicious food. I had a cookery lesson and was shown how to make dishes within five minutes which suited the individual's taste. The town was quite close by and we reached this by tuk tuk. There was also a gorgeous spa where I indulged in aromatherapy and reflexology and a discussion with a doctor on diet and general health. We also had a cruise on the Lotus, and old rice boat, which had been converted into a beautiful houseboat. The houseboat was a five minute drive from the Heritage. Strongly recommended. This place is nothing short of top of the class! The food, rooms, service, amenities, beach and general 'vibe' (coupled with a near-perfect January climate) made for a perfect end of trip experience. If peace and quiet is not for you then the Hermitage is not for you. It might be 'off the beaten track' but it doesn't feel isolated. Terrific staff. "As many have said, Villa Song is a bubble of peace and tranquility in a chaotic and noisy city. I would thoroughly recommend it. The boat is a great way to get to the city. The room (Art Suite) was beautiful, with river views. If I was to be critical about one thing, it would be the restaurant menu. The kids menu was excellent, however the regular menu we found a bit strange. It was fusion-ish! Strange combinations. It all tasted pretty good mind you, but I would prefer to see more true Vietnamese on there. Personal taste perhaps. A real gem. We will be back for sure! "We stayed at the Glenburn after a week travelling around Sikkim and it was the perfect end to the trip. We received a warm welcome on arrival from Faye and Will the management team and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. We were offered refreshments throughout the day (fantastic teas) and found everyone very friendly. The rooms are lovely, each bedroom is different and in a colonial style and the food was excellent with a different theme each evening which we loved. Our stay was relaxing - we enjoyed the walk down to the river where we had lunch, exploring the tea plantation and reading on the veranda admiring the views. Just what we were looking for in a tea plantation. Thanks to Faye and Will and their team for making our visit so memorable It was a few days of luxury that I would highly recommend."
