Sea Dance Resort: "A beautiful retreat – I want to go back!"

Review by: Annifuse | Source: Trip Advisor
We spent 6 nights at Sea Dance and I honestly could have stayed longer. We had a warm welcome and our deluxe bungalow was spotlessly clean and a good size. We had a quirky bathroom which was attached to the outside of the bungalow which we loved and again spotless. The staff were so welcoming and were all great to have a chat to. It was my birthday and they surprised me with a special breakfast and flowers in my room, its a touch like that you won't find in a bigger resort. The food was exceptional, buffet breakfast and plenty of choices for the evening. We enjoyed the beach too it was very peaceful. You can hire scooters near by to get around. The hotel also has live music, cocktail nights and buffets which were really nice too.

David’s Kitchen: "A delicious dinner"

Review by: Peter K | Source: Trip Advisor
My wife and I visited David's Kitchen last night for the first time since we moved to Chiang Mai a few months ago. Our only regret is that we didn't visit earlier! Everything about the evening was excellent - the quality of the food, the wines available by the glass, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, and our chat with the proprietor David (who then followed up with an email of thanks this morning). We look forward to returning to experience the re-modelled dining room.

Les Maisons d’Itac: "Great place to stay"

Review by: MrsFanke | Source: tripadvisor.com
We really enjoyed staying at this resort. We slept at Maison Ulysse and I really enjoyed the interior and . The resort has a lot of details and it very well looked after. It is hard to communicate with the staff as they hardly speak any English. But Bryan (the manager) is most of the time present to help and give you tipps. Due to the fact that this resort is very small, it has a familiar atmosphere which we enjoyed. We also felt very safe, never looked our hut

Tugu Bali: "Amazing Hotel with the kindest Staff ever!"

Review by: mentkapto | Source: Trip Advisor
"I have always been passionate about learning and embracing the local culture whenever I travel and Hotel Tugu brought me the perfect balance between Western commodity and Indonesian Traditions The staff was genuine and friendly and they made sure all our stay was special and unique. From the setup for the breakfast on the outside area to the afternoon tea on the raised bed in the garden area it was all perfectly planned and executed. On our second night we had the pleasure to enjoy dinner while watching a Traditional Balinese dance performance. It was interesting to see such performance while enjoying some delicious traditional food in the majestic entrance hall. They also have a delicious Japanese restaurant next door with an amazing decoration and an original Chinese temple surrounding the tables area that was impressive. The Hotel is walking distance to the beach where we walked to see the sunset and see the surfers catching some waves while enjoying our Balinese coffee. Our room was on the upper floor with a beautiful view over the ocean and the most comfortable king size bed I have ever slept in. The room was completely filled with vintage and local items and a traditional bath tube for a late evening bath after exploring Canggu area. The swimming pool made the perfect spot for my girlfriend to read a book and sunbath. On our last night it happened to be my birthday and the hotel staff surprised me over dinner with a delicious birthday cake. If that’s not the ultimate definition of a perfect hotel, I don’t know what could be. Will be returning again on my next trip to Bali and recommending to my friends back home."

Tugu Lombok: "Stunning hotel/resort a must visit"

Review by: Matt19641964 | Source: Trip Advisor
"My wife and I had stayed in the Ampenan suite that was very comfortable, especially the extra large king bed, the size of the room and quality bed linen. The individual soft furnishings and artworks made it feel very special and homely. We were also given a tour of some of the other types of villa's on offer that were all beautiful in their own individual way. The entire experience at this hotel, even though it was a short stay was very memorable from beginning to end, and everything in between. The beautiful collection of artefacts and antiques throughout the property make it a very unique resort that is also very well maintained. The service and friendliness of the entire team was outstanding. Daisy, Henry and Elly went beyond the call of duty to welcome us and to also make us feel very special. (Thank you) Only 1 of 2 restaurants were in operation due to it being low season. The food was generally of a high standard with a decent verity of local and western food. We would highly recommend Tugu Lombok to anyone who wishes for a first class experience. Thanks again to you all, Matt & Cherry. Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"

Samuay & Sons: "Simply The Best Thai Restaurant in Thailand"

Review by: pariyac2017 | Source: Trip Advisor
This restaurant is best described" Simply the best Thai restaurant in Thailand " We went there after reading a few reviews and so happy we managed to get a table on our first night in Udon Thani. We got there at almost 9pm at the suggestion of the owner because there was a big group of guests at 8pm and he did not want us to wait long for our orders. We were a bit hungry when we got there and ordered more than what we could eat but at the suggestions of the owner we cut down a few dishes to save some spaces for their desserts. The desserts we had were " something to die for ". We enjoyed every dish we had. No need to guess where we went for dinner the following night. Service was also excellent and definitely very good for value. We wish there was a Samuay & sons in Bangkok.

Satri House: "A wonderful happiness at a cozy little boutique hotel"

Review by: Neung V | Source: Trip Advisor
"We are a family with kids and a nanny. At first, we booked this hotel on Agoda web for the first 2 nights ( our plan in Luang Prabang was 6 days/5 nights). Then we planed to spend our first 2 days traveling around and get to know Luang Prabang before move to other hotels that near the old city. This hotel is not much different as seen in the picture and the swimming pool is just nice for our kids ( 2.5 yrs old and a baby 5 months old). They loved to go to swimming pool almost everyday. The first night, we ended up having dinner at hotel restaurant which is the same dining place for having breakfast. The dinner was very good. The Laotian food tasted yummy and not too spicy. Our kid loves fried nugget chicken with french fries so much (we were back to order this quite a few times during the rest of our stay. Later, we went out to check on our wish list hotels like 3Nagas, Azaria (near night market), Belle Rives (very nice view to see Mae Khong river), we also got the chance to dine at 3Nagas as well ( see our review for 3Nagas restaurant) BUT we didn't very much like those hotels ambience and there is not-a-good-swimming pool for our kids to swim as well as Satri house. So we came back and talked to Satri House hotel manager "" Giovanni"" that we loved to extend our stay at Satri House for the next 4 days/3 nights. It was very appreciated to say that Satri hotel GM gave us a good hotel deal package for our extended. We got the same junior suit room type with lower rate than the previous booking from Agoda website and a plus was the spa for 2 (oil massage or traditional Laotian massage) for free. We found that our trip in Laos wouldn't be as nice if we didn't stay at Satri House. It was a family friendly hotel, Very nice breakfast (we tried every breakfast menu during our 6 days stay in both international dish and local dish). Our kids like hot chocolate drink and we all loved fresh orange juices and a fruit bowl in every morning too (croissant and bread were also good). I could even say that some of the dish is as good as 3Nagas or even better! For us, we are no need to go to other hotels or go through those restaurants that listed with overrated star in Laung Prabang. We finally were happy with Satri House for the stay, the food, the location, the friendly and always helpful hotel staff and especially, Hotel GM. Thanks for taking good care of us. We hope to go back again for our next vacation soon. Love Satri House! We impressed."

Locavore: "Outstanding"

Review by: DexterD2013 | Source: Trip Advisor
"We chose to have the 5 course degustation menu with accompanying cocktails for each course. While we may have had some reservation about having cocktails instead of matching wine, they were a revelation! While we were waiting for our meal to begin we were stunned to be served with SEVEN 'amuse bouche' dishes prior to this. All were outstanding and each was described to us in detail by a member of the staff - sometimes a waitress but often one of the cooks - including the head chef. In a similar vein - the 1 dessert course actually ended up being a 'pre-dessert', main dessert, and then about 3 'post desserts'. All the dishes were of a very high standard with interesting combinations and flavours. The open kitchen allows you to observe the staff preparing the food - all in a seemingly tranquil manner. Service was outstanding and we waddled out after almost 3 hours, overwhelmed by the experience. Even though it is reasonably pricey compared to other restaurants in Bali (~US$150pp including drinks), it is well worth it."

Rachamankha: "Exceptional hotel with a great restaurant"

Review by: Julia H | Source: Trip Advisor
We have stayed at the hotel for a few nights while visiting Chiang Mai. Location is great and within walking distance (15min) to many attractions that the city has to offer. Room was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities you needed except they don't give you conditioner so bring your own. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant, we had snacks and dinner and the food and service were great. Would definitely stay again.
