Reverie Siam: "Excellent"
We came here for 3 nights and stayed in the family suite. Beautiful room very clean and well vintage designed. Breakfast is the best a la carte. The staff is very friendly and most of them speak english. All in all, had a great time here and hope to come here again.Slow Villas and Spa: "A little piece of heaven on earth"
"Slow Villas is simply stunning! We stayed here for 4 nights and had an amazing experience. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all we needed, the bed is super comfortable (we loved the blanket!) and the kitchenette a nice little extra. We also enjoyed, that the water in the open-air bathroom is not only hot - it is also absolutely not salty (rare on the Gili islands). The staff is nice, the breakfast choice stunning and the private pool and garden are true gems. We loved it - we will be back! Stayed January 2017, traveled as a couple"The Cabochon Hotel: "Elegant hideaway"
Loved staying in this hotel. Situated at the end of a lane off busy Sukumvit, it is a quiet oasis, tastefully decorated in colonial Asian style. The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are large and comfortable. There is a rooftop pool with good views. The breakfast is very good. Highly recommendedCuca: "Great food"
We visited Cuca in Jimbaran, after an event at Polperro winery (Red Hill), hosted by the head chef from Cuca. The food at Polperro was amazing and I was really excited to see the restaurant for the first time. I was not disappointed, the textures, presentation and flavours are fantastic and the staff are warm and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, it's dimly lit and moody, but if you have a preference for more light, you can always sit at the bar over the kitchen and watch the precision of the team. The outside seating area is in a garden, complete with water features and lanterns. The grounds are generous. Price wise it's not over the top, I loved everything this place, so much so, I have booked again for tomorrow night!!Neeleshwar Hermitage: "Unbelievably restful hotel"
The hotel is a small oasis of tranquility, beautiful rooms, great service, lovely beach and really attentive staff. The place is quite small and for a couple of days only 3 of the cottages were inhabited but even when 15 people were staying it was still calm and uncrowded. The pool is relatively large and there are plenty of beds there and in the garden. There is also a tailor on site and he copied a linen dress and a pair of linen trousers in less than a day perfectlySea Dance Resort: "Excellent from start to end"
Excellent Service! Great location; quite and private; at the same time close to all the hustle and bustle of Samui. Excellent food. Excellent Rooms! Very nice people... Overall highly I highly recommend Sea Dance!Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "A unique experience, best service you can find"
"We have traveled a lot around the world in both high luxury hotels and small guesthouses, but we must admit that I have rarely had such a nice experience as the one we got at Thahara Inle Heritage. To us, this hotel has it all : the luxury bungalows with quiet private terrace right in the middle of Inle lake (that you would expect to find in a a 5* hotel) and the adorable welcoming service that you can only find in small intimate guesthouses. Plus, the food is divine (and the breakfast, Oh My !) and very much affordable for the location, so what more can we ask for ? Well, you could wish that your money goes to a good cause, and it does. Thahara Inle Heritage is part of the not-for-profit training center that prepare local young people for careers in restaurants and hotels. That explains the amazing and welcoming service ! It also had its own amazing garden full of delicious vegetables, which explains the amazing local cuisine of their restaurant, and works towards full sustainability, so you are assured to contribute to a green stay. You can also take part in one of their cooking class if you have time, surely the best one you can find in the country ! Or you can just wander around the Thahara, pay a visit to their Burmese cat center or check out their local Aquarium. Or you can hop on a boat and head to Nampan market, 5 minutes away, or leave for a memorable boat drive to the Sankar, on the very southern shores of the lake. Endless possibilities, total freedom, breathtaking views. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Myanmar. PS: as for the previous comment, fear nothing if you are a light sleeper, Thahara provides you with earplugs in your room, though we did not need them. And if you are afraid to be cold at night on the lake, you will be happily surprised to find hot water bottles in your bed to warm you up when you come back to your bungalow at night. Brilliant. Stayed January 2016"Satri House: "Just wonderful and charming!"
"Excellent in every way! Top in quality of the rooms decorated with local and colonial furniture, the staff is helpful, the spa was really agreeable, the restaurant is top even if the staff is still lacking a bit of experience in the way of taking orders. For sure, this will be the place I will go back to next time I am in Luang Prabang."tugu bali: "High quality hotel with strong historical identity"
"We enjoyed very much Tugu Hotel for the beginning of our honeymoon with my wife, through a three nights stay. The particularity of Tugu Hotel is that it is also a kind of museum with valuable and well designed pieces of furniture, decorations and paintings. Rooms are like small houses with an internal private courtyard and a swimming pool. The garden is also well designed with nice statues coming from ages. The staff is nice: everyone in the hotel knew our names since the beginning for instance. "Villa Mathis: "as usual, a very pleasant stay, away from the rush, my favourite in the south"
very nice staff, good food, relaxing and very private areas complete this wonderful stay. we used also the shuttle transfer (free) to seminiak center for shopping and a walk down to the beach, now leaving bali this evening ... till next time :)
