Tugu Bali: "Romantic 10 year anniversary celebration"
"This was the perfect place to have a night away from our 5 year old to celebrate our 10 year anniversary! We felt like we were a million miles away in the serene setting provided by the hotel. This is a must for any trip to Bali! The cultural night on Thursday adds such a special touch to our evening! "Slow Villas and Spa: "The BEST place in Gili Air"
Slow is simply the BEST place to stay in Gili Air. Effortlessly chic it is a paradise to go back to at the end of your dives or beach activity. Julie knows absolutely everything there is to know about the gilis and is there to help. The villas have their own private plunge pools, garden, kitchenette and a great bed: the perfect recipe for success. The spa is amazing. A bit of heaven on earth.Glenburn Tea Estate: "Tranquility with views"
This hotel is more like a guest house and a very nice one at that. Faye and William were very friendly and ensured all our needs were met. Breakfast and lunch are served in the lovely gardens overlooking the natural beauty that surrounds, providing an opportunity to marvel at the Himalayas and K2 on a clear day. Dinner is a lovely experience with a seating plan that provides the guests an opportunity to meet fellow travelers to talk about their experience and each night there is a different regional theme to the meals. The tour of the plantation was very interesting, giving me a new appreciation for what it takes to make tea. This hotel is in the mountains and as such the journey there was long and on very rough roads but the drivers are excellent, knowing every bend. The destination makes it worth the journey.Samanea Beach Resort: "Beautiful hotel"
"Samanea is a beautiful hotel in an incredible setting. The grounds are immaculate and the gardens are perfectly kept. The pond is really lovely, and the swimming pool is excellent. The jetty and the boardwalk around the mangroves brings you closer to the sea and to nature. The bungalows are superb, with a separate lounge area and a nice indoor/outdoor bathroom. Not too many mosquitoes, which surprised me being close to so much natural water. Many guests are weekenders from Phnom Penh, so if you visit midweek you may even have the place to yourself. Staff very helpful. I also had no problem reducing the number of nights I'd booked when changed my travel plans. Areas for improvement: 1. Communication between managers and reception staff is poor. I needed to organise transport in several occasions, but constantly found myself having to start from the beginning each time I spoke to someone different. With the language barrier, this caused a problem more than once. 2. People have a habit of forgetting things! eg tuktuk pick-ups to take me to the bus station, forgetting to service the room one day, food items from the restaurant. 3. The restaurant could be better. Items out of stock one day after another, things missing from an order, breakfast not really explained very well (I'm still unsure what exactly is included in the room rate!), quality variable. Maybe it's because much of their business is done at weekends? 4. Wifi is very unpredictable. Similar hotels in many other countries/resorts could easily charge far more than the rates at Samanea and you wouldn't feel shortchanged, so, notwithstanding the things that could be improved on, Samanea gets 5 stars for being great value for money and having a very friendly bunch of staff always willing to help."4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Recommended place for escapade! Relaxation to the max!!!!"
Staff were very accommodating. Ideal place for relaxation, honeymoon...a different kind of experience...food was great too. Nice interior of rooms. You can see the enchanted place from your room. So romantic. Overall rating, superb!!!Mie Cafe: "Really really good"
Went on the recommendation of a local and were blown away by the quality of the cooking here. We weren't surprised to hear that the patron/chef had trained in a Michelin 2 Star in Switzerland. The food shames many one star restaurants I've eaten in elsewhere. We both started with scallop tartare with seaweed and heart of coconut. I followed with Fish Amok and S with a risotto. All just superb. We are going back tonight. Do not miss if you are in town. The Cabochon Hotel: "Feels like home"
This was the second time I spent some days in this wonderful retreat with my family. This hotel is just a magic place and everytime we arrive here it almost feels like coming home. Especially in a busy city like Bangkok this wonderful place is perfect to comfort you.We will come again and only can recommend it to everybody who is looking for a small hotel of no other kind. The staff is super friendly, the food is fantatsic and every little detail of this hotel feels like it has been developed with an incredible aamount of love and passion without any compromise.Les Maisons Wat Kor: "A little bit of paradise"
"Staff are extremely welcoming and could not do enough to make our stay a real pleasure. Rooms were comfortable and grounds well looked after Breakfast was really nice and other meals were tasty and economical. It is a little out of the main town area , we had access to a guide and driver thru Exo travel which made it say to get around. Thanks to the staff and management."Satri House: "Extraordinario"
Beautiful hotel full of details for the guest, Tasty breakfast, rooms unbelievable, a hotel with exquisite taste !! Contains the unique and wonderful charm of this town ... if you come to Luang Prabang should stay in this hotel !!!The Island Lodge: "Perfect stay at The Island Lodge"
"We arrived by Les Rives boat tour and stayed for 3 nights. Michel and staff were great at making all our arrangements for transfers and tours. We had wonderful days filled with bike tours, relaxing massages, delicious meals and peacefulness sitting at the pool. The staff are wonderful and helpful. We loved staying here and did not want to leave!"
