Villa Song: "Outstanding Hotel in Every Way!"

"Our experience with the Villa Song hotel has been excellent, with tremendous service and communication starting even before we arrived. From helping us to arrange car service from the airport, to recommending and reserving excursions, to accommodating changes in our travel plans, the service we have experienced has been top notch. When we missed our layover flight in Dubai we immediately let our friends at Villa Song know that we would be delayed a day. Even though we we only gave them a few hours notice they got back to us right away, to let us know that it wouldn’t be a problem. When we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and confirmed our excursions that evening. The Vespa ride in Saigon and the boat trip on the Mekong Delta were fantastic and reasonably priced. When we saw our room - the imperial suite - we immediately decided to cancel the next leg of our trip and extend our stay at Villa Song for an additional 3 nights. The staff were very accommodating and told us we could stay in the same room. Everything in the room is high end, very clean and the bed and bedding are exceptional. The spa Service is OFF THE CHARTS good. We had a couples hot stone massage and I had a facial. Again, the prices were excellent! The food has surpassed our expectations. Breakfast is complimentary - I would suggest the waffles, with green coconut chutney - delicious! Lunch and dinner were five stars. My only small suggestion is that the white wine could be a little colder. The food is phenomenal!! This is a place to come to eat even if you don’t stay here. Lastly, the service at Villa song is as good, if not better, than any of the 6/7 star hotels in the West. Everyone was ready to help ensure that our honeymoon would be unforgettable. We leave the day after tomorrow for the St Regis in Langkawi, Malaysia - and to be honest - we want to stay here! Special thank you’s to Ms. Truc, Mr. Toan and Freddy. Reverie Siam: "What a little gem of a place this is"

We heard good reports about this place and just had the weekend there. It was probably one of my nicest off the cuff getaways and just a 3 ½ hour drive from Chiangmai. Management is under the careful eye of Sebastian who is English and clearly makes sure that attention to detail is not missed. This property has been magnificently designed to give that period feel and look with close attention to not just the decor but the collection of antiques and artefacts which surround the property. The food and extensive choice of wines was just excellent and I must mention how pleasant and polite all of the staff were. Proof that a small family owned and operated property can be better than those big corporates. We highly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our return soon.

CHAKRABONGSE VILLAS: "The perfect oasis in the heart of Old Bangkok"

"I have used tripadvisor to plan trips for years, but our magical time at the Chakrabongse Villas has finally inspired me to write a review of my own. We could not have found a more perfect place to spend the final 3 days of a 2 week trip to SE Asia. Atom, the manager, and her staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful in making our stay in Bangkok so special, and upgraded us to the Garden View Suite, which was lovely. Tucked away in beautiful, lush gardens right on the banks of the Chao Praya river and directly across from Wat Pho and a short distance to the Grand Palace, the Chakrabongse Villas, is truly a hidden gem. Being in the heart of Old Bangkok meant that we could return to the hotel for a quick dip in the gorgeous pool to cool off from the infamous Bangkok heat before heading out for the next excursion. I highly recommend arranging to have dinner at the Chakrabongse Villas for an unforgettable experience - the dinner we had with a private table set up on the terrace right next to the river was the most romantic, and one of the most delicious, we've ever had (the owner is a descendant of the Thai kings Rama IV & V so the dishes are from the Royal Family's own recipes). We also enjoyed our tour of Bangkok's canals in the Chakrabongse Villa's own long tail boat. If you are looking for the perfect boutique hotel that offers a peaceful, historical oasis in hectic and hot Bangkok, then I cannot recommend Chakrabongse Villas highly enough. Thank you, Atom, for helping to make our stay so extraordinary. "

Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "A hidden gem in the heart of George Town"

"It felt like being a part of Penang's living history, a real privilege to stay here. The tour of property on the afternoon I arrived was taken by one of the owners, got some really great insights in to the collection and local history. The owners and staff are doing a wonderful job keeping this collection and property alive for future generations Stayed January 2017, traveled solo"

The Island Lodge: "The most caring hosts"

"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam."

Muang La Lodge: "Best in Laos"

This place is truly exceptional. The attention to detail is fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for the outstanding staff. Quality of food like everything else here is excellent and we loved the 5 course menus each evening. You have to go there!!

Muang La Lodge: "Hidden gem in Laos"

"This wonderful place is an absolute gem. The staff were all super-helpful, and the facilities are super-comfortable and very well set up to fit whatever level of energy that you have, including the thermal tubs and the lovely pool. As a temporary resident of Laos, I can vouch for the authentic nature of the setting. We went on the 5 hour trek with a very scenic route accompanied by an informative guide, which allows you to see the authentic side of the changing landscape in the northern highlands and some of the pressures for change that the local people face. All in all, one of the best places of its kind that we have ever stayed in. Stayed March 2017, traveled with family"

Jing’s Residence: "The best hotel we have stayed at anywhere!"

"My husband and I just checked out from a two day stay at Jing’s Residence, and I must say it was the most enjoyable hotel we have ever stayed at in the world. It is not overly opulent nor extravagant, just perfectly designed, with exceptional service, and every detail is taken care of. Imam and his team could not have been more accommodating and attentive, and were never overbearing or fussy. Afternoon tea was a wonderful experience, breakfast was excellent, and the in room local snacks were very much appreciated. The hotel itself is exceptionally beautiful. Furniture and artwork has been very tastefully selected, and the outdoor spaces are as well maintained as the indoor ones. The location couldn’t have been better, steps from the sights and shops but in a very quiet and peaceful part of the old city. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more, and not only should it be where you stay during your time in Pingyao, you should come to Pingyao just to stay here!"

Slow Villas and Spa: "Everything is perfect here"

On a fairly rustic island, Slow Gili is a modern paradise. Julie the manager was incredibly helpful with talking us through the island and what to see. The rooms are modern, clean and plush. I just wish we had stayed here for longer. Their spa is also fantastic! Highly recommend!
