The Village House: "Great stay away from the buzz"

"We stayed in April, trip with my mother. This hotel was a little further out but they were so great at helping to arrange transport and packages before we arrived: orang utans, bake national park etc. The hotel was small, simple, clean, the staff were friendly and very helpful, but what was most surprising was the food! It was delicious, perfectly prepared. A walk along the beautiful, wild beach is also definitely recommended. Not a swimming, crystal clear waters beach, but wild and gorgeous. I would recommend for a quiet getaway in a great location!"

Reverie Siam Pai: "Faultless"

"My partner and I stayed at this establishment for 4 nights in October and I am so happy that we chose to come here. This was the end of trip through Vietnam and Cambodia and we both agree that this hotel was one of our highlights. We initially chose the hotel as it is slightly out of Pai which suited as it meant we could dip in and out of the town when we wanted. We had a mountain view room which was gorgeous. The room is decorated in such a way that you feel comfortable straight away and we loved the eccentric little pieces dotted around and attention to detail. The shower was amazing! The actual ground were also amazing and so lovely to walk round. The hidden pavilion is lovely in the daytime to sit by the river, and lit up by fairy lights in the evening it is a beautiful and romantic retreat. But the real thanks must go to the staff. The girls that served our meals were so polite as friendly, they really would go out of their way to help you. The boys that drove the shuttle into town always had a smile on their faces. And without a doubt a huge thank you to the cocktail mixologist boys who made out stay. Their signature cocktails are absolutely amazing and the effort they put into them is second to none. They deserve an award for their skills! Thank you Reverie for a truly memorable stay. And if you are considering whether to stay here all I can say is just book it, you won't regret it."

Mathis Retreat: "Everything An Ubud Hotel Is In Your Dreams"

"This is the hotel you imagine when you think of staying in Ubud. The view across working rice paddies is amazing as our the rooms, quiet amazing. The infinity pool across the rice paddies, the bean bags by the rice paddies and the general setting are all amazing. Staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is too far out of town to walk (unless you want a long walk) but a van is run by the hotel every hour and they even made a special journey just for us. The breakfast is amazing, as little or as much as you want from the breakfast selection menu and whatever you have is great. Stay here, you wont regret it."

Rahai'i Pangun Wildlife River Cruises: "We had a super time on this river cruise — don’t miss it"

Great boat with plenty of room, great staff and trip leader and very interesting way to see orangutans. In addition to seeing these interesting animals, we also had two very interesting village tours and went to the BOSF foundation to learn more about their goal of saving as many orangutans and other endangered animals (and their habitats) as possible. We think this trip was the highlight of our trip to Borneo!

Villa Song Saigon: "An Oasis on the Saigon Riverbank"

"We stay at Villa Song Saigon only for one night but we got a late check-out since our flight depart late in the evening. The shuttle boat is fabulous. You could book the schedule and enjoy a 20-min ride to the city center which avoid the bustling traffic on the road and feel like a celebrity. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and we have a variety of local flavor and western style to choose from. You could also enjoy the pool, whether swim or do nothing. Villa Song Saigon really is a romantic boutique hotel embodying the beauty of Saigon. "

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "Beautiful lakeside fine dining with perfect service"

"Last night we had the most beautiful dinner at Seeds. With personalised service and attention from the owners and their extremely well trained, attentive and friendly staff, this is a perfect restaurant for a business or a romantic dinner. The delicious canoes, home made truffle ravioli with truffle foam and perfectly cooked sea bass were absolutely in keeping with the chefs’ Michelin accolades. A wonderful balanced wine list with reasonable prices rounds out the perfect meal. The architecture is stunning too. Overlooking perfectly kept gardens that undulate down to the lake there’s even a stunning water feature fountain that appears to shoot out from the lake under lights. To top it off, there’s a private dining g room on a glamorous treehouse. Just amazing!"

The Island Lodge: "The most caring hosts"

"The island lodge is a very special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like welcomed guests. We did the bike/boat tour with Michael through the banana plantations and seeing the locals going about their daily life, not another tourist to be seen. Every body is very friendly. And the whole lodge is beautiful. We will definitely return to the island lodge if visiting Vietnam."

Villa Song Saigon: "Gorgeous Hotel"

Just spent the most wonderful 3 nights at this lovely peaceful boutique hotel , it was perfect ! Lovely staff, the best food in their restaurant , fabulous French chef !! the most comfortable bed!! Pool was perfect , Would definitely return :)

Manda De Laos: "Great food fabulous setting"

The Manda de Laos is set among several lotus ponds. Our hotel had made a reservation for us and we had a table positioned to enjoy the sunset. That was our only disappointment of the night as the clouds rolled in at the wrong time. Everything else was perfect. My buffalo was tender as and my wife's duck fabulous. This is not a cheap eat but worth every cent.
