Dewakan: "WOW"

A wow moment. A creative cuisine with local inspiration and pure/natural ingredients. Tasteful and delighful. Decor and music are in sync with the food. Humble. Accessible and reasonable price. Good for business, great for couple. Not to be missed in KL.

4 Rivers Floating Lodge: "Become one with the jungle"

"This was really good: you are picked up by a boat where the road crosses the river and then you get 30 minutes to slow-down and get into the rhythm of the jungle. Each room is a huge double tent on a floating dock, connected to each other via a walking bridge. The tents have a luxury interior: double bed, closets, TV set - although not working, but who cares? - a lot of fans (no airco) and a jungle-shower. But the most pleasant is the terrace from which you can jump in the water for a swim. Diner is at the riverside or in the tent-restaurant, with super quality food and drinks. Breakfast idem: super! From this place you must visit the waterfalls of Tatai where you can jump of a cliff, swim and get nice food, prepared by the guys on the boat, Room Tip: If you are looking for a place to get some rest, go here"

Villa Song: "Colonial Mansion on the Saigon River"

Just by walking into this hotel, you immediately pick up the atmosphere and know that this is going to be a great experience - and so it proved. All the staff are super efficient and welcoming. Set in a quiet area of HCMC away from the madness and traffic of the city. The hotel speedboat is an interesting and quick way to travel to/from the centre. Breakfast taken at a table overlooking the Saigon River is a great experience. The food quality is excellent. Well done to all at Villa Song!

Muang La Lodge: "Beautiful lodge"

Mung La Lodge is a beautiful ecolodge and a bit of paradise. The hot spring baths, the wonderful dinners and the terrific service contribute to a terrific relaxing stay. We stayed three nights and didn't want to leave.

Les Maisons Wat Ko: "Small family run hotel"

Lovely stop on our travel through Cambodia. Food was excellent and rooms lovely. The pool area was being tidied when we were there so hopefully this is complete now. Loved the deep fried flowers we received with our drinks.

Satri House: "Oasis in Luang Prabang"

"The Satri House was a welcome relief from airplanes, heat, crowds and all the travails of international travel. Greeted by friendly and efficient staff, stunning and immaculate grounds, the sweet smell of lemongrass and air conditioned room, I felt ready to relax before heading out for 5 days of discovery in Luang Prabang area. If you have time, enjoy a massage in the spa and be sure to look around at all the grounds...a treat for body, mind and spirit. The staff does all they can to make your stay very pleasant! Breakfast was good but a little more variation would have been nice since we were there for several days. This hotel was selected for us by our travel company, so I have not looked into details of price, value, etc. I can only say we did not select the very top hotel package and we're not disappointed at Satri House! Room Tip: I would suggest an upper level room, as the wooden floors seem to be noisey."

Talabgaon Castle: "Perfect place to wind down between busy cities"

"To sum it up briefly this place is amazing. It is a very serene, quiet place for relaxing between the hustle bustle of the cities. You'll fall in love with this place. You won't be disappointed. Do not miss the opportunity to stay at this pristine palace. Our one night stay at the castle was exquisitely delightful. The staff greeted us with hot towels and lemon water to drink. As well as beautifully smelling flower necklaces. They showed us to our room which was tidy and supplied with bottled water and biscuits. Then they brought warm tea. We were given a menu to choose our dinner selection and we were astonished by how delicious the food was. They have an organic garden on the grounds from which they get their vegetables and they were spectacular. The chef preparations of the food were so delicious that words cannot capture how much we enjoyed the supper. In the morning we were greeted by a continental breakfast, but then they began to bring out all of the hot selections from omelettes to traditional Indian fixings. I was upset with myself for eating fresh fruit and yogurt because I wished I had more room for all the delicious breakfast selections. When you first arrive you know youre staying in a special place because you notice the castle walls as you are driving through a small village. You pass through a large traditional gate to an open area where the driveway is and there's another smaller traditional gate to enter the grounds where you can see the beautiful 200 year old structure. The grounds and castle itself are beautifully done, clean and modernized. We were provided bottled water in our room and at dinner. The bathroom was marble and glass with no shortage of hot water. The bed was large and luxurious with very clean linens. There was also a big flat screen television. There are many seating rooms and a Polo bar room. There is a large swimming pool behind the main building. We were given the opportunity to participate in a camel cart or jeep safari ride the next morning and we chose the jeep. We were able to see beautiful birds and local friendly people. You drive through these tiny, minuscule towns and the people are so delighted to see you. Because 'guests are gold' in this part of the world we were invited in for tea and Palau. Unfortunately we were not able to accept their request as our guide said we must go as we were on a stringent time schedule to leave for agra. I wish we had stayed for longer and we're able to become more acquainted with these friendly people. This place is a little out of the way, but worth it in every aspect. The food,the staff, the accomdations, the villagers, the history of the facility. You'll not want to leave and you'll be eager to retuen.great place for romantics, adventurers, or those looking for relaxation during a busy trip in india. Muang La Lodge: "A ne pas manquer"

"Accueil très attentif et personnalisé, hôtel calme, plein de charme, aux prestations raffinées, piscine très agréable, cuisine laotienne revisitée de haut niveau, service très aimable et attentionné, excursion en 4x4 à la rencontre des minorités ethniques des montagnes environnantes organisée par l'hôtel à ne pas manquer. En résumé : excellent séjour, excellente halte. A recommander vivement."

Manda De Laos: "Great food fabulous setting"

The Manda de Laos is set among several lotus ponds. Our hotel had made a reservation for us and we had a table positioned to enjoy the sunset. That was our only disappointment of the night as the clouds rolled in at the wrong time. Everything else was perfect. My buffalo was tender as and my wife's duck fabulous. This is not a cheap eat but worth every cent.

Dewakan: "Amazing fine dining experience"

We had the 17-course menu and loved every course. The dishes were beautifully made up and each had delicate flavours. It was great to experience a combination of real western fine dining (finally, a restaurant that gets it) combined with Asian flavours and ingredients. Service was great. So was the wine. The staff can give you good wine pairing advice. Don't hesitate, just go here - it's worth every cent! And yes it's a bit far out, but it is definitely worth the traveltime as well!
