Inle Heritage Stilt Houses: "The highlight of our trip to Myanmar! Thank you sincerely!"
"A little gem! We loved it all: - the delightful staff, so professional, skilled and nice, will stay in our memories forever! We felt like home and all the staff deserve a LOT of credit for their hard & generous work everyday there and all the small attentions they craft everyday!! (reception, restaurant, housekeeping... all of them) - the incredible surroundings on the lake of course - the beautiful rooms, decorated with taste - the excellent restaurant - the center itself where you can walk above water, see burmese cats, an aquarium, learn how to cook, see students learning about hostellery with a free education... This hotel was the most authentic, friendly, and simple luxury experience of our whole trip in Myanmar. So happy to have spent time there and spent money for such a beautiful center & project. Thank you!! PS: if we had to mention potential drawbacks for some guests: - just be sure to know it's a small, intimate resort with no infrastructure like pool or spa (we were fine with it). - and it's in the middle of the lake so noise from the motor boats (but it's worth it!! Stayed August 2016, traveled as a couple"Rachamankha: "A Quiet Oasis in a Bustling Town"
This was a quiet oasis in a bustling town but still well positioned to see everything Chiang Mai has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel and our room and bathroom was spotless and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed excellent service from a very friendly and polite staff. The breakfast buffet is very good and they make a neat gin and tonic in the bar. The hotel laundry service was very efficient and cheap compared to hotels elsewhere in the world. If we visited Chiang Mai again we would definitely stay here againLe Calao: "Great food, great view!"
Delicious food in beautiful setting. Confusingly laid out menu but worth persisting with. Very empty when we were there but really hope this new restaurant takes off as it is lovely.Manda De Laos: "An excellent dinner"
This is a charming venue with really stunning views over the beautiful lit ponds. Very helpful staff and we all has excellent food. The tamarind duck was excellent along with the mushrooms, vegetables and rice.Rachamankha: "Amber from Seattle"
Beautifully designed boutique hotel on the edge of Old Town. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Restaurant has great food at good prices. I would not hesitate to return here for my escape to serenity in Chiang Mai.mudanwan villa: "Tranquil and GREAT hot spring facilities!"
"I have stayed in Mudanwan for 2 night with my family. We got a big room on the ground floor with our own hot spring pool and swimming pool in the back yard (privacy guaranteed), a large bathroom with another indoor hot spring pool, two king size beds, and it was just fabulous!!! We went for a full board package and the food was just gorgeous and fresh! There's a 24 hr juice/snack bar too. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the services were just great. We really had a fantastic time there. Although the location is really in the middle of nowhere, they do offer a nice shuttle service. "Locavore: "Awesome"
We went on Wednesday night as my son had a booking but was unable to go.From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional we had the seven coarse menu ,plus complementary dishes at the start and finish. The dishes were full of amazing flavours and looked and tasted exceptional .It was the highlight of food we have had in bali and would highly recommend it as a must do experience, and thank you to all the staff for making it soReverie Siam Pai: "Excellent resort with a view"
"We booked ourselves a mountain view room and was very pleased with it (i.e. decor / amenities and the spaciousness of the room). Our balcony was facing the pool overlooking the mountain and White Buddha view from afar. Good a la carte breakfast with wide selection of wines and beverages. The resort also provide free shuttle (buggy) transfer to and from the bus station which is good enough for us to walk around the walking street area. Credits to their punctuality on the pick-up. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. With all the info givens, we booked a half day tour thru the hotel. We enjoyed the ambience of the resort throughout the trip. A truly hidden gem resort for those who needs a relaxing trip away from the busy city life."Les Maisons d’Itac: "Best place we stayed in the Philippines"
"Me and my gf spent 4 nights at Les Maisons d'Itac. We were supposed to stay for 3, we loved the place so much we decided to stay 1 more night (we couldn't stay longer as the Mayson Ulisse was not available anymore, so we kept our travel plan on). What can we say? Bryan (who spoke italian, we're italians and we have very charming and nice conversations during our stay) has been the perfect host. Always ready to help, charmful and totally welcoming. We booked our trasfers to Bantayan and back to Cebu through him and it was just perfect! The food at the maisons is great, the location awsome. They have an amazing spot for snorkelling just in front of the resort that you can reach in a few mins swimming. What makes this place special (apart from the view, the nature around, the sea) is the SILENCE. In almost a month in the Philippines we never found such a relaxing spot, where you can fall asleep at night hearing at the waves sounds. A true dream come true. If you're looking for a place to stay around Moalboal (it can be reached in 25 minutes scooter ride from the resort, you can rent just asking Bryan) DO NOT HESITATE to book a stay at the Maisons. p.s: say hi to Itac and Stacey for us :) Ciao! Andrea & Marta Room Tip: Maison Ulysse is a must-to-try!"Satri House: "Fabulous"
"What a super hotel. The moment you arrive you can tell the place has style. The staff are very welcoming (Keo was particularly helpful) and if you book through Mr and Mrs Smith you get a free massage. The spa is great with all treatments reasonably priced. The common areas are decorated very nicely - makes you feel like it's someone's house. The main hotel building is beautiful - it belonged to a Laos prince. The swimming pool and grounds are lovely. The rooms are very spacious and so to is the bathroom - we had a great walk in shower and a separate toilet. The food is delicious - breakfast is lovely and lunch (if you want it) is great and dinner delicious - we ate there every night as so nice. There is also a nice pool bar for cocktails. The location is also very convenient and about 15 minutes from the airport. Highly recommend this place Stayed March 2017, traveled as a couple"
