Tugu Malang: "Classic and Traditional"
"What should I say about my amazing stay in Hotel Tugu Malang? The room was excellent. They even provided us with FREE high tea between 4-6PM and they served very very good Indonesian traditional cakes and desserts. They also gave us 10 minutes complimentary shoulder massage. This hotel is like a monument. They gave us a free tour of the hotel and so we can see different rooms offered. Unfortunately, we stayed only for a night. Definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Malang!! This is the best place to stay."Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge: "Magical stay"
"We spent 2 nights at Tiger Mountain but it could have been much more. Superb stay from our first pick up and welcome to our goodbye. From Pokhara it is about 40 min drive up the mountain on a typical Nepali road but then you arrive in an tranquil oasis where you will only hear the birds. Lodge is located on a mountain with sweeping views over Pokhara valley on both sides. Rooms have amazing views towards the Himalayas, perfect for sunrise watching (they will serve coffee/tea and cookies at about 5.30 in your room to accompany the sunrise) Upon our arrival, the lunch table was set on the terrace with a view to the Himalayas and we were served delicious Nepali dishes. Tea was served in the afternoon with home made snacks. Followed by happy hour at 6 and diner around 7.30. Again with delicious Nepali dishes. Had amazing jackfruit curry, some sort of stir fried ferns, spinach dish, home made chutneys, water buffalo curries. I think I would have exploded after a week at the lodge as I had to finish everything. Quality of the food is fantastic, all organic, grown in the area, fresh and everything home made. Even the herbal tea came from their own garden. In the morning there was home made yoghurt with homemade muesli, homemade jams & preserves, honey from Pokhara, homemade bread. Yummy. The lodge offers guides to take you for walks according to your liking. We did a village walk around the hotel and the next day a ridge walk where we had beautiful views over the rice terraces, villages and Himalayas. The guide took us through villages and explained about village life. Staff at the lodge is fantastic: friendly, helpful and offering great service. There is a swimming pool with again magical views, certainly in the early morning you can see the Himalayas reflected in the water. It is a shame it is so far away from Hong Kong otherwise I would be back for a relaxing long weekend. And there is only wifi in the lobby (if it is working, this is Nepal) so relaxing is really good as you can't connect to the outside world! "Stayed again at the Governor's House in Phnom Penh. Always a pleasurable experience, the welcoming atmosphere, friendliness of the staff, very human scale of the hotel, and above all unparallelled taste with which it has been decorated..Have a drink and a talk at the lobby bar, and feel slipping back in time to yesteryear... Will keep coming back."Cuca: "Is worth the drive…excellent Tapas"
"The food and cocktails are excellent ! Totally worth the drive. First we start with the cocktail. They are tasty and pretty to the eyes. The tapas are creative and tasty. We love the Bravas, Black squid ""risotto"". Black squid ""risotto"" is made of finely cut squid instead of rice. It is yummy and it gives a different texture as compared to normal risotto. Bravas - Tempeh with sundried tomato gives a nice taste to the usually blend tempeh. Their garden setting is nice and should the weather permit, it will be nice to dine there. Good service as well !"The Hue House: "Amazing authentic Vietnamese food and service"
My partner and I visited this restaurant around 6pm, staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Also has a beautiful view of Ho Chi Minh City! And the food was absolutely amazing! Will definitely be back!MesaStila: "Tranquility"
"Tranquil and relaxing this retreat has everything you need for a break from the ordinary. My husband and I just returned from a four fabulous nights at MesaStila, its low season so not very many other guests but all the facilities were available and we were kindly upgraded to an Arum Villa. A large breakfast each morning filled us till tea time, both of which are included in the room price. Dinners were a very good selection of both asian and western foods but i'd highly recommend sticking with the Javanese dishes that the chef, Arya Kusumaatmaja, prepares so excellently. each day has an assortment of activities that are included such as , yoga, coffee plantation tour, martial arts, etc. and there are many optional tours you can book. The staff were all very friendly and professional, the village tour we took with one of the staff( I'm sorry I don't have his name to hand) was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable and brought us to several small cottage industries that are well 'off the beaten track'. I've already recommended this place to my expat friends who travel extensively throughout asia and I look forward to going back again someday "The Island Lodge: "So glad that we stayed at the hotel, although it was for only one night"
The quality of the service in Vietnam is first class. This is the fifth hotel we have stayed in during our visit and they have all been excellent. The Island Lodge is a bit special. It is the vision of the owner and his wife. You get the feeling that you are staying as a house guest. The only pity for us was that our stay was only for one night. Do have a massage or other treatment. I am sure there is lots to see around the hotel but we just soaked up the atmosphere along with having some great food and a few beers.Manukan Island Resort: "Superb"
Amazing scenery, excellent beach, brilliantly designed tree houses, very good foods and well trained employees. Manukan island has the best beach in the area in terms of soil and snorkelling and this resort makes the experience even better oneMaison Polanka: "Even better than advertised!"
"To have seen the gorgeous pictures on their website and read the lovely descriptions, one might say “not possible”, but somehow, Maison Polanka manages to exceed one’s expectations --greatly! Our group stayed in the Khmer House and Green Room. Both are spacious and full of character, with an impeccable and sophisticated mix of contemporary and traditional decorations. But rest assured that here style does not come at the expense of guests’ comfort: Extremely comfortable beds; powerful and responsive AC; inviting bathrooms with walk-in showers; indulgent bed and bath linens and amenities; everything spotlessly clean; etc. (...) Service was extraordinarily attentive. At Maison Polanka, our needs and wants were not simply met, they were anticipated. A few examples of the innumerable gestures of hospitality and warmth extended to our group by Cathy and every one of the staff at Maison Polanka : Throughout our four-day stay (amidst the steamy and broiling heat of September ...), every single time we came back to the hotel, no sooner did we walk through the gate when we would be met with chilled towels and a smile; our group was eternally grateful for the abundant supply of chilled towels (with menthol) and bottled water that Maison Polanka so thoughtfully sent with our touring van; knowing our tight schedules, Cathy and Harold worked tirelessly and thoughtfully (and even with last-minute revisions) to be sure that our tours and shopping excursions met our interests; Cathy knew our flight details better than we, and she and Harold were the ones who kept checking with our airline for the most accurate updates while we shamefully lounged around; the yogurt at breakfast was so good, I offered a taste to a friend; within minutes, yogurt magically appeared on her tray. By the way, there is a great deal of talents in the kitchen at Maison Polanka where the preparations reflected a preference for refined nuances and where the presentation was visually stunning : We fell in love with Cambodian cuisine here (...) To the owners of Maison Polanka and to everyone of their amazing staff: thank you for creating for your guests this haven in Siem Reap!"MesaStila: "Resort yang Istimewa"
