"Amazing stay at Sanak Retreat! We loved every minute! The Retreat is beautiful, the villas very comfortable, the decoration is outstanding and it looks like ""time stand still""! The service, the food and the attention to all our needs were fantastic! The Spa was amazing and the 3 hours walking tour was very nice and an educative activity. We leave in Bali and it was a great getaway with the family. Hardly recommend for a few days relaxation. Thank you Sanak Team! We will be back! Stayed here for my 30th bday weekend with some friends. Beautiful Hotel, centrally located, amazing pool. Friendly and very helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious and complimentary. I will definitely be coming back here! All my friends loved it too. Ask for Paul the GM- he will make sure you have the best weekend ever and will advice you where to go and what to do and send you to the non tourist trap places.Villa Mathis: "Impeccable service in a stunning location"
"I stayed overnight at Villa Mathis (lombok room). The room is huge and very beautiful. The decor is sumptuous. My room had an office desk, which is perfect for laptop (work). The restaurant and the gardens/houses are interesting : there are statues, curtains, giant chairs and stone chess boards, as well as reading areas. - So much space!! The gardens are impeccably manicured. The staff is experienced but at the same time they are discreet. Breakfast is huge (too much:) and they have decent coffee. The bungalows are in what they call a ""villa""; grouped around a pool and open space living area. And everywhere you look, you can discover museum-like items.I didn't venture into the other areas but I understand that each bungalow is different. I was in an area called ""maison rouge"". Fuimos a este restaurante la última noche del viaje en bali y fue la mejor decisión que tomamos.. Se nota que hay mucho trabajo y disciplina en cada uno de lo detalles de este restaurante desde el diseño el personal el concepto......llegamos aqui a las 6 de la tarde para tomar un almuerzo-cena... As soon as you enter you leave the hectic world behind. Beautiful, tranquil, restful; we've never been anywhere quite like this. "Great place, great location and super great food and staff. They deserve to be number one. I like the mushroom soup. The red-meat main courses are all superb. Will try fish next visit. The wine selection is quite abundant and diverse. Would love to see ""Chablis"" in the list though. I give them 3-star Michelin equivalent. Appreciate personalized welcome amenities, one of a kind. Wonderful food in a fantastic restaurant. Great care has been taken to create a dish which produced the most amazing combination of flavours and textures. My husband and I spent 5 nights at this hotel and it was wonderful. The hotel has been opened less than a year and feels immaculate. There are so many positives about this place. The design of the hotel and gardens, the very conscientious staff that make you feel special, the high quality finish of the rooms and the superb breakfasts. The hotel is not crowded and so the swimming pool area is very private we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. A nice touch was a free glass of wine or bubbly during some of our evening meals. There was live music on 3 nights of the five we stayed which we enjoyed. We had a fantastic chef board one evening in the restaurant which was delicious. The only thing that would make this hotel even better would perhaps be spa or massage treatments. There aren't fantastic spas in the area and as the hotel has such pretty gardens that would have been lovely. A wonderful hotel, stay here you won't regret it!Manda De Laos: "Delicious"
"The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is delicious! The restaurant is developed around a natural steam with luxurious flora, palms and a lot of different varieties of trees that create an elegant and sophisticated atmosphere and is decorated with fine taste. The kitchen is Laotian with French/westerns influence. We have ordered le pate' Laotian, crunchy rice salad and banana flower salad as appetizers. Tanguy duck tamarind sauce, steamed chicken hormok style and buffalo steak as mains and choix banana as dessert. Every dish was delicious and I recommend all of them. The combination of many different flavors was fine and the result amazing. The portions were generous and the presentation impressive and studied in every small detail. "We stayed here at the beginning of our trip to Vietnam for three nights, with the intention of recovering from jet lag at a leisurely place and pace. One of us had started the trip with a nasty cold and we decided it needed a look from a doctor. The hotel owner, Michel and his assistant Amy were very helpful in arranging this quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Within a couple of hours we had been to the local clinic (with Amy on hand to translate) and returned with appropriate medications.
