Rice & Zen Boutique Resort: "Oustanding resort. Everyone needs to stay here"

Review by: Olivia G | Source: Trip Advisor
"We spent 3 nights here, looking for relaxation and a beautiful setting. We definitely got this and more. The service was fantastic, staff were happy to help in anyway possible and went above and beyond. The food is some of the best I've ever tasted, not to mention the cocktails! Whilst it wasn't walking distance from town, it is very easy to get a taxi and to be honest...you might just find that you never want to leave the resort anyway as they have everything you need! I will definitely be back! Stayed February 2017, traveled with friends"

Rachamankha: "Best place in the old city of Chiang Mai"

Review by: DutchWassenaar | Source: Trip Advisor
"Great location in the old town. Beautifull hotel. Charming and only 25 rooms. Nice room. Great restaurant with great food. Again the waiters do not speak english. How is this posible in a 5 star hotel? Nice pool but very bad hard chairs and no service at the pool the first day we were there. Breakfast is efficiently served A la carte. A bit strange; paper on the table during breakfast. Feels like we are in a cheap Chinese restaurant. In all the best place in the Old City."

Nam Bo Boutique Hotel: "Superb hitel"

Review by: Chris R | Source: Trip Advisor
Stayed here for 2 nights in a corner suite. These are the best as they have brilliant views with 3 sets of doors onto balconies. Absolutely fantastic hotel and very helpful staff. Our breakfast was served in the restaurant on the top floor, where we could sit outside. The quality of the food was excellent. Although it was extremely hot the staff found fans to cool us down. I would definitely recommend it and would gladly return.

SEEDS Restaurant & Lounge: "A beautiful restaurant"

Review by: Kerensa2014 | Source: Trip Advisor
"I only managed to try the top 2 recommended restaurants in Yangon - Seeds and Le Planteur and have to say that Seeds is number 1 for good reasons. Everything in this restaurant is beautiful - the food, decor and grounds which fronts the lake with lotus flowers. It’s perhaps better to come before night falls in order to fully appreciate the surroundings. The place is a little difficult to find and signage not very prominent so do ensure that your driver knows it before you set off. Food is gorgeous and the service is good and staff cheerful. If you only time to visit one restaurant in Yangon, make it this one."

Tugu Lombok: "Beautiful Hotel Tugu Lombok where you can relax, destress and be pampered"

Review by: donnafig | Source: Trip Advisor
Hotel Tugu Lombok's hotel rooms are filled with amazing antiques, yet modern with a huge TV and free wifi. Our bathroom was indoor/outdoor and I must say it was a uniquely wonderful experience to take a shower outdoors in a mosaic tub. The open air restaurant serves delicious meals and overlooks the common pool and a view of the ocean. The 15 minute welcome massage was so wonderful that I booked a one hour massage. Along their beach Hotel Tugu has strategically placed double beds (yes beds) complete with sheets, thrown pillows and a food tray. The perfect spot to relax, have drinks, snacks, dinner and when it becomes dusk, candles are lit around the beds. It was so relaxing to lie back and hear the crash of the waves and enjoy star gazing. During my stay I booked a car tour of Lombok and I saw people and places that most tourists did not. If you are looking for a more in depth look of Lombok and its people you will not be disappointed in this tour. I was fortunate to have had my tour with Budi. His English is extremely good and he is a courteous and gracious guide. Hotel Tugu Lombok is what every vacation live up to.

David’s Kitchen: "Amazing Food and Wine"

Review by: ericgoodman2017 | Source: Trip Advisor
"Superb experience. Beautiful, calm space in which to dine. A graceful, accommodating staff, and a tremendous kitchen. My wife's printed name and mine greeted us when we reached the table. Nice touch. The menu is traditional French/Continental, exceedingly well-done. Highlights on the food side were the pumpkin veloute, the fois gras, the grilled duck breast, . We ordered one set menu (4 courses) and three a la carte courses; the waiter immediately offered to divide the extra soup course into two servings, which was thoughtful and kind, as was the rest of the very attentive service. The waiters and sommelier spoke excellent English, by the way. David, the owner, stopped by our table several times, and we had a lengthy conversation about wine, a passion for both of us. In general, ordering fine wine in Thailand is an expensive nuisance, because of the 400% import tax. As a rule, we don't, because you end up paying $50 dollars for mouthwash. However, the refined food at David's Kitchen cries out for good wine, and to make that possible, David keeps his wine prices LOW. I was delighted to find a bottle of St. Cosme's 2016 Cotes du Rhone for roughly the same price I've paid for it in US restaurants. Remarkable that it was both available at David's Kitchen and fairly priced. In summation, this is an exceptionally fine restaurant, one of a kind here in Chiang Mai, and if you are looking for a special place for a special meal, I recommend it most highly."

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Wild at Heart"

Review by: sabrinaMelbourneVic | Source: Trip Advisor
"As we pulled up to the meeting point , we were met with a striking man in safari attire, Danu. Danu (our host) is a much younger Sri Lankan version of Sir David Attenborough-with a dash of Indiana Jones. His knowledge for wildlife is amazing and he has an eagle eye for spotting animals as did our amazing driver who is so knowledgable and we loved hearing about his tiger encounters in India. Both these guys are passionate conservationists but make it really interesting and are very sensitive to the needs of wildlife and safari newbies. My husband and I became so comfortable around then we found ourselves asking ridiculous questions like ""Does that elephant get lonely?"" Danu is a true professional for keeping a straight face when he answered ""Um, I haven't gotten around to asking him""... We are still laughing about but seriously these guys are like your personal wildlife Wikipedia. We booked the normal tents and were absolutely blown away by the luxury. We have been staying in 5 Star hotels throughout Sri Lanka but this was the cleanest room/tent we have ever seen with the crispest sheets and plugs for my phone. I will miss my outdoor shower, there is no better feeling than having an outdoor shower after a big day in the park. I have to talk about the food. It was next level! This was by far the best food I have had in Sri Lanka and what made it SO special was Danu showing us how to eat it like a local. I loved learning about the cuisine and Sri Lankan culture under the stars. The guys who were serving us in the bar and restaurant- a lantern lit space under the stars treated me like a jungle queen! I miss them already and plan to kidnap them the next time I come back. So I would highly recommend these guys to anyone who has a deep respect for wildlife, a love for a bit of luxury in the jungle and those who are wild at heart. Yala is calling for you. Ki and Keelan"

Dewakan: "A culinary adventure"

Review by: Anithashim | Source: Trip Advisor
"It's definitely a trek to get there but the reward far outweighs the hassle! Finally in Malaysia a restaurant brave enough to march to its own tune. Dewakan embodies everything that Malaysians have always known about with regards to flavours and ingredients but has never been able to harness. Here the true beauty of Malaysian food at its highest standard is served with pride. I can rave about each individual dish but I will let the photos speak in my stead. Speaking to Chef Darren Teoh, the passion and dedication to produce the best is clearly evident. Dewakan is clearly in uncharted waters but its upward trajectory is plainly evident. I look forward to many more meals there."
