The Island lodge: "Gorgeous retreat along the Mekong River; exceptional staff"

Gorgeous retreat along the Mekong River. We stayed in one of the garden bungalows and had such a peaceful and lovely time after our frenetic few days in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel grounds are beautiful with wonderful landscaping of the lush, natural greenery. Breakfast is included and is taken in the open air lounge looking onto the pool and the river. The pool itself is beautiful with plenty of loungers and a good mix of sun and shade, and you can watch the Mekong River drift by as you enjoy a drink from the bar a few steps away. The staff at The Island Lodge really made the whole experience extra special - everyone was so kind and welcoming to my husband and I during our stay. Chau (the manager) was absolutely the best - she was so helpful and attentive to all of our requests, coordinating with her staff to ensure we were well taken care of the entire time. She gave us recommendations of local restaurants and some sightseeing places in My Tho, too, when we wanted to venture out, and helped arrange our transportation. The hotel is very secluded and a bit out of the way from the town and other attractions but for this kind of property I believe that is sort of the point. We chose to stay here for a few days between Ho Chi Minh and a river cruise leaving from Can Tho. I would highly recommend staying here if you plan to go to the Mekong Delta area (it’s worth a stay on its own, even if you DIDN’T already plan on coming to the area)!

Noel Rodrigo’s Leopard Safaris: "Amazing weekend"

"This has been the best weekend we have experienced since arriving in Sri Lanka 10 months ago. This safari, from the greeting of cold face washer, cold drink and big smiles to the amazing food served at every meal (with attention to detail never experienced before) is by far one of the best experiences. The guides (most with Masters degrees), the chef (waistline is bigger than I started with) and all the behind the scenes means 6-7 star camping. Truly not sure that camping adequately covers. The knowledge of the park, the enthusiasm and the interest taken means this is one of the must do things when visiting Sri Lanka. Thanks Samirya, Pasindu and Praneeth - you are truly amazing. Villa Song Saigon: "oasis"

"From start to finish pure quality far enough from the hustle of the city. The hotel offers a free taxi service by boat into the city a great way to travel in and out . The cost of the evening meal is not cheap but it is pure quality and very tranquil sat by the river watching the surroundings light up. All the staff are outstanding . we spent three nights then travelled to nah trang for ten days Returned for one night are flight was not till 12.00 the following night the staff could not have been more helpfull thet provided us with another room to prepare for the return trip."

The River Resort: "Magical spot on the mighty Mekong"

This is a peaceful and tranquil spot, views of the river and surrounding mountains are stunning. Sunrise over the water was mesmerising. Chamapasak is a sweet little town and Wat Phou, an enchanting temple complex, is a short moped ride away. The staff were charming and attentive and helpful.

Pindaya Farm House: "Fantastic"

It was our last day in Myanmar just before flying to Yangoon and back home. It was exactly the place we were looking for after visiting and staying at different hotels around Myanmar. The location and the big hut are magical, look and feel as if inside a legend. The warm hospitality and the great food made us feel at home. unfortunately we stayed there 1 night only. Could stay there for a week.

Tugu Bali: "Thursday cultural event"

Thursday I went with some friends to see the Balinese dances and the truth is that very well worth it. We had a drink and we could be there the whole show. We did not stay or eat dinner but everything had to be very careful painting and thought. Highly recommended dances!

Manda De Laos: "Best restaurant in town"

The food was amazing and service was great! The decor is beautiful, probably the nicest in Luang Prabang.

Maison Polanka: "We felt very privileged…"

"We felt very privileged to stay at la Maison Polanka. It is not a hotel; no room number, you take off your shoes before entering your room, someone comes to you with a cold scented towel when entering the property after a walk, a waiter brings you a glass of water when sitting in the garden... Everything is organized to make you feel like you are a special guest! Cathy the manager understands your expectations and is totally dedicated to her job and to make you feel special. (...) The house is authentic, full of charm and character. The garden is amazing and the large pool is warm and always clean. Staying at Maison Polenka made us feel very privileged and we would definitely recommend it for anyone who wishes to find a peaceful, tailored-to-your-needs, beautiful and comfortable place! Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion Logo Cheong Fatt Tze – Blue Mansion: "An amazing, surreal place to stay."

The Blue Mansion is such an amazing place to stay. You feel as though you've stepped back in time, while taking all the comforts from modern society with you. The staff here were amazing and really went out of their way to make the stay special. The beds were super comfortable and the room extremely clean.
