Villa Song Saigon: "Just perfect"

Review by: Maryline S | Source: tripadvisor.com
"Villa song is a little gem of a boutique hotel by the Saigon river away from busy HCMC, which can be reached by free shuttle in under 25 min. It has a pool which is a godsend after a hot day in town. The room was lovely spacious and well appointed from the Nespresso machine, kettle, free mini bar, apple tv remote if you wish to download some stuff... i could go on and on. (...) The personnel was very attentive eager to help always with a smile and well organized, which is a credit to the management team. This was the most perfect way to end our tour of Vietnam, we left on a high note though wishing we had stayed longer. I don't think you will find anything better that this hidden gem"

Manukan Island Resort: "10 idyllic days in paradise"

Review by: juniorBrighton | Source: Trip Advisor
"Hillside villas: fantastic, bright, airy, separate bedroom and lounge, satellite tv incl movies, huge bathroom with waterfall tap over bath, good warm showers, lovely little touches like slippers, bathrobes, 2 complimentary waters, 2 cokes, and 2 sprites per day. For cheaper and no steps the beach suites are newly renovated, very nice, a couple of minutes walk from the private beach area, 5 minutes walk max from restaurant, view nice but is on edge of busy public beach. Wi-fi was assigned to each room and worked all the time for me. 27 rooms/villas total now. Beach: We stayed on private beach for 10 days - wow! Gorgeous, soft white sand and lovely warm sea, palm trees full of coconuts, views of the rainforest, sunsets, monitor lizard takes a nightly swim. The beach is cleaned immaculately daily. But the seabed does need to be cleaned more from odd bits of rubbish - we mentioned to Ben, the Manager, who is talking with Sabah Parks about it. It did NOT put us off sea swimming. Facilities: huge varied breakfast outside with fans, we had all meals outside with fans - perfect, even on the beach! 16 choices on the menu but Joey the chef made a different vegetarian menu for me every night, at a very good price, our maximum bills were 65MR pp for huge buffet , most meals were less than this, even with starters. We spent under £300 for the 10 nights on food and drink! A bargain. Alcohol expensive, as per Borneo. This is indicative of the personalised service at Manukan - everything is possible, just ask! Quiet bar, pool area very quiet but nice, small parties come for an evening meal from the mainland some nights. 3 piece acoustic & bass band serenade you every night too. Staff: EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. Friendly, not intrusive, really care about all the clients and their happiness. Small and informal with very high standards of cleanliness and service. Thank you Ben, Welther, Joey, Sabre, Frederick, Yazid, Shima, Jessica, the new Mazilla, Nora, the band,.... The monitor lizards are safe and lovely to watch, hardly any spiders at all, but we used lots of deet against the mosquitoes (not too bad) and sand flies. There are mosquito plug-ins in the villa and a coil is lit at the evening turn-down service so you can continue to sit on the balcony at night. Things to do: we went on a day trip to Kota Kinabalu to see the City Mosque and do some shopping in one of the malls. Management and reception will arrange a boat at a good price 65 mr pp return (£13) or you can use the public one, slightly cheaper. It is only 10 minutes. From Manukan - There are watersports - thankfully they go offshore so it is not noisy, the sea-walking looked amazing, trips to other islands, snorkelling trips (there are not many fish jsut off the beach in comparison to the Maldives but other guests said the 3 island trip was good for fish). Cafe and shop run independently too if you need, but Manukan also sells the necessities, toiletries, drinks, crisps, beer in their shop too. A longer stay, 10 nights, allowed us to really appreciate this island. We had been to Sepilok Sanctuaries and also Turtle island before and were glad to have such peace in magical surroundings. Our memories will last forever. Do not hesitate to ask questions. Jayne and Mark"

tugu lombok: "A little bit of paradise”"

Review by: Valproct | Source: tripadvison.com
"We have just had a 4 night break at this lovely Hotel. It has all of the wow factors and the staff treated us like royalty. It is a wonderful place to have a peaceful break away from the stress of work or city life and highly recommended. A word of warning about travelling to Lombok. Try and get a direct flight. We travelled from Singapore via Jakarta and had to change terminals which was a nightmare. We were given conflicting information about baggage and terminal numbers, which was all very stressful. "

David’s Kitchen: "Memorable six star experience"

Review by: BarbaraMD | Source: Trip Advisor
"We started our evening with the shuttle sent by The restaurant to pick us up at our hotel. The magic began. Words are not enough to describe our experience. The fabulous staff, the Decor, the high quality and food the attention to detail coupled with the warm personality of the family that owns this restaurant make this experience magical. My husband started his dinner with his favorite escargot and then a wonderful steak with a wine sauce. I enjoyed the spicy flavorful gazpacho and the chicken beast entree to keep with my diet. My husband enjoyed the homemade ice cream for dessert. If you are visiting Chiang Mei don't miss this experience. Thank you David and Prom and all the staff."

Mathis Retreat: "Small, peaceful and calming paradise in the ricefields"

Review by: Ajda S | Source: Trip Advisor
My boyfriend and I started our Bali journey in the heart of the island. After a good hour drive we arrived at the Kenanga Boutique Hotel in Ubud and were totally amazed by it only after a few minutes of our stay. Away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud downtown, the hotel offers breathtaking views of the rice fields. A sleep in the traditional-inspired suite made all the anxiety and jetlag disappear, the staff was extremely nice and made us feel very welcome, while the whole atmosphere left us feeling relaxed and peaceful. Beside the outstanding views, Kenanga has the most amazing infinity pool. A swim by the rice field panorama, relaxes your mind in a nicest way possible. I had one of the best breakfasts in there, the food overall was extremely delicious (I would highly suggest you visit their Terra Cotta restaurant for a healthy meal with the best view ever) The hotel was the perfect starting point for exploring the Ubud area (...) The reason more why I would recommend a Kenanga stay is the fact that they are highly connected with the local community, therefore they are helping good local people make their living. The manager was very kind and helpful, providing us with many relevant information. The overall experience exceeded our expectations, a calming and relaxing feel made us forget about the worries and opened the Bali trip we would surely never forget.

Tugu Bali: "Best location in Canggu"

Review by: FredericSiebold | Source: Trip Advisor
"Tugu Bali offers the best location in whole Canggu. It is right opposite Old Mans Restaurant which is a huge meeting point for all the surfers and hip people in that area. The hotel is so close to the beach and has its own private garden area which overlooks the beach. The Tugu Totel has some impressive historical pieces of the Indonesian history. It is so interesting and the staff can even tell you something about it. When we arrived we got welcomed by the lovely staff which sat down with us to do the check in. While that happened we got served welcome drinks and ice cold towels. You can choose your own welcome drinks. We chose a refreshing watermelon and a fruit shake. I’ve got the biggest watermelon I’ve ever seen and I was surprised how good it tasted. The staff brought our luggage to our Rejang Suite which was upstairs. It is nestled within private gardens, small “rivers” and ponds of fish. The Suite is impressive and very spacious. It comes with a huge king sized bed. It is air conditioned and has asian décon and wooden furniture. Our room view was towards the gardens AND the ocean. The bathroom has a well pressured rain shower and another room also offers a spacious bathtub. The room gets minus points for its poor Wi-Fi and for the mosquitoes. Luckily the bed comes with a huge mosquito net. Make sure there aren’t any in there before you go to sleep. I really liked the traditional architecture and the wonderful gardens on the property. It is a perfect place to relax as it is really quiet everywhere. I only used the pool once to cool down at night and I loved it. During the day the pool is not crowded at all and invites you for a refreshing dip. The private garden area at the beach is also a highlight. It comes with huge sun lounges and beds. You can even have breakfast here. You can have breakfast everywhere and anytime you want. I fell in love with that service right away. From that garden area it is only a couple steps to the beach. The staff or security will watch your stuff, no worries. Be careful on the beach and keep in mind that the beach is mainly for surfing. Sometimes there are huge waves and strong currents. I really enjoyed that but if you aren’t a good swimming you should really think twice. During sunset the garden/beach area is also highly recommended. You can watch a beautiful sunset with a lot of privacy and in peace, while next to you a hundred people sit together on the grass of “The Lawn”. You are going to feel special on your spot.  The Hotel comes with in-house restaurants which serve authentic Indonesian food to Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Another highlight is their own Japanese Restaurant called “Ji”. We were blown away by any dish. Every single dish was so delicious, from the Sushi to the tenderloin steak to the desserts. Oh and don’t forget to try the afternoon tea. We always enjoyed that on a big sun lounge on the private garden area next to the beach. You’ll served tasty Indonesian sweets. It’s a nice experience. I had a really relaxing stay there and can highly recommend it."

Golden Buddha Beach Resort: "Paradise"

Review by: “Paradise” | Source: Trip Advisor
"This is one of my favorite places in the world. As soon as you wade ashore off the long tail boat that drops you off you know your somewhere special. It's a wonderful escape from work, city living and the world. There's nothing to do here but relax. A 10km long beach with pretty much no one on it and beautiful water. Small islands and mangrove swamps to explore by kayak. Beautiful beach homes to kick back in. The option of yoga in the morning and massage any time of day. Stayed January 2017, traveled with family"

Maison Polanka: "A Tranquil Haven"

Review by: Rohese77 | Source: Trip Advisor
A beautiful traditional Cambodian house, with just five rooms, it could not have been more perfect. Set in a tropical garden with a lovely pool. Nothing is too much trouble, delicious breakfast and we had several lunches and suppers here. Just a 10 minute Tuk Tok ride from the manic hub of Siem Reap. I cannot recommend it more highly. Perfect place to releax after the excursions to the Temples.
